00:00In Palestine, Gaza, health measures reported at least 59 civilians killed over the last
00:1424 hours in Israeli attacks.
00:19In China, authorities reported at least 8 people dead and 15 others injured in a fire
00:24at a market in Hebei province.
00:30In Argentina, President Mele's move to dissolve the general poor administration will result
00:34in at least 79% of the workforce to be dismissed.
00:42Hello welcome from the south, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from the Lesos studios in Havana, Cuba.
00:47We begin with the news.
01:06The UN High Commission for Human Rights, or COTURG, has denounced that Israel has bombed
01:1027 hospitals and 12 medical centers in Gaza.
01:13COTURG stated that Israeli attacks during the nearly 15 months of conflict have left
01:18over 108,000 wounded, of whom many have died while awaiting treatment due to lack of access
01:23to medical care.
01:24He also noted the increasing obstacles imposed by Israel on UN agencies and other humanitarian
01:30organizations seeking to provide aid in Gaza.
01:33The Commission also stressed that the intentional targeting of hospitals constitutes a war crime,
01:39And since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, Israel has refused to allow independent
01:44investigations into its actions in Gaza and has blocked journalists' access to the conflict
01:49zone.
01:55Pro-Palestinian humanitarian organizations denounced the situation of children in the
01:58Gaza Strip amidst the ongoing Israeli siege.
02:02Humanitarian activists described as dire the living conditions in the coastal enclave during
02:062024.
02:07They also denounced the absence that in the absence of a ceasefire, occupation troops
02:12are advancing their genocidal operation, killing thousands of innocent people, including hundreds
02:17of children.
02:18To this is added the arrival of winter, in the context of which children lost their lives
02:23due to prolonged exposure to low temperatures, as they did not have the resources or adequate
02:29shelter to take refuge.
02:33In Palestine, Gaza's health ministry reported at least 59 civilians killed over the last
02:3924 hours in Israeli attacks.
02:41Health authorities said Israeli troops committed four massacres against Gazan families, leaving
02:46also at least 273 wounded.
02:49Authorities warned that there are still victims trapped under the rubble that cannot be reached
02:54by ambulance and civil defense teams.
02:57Since October 7, 2003, to date, occupation forces have killed at least 45,717 Palestinians
03:05and injured 108,856 others, mostly women and children.
03:17The representative of Russia to the United Nations, Vassily Nevinsky, pointed to the
03:20administration of President Joe Biden as responsible for the war crimes perpetrated by Israel in
03:27Gaza.
03:28The statement was made during an emergency session the Security Council convened because
03:32of the extreme medical health situation in the Strip.
03:35Experts invited to the conclave explained that Israel has destroyed the health system
03:40of the Palestinian enclave.
03:41In this context, the United States Representative Dorothy Shee defended the attack on the health
03:46centers, assuring that Hamas used them to store weapons, a fact that has never been
03:50proven in the 15 months of the genocidal operation against Gaza.
03:56In these circumstances, the Director General of the WHO, Dr. Tedros Jibreis, who, as we
04:07all remember a few days ago, miraculously survived an Israeli attack at the Sinai Airport,
04:12announced that the health sector in Gaza is under serious threat and called on the Israeli
04:17authorities to cease their attacks on medical institutions and to release the leaders and
04:21medical staff of the Camelot Hospital in Gaza.
04:23He announced that the health sector in Gaza is under serious threat and called on the
04:27Israeli authorities to cease their attacks on medical institutions and to release the
04:31leaders and medical staff of the Camelot Hospital in Gaza, who were detained during the Israeli
04:38military incursion.
04:40But this call clearly fell on deaf ears.
04:42In West Jerusalem, the response was an Israeli attack on the hospital.
04:46Like the Al-Aqsa Hospital, many people were killed and dozens wounded.
04:50The inhumanity of Israel's actions, which depend on the unreserved support of Washington,
04:55is becoming increasingly clear.
05:13The European Environmental Commission has issued an alert due to a water supply crisis
05:17in Europe, and it has called for increased investment in aqueducts and pipelines.
05:22According to the environmental agency, Europe has concentrated its efforts on the energy
05:26issue and neglected the water crisis affecting the region's industrial and agricultural sectors.
05:31The organization warned about upcoming droughts and climate change, possibly leading to the
05:36malfunctioning of nuclear plants and river transport.
05:39Commission surveys say that every year water scarcity affects one-fifth of the European
05:43territory and almost one-third of its population.
05:51French authorities issued an alert in third departments due to the effect of snow and
05:55black ice.
05:56The National Meteorological Service reported that snow will affect northern territories
06:00of the country, particularly its central and eastern regions.
06:04The agency also warned that snowfalls will be accompanied by freezing rain, expected
06:08to last between one and three hours, thus causing difficulties for road traffic.
06:14The National Meteorological Service urged the population to be alert to the weather
06:17and to follow the authorities' recommendations.
06:24In Uruguay, authorities are implementing preventive measures due to high temperatures and the
06:28associated risk of wildfires.
06:31The Uruguayan Meteorological Institute and the National Emergency System forecast temperatures
06:35of up to 30 degrees Celsius for the coming days in the departments of Montevideo, Canelones
06:40and San Jose.
06:41They stress that due to the present heatwave, almost the entire territory is at high risk
06:46for wildfires.
06:47They recall that most of the fires in the country are man-made and that most cases are
06:53due to negligence.
06:54Authorities have urged citizens to remain alert to mitigate the effects of the heat
06:59and to avoid health complications.

07:21Welcome back.
07:22In the Russian Donetsk region, at least 10 people have been wounded as a result of a
07:25Ukrainian attack on the city of Gorlovka.
07:28According to local authorities, the Ukrainian attack was aimed at a residential area in
07:31the city and they claim the attack was launched from Ukrainian territory.
07:36There are no reports of fatalities nor material damage as a result of this latest Ukrainian
07:41attack.
07:47The so-called Cold War revolutions are threatening the upcoming presidential elections in Belarus
07:51to be held on January 26th, 2025, with only five registered candidates vying for the presidency
07:56including incoming President Alexander Lukashenko.
07:59Let's see.
08:00The pre-election campaign began in Belarus on January 1st, ahead of the presidential
08:07elections of the republic scheduled for January 26th, 2025, despite the apparent political
08:13stability in the country.
08:16The West has started a strong campaign of sabotage and the opposition is preparing marches
08:21and all kinds of provocations in the style of Euromaidan in Kiev with the participation
08:25of far-right groups and foreign agents.
08:30More than 45,000 Polish military personnel are already stationed on the northwestern
08:36border of Belarus, many of them from elite corps, and this number continues to grow.
08:41In addition to Lithuania, where a new base is constantly being built and military equipment,
08:46including both free troops and heavy armored vehicles, is being increased under the guise
08:50of military exercises.
08:53After the last elections in 2020, the situation became so serious that Lukashenko had to take
09:03up arms himself.
09:06This time, there seems to be no candidate nominated by the West, whose aim is always
09:12to disregard the official election results in order to start destabilizing the situation
09:16in the country immediately after the votes are counted.
09:24Poland will try to overthrow Alexander Lukashenko.
09:28Trump does not recognize it.
09:30The U.S. State Department has just issued a statement that U.S. citizens should leave
09:34Belarus because they are preparing destabilization in our allied republic.
09:39We do not rule out that there may be some provocations.
09:43But it won't happen, because we won't allow it.
09:47Because we know who does it.
09:51Recently, Mike Pompeo, who we met with, former director of the CIA and then head of the State
09:57Department, was in Belarus.
09:59He said yes, they couldn't organize a color revolution in Belarus.
10:03Well, what other proof do we need that they interfered in our elections and wanted to
10:07destroy the country?
10:12Belarus is Russia's main ally and, as such, has become a headache for NATO.
10:18An attack against the country could come from Poland, Lithuania or Ukraine.
10:23According to KGB reports, Belarus has been warning about the preparation of provocations
10:27since November last year.
10:31The West is most probably preparing some kind of attack to seize several territories.
10:39The KGB has already reported that, with the help of Polish and Ukrainian volunteers,
10:47several terrorist groups are being prepared that can enter the border territories,
10:51seize separate points and from there declare that they are liberating territories
10:55from the dictatorship of President Lukashenko.
10:59This is one of the variants, and the other is that large launching units
11:03may enter the Western territories of the region.
11:09Western political strategists have enormous experience in organizing
11:13anti-government unrest around the world.
11:17The attempted color revolution in Minsk in 2020 was finally thwarted,
11:21as well as in Georgia at the end of last year.
11:23The West is once again taking a gamble on Belarus.
11:27As its role in the geopolitical landscape is now more important than ever.
11:38South Korea currently experiences its worst political crisis in decades
11:42with impeached President Jun Suk-kyo defying an arrest warrant
11:45from the Corruption Investigation Office.
11:47Jun's supporters have rallied at his official residence,
11:50leading to a stand-off that forced 30 officials to retreat
11:53after being confronted by protesters and military personnel.
11:57Jun's legal team claims the warrant is illegal and has filed an injunction
12:01against the CIO, which expressed regret over the situation,
12:04stating that executing the warrant was practically impossible
12:08due to ongoing confrontations.
12:10While some analysts believe Jun's political power is waning
12:14and he should resign for the nation's stability,
12:17others argue he still retains substantial support
12:20with as much as 40% of South Koreans backing him.
12:29In China, at least 8 people died and 15 others were injured
12:32in a fire that marked in Hebei province.
12:34Local authorities said the fire started at 8 a.m. local time
12:37at a vegetable market in the Qiaoxi district.
12:39According to official reports, the injured were taken
12:42to the nearest health centers where they are receiving medical care.
12:46So far, the cause of the fire is unknown
12:48and there is an investigation underway to clarify the incidents.

13:18Welcome back.
13:2375 soldiers from Guatemala and 8 from El Salvador are in Haiti
13:27to join the military intervention requested by the government
13:30backed by the United States.
13:32The Guatemalan and El Salvadoran soldiers arrived
13:34at the International Airport of Port-au-Prince
13:36where they were met by the head of the Presidential Transition Council
13:39and by the U.S. Ambassador to Haiti.
13:41Meanwhile, Haitian citizens have denounced the inefficiency
13:44of the military contingency in the country
13:47as criminal gangs continue to generate violence
13:49and maintain control over important areas in the capital.
13:52This latest military intervention in Haiti began on June 25, 2024
13:57led by Kenya and is aimed at stopping rampant violence
14:01unleashed by criminal armed gangs.
14:08And in Guatemala, authorities reported
14:10almost 12 million migratory movements in 2024,
14:13an increase of 11.5% over 2023.
14:16Statistics show that overland migratory movements
14:19had the highest activity with 3.6 million departures
14:22and 4 million entries in the country,
14:25while seaports reported 7,726 departures and 7,855 entries.
14:32Likewise, border checkpoints such as the International Airport
14:35La Aurora reported more than 4.2 million movements
14:38and the border of Valle Nuevo in the Department of Jutiapa
14:41near El Salvador reported 2.1 million.
14:45Authorities assured that most of the migratory movements
14:47were made by tourists, while highlighting the work
14:50to reduce the occurrence of irregular entries into the country.
14:58In Ecuador, relatives of the four murdered children
15:01request another DNA analysis abroad
15:03to confirm the identity of the victims.
15:05The victims' parents distrust the Ecuadoran judicial system
15:08as well as the veracity of the forensic evidence
15:11on which the ruling was based.
15:13They consider that the conditions in which the corpses were found
15:16weaken the reliability of these results.
15:18That is why the children's relatives
15:20will present an international lawsuit
15:22against Novoa's government.
15:28In Peru, the government has extended the state of emergency
15:31in four provinces of La Libertad and Tumbes region.
15:34The announcement was made by Minister's Council's president,
15:37Gustavo Adrián Sen, at the Communist First Session in 2025.
15:42Adrián Sen said that during the state of emergency,
15:44the police will be in charge of maintaining domestic order
15:47with the support of the army.
15:49The extension of the state of emergency aims
15:51at reducing criminal activity and weakening
15:53criminal organizations operating in the country
15:55and in response to an increase in crime reports
15:57in these areas of homicide, robberies, extortion
16:00and human and drug trafficking.
16:07In Uruguay, the Anti-Fascist International
16:09expressed its resounding rejection
16:11to Edmundo González Urrutia's visit
16:13and meeting with President Luis Lacalle Podesta
16:15on January 4th.
16:17In a statement, the Anti-Fascist International
16:19said that the former Venezuelan far-right
16:22candidate is a political operator
16:24at the service of the interests of U.S. imperialism.
16:26The organization added that Urrutia
16:28was part of the attempted electoral coup
16:30against President-elect Nicolás Maduro.
16:32The communiqué asserted that Edmundo's visit
16:35has the objective of coordinating
16:37a destabilization campaign
16:39and the international questioning
16:41of the Venezuelan elections,
16:43its governmental system and its institutions.
16:45The communiqué concludes
16:47that the forthcoming government
16:49will not fall into coup operations
16:51nor interfere in the internal affairs
16:53of other nations and will strive
16:55for the respect of the right of nations
16:57to self-determination.
17:01In Argentina, at least 79%
17:03of the general port administration workers
17:05will be laid off following the dissolution
17:07of the port administration imposed
17:09by Javier Millet's administration.
17:11The Argentine presidency announced
17:13that the General Ports Administration
17:15will become the new National Ports
17:17and Navigation Agency,
17:19which will combine the functions
17:21of these minority-solved organizations.
17:23Likewise, the Millet government
17:25announced the sale of state assets
17:27and real estate.
17:29The government also assured
17:31that the measure responds to a plan
17:33to achieve lower costs in ports.
17:35Last week, the government announced
17:37a new extension of the 2023 budget
17:39despite criticism from Argentine society,
17:41which demands an updated budget
17:43that meets the reality
17:45of the country's needs.
17:51An Argentina state-owned airline
17:53made cuts in the workforce,
17:55domestic routes and removed
17:57in-flight snack services
17:59in view of the company's possible privatization.
18:01The agency detailed that the measures
18:03aim to reduce the airline's burden
18:05on the state and to attract private investment.
18:07However, the Workers' Union
18:09does not agree with these measures.
18:11The union opposes the measure
18:13after 13% of its workforce
18:15was cut,
18:17salaries were frozen
18:19and some of the benefits were cancelled.
18:21These actions are in response
18:23to Javier Millet's promises
18:25to privatize or close the airline
18:27if it does not become more competitive.
