00:21in 2025 that we're most hyped for.

00:55Rainworld DLC
01:09This indie darling developed a rabid following upon its release.
01:12The combination of an adorable mascot like Slugcat and the brutal difficulty of trying
01:17to survive in a world where traps and predators lurk around every corner made it the most
01:22adorable of masochistic endeavours.
01:43With a crazy number of levels to navigate and the constant threat of deadly downpours,
01:47there was plenty here for genre fans to cut their teeth on.
01:50The upcoming Watcher DLC has you playing as the titular night cat, going beyond the bounds
01:56of the drenched city and likely having to survive against a whole host of new hazards
02:00along the way.
02:12Atomic Heart DLC
02:25Sadly this isn't the Jensen Ackles DLC we were all hoping for, but for those that enjoyed
02:30the steampunk aesthetics of Atomic Heart and were able to look past its blemishes, then
02:34good news!
02:35Because the new enchantment under the Sea DLC is right around the corner.
02:51While we're not exactly sure how expansive the new area will be, we've been assured
02:55it's got a bunch of potentially broken weaponry waiting in the wings, an undersea
02:59locale to explore and likely a whole host of more robots to kill.
03:03If they find a way to bring back the ballerinas as mermaids, we're all in.
03:22Chained Echoes DLC
03:35We've seen our fair share of games that call back to the retro 16-bit era.
03:39Some fall short, some hit the mark, and some rise above all expectations.
03:45Chained Echoes sat comfortably as an incredible homage to some of the genre's greatest.
03:49The Xenogears and Final Fantasy inspirations are baked into its bones, and thanks to some
03:54modern tune-ups, it played like a dream.
04:10Overall an impressive outing, especially from a single developer.
04:14And now there's more on the way.
04:16Ashes of Elrond will take Glen and the party to a new kingdom, filled with new threats
04:20and even a new playable character to add to the roster.
04:23Given the two year development cycle, we can only imagine the polish on this.
04:40Sea of Stars DLC
04:54Speaking of games that rose above their foundations, Sea of Stars blew collective minds with just
04:59how far it was able to push its pixel art style and yesteryear mechanics to become one
05:04of the most beloved indie RPGs, echoing the talent, creativity and joy found in the likes
05:21of masterpieces like Chrono Trigger.
05:23Thankfully the journey of the two solstice warriors isn't over yet.
05:37Throes of the Watchmaker is set to send the cast into a clockwork inspired world, while
05:42taking on the threat of a cursed carnival.
05:44After seeing what the developers did with traditional high fantasy, we can only imagine
05:48the visual treat we're in for when we go up against their version of psychotic carnies.
06:03Lies of Pea DLC
06:18This Pinocchio inspired soulslike rocked every gamers socks off upon arrival, going on to
06:23become a juggernaut capable of holding its own against the big boys over at FromSoft.
06:44And ever since we got that teaser of an ending, we knew it was only a matter of time before
06:48we had to dust off the strings and get back into the fray.
07:03While rumours suggest we can expect to be slashing our way through a lighthouse setting,
07:07we're still hoping Dorothy and her stakes in this twisted world are made clear.
07:11If we're going to have to battle through some of classic literature's most iconic
07:15characters, we're going to have to get back to the grind.
