00:00:00Manhood, brought to you in part by Solomon's Bespoke.
00:00:30My son was a gentle soul. He never do nobody nothing than a manhood.
00:00:36Welcome to yet another episode of Manhood.
00:00:39And today's topic is justice.
00:00:43Now, justice for you, justice for me, it's justice.
00:00:46That's what we're here to talk about.
00:00:47We talk about the levels of crime here in Trinidad and Tobago.
00:00:49But justice is another key aspect of that.
00:00:54So, we always like to say we're better as brothers.
00:00:57And again, saying that we are not speaking on behalf of all men,
00:01:03but we are speaking to all men and women, of course.
00:01:06And so, without further ado, let's get straight into it.
00:01:09You know, to my right, behavior change consultant,
00:01:12Johan Seiodike, not a psychiatrist, a behavior change consultant.
00:01:16Let's get that right.
00:01:17To his right, Anthony Lafleur.
00:01:21I know I had to say a government name first,
00:01:23and then we'll go into a squeezy ranking.
00:01:25So, squeezy.
00:01:27The man of the moment.
00:01:28Trinidad and Tobago.
00:01:29He said he's the man of the moment.
00:01:30The man of the moment.
00:01:31The song is today's topic, justice.
00:01:34Look, he doesn't know what you're meant to change my behavior already.
00:01:37Hey, wait, boy.
00:01:38This one has to change my behavior already.
00:01:41And to his right, one and only KG, music producer.
00:01:45Yeah, man.
00:01:45So, guys, let's get straight into it.
00:01:48Justice.
00:01:49Let's start off with you, KG.
00:01:51KG?
00:01:52I squeezy like KG.
00:01:53You see, this is, you know, I look at the man.
00:01:55Give him a name, some justice.
00:01:56I look at the man.
00:01:58I look at the man who's called MKG.
00:01:59Hey, yo, God.
00:02:01Squeezy.
00:02:02I really believe now he really don't know me.
00:02:06He's one of them.
00:02:07You know me?
00:02:08No, you don't know me.
00:02:09You don't know me.
00:02:10Squeezy.
00:02:11Rainy weather.
00:02:13Water man.
00:02:14Water man, he say.
00:02:15Oh, fuck.
00:02:15You see?
00:02:16You see?
00:02:17You're impressive here now.
00:02:19So, tell us a bit about the song, Justice.
00:02:21Justice.
00:02:22Wait on the other song.
00:02:24Let me explain the song.
00:02:25Tell me what is justice to you.
00:02:27Justice.
00:02:28I know what the dictionary means.
00:02:29Tell me what is justice to you.
00:02:32How are you playing this now?
00:02:34With words.
00:02:35With words?
00:02:35Justice to me is justice.
00:02:37Nah, nah.
00:02:38Yes.
00:02:38Justice can be justice.
00:02:39So, let me give you an example.
00:02:42Justice is the enforcement of what we think is morally right.
00:02:47I'll just give you an example, right?
00:02:49What we think is morally right or wrong, justice is the enforcement of that.
00:02:53I see.
00:02:53Everybody will believe the morally right when they get justice.
00:02:57Sometimes justice for you is not justice for me.
00:02:59Perfect.
00:03:00That is what I wanted to pull out of you.
00:03:02Perfect.
00:03:02There's one trying to train the behavior on TV.
00:03:05There's nothing that is.
00:03:06Right.
00:03:06You know, so, all right.
00:03:09Within my song, why I sang about it is, when I say justice, everybody believe that it's
00:03:16just the mother and son.
00:03:19The mother crying for justice for her son.
00:03:21Which is a fact.
00:03:22But then, if you listen to the song, they will hear her speaking about a lot of things
00:03:26with the son used to do in the community.
00:03:28Right.
00:03:28And now that he passed, the people in the community now believe in, right, we get justice
00:03:32now because this man, this oppressor, go on and leave with you.
00:03:35Right.
00:03:36We don't have to go through this again.
00:03:37So, on the two hands, she was justice because, you know what, they killed my son, a little
00:03:42wicked.
00:03:42And these people here now glad, you know what, we get justice now because all the time we
00:03:47trying to talk to you, for you to try and give us some kind of justice for this boy and
00:03:51he never did it.
00:03:52So, there is what, as you say, is what we believe is right, but sometimes a wrong thing
00:04:01could happen, man, it's justice for me anyway.
00:04:02So, when we say, let's use our terminology with mother and son.
00:04:05So, is it that when the son is killed, whether it be by the police or whether it be by a rival
00:04:14or by some other means, when they say justice, is it that she's now expecting that there's
00:04:20retribution?
00:04:21Is it that she's retaliation from, is that justice?
00:04:25Is that justice to the police that all of us, it's a wrongful killing?
00:04:29Yes, no.
00:04:30Every, every mother, right, does expect justice for their child when that, when something
00:04:38like that happens.
00:04:39Don't care how bad the person was, don't care how good the person is, everybody expects
00:04:43justice, and all the mothers, sisters, brothers, right, we tend to just forget all the bad
00:04:51they do now, and decide, you know what, we want justice now, right?
00:04:56So, that's why also, when I write, when I read so much written, it's like, now you're
00:05:01seeing where it's calmer, right?
00:05:04Now you're feeling how, how much other people feel, right?
00:05:09All the other people, he make, all the other parents and brothers and sisters, he make
00:05:13feel, the way you feel, and you're feeling it now.
00:05:17This is how the thing does, right?
00:05:19So, so Squeezy, as, as you're saying that, right, you're saying, even though, do something
00:05:24bad, people just forget what, what, what, the bad, right?
00:05:27Yeah.
00:05:28Why, why, why, why think this forget, and then after, Keiji, you're waiting, why you think
00:05:31in that moment, you just forget the bad?
00:05:33Yo, that is like, a mother's child, and when, when a child's dead, you, you ever see that
00:05:39happen?
00:05:40Mm-hmm.
00:05:40You ever witnessed that?
00:05:41Witness at the action?
00:05:42No, I witnessed it after.
00:05:43You ever witnessed that whole scenario?
00:05:44Right, right, when a person, a woman brings forth a child, you know, right, it has nothing
00:05:50better than a mother's love, you know, a mother knows how to love, you know, and when
00:05:54a mother, see, that child, look how old he is, he's old as a child, and that feeling,
00:06:02when it does get inside of them, because, as a sibling, you just feel it.
00:06:07Right.
00:06:07Right, so imagine how it amplifies in her, in her mom.
00:06:11Mm-hmm.
00:06:11So, at that point in time, when she feel that, it has nothing more she want than the people
00:06:16who do this.
00:06:18I want the people who do this.
00:06:20I want justice for this.
00:06:21This, this is wrong.
00:06:23Okay.
00:06:23And I say, she forget everything else that he did, or what people say he did.
00:06:28Mm-hmm.
00:06:28And, and his siblings do the same thing, everybody else do the same thing.
00:06:31But, but specifically, because I know in his son specifically, he speak about her mother's
00:06:35love.
00:06:35Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:06:36So, Keiji, tell me.
00:06:36Tell me why she forget all hours.
00:06:39Yeah, as you say, her mother's love, and as Keiji says, not just the mother, right?
00:06:42His friends, his family, his relationships.
00:06:46You might have a friend who in the gang life, or who doing criminal activities, but you can't
00:06:51be bad 365 days a year.
00:06:53So, you'll have times where we would have good experiences with, her mother might have
00:06:59great experiences with her son.
00:07:00So, she might remember the days when he was good, or the girlfriend might remember the
00:07:05days when he bring flowers for she, or the girlfriend might remember when he was there
00:07:08for him, when nobody was there for him.
00:07:10So, when this youth who was committed and all these crimes died, as much as we know that
00:07:15he was wrong for being the person that he was, we also know that he had a little bit
00:07:20of good in him too, you know?
00:07:21You know, so the pain will linger a little bit now, you know?
00:07:23So, we would want justice now.
00:07:25You know what I'm saying now?
00:07:26He don't have to have no good in him, when she's mother, that's she's child.
00:07:30He don't have to have no good in him, that's she's child.
00:07:32But you think it are people that have no good in them, squeezy?
00:07:35Oh, God.
00:07:35Just now, before you go there, see what you're saying there, even if he didn't have no good
00:07:41in him, her mother would still love, right?
00:07:43Yes.
00:07:43So, when we were thinking about this topic today, I did some research, right, on why,
00:07:48right?
00:07:48If it have any scientific, if it have any physiological reasons why, and it have something called,
00:07:55hear this with it, microchimerism, right?
00:07:59So, I'm going to say that again.
00:08:00It's actually, the full name is fetal microchimerism.
00:08:04So, fetal, fetal meaning fetus, a child, right?
00:08:08Micro meaning on a small scale.
00:08:11Now, a chimera, a chimera is when you cross the two DNA or something, right?
00:08:17So, what happens is during labor, especially in childbirth, some of the child's DNA is passed
00:08:25from the child through the placenta to the mother.
00:08:28So, the DNA of the child is actually now part of the mother, and research says it could
00:08:35last up to decades.
00:08:36Sometimes, it could last the entire life, right?
00:08:38And the DNA coming from a fetus is a stem cell, and if you're not a stem cell, a stem cell
00:08:44could take the form of any cell.
00:08:46So, when a mom get that, if she have any ailments, that's actually healed part of the mother.
00:08:52So, one of the most famous research when I was reading is, the mom had a little defect
00:08:58with her heart, and the DNA from the child actually came and repaired some of the heart.
00:09:03So, I put it that way now, because if, at a DNA level, fetal microchimerism,
00:09:09she said, she told me, I know, slap them out of that thing, thing, and she cried on them,
00:09:16she said, oh God, take that, and when them get bullied, and they lie down, she feel it
00:09:27like, oh God, she bullied, you know what?
00:09:28So, that means, literally, it's part of shame.
00:09:30Well, as you explained that, you know, I understand what you're saying, you know,
00:09:33why did us do that?
00:09:34So, I understand that.
00:09:35There's nothing, as Amanda said, there's nothing, but there's nothing more great than
00:09:40a mother's love.
00:09:41So, when we talk about a mother's love, right?
00:09:44A mother's love is a perfect example of what we also know as unconditional love.
00:09:50Yeah.
00:09:50Because even in a relationship, a man, a woman, woman, and woman, whatever, you know,
00:09:55the relationships are these days, there's, it's still condition, because people break
00:10:01up all the time, and you move on, you find other love, and sometimes, you know, the real
00:10:06love is your last love, right?
00:10:07The person you end up with at last.
00:10:11And so, unconditional love with a child, regardless of, you know, we always hear this,
00:10:16this word, he was a good boy.
00:10:18And as you said, he was a good boy, in your eyes, when he was with you.
00:10:22Because I don't, I don't believe, Johansi, people are inherently born bad or evil.
00:10:26Like what did you ask?
00:10:27It's learnt.
00:10:28It's learnt, it's societal, it's feral, it is, it is in your environment, it's how you
00:10:33survive, what you, what you've had to do.
00:10:36And we've spoken about that many a time in some of the songs, the Trinibad genre, you
00:10:41know, it is people talking about their reality.
00:10:43So, as much as people outside, that's not their reality, they're not going to understand
00:10:47because they're not going through that.
00:10:48So, people are singing about what they know and what they see.
00:10:51You could only do that.
00:10:52I can't talk about something that I've not experienced.
00:10:54And so, the unconditional love, regardless of what that boy or girl, man or woman has
00:11:02done, to them it's, yes, that has been committed.
00:11:05But the problem is the problem.
00:11:07The crime is the crime.
00:11:07But the individual to them, it's still their child.
00:11:13Came out their womb.
00:11:14And also to a father, we keep talking about a mother's love.
00:11:16A father, you have to go on to a father now.
00:11:18A father, most of the time, a father just gives you a tough love.
00:11:22A man getting locked up all the time, locked up all the time, locked up all the time.
00:11:24I thought I pointed down, the father would say, but you see that he cool himself there because
00:11:28he's spending money.
00:11:29The mother would still go behind the father, I can't believe him.
00:11:32You understand what I'm saying?
00:11:33Because, and that's true, but what I'm saying is, a woman once upon a time, she said, I
00:11:40thought I knew what love is.
00:11:42I knew what love was until I made my child.
00:11:46She said, I never loved nothing like my child.
00:11:49I thought I knew what love was.
00:11:50You understand what I'm saying?
00:11:51As I said, a father now, he will, he knows, he doesn't let a father, you know?
00:11:56He doesn't let a father, to see his son light on the road.
00:12:00But, you know, he goes.
00:12:01That is a father to a son, eh?
00:12:03Because a father and a daughter is a different relationship.
00:12:07A father will go the distance for your daughter, right?
00:12:10Yet still, still, still, that connection with a father and a daughter, it is not as at the
00:12:18level of a mother and she's son.
00:12:20Agreed.
00:12:21What do you think?
00:12:21What do you want?
00:12:22Michael, what?
00:12:23Fetal microchimerism.
00:12:24Fetal microchimerism.
00:12:25It do harder to the father.
00:12:27Think of a chimer?
00:12:29It do harder to the father.
00:12:30Right.
00:12:31Right?
00:12:31But a father will show you tough love.
00:12:33A father will show you love in a different way.
00:12:35When you think of your mother, say, sorry, son, you know, like you think with your parents.
00:12:41So, even if, even if the father is showing you tough love, the tough love still allows you
00:12:49to have discipline and to be shaped.
00:12:51Yes.
00:12:51So, is it that we're talking about in the absence of that said tough love, which is necessary,
00:12:57is where we now have part of the problem that exists now, that there's no father figure
00:13:04in most of these environments?
00:13:05To me, in this whole vibe, in this environment, part of the problem, the main problem is ignorance
00:13:11with parents who split.
00:13:13Ignorance behind the parents who split.
00:13:15Because here's what I was going on.
00:13:17Most of the time, people just want to spite one another when they split now.
00:13:21Mm-hmm.
00:13:22Right?
00:13:22And this is what has caused the children and them to go down that road.
00:13:25Mm-hmm.
00:13:26Right?
00:13:27I have a 15-year-old, right?
00:13:28No one.
00:13:29She and she mother, well, I ain't no good enough with them these days because I ain't
00:13:32see them in a while.
00:13:33I ain't been playing, I talking shit.
00:13:34Mm-hmm.
00:13:35You understand what I'm saying?
00:13:36But, and I witnessed that firsthand.
00:13:41She like to be wrong with me because she does, she own me by me.
00:13:44Right?
00:13:44She's got she mother little problems and things, whatnot, whatnot.
00:13:47And that because me and the mother, clearly, see I tie on that level now.
00:13:52Mm-hmm.
00:13:52It's always argument that, I just try to stay away from she, oh, but I can't take, I can't
00:13:56take shit like this one.
00:13:57I be on that kind of level where she, understand me?
00:14:01I as a, now I know as a father, because I have an 8-year-old son, I have a 9-year-old
00:14:05daughter and then my first daughter is 15, right?
00:14:08And I know as a father, hey, this is the wrong thing you're doing.
00:14:12But, but you see not to just, you know, like how Bart Simpson's father's hole him and
00:14:17choke him, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's, not to hold somebody and, yeah, yeah, and shake
00:14:21them, yeah, yeah, that's, you know.
00:14:23And this going on, I, I seen this going on a lot in society here today, right?
00:14:29Sometimes, that's how sometimes too, if a child get in trouble, you are the father.
00:14:36Now you say, yeah, yeah, yeah, you, you, the father, the churn, yeah, the churn, but
00:14:39you and the mother have a relationship.
00:14:41But you could call the mother and say, this boy get in trouble, I can't handle this.
00:14:44I don't know how you could deal with it.
00:14:45When she could come, the mother, all right, bring him, thing.
00:14:47And vice versa, that plenty, because plenty of women are in court, if I can't, I'm sure
00:14:51I'm dead, I ain't getting no money, money, money, money, money, all that, there'll be
00:14:56whole thing with it now, right?
00:14:58And all this is part of the problem in society, in society here today now.
00:15:02They, my, they, my opinion, eh?
00:15:04Right.
00:15:04Right, because it's free, I'd have to pay for it, so I have my opinion.
00:15:07Right?
00:15:07If I doesn't pay for it, I might get tax on, then I wouldn't, ah, ah, right?
00:15:11By your version.
00:15:13Yeah, they, my opinion, eh?
00:15:14There were eyes, they be seeing, going on in society today.
00:15:17Right?
00:15:18Plenty of the youth on them on the corner and thing.
00:15:21You just see them late in the night outside, you see some of them, 14, 15, them outside
00:15:25late, thing.
00:15:27What are the parents at?
00:15:28Where the parents at?
00:15:30Popping, pay, drinking, punching.
00:15:32Where the parents at?
00:15:34Right?
00:15:34Some of the parents on them too, they just, f***ing lack of their sickle out here.
00:15:39Rare parents.
00:15:39So, I don't always say, what's going on in society, today is regeneration fault.
00:15:45Of course.
00:15:46How old are you?
00:15:46Huh?
00:15:47How old are you?
00:15:47How old are I look like?
00:15:49Nah, don't answer a question with a question.
00:15:51How old are you?
00:15:52I'm not scared.
00:15:53Huh?
00:15:53How old are you?
00:15:54I'm 47.
00:15:55Okay, so, yeah, millennial, right?
00:15:58So, that's a we fault.
00:15:58Okay.
00:15:59Is that what?
00:15:59A millennial.
00:16:00Well, I don't know what that's called, millennial, gen X and gen Z.
00:16:02I don't know what that's called.
00:16:03Okay, I just want you to see, when you say, it's your fault.
00:16:06No, it's we fault.
00:16:07Here, why is we fault?
00:16:07Here, why is we fault?
00:16:08But, we grew up a particular way.
00:16:12Certain and the moral values and what and what not.
00:16:14Now, we used to have chores and things before we go to school sometimes.
00:16:18Don't care how poor it is.
00:16:19Don't care how, you had that, they used to instill them values in here.
00:16:23Morning, evening.
00:16:25You used to see these things going on.
00:16:26Don't care how poor it is, eh?
00:16:28Right?
00:16:30Now, we grew up and we say, you know what?
00:16:34I took water in a bucket to fill a barrel.
00:16:36My child is not to do that.
00:16:38So, I go in and get a nice house.
00:16:42So, he get up on the morning, she get up on the morning, put on the shower hot and cold,
00:16:45what not, what not, thing.
00:16:47Thing, flush toilet, right, thing.
00:16:49I look at the school, the bed, go make up.
00:16:51I'm going to give my child everything that I didn't have.
00:16:54I never, right, right.
00:16:56But, you give them everything you didn't have.
00:16:59Except the house.
00:16:59But, you didn't give them what you had.
00:17:01Respect and manners where you grew up with.
00:17:03You didn't give them that.
00:17:04You understand me?
00:17:05You say, no, you're not going to have a maxi.
00:17:06Because all the fellas must travel and things.
00:17:08But, I travel every day.
00:17:09I just travel.
00:17:10I say, no, you're not going to have a maxi.
00:17:11I say, no, you're not going to have a taxi.
00:17:12I try.
00:17:12I don't like that.
00:17:13But, what I'm saying is, you say, no, you're not going to have a maxi.
00:17:17You're seeing these little trains coming in.
00:17:18They're not saying morning.
00:17:19They're not saying evening.
00:17:20True.
00:17:21Right?
00:17:21I didn't say that to my trainer.
00:17:23Anytime my trainer, I go in a maxi, whatever.
00:17:26Morning, evening.
00:17:27The last time I go in a maxi, my son say, good day, everybody.
00:17:31Nobody didn't answer.
00:17:32So, everybody said, well, you're right, daddy.
00:17:33But, these people are disrespectful.
00:17:35These people don't have respect at all.
00:17:37I say, forget them.
00:17:38You do your part.
00:17:39Right?
00:17:40We're reaching our stage now with people.
00:17:42We're people in their 20s and things like that, you know.
00:17:45Morning and evening, man, I say, that courtesy.
00:17:47If I don't feel courty, I say, tell you that, I'm not telling you that.
00:17:49Come to f***, man.
00:17:50Which is really good, man.
00:17:51You know what I'm saying?
00:17:52So, on that one, I want to thank you for your contribution.
00:17:56But, we need to take a break.
00:17:57But, before we go to the break, as we say, morning, afternoon, evening.
00:18:02One thing is our pet peeve.
00:18:03That is a time of day.
00:18:05That's not part of manners.
00:18:06That's not courtesy.
00:18:07Right?
00:18:08Wishing me a good morning.
00:18:10Wishing me a good afternoon.
00:18:11And, not morning.
00:18:13Morning, morning.
00:18:14Like, if you're looking, if you're, if, I rather you don't tell me anything.
00:18:18If you're wishing me something, wish me a good morning, a good afternoon, a good evening.
00:18:22And, if you are wrong, a good night.
00:18:24So, with that one, we take a break.
00:18:26And, we'll see you in a bit.
00:18:26Yeah, man.
00:18:38Welcome back to manhood.
00:18:40So, Squeezy, first and foremost, I just want to let you know that I'm proud of you.
00:18:44You know, I'm proud of you.
00:18:46I mean, I know Squeezy from a long time.
00:18:48You know, as a youth coming up in the industry.
00:18:51Squeezy is a legend to us.
00:18:54You know, to the dance, soul, fraternity, to the youth.
00:18:56You know, as you know, as you know, as you know, as you know, as you know, as you know.
00:18:58But, you know your music.
00:18:59You know Rainy Weather.
00:19:00You say, you know Rainy Weather.
00:19:00I know Rainy Weather.
00:19:01I know Waterman.
00:19:02But, Squeezy is really a East Side legend.
00:19:05Squeezy is really one of weeners.
00:19:07You know, Squeezy from Locket.
00:19:08I'm from Arima.
00:19:09So, we grew up looking up to Isasha, Million Voice.
00:19:12The whole Locket, our fraternity.
00:19:13And, Squeezy was from that same community.
00:19:16So, Squeezy was always a legend in my book, for sure.
00:19:19Right?
00:19:20And, we actually.
00:19:21Yeah, yeah, of course.
00:19:22And, I tell him that.
00:19:22Any names he called?
00:19:23Yeah, I tell him that on my.
00:19:24Your names he called?
00:19:26Isasha, Million Voice.
00:19:27Yeah, yeah, yeah, boy.
00:19:28And, I tell you that on my podcast.
00:19:30I say, Squeezy, he is a legend.
00:19:31Squeezy, he actually tell me he's not a legend.
00:19:33He don't believe that.
00:19:34He don't believe he ever bust before.
00:19:36All the kind of thing he tell me.
00:19:37Try to don't play it.
00:19:39Tell him that time.
00:19:39Bosses went in here.
00:19:40Brother, you bust.
00:19:41Tell him that.
00:19:42Well, now you bust.
00:19:43Where's the bust?
00:19:43Now you bust.
00:19:44You bust out.
00:19:45Bust out.
00:19:46But, I just want to let you know, bro.
00:19:48I'm proud of you.
00:19:49As we were saying off camera.
00:19:51We just see the negativity come into play.
00:19:54And, all these things come into play.
00:19:55When, great men, who have a voice, don't do anything.
00:19:58For real.
00:19:58So, when I see that Squeezy ranking.
00:20:00A man who had that influence in the dance, all fraternity.
00:20:03You know the kind of music you sing.
00:20:05You know, we listen to rainy weather.
00:20:06And, it's all kind of different.
00:20:07If you could have talked.
00:20:08If you could have talked and that kind of thing.
00:20:10And, then you come with this positive song at the right time.
00:20:14You see, all they keep telling me about positive songs.
00:20:15I've been singing positive songs.
00:20:17I've been writing positive songs.
00:20:18But, you know where that's going.
00:20:20It just flies over everybody's head.
00:20:22But, this one was perfectly crafted.
00:20:24Because, I sing it at the calypso, you see.
00:20:25Perfectly.
00:20:26In carnival time.
00:20:28You bust.
00:20:28And, they didn't bust in a negative way.
00:20:31The video was proper.
00:20:32Everything was proper, Squeezy.
00:20:34Everything.
00:20:34That was it.
00:20:34I had to tell you.
00:20:35I'm proud of you.
00:20:36I'm proud of you.
00:20:36Yeah, I'm proud of you.
00:20:38You make the right thing.
00:20:39I'm proud of you.
00:20:40I'm proud of you.
00:20:41So, Squeezy, what was that inspiration?
00:20:54What made me really decide to write that song?
00:20:58What made me decide to write this song?
00:20:59At this time too?
00:21:00At this time.
00:21:02A challenge.
00:21:03Somebody challenged me to do that.
00:21:06Somebody challenged me to write.
00:21:07But, you see, Darten has always write them kind of songs, right?
00:21:13And, the woman who I with right now, she let me know.
00:21:15Hey.
00:21:17Well, I end up winning the arm.
00:21:21Ex-tempo.
00:21:21Not the ex-tempo.
00:21:22But, ex-tempo now.
00:21:23On the ex-tempo now, you have to have a new thing called the freestyle.
00:21:27A new category called the freestyle combination.
00:21:29So, I went and I win that.
00:21:31She was telling me, boy, you win the freestyle.
00:21:33And, we was watching.
00:21:34What is this thing named, boy?
00:21:35Skinner Park now.
00:21:38She said, we win the freestyle.
00:21:40Why do you try this?
00:21:42Yes, yes, now everybody tell me to try that.
00:21:45Father, but this is father.
00:21:46So, rest in peace.
00:21:47Always tell me, why you write that Calypso?
00:21:50My sister, my partner.
00:21:51People used to tell me, well, because always, I tell her, I always sing about social issues.
00:21:58I just never used to publish them.
00:21:59Right.
00:22:00Right?
00:22:00I always sing.
00:22:01So, I go sing.
00:22:02So, you my virgin, I go sing it for you.
00:22:03By that bad, basically.
00:22:04So, I ain't like all that.
00:22:06Nah, they want them people, they want to hear that.
00:22:08Because, you know, it's a thing they like to hear.
00:22:10You know, that kind of.
00:22:10So, I sing the thing.
00:22:12You know what I'm saying?
00:22:14But, what I'm saying is, I decide I'm going to disroll to this song.
00:22:18Because, this song that I have to release was a song called Talk The Truth.
00:22:22Right?
00:22:22And, a partner of mine and the producer said, nah, we ain't going with that one.
00:22:28We ain't going with Talk The Truth.
00:22:30Miguel, all of them tell me, nah, don't go talk the truth.
00:22:32Talk the truth.
00:22:34Too true?
00:22:35Not just too true, you know.
00:22:37You see, they don't want it to be, people say it politically affiliated now.
00:22:41Okay.
00:22:42Right?
00:22:42So, don't sing Talk The Truth now, I think.
00:22:46Go with this one here.
00:22:47Now, this one here was written because of the vibe and energy.
00:22:50I had a song I did before called, Call Our Mother's Cry.
00:22:53And, my partner tell me, why you ain't do that song?
00:22:55I said, nah, this song sings from my perspective when I was younger now.
00:22:58When I was younger.
00:22:59And, I talking about something that happened.
00:23:02At that point in time.
00:23:02I said, I will do something like this.
00:23:04Right?
00:23:05And, I said, I'm going to study it.
00:23:06And, I said, you know what?
00:23:07Things are going on here.
00:23:08I went to TikTok and I hear a youth man.
00:23:11And, you know, them TikTok stars and them, one of them, we don't know the name,
00:23:16saying bye, this woman, and she was just a switchie child and I said, this song here.
00:23:20Because, this going on too regular in this place here.
00:23:23This going on too regular.
00:23:25Right?
00:23:25And, the whole vibe of the home invasion, the extortion, all these kind of things,
00:23:31where no artist didn't want to address.
00:23:33Because, it's f***ing sickening.
00:23:35It's real sickening right now.
00:23:36And, even though, back then, a gang center community used to defend the community.
00:23:44Now, these fellas are offending the community.
00:23:46Right?
00:23:47And, that is not it.
00:23:48So, I said, you know what?
00:23:49I'm going to take off this man.
00:23:50Tell you, who vex, vex.
00:23:52Who, who glad, glad.
00:23:55I wasn't expecting the reaction.
00:23:56It has a part in this song that I particularly like, that I highlight, about, um, the people
00:24:03who was, who's robbed the old age people of the pension.
00:24:06Yeah, tax.
00:24:07Tax.
00:24:08That is madness to me.
00:24:09Come on.
00:24:10But, it's like, the tambourine ball lady down the road.
00:24:12She had to pay something when he, man.
00:24:14You see, everybody, all them sit at the shutters.
00:24:16Yeah, all them shop, all them green things.
00:24:18Everybody had to give me something when he, man, come.
00:24:20So, I can live comfortably.
00:24:22Come on, there was shorter you could be taken, the tambourine ball lady, man.
00:24:24I was trying to tell you, my brother.
00:24:26A man said he calved the road up, so he had to, well, I had to sell a car, send something.
00:24:30He had to send down something, thing.
00:24:32Them thing is, them thing is, that is not the work of a man who defended the community.
00:24:36That is not the work of a man.
00:24:37It is that even the work of a man.
00:24:40Right?
00:24:41I remember, I remember, I remember the show that we did, and he's talking about things that
00:24:46we just have to face in these communities.
00:24:49He's talking about, I was talking about bullying.
00:24:51He's talking about certain schools that would go to, the kind of bullying you might have
00:24:55to go through, even in the community.
00:24:56I might come outside with a chain, and a man might want to take that from me.
00:25:00So, that force people to be a certain way now, because they're living in a community
00:25:04where you're squeezing, say, you're trying to sell a tambourine ball, and a man trying
00:25:07to tax you.
00:25:08It's not everybody willing to take that, you know.
00:25:10You know, so some people would seek vengeance just by living in that community now.
00:25:16So, you know.
00:25:16I want to talk a bit about that, because as you mentioned, you know, and you refer to
00:25:23a couple things about, you know, that's not a man.
00:25:28You know, as you, and you coined it very well, that might be a whole thing.
00:25:31Right?
00:25:32And we spoke about this on another episode, where back in the day, you might have had
00:25:38what the Robin Hood phenomena or scenario.
00:25:41So, if you're taking, if you're taxing this one, you're taxing that one, that's part of,
00:25:45you might say that's part of security.
00:25:47That's part of, you know, you're paying something for being in this community, but then you're
00:25:50giving back somehow.
00:25:52But what you're doing is you're buying, you're buying something for yourself.
00:25:54You're not, you're no longer taking care of your community.
00:25:58You're like, you're quite right.
00:25:59I like it.
00:26:00You say you're offending, as opposed to defending the particular community.
00:26:05So, when you come now and you say, like I said, the Tamarind Wall, these people normally,
00:26:09when I speak to, when I drive through certain areas, and I see people set up shop, you know,
00:26:15I might stop and buy a pie, the other day, for the first time, I had, you know, and it was
00:26:20quite delicious, but before I had never even thought about it, breastbone, you know,
00:26:24I had some, I had some breastbone out there, you know, it's breastbone out there, yeah.
00:26:30But no, I'm admitting it, but it was, it was nice.
00:26:34And when I talk into them, they would say,
00:26:35First time you're breastbone, why is it nice?
00:26:37Nah, don't dwell on that.
00:26:38Don't dwell on that, right?
00:26:39Right, you know, but I, so, but, but, but, but speaking to them,
00:26:44they would say they no longer feel safe.
00:26:47They're from those environments.
00:26:48And they would say, listen, nobody in touch in me in these areas.
00:26:51Now they don't have that, they no longer have that, that safety net, that, that, that feeling.
00:26:57So I want to, I want us to really delve into that, but I also want, want to ask you,
00:27:03what, where Cage, you just left off with regards to your reaction to the reaction of the nation,
00:27:10with regards to your song.
00:27:11To this, boy, I, you know, go on.
00:27:14I got to tell you, because I'm singing.
00:27:16Some people like it, some people doesn't like it.
00:27:19I just get back to you plenty, with why they sing.
00:27:22Right?
00:27:22They say, well, they used to say, I'm very disrespectful out of time and all them kind of things.
00:27:26Now they can't say that no more, because the kind of people that are now,
00:27:29and they're disrespectful to the artists that are now, who they be.
00:27:32And you know what, they embrace them.
00:27:34Ah, they like the disrespectfulness, they love that.
00:27:37Although I always knew that, I know that time was coming, but this year now,
00:27:41where the old granny on the ground, the man in the church, everybody embrace,
00:27:47it's overwhelming.
00:27:49It's a different kind of feeling.
00:27:50It's something that I didn't expect.
00:27:51For me, then.
00:27:54Remember, I squeeze your hand, you know?
00:27:57I know who you are.
00:27:59Nah, you don't know squeeze your hand, you know?
00:28:02I squeeze your hand, you know?
00:28:03As you want to go on stage and tell people,
00:28:05tell people, smoke the mother****.
00:28:08That's the kind of thing I just do, you know?
00:28:09So, now, I never used to do children's shows and things.
00:28:17They were going to ask me, come and sing in school.
00:28:19No, I don't do bouncy castle shows.
00:28:21I don't even know that.
00:28:22Right?
00:28:23Don't call me for no bouncy castle show.
00:28:25So, now, when I do this song now,
00:28:26I did this song, and the speed,
00:28:29and the way how I see everybody embrace it,
00:28:32it was well overwhelming.
00:28:34It's still overwhelming.
00:28:35And I'm glad to see that children out of Tobago
00:28:38take to this song in this kind of manner.
00:28:41And it shows also that, eh,
00:28:43we want to stand up, but, again,
00:28:46manhood is the name of anything,
00:28:48but it ain't really got too much man again, you know?
00:28:50Right?
00:28:51It ain't really got too much man again.
00:28:52Come man for it.
00:28:52Everybody is still not lying.
00:28:53What is a man to you?
00:28:55Huh?
00:28:55What is a man to you?
00:28:56What defines a man?
00:28:56Somebody who stands for something proper.
00:28:58They are a man.
00:29:00Right?
00:29:01Correct.
00:29:01Somebody who stands for something proper.
00:29:03This rungs everybody touchy.
00:29:04Everybody, I want to say,
00:29:06this rungs everybody touchy, touchy.
00:29:08Everybody like girl.
00:29:09They're dressing like girl there.
00:29:10They're glasses like girl there.
00:29:13Nah, okay, talking about me.
00:29:14Nah, man, nah, man, you had it.
00:29:15No, no, no, no, no, no.
00:29:17Everybody like girl.
00:29:18No, I mean no disrespect to,
00:29:21but everybody, so,
00:29:22you, you know,
00:29:23you're supposed to be a man.
00:29:24I make a joke with you.
00:29:26Come on, a joke is a joke.
00:29:27But now everybody,
00:29:28think, think.
00:29:29You want to go on social media.
00:29:30Hey, you think, hey.
00:29:31All them kind of
00:29:32**** TV,
00:29:34I'll be putting up it right through now
00:29:35as man.
00:29:37Done.
00:29:38Somebody say something about you,
00:29:39and it's fine.
00:29:40Now, if it go,
00:29:41if somebody say something that will
00:29:43hinder your
00:29:44job,
00:29:47or your
00:29:47defamation,
00:29:48your character,
00:29:49your character,
00:29:51all these things,
00:29:52then,
00:29:53you're all right,
00:29:53but sometimes somebody say something
00:29:54and it's talking up in a ****,
00:29:56you're the leader.
00:29:57Man, hey,
00:29:58think,
00:29:58everybody on views and likes.
00:30:00I'm like,
00:30:00think,
00:30:01views,
00:30:01likes,
00:30:02think.
00:30:03You see,
00:30:03Squeezy,
00:30:03what you're saying there,
00:30:04it ties back to something
00:30:05you were saying before.
00:30:06You're saying that
00:30:07before a man,
00:30:09a father,
00:30:10would have pulled up a child.
00:30:11Yes.
00:30:12But no one,
00:30:13because I seen it too,
00:30:14you know,
00:30:14even households where it have
00:30:15a two-parent household,
00:30:16it have many men who are afraid
00:30:18to tell the children things.
00:30:20Right?
00:30:20They would allow the children
00:30:21to just do whatever,
00:30:23whatever the child wants,
00:30:24male or female.
00:30:25Right?
00:30:25And then,
00:30:26kind of,
00:30:26shoo,
00:30:27shoo,
00:30:27shoo,
00:30:28shoo about it.
00:30:29No, no,
00:30:29what I'm saying,
00:30:30everyone is afraid
00:30:31to tell a student anything
00:30:32because the student themselves
00:30:34might retaliate,
00:30:35but the parents,
00:30:36if you tell a child,
00:30:36the parents coming in,
00:30:38the school.
00:30:38I got to know,
00:30:39what is that time?
00:30:39My sister called me,
00:30:40she said,
00:30:40I was here,
00:30:42she can't go in school
00:30:43for she son.
00:30:45She father can't go
00:30:46because I'm working
00:30:46or nothing or what not.
00:30:48So she called me.
00:30:50She said,
00:30:50I'm thinking,
00:30:51if you could go
00:30:51and check it out
00:30:52for me as your uncle,
00:30:53so I go on.
00:30:55When I reach in the school now,
00:30:56the first thing,
00:30:57my mother,
00:30:57the principal,
00:30:58not the principal,
00:30:59I mean,
00:30:59the vice-principal,
00:31:00they asking me,
00:31:01how much you pay you?
00:31:03I said,
00:31:03how much you pay me?
00:31:04How much them pay me
00:31:05to come and pose as an uncle?
00:31:07I said,
00:31:08I said,
00:31:09sir,
00:31:09you're good on,
00:31:10you trying to get my mouth
00:31:12off instead of this mother?
00:31:13I took out my idea,
00:31:13I showed him,
00:31:14I said,
00:31:14check him out her last name
00:31:15and check my last name,
00:31:18right?
00:31:19Then he started talking.
00:31:21He told him,
00:31:22well,
00:31:22I think my nephew
00:31:23was going to school
00:31:24with sneakers,
00:31:24he's not supposed
00:31:25to go to school.
00:31:26And he told him
00:31:27about it once,
00:31:27twice,
00:31:28but my nephew
00:31:28was a little footballer
00:31:29in the school,
00:31:30so you know,
00:31:30them youthmeners.
00:31:30I said,
00:31:33sir,
00:31:34this is what you want
00:31:35my sister
00:31:36to come to school for?
00:31:38Well,
00:31:39yes,
00:31:39you know,
00:31:39I said,
00:31:40all the teachers
00:31:41know something wrong
00:31:42with all of them.
00:31:42You're supposed to have
00:31:43about 10,
00:31:4410 of bum spill
00:31:45in up there
00:31:45and just spray it,
00:31:48right?
00:31:49Spray it.
00:31:50When your mother
00:31:50comes,
00:31:51show your mother
00:31:51the school rules
00:31:52and let you know,
00:31:52hey,
00:31:53this is what
00:31:53all he signed for.
00:31:54He's not supposed
00:31:55to wear this in school,
00:31:56you didn't send a letter
00:31:57stating that he wearing this
00:31:58because he shoes
00:32:00thing or nothing,
00:32:01so why come to school
00:32:02with this?
00:32:03And you know what
00:32:03they bet?
00:32:04None of them
00:32:04children of them
00:32:05ain't go to school
00:32:06with no things to do,
00:32:07but instead of that
00:32:08plenty of parents
00:32:08I want to go and cuss.
00:32:10No,
00:32:10but I like,
00:32:11I like where you're
00:32:12going with that
00:32:12because when you
00:32:13started off saying it
00:32:15and you said,
00:32:15that's what you call,
00:32:16that's what you wanted
00:32:17the mother to come
00:32:18to school for,
00:32:18I thought you were
00:32:19going down the road
00:32:20of,
00:32:21it's petty,
00:32:22right?
00:32:23And where I was going
00:32:25with,
00:32:25the reason why I started
00:32:26to get a bit antsy
00:32:27or about that
00:32:29is because
00:32:30if we,
00:32:31if what message
00:32:32would we send
00:32:33to the child
00:32:33at that point
00:32:34if we say
00:32:34they could get away
00:32:35with that
00:32:36because when they
00:32:37could get away
00:32:37with that
00:32:38then they try
00:32:38something else
00:32:39and they try
00:32:39something else
00:32:39but I like,
00:32:40I like that you
00:32:41went down the road
00:32:42of no,
00:32:43I give you a warning,
00:32:44go back to the things,
00:32:46spray it.
00:32:46Now I don't know
00:32:47how old the children is,
00:32:48I don't know.
00:32:48No,
00:32:49but I agree to you
00:32:49because when I'm in school
00:32:51I'm the oldest person
00:32:53on the set.
00:32:54Alright,
00:32:54now I say it,
00:32:55I don't know
00:32:55how old everybody,
00:32:56but I had children
00:32:57going to school still,
00:32:58right?
00:32:58They're going to school.
00:33:00So I now
00:33:01dealing with this,
00:33:03my little son,
00:33:04he liked to fight.
00:33:06He liked to fight.
00:33:08He liked to,
00:33:09so I let him know,
00:33:09hey,
00:33:10you don't hate the girls,
00:33:11don't hate the ladies,
00:33:13right?
00:33:13Go and tell.
00:33:14And the boys,
00:33:15I say,
00:33:15I say,
00:33:15hey,
00:33:16what's going on?
00:33:16I go to the school,
00:33:17the teacher
00:33:18on a long page,
00:33:19a whole page
00:33:20where he complains
00:33:21on my son.
00:33:22Now he's doing work.
00:33:24Most of the complaints
00:33:24he differing himself,
00:33:26right?
00:33:27At the time,
00:33:28about,
00:33:29he had five boys
00:33:30going,
00:33:31the gangbang him.
00:33:33That's what you tell me.
00:33:33That is the gangbang,
00:33:34I can fight them.
00:33:35Before,
00:33:35it's two out of five,
00:33:36but there's five of them.
00:33:38I go into school,
00:33:39I tell the teacher,
00:33:40no,
00:33:40I don't go into school,
00:33:41no,
00:33:41as much as people
00:33:43see me out there,
00:33:44I don't go into school
00:33:45like that,
00:33:45I don't go into school
00:33:46because I understand
00:33:47I was small,
00:33:48right?
00:33:49And I understand
00:33:50as a person,
00:33:51as a man,
00:33:52I was small
00:33:52and I made mistakes,
00:33:54right?
00:33:54So it's a mistake
00:33:55that children have to make.
00:33:57We as human beings,
00:33:58as adults,
00:33:59we don't prepare ourselves
00:34:00for the mistakes
00:34:01the children are going to make.
00:34:02We just tell our childhood
00:34:03never,
00:34:04all right,
00:34:04our childhood thing,
00:34:06you might see fire,
00:34:07you touch it,
00:34:08you're supposed to know better
00:34:08how the a**
00:34:09he or she will know better
00:34:10if they never touch it before,
00:34:12right?
00:34:12We believe children
00:34:13are supposed to know better
00:34:14if they experience something,
00:34:16we experience it already
00:34:17so we know better.
00:34:18If they don't experience something,
00:34:20how they're going to know better?
00:34:21And this is the mindset we have.
00:34:22Anyhow,
00:34:23when I go in school now
00:34:24as a parent,
00:34:26five children,
00:34:27two parents come.
00:34:28The next three parents
00:34:29then never come.
00:34:31One keep the child home
00:34:32for the week.
00:34:32Them kind of shepherds
00:34:33be going on
00:34:34because them busy,
00:34:35them so,
00:34:36you so busy,
00:34:37you can't come in school
00:34:37for your child.
00:34:39What you're saying there,
00:34:40you see,
00:34:40all the elements
00:34:41you're pulling together
00:34:42is systematic
00:34:43in terms of
00:34:44what we call crime,
00:34:45what we call bad behavior,
00:34:47what even,
00:34:48what you're saying there
00:34:49because the same mother,
00:34:50I'm using your song,
00:34:51the same mother,
00:34:52no,
00:34:53might not even go in school
00:34:54for she child.
00:34:55No!
00:34:55Right?
00:34:55But then when something happened,
00:34:57he was a good boy.
00:34:58In the song they said,
00:34:59you never use a show no concern
00:35:01when they tell you the boy
00:35:02out of control.
00:35:04Right?
00:35:05That's in the song.
00:35:06Correct.
00:35:07So we're talking the truth here
00:35:09on manhood
00:35:09and the topic is justice
00:35:11and we have to go to a break,
00:35:12but going to the break,
00:35:13Squeeze,
00:35:14I'm going to put you
00:35:14on the spot here.
00:35:15I want you to take us,
00:35:16looking at that camera there,
00:35:18take us with a verse
00:35:20from the song
00:35:21into the break.
00:35:25Oh God,
00:35:26that's all right.
00:35:27Spit,
00:35:27my son was a good boy.
00:35:37The words of a mother
00:35:39As he's laying down on the asphalt
00:35:43Bleeding out on the corner
00:35:44She's calling on Jesus' name
00:35:48Asking why did they kill him
00:35:50My son was a gentle soul
00:35:53He never do nobody nothing
00:35:55Then a man shout,
00:35:56Woman
00:35:56Your son went on a banging
00:35:58In a stolen vehicle
00:36:01Why you feel the next team
00:36:03Swing back
00:36:03The boy killed three people
00:36:06Speeding off at the scene
00:36:08He went on
00:36:09A little girl get bounced down
00:36:11Yet still she's saying
00:36:12Heads have to roll
00:36:13For the ones who take
00:36:14She's son's soul
00:36:15Mama good,
00:36:16good son
00:36:17Just get gone down
00:36:19Mama good,
00:36:22good son
00:36:23Now get gone down
00:36:25I know she's crying out
00:36:27For justice
00:36:28Welcome back to Manhood.
00:36:36Today we're discussing
00:36:38justice.
00:36:39On my right we have
00:36:40Squeezy Rankin,
00:36:42KG and we have Robert.
00:36:44So, coming back from the break
00:36:46We were talking about
00:36:47Exactly the inspiration behind
00:36:49And we were putting together
00:36:50Some elements that may
00:36:52Tell us the story of even why
00:36:54The state of the country
00:36:56We are today
00:36:57In terms of the crime
00:36:59And we highlight
00:36:59In terms of the parenting
00:37:01And we know
00:37:02Sometimes people blame the child
00:37:04But of course
00:37:06The child grew up under the parents
00:37:07So therefore the parents
00:37:09Have at least until he's 18
00:37:11Right?
00:37:11After 18 you can start
00:37:12To make your own decisions
00:37:13But before that
00:37:14It's based on a parent
00:37:15And we understand too
00:37:18Even though
00:37:18Nobody perfect
00:37:20And they have good things
00:37:21People will do
00:37:22If a child
00:37:23Or somebody doing something bad
00:37:25Other people will experience
00:37:27Those bad things
00:37:28They might not experience
00:37:29The good things
00:37:30So the people on the outside
00:37:31Would ask for the justice
00:37:33The people on the inside
00:37:34Would know some of the good things
00:37:35And they want justice also
00:37:37Justice for you
00:37:38Is the front for justice for me
00:37:40Right
00:37:40And those people
00:37:41You know
00:37:41It's very
00:37:42And I want to remind people
00:37:44About fetal microchimerism
00:37:46Yeah fetal
00:37:47You know my own
00:37:48Yes I
00:37:49Fetal microchimerism
00:37:50You know some deep diving on
00:37:55But you know
00:37:56As we talk about justice for you
00:37:58And justice for me
00:37:59It always reminds me of an analogy
00:38:01I heard once
00:38:02With 9-11
00:38:03In New York
00:38:05You know of course
00:38:06With the Taliban etc
00:38:09You know
00:38:09And Bin Laden
00:38:10And they referred to
00:38:12To the western world
00:38:14To the most of the world
00:38:15That was terrorism
00:38:17But where they left
00:38:19And where they came from
00:38:20Their families
00:38:21That's martyrdom
00:38:22And it's always
00:38:23The difference in dynamics
00:38:25As to who is seeing what
00:38:26You know
00:38:27The outlook
00:38:28So as you mentioned
00:38:29Squeezy
00:38:30To the mother
00:38:30Whether it be
00:38:32We use words
00:38:33You know
00:38:34As it comes from
00:38:36Fetal microchimerism
00:38:38Whether it comes from there
00:38:39Whether it comes from
00:38:40Unconditional love
00:38:42Whether it comes from
00:38:43The fact that
00:38:43What they have experienced
00:38:44Whether it be the mother
00:38:45The family
00:38:46Being a good boy
00:38:48In terms of good to them
00:38:49And they have not seen that side
00:38:51Because I don't believe
00:38:52People are entirely
00:38:53Bad or evil
00:38:54Or born in that particular way
00:38:56And so
00:38:57The justice for them
00:38:59Is that when something happens
00:39:01How could that happen
00:39:02And I want justice
00:39:04But to the person
00:39:05As you mentioned
00:39:06The experience
00:39:06Maybe they have killed
00:39:08Several persons
00:39:09The pain that those
00:39:10Other mothers
00:39:11And those other families
00:39:12Those children
00:39:13Who now don't have a father
00:39:14To be able to give them
00:39:15Tough love
00:39:16They're also now
00:39:17Crying out for justice
00:39:18Or now have justice
00:39:19Then the next thing too
00:39:20Remember
00:39:21Back in the day
00:39:22Right
00:39:22When the father
00:39:24Not wrong
00:39:25It still had an uncle
00:39:26It still had
00:39:27Nowadays people
00:39:28Alienate the self
00:39:30From the family
00:39:30I don't know
00:39:31Dealers with nobody
00:39:32Alienate the self
00:39:33From everybody
00:39:34So now
00:39:34It has nobody
00:39:35Around to really
00:39:36To really help out
00:39:38In a situation like that
00:39:39Now
00:39:40Right
00:39:40I remember the time
00:39:41My nephew was
00:39:42Getting in real trouble
00:39:43And thing
00:39:43And my brother-in-law
00:39:45Was telling me
00:39:46Boy if that was my nephew
00:39:47I deal with
00:39:48Thing
00:39:48Thing
00:39:48With that
00:39:49So I had to go
00:39:50And deal with him
00:39:51Now
00:39:52You know
00:39:52When he was younger
00:39:53And things
00:39:53He said
00:39:53Yeah
00:39:53Yeah
00:39:54I had to
00:39:55Give him a nephew
00:39:56Them that problem
00:39:57They didn't walk
00:39:57That side
00:39:58You know
00:39:59And I was glad
00:40:01For that
00:40:01To see that
00:40:02Come out of them
00:40:03And that little brother
00:40:04Who was
00:40:05Was on that side
00:40:06So I said
00:40:06I know
00:40:07What it is
00:40:07To loss
00:40:08A sibling
00:40:10To that kind of violence
00:40:11And that kind of life
00:40:12Right
00:40:12And that's what
00:40:13A man and a father
00:40:14Figure is for
00:40:15You know
00:40:15To
00:40:15To instill some sort
00:40:17Of framework
00:40:18Some sort of
00:40:19Standard
00:40:20Now again
00:40:21Your kingdom
00:40:22Is not my kingdom
00:40:23And Kiji
00:40:24And Robert
00:40:24It might have
00:40:25Different rules
00:40:26But the point is
00:40:27It have rules
00:40:28And you instill it
00:40:29And what we were
00:40:29Talking about
00:40:30This day and age
00:40:31That people do instill
00:40:32Things into their children
00:40:34People do instill
00:40:35Any sort of standard
00:40:37Right
00:40:37It's just kind of
00:40:38Whoever happens
00:40:39Happens
00:40:40And this is
00:40:42The symptoms
00:40:42Of it
00:40:43Right
00:40:44And then
00:40:44I want to add
00:40:45A next element
00:40:45As you were saying
00:40:46The list
00:40:47Before
00:40:47Of the reasons
00:40:48Why
00:40:48You would just say
00:40:49Is a good boy
00:40:50Or you're looking
00:40:51For justice
00:40:51One thing I also
00:40:52Notice is
00:40:53Shame
00:40:53Right
00:40:54Yes
00:40:55You're feeling shame
00:40:56You know
00:40:57Whoever it is
00:40:57Whether it is
00:40:58Mother
00:40:58Whoever it is
00:40:59Shame and pain
00:40:59Now let me go
00:41:01Into pain yet
00:41:02Just shame alone
00:41:03You know
00:41:03Because you read
00:41:04A seat in school
00:41:05You're embarrassing me
00:41:06Why are you getting
00:41:07On so
00:41:08So instead of
00:41:09You know
00:41:10You're wrong
00:41:10That your son
00:41:11Or you know
00:41:12What wrong
00:41:12That your child
00:41:13Do
00:41:13Instead of
00:41:14Acknowledge it openly
00:41:15You're feeling shame
00:41:16About it
00:41:16So you say
00:41:16Nah
00:41:17He was a good boy
00:41:18I see my daughter
00:41:19Do something
00:41:19My time in school
00:41:20And she mother
00:41:21Tell you
00:41:21You're trying to
00:41:22Make me feel shame
00:41:23I ain't let the mother
00:41:24Hey
00:41:24It's not about you
00:41:25It's about the child
00:41:25Correct
00:41:26It's not about you
00:41:27You see what you say
00:41:27It's about the child
00:41:28But there's also
00:41:30But there's also
00:41:30An element of pain
00:41:31Because when they've
00:41:32Now lost
00:41:33That boy
00:41:35Regardless whether
00:41:36Your sister's a good boy
00:41:37Or insert other people's eyes
00:41:38A bad boy
00:41:39It's their son
00:41:40They now have to
00:41:41For the rest of their life
00:41:44Go through that pain
00:41:45That grief
00:41:45To what their connection
00:41:47Was with that child
00:41:47And of course
00:41:48I don't think
00:41:49In any remote
00:41:51Illusion
00:41:53Or delusion
00:41:54That they are like
00:41:55Well you know
00:41:56I'm happy
00:41:57He did what he did
00:41:58Or you know
00:42:00They would have wanted
00:42:01A different life
00:42:02For their child
00:42:04And probably to provide
00:42:05A different life
00:42:05And so they still have
00:42:07The pain of
00:42:08And shame
00:42:08Of the shame
00:42:10Maybe not providing
00:42:11Certain things
00:42:13For that child
00:42:14Or a different path
00:42:15Of being able to get
00:42:16Through to that child
00:42:17But also
00:42:17The pain of
00:42:19You still
00:42:19It's still a loss
00:42:20It's still a loss
00:42:21No it's a
00:42:22It's a mothers
00:42:23Ladies
00:42:24Who lost
00:42:27Sons to this kind of violence
00:42:29And they just try to talk
00:42:30They just try to reach out
00:42:31To other young men
00:42:32And they know
00:42:32Hey there's not the road
00:42:33To work
00:42:33You know
00:42:34And I respect that
00:42:35I don't give them
00:42:36A round of applause
00:42:37Any day any time
00:42:37Because they just always
00:42:38Come out and say
00:42:39Hey there's not the road
00:42:40To work
00:42:40And try the best
00:42:41Because they know
00:42:42The feeling they had
00:42:43When that happened
00:42:44Right
00:42:45But then
00:42:45It's a ignorant
00:42:46I tell plenty of ignorant people
00:42:48You know
00:42:48What do you mean
00:42:48You see
00:42:49In life
00:42:50You just
00:42:50So about ignorant
00:42:51And talk about somebody ignorant
00:42:53And we don't understand
00:42:54Where ignorant is
00:42:55When you see ignorant
00:42:55We feel
00:42:56People in hand
00:42:57Education
00:42:58Or that
00:42:59It's a real educated
00:43:00People out here
00:43:01Just ignorant
00:43:01Actually that's arrogance
00:43:03But you go ahead
00:43:05As you said that
00:43:07As you talk about educated people
00:43:09I want us to
00:43:11Because we talk about justice
00:43:13Now the song in itself
00:43:15Would have been about
00:43:16A lot of what we've spoken about
00:43:18In the last two segments
00:43:19But justice overall
00:43:20Because there's justice
00:43:22For example
00:43:23If you're working for
00:43:24A big institution
00:43:25Or organization
00:43:26Or even a small organization
00:43:28Right
00:43:28There's just
00:43:29Let's talk a bit about
00:43:30The justice
00:43:31Inside of there
00:43:32Whether it be
00:43:32Sexual harassment
00:43:34Whether it be
00:43:35Wrongful dismissal
00:43:36Whether it be
00:43:37You know
00:43:38Organizations themselves
00:43:39Having to tolerate
00:43:40People who
00:43:41Manipulate the system
00:43:43Be it through unions
00:43:44Or taking advantage
00:43:46Of these
00:43:47Some of the systems
00:43:48That are in there
00:43:49And knowing how to
00:43:50Basically
00:43:51Simply take advantage
00:43:52The justice inside of there
00:43:53Well
00:43:55I'm not from no union
00:43:56Or nothing like that
00:43:57Some of you don't know
00:43:58Justice inside
00:43:58No but you might feel
00:43:59What I say
00:44:00Well everything
00:44:01If I'm not paying
00:44:02My right
00:44:03I want to be justifiable
00:44:04Correct
00:44:05I want my justice
00:44:06The justice of all
00:44:07The other songs
00:44:08They took you
00:44:08I want my money
00:44:12I want to get
00:44:13My raise
00:44:13I want my pay
00:44:14But again
00:44:16As I say
00:44:17Nowadays people
00:44:18Don't stand up
00:44:19For nothing now
00:44:19Everybody does
00:44:21But I see
00:44:22What's happening to me
00:44:23And hitting your doorstep
00:44:25And reach your doorstep
00:44:26And they say
00:44:26No
00:44:27Right
00:44:27You work in an institution
00:44:29As you say
00:44:29And you find the pain
00:44:32Right
00:44:32But then nobody
00:44:34Don't want to talk about that
00:44:35Because why
00:44:35They're afraid
00:44:36They lost their work
00:44:37But then
00:44:38Say for example
00:44:39To the person
00:44:40Who's looking on
00:44:41You talk about justice
00:44:42And I'm seeing you
00:44:43Say you decide
00:44:44Okay I'm going to
00:44:45I'm going to pick it
00:44:46I'm going to
00:44:46You know
00:44:47I'm going to
00:44:47Set up a
00:44:49A demonstration
00:44:50And
00:44:51I see you there
00:44:52Beaten
00:44:52And everybody
00:44:53Smiling
00:44:53And laughing
00:44:54And joking
00:44:55As an onlooker
00:44:57Or even as a
00:44:58Business
00:44:58Am I seeing
00:45:00Any sort of
00:45:00Angst in you
00:45:02Am I seeing
00:45:02Any sort of
00:45:03Pain
00:45:03Or drama
00:45:04Or hurt
00:45:06Or sadness
00:45:07There's nothing
00:45:08I see
00:45:08Like a typical
00:45:09Trini line
00:45:11Happening
00:45:12No but I'm just saying
00:45:14Asking for a cause
00:45:15When you look at a protest
00:45:17In say France
00:45:18Or another country
00:45:19You're not seeing
00:45:20Smiling
00:45:21I'm not seeing
00:45:22Resort to violence
00:45:23But I'm seeing
00:45:23It's a message
00:45:24That you're sending out
00:45:26It can't be that
00:45:27We're doing something
00:45:28And then just using it
00:45:30As a
00:45:30Hey you know
00:45:31We have some nice
00:45:31Placards
00:45:32We have some nice
00:45:33You know
00:45:33Very creative ways
00:45:35Of saying it
00:45:35But the expression
00:45:37On my face
00:45:37You know
00:45:39And at the same time
00:45:41To the employer
00:45:42Yes you have protest
00:45:43But one working
00:45:44Getting done
00:45:45And also
00:45:47The
00:45:48The
00:45:49The
00:45:51The word I'm looking for
00:45:53I don't know why
00:45:53But you get where
00:45:54I'm coming from
00:45:55The outlook
00:45:55The optics
00:45:57Is what I'm saying
00:45:58The optics
00:45:58At that point
00:45:59Justice
00:45:59Justice
00:46:00The execution
00:46:01Of justice
00:46:02Have no
00:46:02Shouldn't have a format
00:46:04Because we talk about
00:46:06Justice is
00:46:08Different justice for you
00:46:09Different justice for me
00:46:10So therefore
00:46:10The way I'm executing
00:46:11The justice
00:46:12Can't be the same
00:46:13So if
00:46:13Picketing
00:46:14Right
00:46:15You're out and protesting
00:46:16For a certain
00:46:17Issue
00:46:18That could work
00:46:19But it have
00:46:20Something different
00:46:21Remember when
00:46:22We had the
00:46:22Worldwide
00:46:23Roadblock
00:46:24Right
00:46:25That could be
00:46:26A form of protest
00:46:26They knew
00:46:28What to do
00:46:29To get the result
00:46:30They wanted
00:46:30Right
00:46:31Right
00:46:31Workers
00:46:32Turn off
00:46:34Turn off
00:46:34The lights
00:46:34If
00:46:35Let's say
00:46:35The people
00:46:36Who were in charge
00:46:37Of the lights
00:46:37And they wasn't
00:46:38Getting to pay
00:46:38To turn off
00:46:39The lights
00:46:39The people
00:46:39Who were in charge
00:46:40Of the water
00:46:40If you understand
00:46:41Justice
00:46:42The garbage men
00:46:43Pick up
00:46:44No garbage
00:46:44Right
00:46:45The garbage men
00:46:46Pick up
00:46:46Justice car
00:46:47Have this
00:46:48One format
00:46:49Right
00:46:49You have to
00:46:50Understand
00:46:50What is the
00:46:51Injustice
00:46:52You gain
00:46:52And understand
00:46:53Who
00:46:54You gain
00:46:55The injustice
00:46:55From
00:46:56So therefore
00:46:56Now you choose
00:46:57The correct method
00:46:58To do that
00:46:59But we
00:47:00But you mentioned
00:47:01Something squeezy
00:47:02As well
00:47:02And I want to
00:47:03Talk about that
00:47:03As we talk
00:47:04About justice
00:47:05Most people
00:47:06Want to see justice
00:47:08Yes
00:47:08Most people
00:47:09Are waiting
00:47:09I feel like
00:47:10A domino effect
00:47:11Everybody's waiting
00:47:12On somebody else
00:47:13To kickstart
00:47:14This thing
00:47:14And also from
00:47:15A position of
00:47:16Safety
00:47:16To know that
00:47:17Listen
00:47:17And that's why
00:47:19I asked you
00:47:19What was the
00:47:21Impetus
00:47:22What got you
00:47:24To write
00:47:24This song
00:47:25And come out
00:47:26And make a statement
00:47:27The injustice
00:47:29The injustice
00:47:29Is being done
00:47:30To the people
00:47:31To the people
00:47:31At Toronto
00:47:32By a small group
00:47:33Of people
00:47:34The injustice
00:47:35Is being done
00:47:35To them
00:47:35And you had
00:47:37That drove that
00:47:38And I'm saying
00:47:39That everybody
00:47:40It reminds me
00:47:42Of a friend of mine
00:47:43As I mentioned
00:47:43In our show
00:47:44Before
00:47:44Where I walked
00:47:45Like you knew
00:47:47My dad
00:47:47I walked a marathon
00:47:48When he was alive
00:47:49To
00:47:50Completed a marathon
00:47:52And at some point
00:47:53You go through
00:47:54A severe amount
00:47:55Of pain
00:47:55Especially if you
00:47:56Didn't train as much
00:47:5726.2 miles
00:47:59So going from
00:47:59Freeport
00:48:00In St. Mary's Junction
00:48:02To Whitehall
00:48:03In Port of Spain
00:48:03And this pain
00:48:05That unbelievable
00:48:07I can't even describe
00:48:08It that you go through
00:48:08But my why
00:48:10Was knowing that
00:48:11My dad
00:48:11Was waiting for me
00:48:13In his savannah
00:48:14To greet me
00:48:15Right
00:48:15And that drove me
00:48:17And knowing that
00:48:18Only after
00:48:19The 20 miles
00:48:20Would I then get money
00:48:22For him
00:48:22Everybody's voting
00:48:23The 20 miles
00:48:24Right
00:48:24Because you think
00:48:25And I'm saying to you
00:48:27That why
00:48:28Is so key
00:48:29And to people
00:48:30Who may want
00:48:31To make
00:48:32To do something
00:48:33And stand up
00:48:34And say something
00:48:34They need to be driven
00:48:36To find that why
00:48:38It has to reach
00:48:39To a point
00:48:40That almost
00:48:41Survivability
00:48:42That they know
00:48:43That you know
00:48:43Right now
00:48:44It might be a case
00:48:45Of now boy
00:48:45If I say anything
00:48:46I might lose my work
00:48:47Or I mightn't get
00:48:48Our pay raise
00:48:49Or this person
00:48:50Mightn't like me
00:48:50And it's not
00:48:51It's not enough
00:48:53To get them
00:48:54To really make a stand
00:48:55To
00:48:56And I'm not saying
00:48:57I'm not telling anybody
00:48:58To riot
00:48:59I'm not saying
00:48:59There's peaceful protests
00:49:01But it hasn't
00:49:02Do what is necessary
00:49:03To get what you want
00:49:04It hasn't reached a point
00:49:05Like even as I said
00:49:06Gandhi had to reach
00:49:07A point
00:49:08Jesus had to walk
00:49:09Into the temple
00:49:09And share links
00:49:10We haven't reached
00:49:12To that point
00:49:12As yet
00:49:13That it impacts
00:49:15Them
00:49:15In a particular way
00:49:17Because they could
00:49:17Still go
00:49:17To their gated community
00:49:19They could still
00:49:19Go somewhere else
00:49:20They could still
00:49:21Get food
00:49:21But to another person
00:49:22In these communities
00:49:23That we speak about
00:49:24And we speak about
00:49:25Justice
00:49:25But it may reach a point
00:49:27To them that
00:49:27They have no water
00:49:28They have no electricity
00:49:29They have no good roads
00:49:30They have no this
00:49:31So
00:49:32They're doing what
00:49:33They need to do
00:49:34See how gone
00:49:34People
00:49:35They had no road
00:49:36No water
00:49:36People
00:49:37Just adapt to them
00:49:37Things
00:49:38One time
00:49:38People
00:49:39Just adapt to that
00:49:39Right
00:49:40No
00:49:41The word is
00:49:43Cope
00:49:43Cope
00:49:44Cope
00:49:45Cope is a negative
00:49:46Cope is not a positive
00:49:50Cope is not a positive
00:49:50Cope is not a positive
00:49:52Cope
00:49:53Cope
00:49:53Cope
00:49:53You see
00:49:55You're speaking
00:49:57About
00:49:57Justice
00:49:59You know
00:50:00What is justice
00:50:00You want
00:50:01We want to see
00:50:03Corruption
00:50:04Get taken
00:50:05Down in this country
00:50:06Properly
00:50:06That is justice
00:50:07To the people
00:50:08When corruption
00:50:09From the top
00:50:10Can mash up
00:50:12Because there's already
00:50:13Plaguing children
00:50:14Around Tobago
00:50:14Everybody crying out
00:50:15For just
00:50:16Corruption
00:50:17All the big people
00:50:18All the big man
00:50:19The manhood
00:50:21Big man
00:50:21All the we know
00:50:22The problem
00:50:23Corruption
00:50:24High white colour
00:50:25Corruption
00:50:26We know that going on
00:50:27That's why I said
00:50:27I didn't want to
00:50:28Just keep focusing
00:50:29On the communities
00:50:30Like the SOE
00:50:31Like the SOE
00:50:32Going on right now
00:50:33And the SOE
00:50:34Only affecting
00:50:35One group of people
00:50:36Right
00:50:37But the reality is
00:50:38That I know
00:50:39Where the crime is
00:50:39Alone
00:50:40As he said
00:50:40White colour crime
00:50:41The SOE
00:50:41Not bringing down
00:50:42That now
00:50:43The SOE
00:50:44Bringing down
00:50:45The little ghetto
00:50:45Youths
00:50:46And them
00:50:46And people fed up
00:50:47Of that
00:50:47People frustrated
00:50:48With that
00:50:48They were like
00:50:49Just for me to reach
00:50:50Here this morning
00:50:50I had to be
00:50:51Looking out
00:50:51For police
00:50:52Because I know
00:50:52Anytime a police
00:50:54Officer
00:50:54See a youth
00:50:54Like me
00:50:55Pulling me over
00:50:57And everybody
00:50:58Getting to go
00:50:58I mean
00:50:59I'm accustomed to that
00:51:00I'm sure
00:51:00Squeezy
00:51:00Accustomed to that
00:51:01People are accustomed to that
00:51:02I reached that point
00:51:03Now where it's like
00:51:04We fed up
00:51:05Of that now
00:51:05We want justice
00:51:06For everybody
00:51:07We insane
00:51:08Loudy little youths
00:51:09And them
00:51:10As he say
00:51:10Mama
00:51:10Good good son
00:51:11Just get gun done
00:51:12And we know
00:51:13Exactly why
00:51:13You get gun done
00:51:14But I don't want to call
00:51:16No names or anything
00:51:16We don't want to be
00:51:17Too political
00:51:17But it has certain
00:51:19Things has gone
00:51:19Certain people
00:51:20Would be in politics
00:51:21And they would have
00:51:22Children or family members
00:51:23And they would be
00:51:24Doing the same crime
00:51:25And blatantly
00:51:26We would see that
00:51:27Them still out of the jails
00:51:29Them still living
00:51:30The normal life
00:51:31Everything going on
00:51:31So we come
00:51:32They ain't raiding
00:51:33All your house
00:51:34All the nothing
00:51:34Westmore ends
00:51:35All the nowhere there
00:51:36All the ghetto
00:51:37Harassing we
00:51:38And die the justice
00:51:39That we looking for now
00:51:40KG
00:51:41Who do you want
00:51:42To enforce that justice
00:51:43For you?
00:51:44Who do you think
00:51:45Should enforce that justice?
00:51:46I mean it's like
00:51:47It's so deep
00:51:48But it's so simple
00:51:49As I say
00:51:50Just me driving here
00:51:51A police officer
00:51:52With a certain rank
00:51:53Feel like
00:51:54He could just
00:51:55Advantage me
00:51:56Because
00:51:57But what you tell me
00:51:58You say asking for justice
00:51:59Who do you think
00:52:00Should execute that justice
00:52:01For you?
00:52:02The system
00:52:03You know the people
00:52:04In higher places
00:52:04But Dan
00:52:05Is the system
00:52:06Are we so
00:52:06Right
00:52:07So
00:52:07I'm going to make a suggestion
00:52:11You see how I was saying
00:52:12Justice had to be tailored
00:52:14To who we getting
00:52:15The justice from
00:52:15And I'm saying this
00:52:16Because
00:52:17Martin
00:52:19Martin Luther King
00:52:22Right
00:52:22When he started
00:52:23This movement
00:52:24He was more
00:52:24The peaceful guy
00:52:25Right
00:52:25But what he did
00:52:26Was
00:52:27He
00:52:27Say well
00:52:28It's all that we
00:52:30Just take the bus
00:52:30And it's all that we
00:52:31Just get the money
00:52:31So let me just
00:52:32Stop take the bus
00:52:33Let me
00:52:34Carpool
00:52:34All the way
00:52:35Walk to
00:52:35So they
00:52:36They didn't shoot
00:52:37Nobody
00:52:37They didn't mash up
00:52:38Nothing
00:52:38But they decided
00:52:40Who they targeting
00:52:41Because they wanted
00:52:41Justice from
00:52:42And then they did
00:52:43What is necessary
00:52:44Now I say that
00:52:45Because our history
00:52:46In Trinidad
00:52:47We are
00:52:48We come from
00:52:49Our history
00:52:49With slavery
00:52:50Of passive resistance
00:52:51Right
00:52:52And passive resistance
00:52:53Had its merits
00:52:54And that's why
00:52:55I'm real glad
00:52:56You use our
00:52:57Calypso format
00:52:58For your song
00:52:59Because Calypso
00:53:00Was one of the
00:53:01Early forms
00:53:01Of passive resistance
00:53:03Also
00:53:03Because it was used
00:53:04To
00:53:05You know
00:53:05In a kind of
00:53:06Joking way
00:53:07But it's to
00:53:07Get the message across
00:53:08So I say that
00:53:09Because many times
00:53:10We're trying to
00:53:11Fight
00:53:12Justice hard
00:53:13Instead of
00:53:14Trying to fight
00:53:14It's smart
00:53:15And I can hardly
00:53:16Say that
00:53:17Because when
00:53:17Squeeze
00:53:17He dropped the song
00:53:18And you will know
00:53:19This too
00:53:19I am in a lot
00:53:21Of whatsapp groups
00:53:21With a lot of
00:53:22Creatives
00:53:23And also
00:53:23Soca producers
00:53:24Artists
00:53:25Managers
00:53:25Everybody
00:53:26And that song
00:53:27Didn't go viral
00:53:28Because it was
00:53:29Just a good song
00:53:30That song went viral
00:53:31Because we came
00:53:32Together as a
00:53:33Collective and say
00:53:34Hey
00:53:34We push in
00:53:35Squeeze
00:53:36To the top
00:53:36While they hear
00:53:37This song
00:53:37We need this
00:53:38To reach out
00:53:39And we start
00:53:40To push it out
00:53:40Squeeze
00:53:41You know that
00:53:41You in the group
00:53:42You see the conversation
00:53:43People say
00:53:43Well I was in the group
00:53:44All of us put me in the group
00:53:45Well I see you come in the group
00:53:45After and you say
00:53:46Thanks everybody
00:53:47For the support
00:53:47I was never in that group
00:53:50All of us put me in that group
00:53:51We respect you
00:53:52We had to put you in the group
00:53:52But we made a conscious decision
00:53:55What is the word they call it
00:53:58What is the word
00:54:00Protests
00:54:01But we didn't protest
00:54:02Not violent
00:54:03We didn't know where we was going
00:54:05With it now
00:54:05KG what are you saying there
00:54:06I love that
00:54:07Because that is what
00:54:09Men
00:54:10Supposed to do
00:54:11Right
00:54:12If men
00:54:13Have a common goal
00:54:14You don't have to fight
00:54:15You don't have to fight nobody
00:54:16You don't have to use
00:54:17Now if violence is necessary
00:54:19In a position
00:54:20You use it
00:54:21But if you're playing chess
00:54:23You don't always use your queen
00:54:24Right
00:54:25You could use the pawns
00:54:26You could use
00:54:26Different things
00:54:27You decide
00:54:28The way you're going
00:54:29And get our justice
00:54:30Now I'm saying this
00:54:31Even to the nation
00:54:32If you all know
00:54:33You have injustice somewhere
00:54:34You have to decide to do it
00:54:36In the way that will work
00:54:37Right
00:54:38If burning a tire not working
00:54:39Try something else
00:54:41If protesting not working
00:54:43Try something else
00:54:44But as you say
00:54:45It's a conscious effort
00:54:46So the point is
00:54:47To try
00:54:47Not just as you were saying
00:54:49To just allow things
00:54:50To happen
00:54:50You see right now
00:54:51What I was saying right
00:54:53Children of the bagel
00:54:55When you talk about
00:54:56Martin Luther King
00:54:57And
00:54:57How peacefully protest
00:55:00And he thinks they did
00:55:00Come on
00:55:02You know that
00:55:03That's going to work here
00:55:04No time
00:55:04I'm not saying that
00:55:05But you find the method
00:55:07That was for you
00:55:08You know what I'm saying
00:55:09You know why
00:55:09We
00:55:09Remember we get brainwashed
00:55:11Long time
00:55:12You know
00:55:13I'm not sung
00:55:13Like no Rasta
00:55:14For Iman
00:55:15And Selassie
00:55:15But we
00:55:16You don't have to dread
00:55:17To be Rasta
00:55:18No no
00:55:19What I'm saying
00:55:19You know
00:55:20We as a society
00:55:21Get brainwashed
00:55:22Long time
00:55:22We don't want to admit that
00:55:23Because
00:55:24Alright
00:55:25Let me
00:55:26As you
00:55:26That's a nice thing
00:55:28You say now
00:55:28This
00:55:29This affects you
00:55:30Let me do by this
00:55:31Hey
00:55:32All I want to buy
00:55:33I can buy
00:55:33I can afford it
00:55:34You want to show that
00:55:36Hey I can afford this
00:55:37They're not
00:55:37You can afford it
00:55:38We're not buying it
00:55:39Because of the raise
00:55:40For no reason
00:55:42Right
00:55:43The owner of the grocery
00:55:44Or the owner of the business
00:55:46He
00:55:46Buy a brand new Benz
00:55:47And he want
00:55:48We to pay back
00:55:49For he Benz
00:55:50So he raised the thing
00:55:51Right
00:55:51Look
00:55:52Look
00:55:52Look
00:55:52Look
00:55:53Look
00:55:53Look
00:55:53Look
00:55:53Look
00:55:53Look
00:55:53Look
00:55:54KFC
00:55:55The thing
00:55:55You catch up
00:55:56And everybody
00:55:58Say
00:55:58You see what KFC do
00:55:59They bring back the pump
00:56:01And nobody in China
00:56:02Don't watch that
00:56:03All this thing
00:56:04Was going on here
00:56:05In China
00:56:05Did we watch it
00:56:06I was observing
00:56:06That
00:56:07Sorry
00:56:07Not nobody
00:56:08Sorry
00:56:09A lot of people
00:56:09In China
00:56:10They look at how
00:56:11Peaceful that protest was
00:56:13Right
00:56:13And they got results
00:56:15Right
00:56:16So as you say
00:56:17We can get results
00:56:18For a lot of things
00:56:19In this country
00:56:19If we do the right thing
00:56:21And everybody get together
00:56:22And that one collective
00:56:22But we not get
00:56:24It has to matter
00:56:25It has to matter
00:56:26It has to matter
00:56:27Enough
00:56:28Yeah
00:56:28You say KFC
00:56:29I don't want no money in my car
00:56:30I don't want no money in my car
00:56:33In my car
00:56:34Right
00:56:35I don't want no money in my car
00:56:35I don't want no money in my car
00:56:36They really cannot
00:56:37Right
00:56:38You see
00:56:39The mentality
00:56:40Is based on the masses
00:56:41You can't ask the masses
00:56:43To do things
00:56:44What you do is
00:56:45You ask the leaders
00:56:46To lead the masses
00:56:47To do things
00:56:47So we're not talking
00:56:49To the masses
00:56:49We have four leaders
00:56:52Here in the room
00:56:53And we're talking to
00:56:54Men who are leaders also
00:56:55KG
00:56:56Have his niche
00:56:57You have his niche
00:56:58I have my niche
00:56:58Robert
00:56:59Have his niche
00:56:59And men out there
00:57:00Have their niche
00:57:01You use
00:57:02You as a leader
00:57:03You can't ask
00:57:04The masses
00:57:05For things
00:57:05Like
00:57:06Let me just give you an example
00:57:07She pulls equality
00:57:08A mentor of mine
00:57:09Had given me an example
00:57:10He said
00:57:10Years ago
00:57:11I don't know if you remember
00:57:12Charlie
00:57:13Charlie
00:57:14For the trash
00:57:16That was chase Charlie away
00:57:17Right
00:57:18Chase Charlie away
00:57:19When Charlie
00:57:19That campaign was out
00:57:20It had children
00:57:21People
00:57:22Was free to litter
00:57:23You know
00:57:23Because Charlie
00:57:24Was coming for you
00:57:25Now that is a campaign
00:57:27That was something
00:57:28A leader put out
00:57:29Now we have social media
00:57:30And things
00:57:30We couldn't influence people
00:57:32So
00:57:33KG say here
00:57:35And some men
00:57:35Come together in a group
00:57:36And push you
00:57:37If you understand
00:57:38What I'm saying
00:57:39Right
00:57:39So
00:57:40Every leader
00:57:41Have
00:57:42The thing
00:57:43And that is not something
00:57:43That he was all always doing
00:57:45Correct
00:57:45So
00:57:45So when we do it
00:57:47And we see the result
00:57:48I was like
00:57:49Look how easy it is
00:57:50Even with Trinidad
00:57:51Killer
00:57:51And the whole thing
00:57:52That's going right now
00:57:53People
00:57:54Pushing this man
00:57:55To the top
00:57:56You know
00:57:56That is something
00:57:57What we do
00:57:58I suggested that
00:57:59A long time
00:57:59Without a man
00:58:00But I remember like
00:58:01Bye
00:58:01Why get out of that
00:58:02And leave them alone
00:58:04Leave them alone
00:58:04Remember
00:58:04Leaders in the minority
00:58:06They're not in the majority
00:58:07We make a decision
00:58:07To change this thing too
00:58:08This is a very rich conversation
00:58:11Yeah it is
00:58:12Right
00:58:12A rich conversation
00:58:13But the time
00:58:13The time is the time
00:58:14For sure
00:58:15Right
00:58:15And I know certain gentlemen
00:58:18Have no idea of time
00:58:19Even though he's been on the show
00:58:20For over
00:58:20I try to pick up all
00:58:21I try to pick up all
00:58:22So
00:58:23But what I want
00:58:25I want to close
00:58:26I want to close
00:58:27Of course everybody
00:58:28Giving their thoughts
00:58:29But there are a couple things
00:58:30That I can't close
00:58:31Without addressing it
00:58:33And
00:58:34One of the things is
00:58:36A couple things
00:58:37And
00:58:37Please
00:58:38Allow me just
00:58:39Just to
00:58:39Just to
00:58:40Ventilate
00:58:40The thought
00:58:40And then ask
00:58:41For a response
00:58:42The
00:58:43In your case
00:58:45And I go to say
00:58:46KJ
00:58:46But I know it's squeezy
00:58:47Right
00:58:47Out of
00:58:48Out of kicks
00:58:48Right
00:58:49The thing squeezy
00:58:51Is
00:58:51You
00:58:52In what you have done
00:58:56The irony is
00:58:58Is that
00:58:58Out of what
00:59:00There's always this thing
00:59:02In Trinidad
00:59:02In Trinidad and Tobago
00:59:03That no matter
00:59:03What happens
00:59:04We are
00:59:04Carnival
00:59:05We are
00:59:06We are
00:59:06We are
00:59:06We are drinking
00:59:07We are
00:59:07We are
00:59:07Place our
00:59:07Party
00:59:08And the irony is
00:59:09The one thing
00:59:10That makes us
00:59:11You know
00:59:11Almost sedates us
00:59:13For lack of a better word
00:59:14And as long as it's done
00:59:15During the carnival period
00:59:17Or afterwards
00:59:19We get to ban
00:59:20Launch and all the rest of it
00:59:21Nothing really gets said
00:59:22Or done in a big way
00:59:23Right
00:59:24And the irony is
00:59:26How
00:59:26Where carnival comes from
00:59:28As we talk about
00:59:29Slavery
00:59:30It was out of a protest
00:59:32Of people
00:59:33Having
00:59:33You know
00:59:34It was too much
00:59:36It was
00:59:36It was beyond bearable
00:59:37Right
00:59:38And as a result
00:59:39There was riot
00:59:39There was protest
00:59:40And then we have the
00:59:41You know
00:59:41The tambu-bambo
00:59:42And the
00:59:43And the
00:59:43You know
00:59:44The other aspects
00:59:45Of it
00:59:45I can't
00:59:46I can't really recall
00:59:47Some of the names now
00:59:48And also
00:59:49And I want to
00:59:51Segway to your
00:59:52Thing
00:59:52Crazy
00:59:53To
00:59:53Squeezy
00:59:54Where we speak about
00:59:56Calypso
00:59:57And what Calypso was
00:59:59I spent a lot of time
01:00:01With Sparrow
01:00:02And to understand
01:00:03Even how his name
01:00:04Came about
01:00:05In terms of
01:00:05The mighty Sparrow
01:00:06How he was treated
01:00:07Among the names
01:00:08Like Roaring Lion
01:00:09Back in the day
01:00:10And he came about
01:00:11And he was
01:00:12He started to break the mold
01:00:13And started to dance
01:00:14And they said
01:00:15Well you only
01:00:15France
01:00:16And about like
01:00:16A little sparrow
01:00:17And when he started
01:00:18To win
01:00:18Is when he said
01:00:19Well if I'm a sparrow
01:00:20Then I must be
01:00:20A mighty sparrow
01:00:22And that's how
01:00:22That name came about
01:00:24And I'm saying
01:00:24What it was about
01:00:26It was
01:00:27It was a movement
01:00:28It was where
01:00:29You would come to hear
01:00:30What is happening
01:00:31In the land
01:00:32And
01:00:33So when you came
01:00:34When you came
01:00:35And you said
01:00:35To us at the start
01:00:36Off record
01:00:38That
01:00:39When you talk about
01:00:40Talk
01:00:40The truth
01:00:41And other songs
01:00:42And so on
01:00:42That you have
01:00:43In your
01:00:44In your arsenal
01:00:45So to speak
01:00:46Make a sparrow record
01:00:47It is
01:00:47It is
01:00:48Ironic
01:00:50That the calypso
01:00:51That you said
01:00:52Took people
01:00:52To know
01:00:54Nationally
01:00:55Whose queasy ranking
01:00:56Is when you sang
01:00:57A calypso
01:00:57But it is
01:00:58The calypso
01:00:59At the heart of it
01:01:01Came about
01:01:02By talking the truth
01:01:04By to singing
01:01:05About justice
01:01:06Yes
01:01:06So it should be
01:01:08No surprise to you
01:01:09And I also want
01:01:10To touch on the fact
01:01:11That
01:01:11You said KG
01:01:14When you said
01:01:15About
01:01:16Justice
01:01:17Outside
01:01:18White collar crime
01:01:19And the SOE
01:01:21Is it then
01:01:22And I wanted
01:01:23To address this
01:01:24Because it
01:01:24Touched a point
01:01:25That I wanted
01:01:26To hear more about
01:01:28Is it that
01:01:28We are saying
01:01:29Then that
01:01:29In those communities
01:01:30People are seen
01:01:32As casualties
01:01:33Of war
01:01:34Because they're not
01:01:35They're not addressing
01:01:36The source
01:01:36Or persons
01:01:37That could
01:01:37Change the system
01:01:39It is
01:01:40Okay well
01:01:41I can't get to that source
01:01:42So let me make examples
01:01:44And I will do
01:01:45What I have to do
01:01:46And then hopefully
01:01:46By that happening
01:01:47Change may come about
01:01:49Is that
01:01:50Is that what it
01:01:51Yeah definitely
01:01:52And I can speak for myself
01:01:53And other people
01:01:55Who are wrong
01:01:55I know we feel
01:01:56The same way
01:01:57As in
01:01:57I think I said this
01:01:58Last time I was on the show too
01:01:59I feel
01:02:00Many times
01:02:01Like an innocent man
01:02:02Lock up in prison
01:02:03Because of
01:02:05The system
01:02:06Attacks one group
01:02:08Of people
01:02:08For whatever reason
01:02:10And sometimes
01:02:11We will get caught
01:02:12And over the whole
01:02:13Trinibar industry
01:02:14And all these things
01:02:15We will get caught
01:02:16In the crossfire
01:02:17Knowing that
01:02:18We're not doing
01:02:19Anything wrong
01:02:19But still
01:02:20Had to get caught up
01:02:20Because the
01:02:21The main
01:02:24Give me the word
01:02:26The main
01:02:27Object
01:02:28Objective
01:02:29Is always to attack
01:02:30One group of people
01:02:31So I feel like
01:02:32An innocent person
01:02:33In prison
01:02:33But it's almost
01:02:34Even more
01:02:35Heartbreaking
01:02:35To look
01:02:37Outside
01:02:38And see
01:02:38Other people
01:02:39That we know
01:02:40The country know
01:02:41The system know
01:02:43Doing
01:02:43Excessive amount
01:02:45Of crime
01:02:45But everybody
01:02:46Is still in a blind
01:02:47And that is the
01:02:49Hurtful part
01:02:49So yes
01:02:50We do feel like
01:02:51Casualties to
01:02:52A corrupted system
01:02:53And casualties to
01:02:55Peter pay for Paul
01:02:56You know
01:02:57So if we see
01:02:57These youths in the
01:02:59Trinibar industry
01:03:00You ever commit crimes
01:03:01KG now is a criminal
01:03:03Too
01:03:03Because
01:03:04All of us
01:03:05Is one
01:03:06You know
01:03:07It's like we
01:03:07It's like we
01:03:08Divided in two
01:03:09That this side of the
01:03:10Country
01:03:10And this side of the
01:03:11Country
01:03:11Whatever side you
01:03:13Land on
01:03:13Justice
01:03:14Justice for
01:03:16For them
01:03:17No justice for
01:03:18We
01:03:18And that's how
01:03:19We does feel
01:03:20You know
01:03:21Your thoughts
01:03:22If you want
01:03:25Justice
01:03:26You have to be
01:03:28Honest
01:03:28About exactly
01:03:29Where the injustice
01:03:31Coming from
01:03:32And what exactly
01:03:33Is your capability
01:03:34Right
01:03:35And
01:03:36Also
01:03:37As men
01:03:39We can't do
01:03:40Things alone
01:03:41We can only
01:03:42Reach so far alone
01:03:43So if it have
01:03:44It have a movie
01:03:45Called A Few Good Men
01:03:46Right
01:03:47If it have a few
01:03:48Good men
01:03:49Able to do something
01:03:50And not just fight
01:03:52But think about it
01:03:54Be honest
01:03:54And come up with
01:03:55The correct strategy
01:03:56To get whatever
01:03:57Justice
01:03:58Then we'll be able
01:03:59To face it
01:04:00Men who watch
01:04:01In
01:04:01Every man
01:04:02Know
01:04:02In his family
01:04:03In his community
01:04:04In his job
01:04:05The reality of things
01:04:07And I'm not saying
01:04:08That you have to
01:04:08Change everything
01:04:09But at least
01:04:09Choose one thing
01:04:10That you could
01:04:11Stand up for
01:04:12And you could
01:04:12Spend your rest
01:04:13Of your life
01:04:14Committed
01:04:15To standing
01:04:15For that one thing
01:04:16I can say
01:04:18One more thing
01:04:18Before we cut
01:04:18Just this morning
01:04:20I was watching
01:04:21A little
01:04:21Podcast
01:04:23And I was talking
01:04:24About great men
01:04:25Create easy times
01:04:28And weak men
01:04:29Create hard times
01:04:30Now
01:04:30And I feel like
01:04:32That is the era
01:04:32That we're going through
01:04:33Right now
01:04:34Like we
01:04:34Our parents
01:04:35And probably our
01:04:36Grandparents
01:04:36They were strong men
01:04:38And they created it
01:04:39Easier
01:04:40For my generation
01:04:41Or the early generation
01:04:43As the millennials
01:04:44Or whatever you want
01:04:44To call it
01:04:45And these men
01:04:46Were weak men
01:04:47And now we're going
01:04:48Through hard times
01:04:49Because weak men
01:04:50Don't stand up for nothing
01:04:51And the hard times
01:04:52Is really strong
01:04:53Let me just
01:04:53Let me just clarify
01:04:54That point
01:04:55Before we go to squeezy
01:04:56So it's not that
01:04:57Great men are a bad thing
01:04:58But as you mentioned
01:05:00Earlier in the show
01:05:02Where we spoke about
01:05:03If I grew up
01:05:05Having to tote water
01:05:07I don't want my child
01:05:09Now to tote water
01:05:10Right
01:05:11Now not wanting
01:05:12Your child to tote water
01:05:13Is not the problem
01:05:15The problem is
01:05:16When you don't
01:05:17Now bring across
01:05:17All the other values
01:05:19That would come across
01:05:20With chores
01:05:21And knowing what
01:05:22Hard work is
01:05:22And dedication
01:05:23And the value of money
01:05:24And if you bring
01:05:25Those things across
01:05:26As great men
01:05:27Then what you do
01:05:28Is you allow for
01:05:29Continuance
01:05:30Of greater men
01:05:32But it's when you
01:05:32Remove those
01:05:33And you just like
01:05:34Give your child
01:05:35A golden spoon
01:05:37So to speak
01:05:37Is when we now
01:05:38Start to encourage
01:05:39Weak men
01:05:40Because they have
01:05:41They have
01:05:41The luxury items
01:05:43And they're not
01:05:44Doing certain things
01:05:45But they have no idea
01:05:45How it came about
01:05:46And so therefore
01:05:47They can't value it
01:05:48Definitely
01:05:49Squeezy
01:05:50Correct
01:05:50I want you to
01:05:51I want you to
01:05:52Take us out
01:05:54With
01:05:54To take you out
01:05:55With a teaser
01:05:56A teaser into that verse
01:05:58That's so apt
01:05:59To what we've discussed
01:06:00Here on this show
01:06:01Spare the rod and spoil
01:06:06The child
01:06:07I didn't expect people
01:06:24To take to this song
01:06:26So good
01:06:28Because
01:06:29We have a way
01:06:31We like
01:06:32All I like
01:06:33We like to play
01:06:34Naive now
01:06:34Right
01:06:35And because of that
01:06:36I didn't expect people
01:06:49To take to this song
01:06:50In this manner
01:06:51Because you're seeing
01:06:52Things going on
01:06:53And then people
01:06:54Still pray
01:06:55That going on
01:06:56I didn't know that
01:06:56That
01:06:57The things
01:06:58That people
01:06:58That be saying
01:06:59That happening
01:07:00Will that happen
01:07:01Yeah
01:07:02I didn't know that
01:07:04You know
01:07:06You know
01:07:07So
01:07:07Yeah
01:07:08So
01:07:08That way
01:07:09We as artists
01:07:12Right
01:07:13Now a lot of artists
01:07:14That sing songs
01:07:15Pertaining to the crime
01:07:18Pertaining to the injustice
01:07:19Pertaining to
01:07:20To moral values
01:07:22A lot of artists
01:07:23That sing these things
01:07:24You know
01:07:24But
01:07:24It's in the manner
01:07:25In which you sing it
01:07:26Sometimes
01:07:26You don't connect
01:07:27With the people
01:07:27Or resonate with the people
01:07:29And they digest the problem
01:07:31With the musical aspect
01:07:33Of the thing
01:07:33Because if the artists
01:07:35And them start to speak out
01:07:36Right
01:07:37We have a voice
01:07:37And then if the radio station
01:07:39And them too
01:07:39Not disrespecting the radio station
01:07:41And them
01:07:41But the radio station
01:07:42And them too
01:07:42Really
01:07:43Take this thing serious
01:07:44Right
01:07:45And the songs
01:07:46With the messages
01:07:47You know
01:07:47They
01:07:48Himself
01:07:49I have a program
01:07:50For that alone
01:07:50I cannot play
01:07:51But
01:07:52You know
01:07:53Everybody is money
01:07:54Everybody is
01:07:55Lime
01:07:56Everybody is
01:07:56You know
01:07:57Not disrespecting nobody
01:07:58But they
01:07:59They how it is now
01:08:00Right
01:08:00So the people now
01:08:02The people doesn't really
01:08:03Get to hear
01:08:04The songs
01:08:05With the message
01:08:06Now boy
01:08:06It doesn't really
01:08:07Write set their ears
01:08:08Right
01:08:09We as artists
01:08:10Need to ruffle the feathers
01:08:13Right now
01:08:13Right
01:08:14I know a lot of men
01:08:15Freed
01:08:16To ruffle feathers
01:08:17Because
01:08:17Plenty
01:08:18Plenty of them
01:08:19Political allegiances
01:08:20And
01:08:21What not
01:08:21What not
01:08:22And
01:08:22Or
01:08:22Endorsements
01:08:25And all these things
01:08:26So people would not
01:08:27Say nothing about it
01:08:28I don't have none of that
01:08:29So I don't mind
01:08:30How to see
01:08:31What I see
01:08:31Right
01:08:32How to see
01:08:33What I see
01:08:34And Trinidad and Tobago
01:08:35We need to start
01:08:37To stand up
01:08:37Justice
01:08:38Justice
01:08:39And squeeze it
01:08:40Talk in the truth
01:08:41And I know you're going to give me
01:08:42A verse from
01:08:43Talk the truth
01:08:44You have a verse from that
01:08:45A verse from that
01:08:45Yes
01:08:46You sure
01:08:46Yes
01:08:47It didn't
01:08:50Transfer yet
01:08:51How it's
01:08:51In the
01:08:52Calypso format
01:08:53So you still have it
01:08:54In the next format
01:08:55But you're going like
01:08:55You sure
01:08:56This whole place
01:09:00Out of
01:09:00You know
01:09:02Eating out
01:09:02The car
01:09:02From inside
01:09:03Just like
01:09:03A cancer
01:09:04And every
01:09:05Youth
01:09:05Will be
01:09:05A monster
01:09:06So now
01:09:06They make up
01:09:07The mind
01:09:08To rock
01:09:08Under a number
01:09:09Enough time
01:09:10The belly
01:09:10Burn in
01:09:11But the happy
01:09:12Lady joker
01:09:12Could have
01:09:13Just do a
01:09:13Banging
01:09:14And politicians
01:09:15Pretend to
01:09:15Know nothing
01:09:16Once they get
01:09:17The zakat
01:09:17From the
01:09:17Racket
01:09:18With the
01:09:18Running
01:09:18We know
01:09:19The code
01:09:20From a
01:09:20Long time
01:09:21Police
01:09:21Don't lock
01:09:22Nobody up
01:09:22For white
01:09:23Colour
01:09:23Crime
01:09:23So the
01:09:24Teef
01:09:24A lot
01:09:24And they
01:09:25Call the
01:09:25Shots
01:09:25And throw
01:09:26The blame
01:09:26On the
01:09:27Youth
01:09:27Them from
01:09:27The block
01:09:28But we
01:09:29Don't know
01:09:29From the
01:09:29Inception
01:09:30No rich
01:09:30Boy
01:09:31Criminal
01:09:31Don't even
01:09:32See
01:09:32The station
01:09:32In charge
01:09:33Of
01:09:33Crime
01:09:34In
01:09:34Trinidad
01:09:34Yet
01:09:35Still
01:09:35They
01:09:35Blame
01:09:36It
01:09:36On
01:09:36Trinidad
01:09:37Talk
01:09:37The truth

01:09:48They
01:09:48Condem
01:09:48When
01:09:49Election
01:09:49Time
01:09:50Come
01:09:50He
01:09:50Is
01:09:50The
01:09:50Politician
01:09:51Best
01:09:51Friend
01:09:51And when
01:09:52They
01:09:52Walk
01:09:52Through
01:09:52The
01:09:53Area
01:09:53He
01:09:53Is
01:09:53A
01:09:55Community
01:09:55Leader
01:09:56They
01:09:56Are

01:09:56Guns
01:09:57In
01:09:57Abundant
01:09:58And
01:09:58The
01:09:58Powers
01:09:58Be
01:09:59To
01:09:59Really
01:09:59Give
01:09:59A
01:10:00Damn
01:10:00About
01:10:00That
01:10:00They
01:10:01Only
01:10:01Care
01:10:01About

01:10:02From
01:10:02All
01:10:02The
01:10:02URP
01:10:03Ghost
01:10:03And
01:10:03The
01:10:03Box

01:10:05And
01:10:05All
01:10:06With
01:10:06A
01:10:06Blind
01:10:06Eye
01:10:07Once
01:10:07They
01:10:07Get
01:10:07The
01:10:08Percentage
01:10:08Of
01:10:08The
01:10:08Crime
01:10:09Pie
01:10:09Cause
01:10:09They
01:10:09Kiss
01:10:10The

01:10:10The
01:10:10Wealthy
01:10:11Class

01:10:12And
01:10:12Gangsters
01:10:13Knock
01:10:13The

01:10:13So
01:10:14All
01:10:14It's

01:10:15About
01:10:15Guns
01:10:15And
