00:00I'm sure he suffers with defeat, but he still needs a seat.
00:04Here's a look at Mattel Master Universe Masterverse, New Eternia, Skeletor with Havoc Throne.
00:08The Bone Throne
00:38is a conduit for Skeletor's Havoc Magic to seek out and capture the power of Greyskull.
00:44However, before we look at Bone Dome and his Bone Throne, let's take the T-Measure and
00:48see how tall both actually stand.
00:50Now, these are sold as a set, even though, as you probably saw at the beginning of this
00:53video, as you open up the box, they're actually sealed separately.
00:56So Skeletor is basically packaged inside his regular Masterverse packaging, and then the
01:00Bone Throne does require a little bit of assembly.
01:03With that in mind, though, Skeletor is actually going to be reusing the same body as the Barbarian
01:07Skeletor.
01:08I'll be bringing that one in if you're not quite sure which one that is.
01:11Because of that, he's going to stand the same at seven inches in height.
01:14Translating, though, to a figure that's roughly about 17 and a half centimeters tall.
01:18Once everything is fully assembled, the Bone Throne actually stands, first of all, at about
01:2411 inches in height.
01:25It's quite tall.
01:27And that works out to be about 27 and a half centimeters tall.
01:30Yeah, for sizing up Skeletors, you can see that they're going to be using the same body
01:34as the New Eternia Skeletor.
01:36This was the one that actually had the two swappable head sculpts.
01:39Although, to be fair, a lot of the time, I just have the Skeletor displayed as you're
01:42currently seeing right now.
01:43With the new head that he also gets, because again, a lot of it is more cosmetic changes,
01:47I feel he bears a lot of a resemblance to the Keldor two-pack Skeletor that had their
01:52ruby red eyes.
01:53Not that that's probably going to be the figure you're going to be displaying along with the
01:56New Eternia figures, but also, as you'll see in a second, they took a lot of inspirational
02:01cues from that Origins release.
02:02Let's bring in some of the other figures also as well.
02:04And also, by the way, too, I had the chance to go in there and fix up Evil Lin's head.
02:09If you watched my review of it, Evil Lin had probably like a five or six head to her.
02:14I actually went in there, I peeled off carefully.
02:16Although, unfortunately, though, you can see some damage has been done on the sides.
02:20To get it as far down low like this, and then unfortunately for me, I have to have a
02:24little bit of visible cheekbone.
02:26Boy, her cheekbones are really quite high.
02:27But at least from the front, it's a much better looking Evil Lin than the way that it started
02:32when I first got her out of the packaging.
02:33So let's just put Evil Lin right here.
02:35She has a little bit of a hard time to stand.
02:37Let's also bring in Trapjaw.
02:39And hey, why not?
02:40Speaking with Trap...
02:41Here's also what the figure looks like with Triclops.
02:43Now, also, if you had the chance to pick up the New Eternia, Panthor, which is also one
02:49thing...
02:49I just don't have the space to get him out right now.
02:51But when it comes to displaying this guy on the shelf with now his throne, Panther definitely
02:56will be right by his side.
02:57Speaking of by his side, let's actually also slide over the Bone Throne.
03:01We'll move Skeletor over here as well.
03:03I didn't want to also bring in the box.
03:05Now, the box, as you saw at the beginning of this video when I kind of took everything
03:08out of the main box, this was basically all the stuff that contained the Bone Throne
03:11with the little Ovzu assembly that was required.
03:15The sculpting of the box is really nice, too.
03:17It's not...
03:17I mean, it's clearly just cardboard, but they've raised some of the surfaces so you can actually
03:21feel the cobblestone wall face of the Snake Mountain interior.
03:25Skeletor is also raised here as well.
03:27Along the top, too, it's a kind of really cool skull motif that happens to carry over
03:30to the top of the throne.
03:32Now, also, inside the box, you get yourself a cardboard backer.
03:36The cardboard slots inside of four convenient slotted places.
03:40And then you got yourself a little diorama display behind it.
03:43Now, also, just for the sizing of this, you can take the throne, even though I'm probably
03:47not going to be doing this, you can take the throne, you can put it just on top like
03:50that.
03:51Let's just bring the camera up just a little bit.
03:52There we go.
03:54You can get at least an idea of how that's going to look.
03:56It's going to make certainly for a much higher display, but, you know, some people would
03:59have maybe preferred to have it that way.
04:00I think myself, I'm just probably going to be putting everything back in the box and
04:04disassembling everything.
04:06But at least it gives you an option.
04:07I do kind of like the idea that they found a way to incorporate the packaging.
04:11Let's move that off to the side.
04:13So, bring back in Skeletor.
04:15Let's put him right front and center.
04:16I guess side to center.
04:17We're going to put him right alongside the throne.
04:19And let's just bring Cameron back down to where we started things for the figures, for
04:23the figures, accessories.
04:25I want to keep talking about assembly, but let's talk a little bit about the accessories
04:28first.
04:29The figure does come included, first of all, with a relaxed hand and a gripping hand, or
04:33I guess a closed fisted hand.
04:35These are actually inside the little paper baggie on the side of the new Eternia packaging
04:39of Skeletor.
04:40So, before you discard anything, I just want to make sure, like, go back and just double
04:44check that you don't accidentally throw these out in the process.
04:47Speaking of which, though, here's the packaging also for Skeletor.
04:50I love the artwork that they've used here for Skeletor, even though I've got to say, I'm
04:54not really digging the gold myself, but it looks really good.
04:57And then the compartment tray would have just, well, you just open this side and inside here
05:00would be the paper baggie and then the paper bag would have the already mentioned hands.
05:05Let's move that off to the side.
05:06Okay.
05:07What else does the figure come included with?
05:09Well, he comes with two staffs, a serpent staff.
05:13It actually kind of looks more like a dragon.
05:15Part dragon, part king cobra, all deadly.
05:18Molded nicely here in gold plastic.
05:20Some nice spikes down the back side of this.
05:23I didn't notice, though, getting the staff out, that the wrapping areas here, I don't
05:27know if it's just the sticky paint.
05:29Maybe it's paint that's the problem, but it's tacky.
05:32Very tacky.
05:33Like, I can run, not that you would be able to really gauge that by the video, but kind
05:38of take my word for it.
05:38It's really gummy right around here.
05:41This will actually attach to the back of the throne room.
05:44The figure does also come included with a classic looking havoc staff.
05:47Like the look of that.
05:49The metallic purple, by the way, is very close to panthor.
05:53All right.
05:54Yeah.
05:54You want to see panthor.
05:54Okay.
05:55So let's just move skeletal over here.
05:57Panthor, panthor.
05:58Right over here.
05:59Panthor is a big kitty.
06:00Right over there.
06:02You can certainly already see.
06:03I mean, between the space being occupied by just the cat, then the throne, you're going
06:07to need about that much space on your shelf.
06:09Let's move panthor back.
06:12There was also an instruction booklet.
06:14I guess we can also bring in the instruction booklet.
06:16It shows you step-by-step instructions.
06:18I'll do my best to kind of cover off all these individual steps.
06:21And that's basically, it shows you how to put together the throne itself.
06:24One thing I will say though, about the throne is I do find it excessively busy.
06:29There's things that I like about it.
06:31There are things, truth be told, if I wasn't doing a review of this, I probably would have
06:34then chose to leave off some of the things.
06:37Like the furry seat, for example, I think is kind of cool.
06:39If you like grizzlore, I might choose, I think, maybe to leave that off.
06:42I think really once this video is done, I'm probably going to see myself trying to do
06:47my best to kind of disassemble some of these pieces and leave some of the things off.
06:52By the way, though, the Havoc staff and the Serpent staff do actually attach onto the
06:56back of the throne room.
06:57So if we just spin around the throne, located on the back, you sort of have these snake
07:02pillars, podiums.
07:04You basically would just take yourself.
07:05It doesn't really matter which side goes on which side, but take yourself the Havoc
07:08staff and then take yourself the Serpent staff.
07:10And they have to fit inside of these holes right here.
07:14I mean, you really have to struggle to get them in there.
07:16These are also using very soft plastic, as you can tell by how easy it is for me to squish
07:20these.
07:20So I'd probably say kind of hold onto these because you don't want to put a lot of pressure
07:24on these.
07:25And then with both of them having ball bearings on the end, you have to fight to get them
07:29through.
07:30Once it gets through, it's easy enough.
07:31The hard part comes really when it comes to retaking these out because you really have
07:35to yank them.
07:37And I find it actually helps just a bit to twist these as you're pulling these out.
07:41There you go.
07:42I suppose they've done that.
07:44So there's a little bit, well, there's something just to kind of hold the staffs in place.
07:47Because if not for that, they probably be a little bit more looser than what they are
07:50right now.
07:51It's basically, you take yourself the Havoc staff, do the same thing on the other side.
07:54Do I have that all the way on there?
07:55I don't think I have that all the way on there.
07:57Take yourself the serpent staff and do the exact same.
08:00And actually on the bottom of it, you can see that they've left an open area where that
08:04ball bearing sits really comfortably.
08:06So the staffs aren't going to be going anywhere.
08:09So there is the, there's the throne room.
08:11There's, of course, there's Skeletor.
08:13They come included with this.
08:14You also get yourself an instruction booklet.
08:16Now the booklet is pretty simple and straightforward to understand.
08:20I mean, basically, so it tells you from step one, putting down the fur, putting down the
08:23seat, which again, I don't think I have snapped on completely.
08:25But it's a pretty simple to understand instructions.
08:29Again, like for this, they tell you that the serpent has to go on this side, the Havoc.
08:32I mean, I don't think it really necessarily matters.
08:35And that's basically what it looks like with Skeletor sitting inside, sitting on top of
08:38his seat.
08:39One thing I don't know too, is that Skeletor is actually missing his cape.
08:43Now that's something that you could choose to take off of Skeletor.
08:46I'll show you guys also that in a second.
08:49As for Skeletor, do we want to look at Skeletor first?
08:51Okay.
08:52Let's look at Skeletor first.
08:53Skeletor, again, as mentioned, is pretty much going to be using the same new Eternia
08:57body.
08:58Other than obviously just the head being completely different, the torso, the arms, the lower
09:03legs, and even the skirting is exactly the same.
09:06Now they have gone in there and admittingly added, I felt, unnecessary paint.
09:10There's gold on his shin guards.
09:11And also you can see like the gold, the shin guards themselves are much lighter plastic.
09:15Actually, all the plastic in purple is much lighter, more metallic than the new Eternia
09:20Skeletor.
09:21Same bodies though.
09:23The one thing obviously you need to know is the fact that this guy does have the cape.
09:26Now the cape you could take off.
09:27The cape does give him a little extra flow on the back.
09:31I guess if you really wanted to, you could also use this cape.
09:33Not that I would really recommend cutting this up, but I know a lot of disappointed fans
09:38out there really wanted the cartoon collection.
09:40Evil Linda have a cape.
09:41Hey, you got yourself a black cape right here.
09:44I don't know though if I'm really going to keep the cape.
09:46I like the idea of Skeletor really having a cape.
09:48What I don't like though is it's attached to this piece.
09:51I find it's a bit of an eyesore, honestly.
09:53The purple, first of all, doesn't match at all to the purple.
09:55Well, it's about the same.
09:57I feel it's a little bit lighter, but I feel like it's really the gold that ruins this for
10:01me.
10:01The gold I can get kind of behind when it comes to his shin guards and a little bit
10:05of that also that he has in his belt, which again is the exact same one as the new Eternia.
10:10But when you get to all this extra gold here, I just feel like that's overkill.
10:14Don't worry though.
10:15You can easily just take this off.
10:17You just basically just move it up.
10:19Don't even really have to take Skeletor's head off either.
10:21Just kind of shimmy it forward and then just enough clearance.
10:24You can easily take the cape off.
10:26It's not attached to anything.
10:27Nothing at all.
10:28Nothing at all.
10:29It's not pegged under the back of his body.
10:31I mean, obviously, as you already saw how easy it was to remove.
10:34For me, I'm probably going to just end up leaving that off.
10:36And I feel like really with the throne and really Skeletor, there are a few things that
10:40while Mattel thought it was a good idea, I kind of think the opposite.
10:43And I might just kind of just choose to leave certain things off of the figures.
10:47Now, again, to go back and look at Skeletor's body, it's exactly the same, really, other
10:51than now they've got the gold.
10:53Why was there a need to add gold to Skeletor's body?
10:55Classic blue, classic purple works so much nicer, I feel, for the character.
10:59Somebody liked the gold.
11:00I'm not a big fan of it myself.
11:02Again, you've got the gold there on the top for the crossbones.
11:04You've got the gold down below here for the eagle.
11:06And it sort of does kind of look like a little...
11:08I guess it's supposed to be a serpent's head.
11:09And, of course, you've got the gold down below here.
11:12The blue, unfortunately, doesn't get...
11:13Well, the blue gets touched as well.
11:15If you look at the blue on Skeletor's, they're a little bit lighter.
11:18It's a little bit more pastel.
11:19And then they went also in there, and they airbrushed areas on Skeletor's body.
11:23So he's got it on his shoulders, on the back of his body, on the sides of his legs.
11:27Sort of just some random places, and in his stomach area as well.
11:31I guess the airbrushing isn't so bad of an idea.
11:34It's more, really, again, like the gold.
11:36So, Skeletor's head sculpt.
11:38Topic of discussion.
11:40Some may like that.
11:41Some may not like it.
11:41I actually think it's a pretty cool-looking head.
11:44To bring back in, like, the Keldor Skeletor from the origins.
11:47I definitely see there's some inspirational cues.
11:50It actually does really look a lot like Skeletor from the mini-comics as well.
11:54He's got much darker areas on the tops of his forehead.
11:57Much lighter down below here for his mouth.
11:59The mouth does actually open and close, too, which is kind of cool.
12:01Now, if you like this look of Skeletor, one thing that's kind of cool, too, is that you
12:06can take off the hood.
12:07The hood involves actually first detaching the head, and it kind of is just easier to
12:12get your thumb in there and just take, basically, the hood off.
12:15Take Skeletor's now unhooded head and just pop it back onto the ball joint.
12:20If you like the look of Skeletor without the hood, obviously this one might do it better
12:24for you.
12:26I mean, he's so classic, really, with the hood.
12:27I would really choose to have that on myself, but yeah, I mean, again, like, it's a good-looking
12:32Skeletor's head.
12:34It's colored really well, too.
12:36The tiny little pupils that are done all in red really make this stand out a lot more.
12:42I mean, Skeletor's traditionally known for having red eyes anyways, but we don't tend
12:46to have a Skeletor that looks this menacing.
12:49Again, just to get the hood back on his head.
12:51Again, we'll just pop the head back off.
12:54Bear with me here.
12:55Bear with me, and we'll just kind of get the head back in there.
12:57The only thing I will say, though, is unfortunately, by having a removable hood like this, the
13:02hood sits quite loose on Skeletor's head or on his face.
13:06I find myself a lot of times kind of going in there and kind of pushing the hood as far
13:09forward as I can.
13:10If you choose really not to ever have the hood off, you could always, I suppose, add a little
13:14bit of glue inside of that and just glue it permanently to Skeletor's face.
13:18Although you may want to make sure, of course, just decide whereabouts you want to have that
13:22really on his head before you glue things down.
13:24I think by having the hood moving like this, it does cause more, well, it draws more attention
13:30to the fact that Skeletor does have a forehead.
13:32Why are we talking so much about foreheads and five heads?
13:34But all in all, it's a good looking head to Skeletor.
13:36And again, there's the back of it.
13:40Same body, too, because also because of that, there's the slot there.
13:44He doesn't really technically come and glue with a sword, but if you want to use a sword
13:47borrowed over from another Skeletor, you can easily sheath it on the back of the figure's
13:51body.
13:51For the figure's articulation, Skeletor is going to be exactly the same as all the, well,
13:57for the most part, all the new Eternia figures.
13:59It's going to be on a ball joint, so it allows the head to rotate all the way around.
14:02It's going to look up and look down.
14:04And of course, you can move it back and forth.
14:05But while moving it, yeah, back and forth, the hood is going to move around quite often.
14:10I am really tempted to kind of glue that in there.
14:12I might, I might do that.
14:14I might glue it.
14:15I have no real plan to ever have Skeletor unhooded myself.
14:17I think I might just end up gluing it just so I can get it to the place where I want
14:21to have it, try to have it like far down low like this, just for me, like that's the way
14:26I really would want to have Skeletor.
14:27So his upper torso is going to be on a ball joint.
14:30The lower torso is on a waist swivel, although it's, it's really tight in the sky of the packaging.
14:35His arms can come out at 90 degrees or a T pose.
14:38If you prefer the arms move forward and move back.
14:42He has a swivel at the bicep.
14:44The figure does also have a double hinge on the elbow and the hands rotate all the way around.
14:47As for his legs, just get his arms back down there.
14:50There we go.
14:51There we go.
14:52His legs split up and because the skirting, the way it's designed, there's an open area
14:56on the sides.
14:56So it allows for not quite a full Van Damme, but you can easily get Skeletor in a good split
15:01pose, probably against his better wishes.
15:04Legs go forward, legs go back, three quarters of the way up the thigh.
15:08There's a swivel cut so you can rotate that leg all the way around.
15:11The figure does have a double hinge on the knee.
15:13He has articulation here, more so just for the fact that they attach the calf guard.
15:17The way that they did.
15:18So you can rotate that back and forth.
15:20Feet move up and down.
15:21Yeah.
15:21And again, like look at how much unnecessary airbrushed blue went onto the feet.
15:26I mean, again, like that's the original Skeletor's feet.
15:28The new one actually have, I feel too much blue.
15:31That's the one area I feel like I can get behind a little bit of the blue, but I feel
15:35like that's too much.
15:36That's like somebody that puts on spray tan and they don't realize that it's all over
15:39their hands.
15:40It's all over their feet.
15:42Not speaking from example, by the way, the ankles do move back and forth and the figure
15:46does have pebbles on the bombs of his feet.
15:48So not really, not, not a whole lot new when it comes to Skeletor.
15:51Essentially, again, using the exact same body, they've airbrushed a few new things.
15:55And of course, in this case, you get yourself a brand new head sculpt.
15:58Again, I don't like the hood being a removal.
16:00I, I like it in the sense that it gives you some options available, but I mean, in the long
16:05run, in the bigger picture, I feel like having a loosey floppy hood like that, I'm just going
16:09to have more frustrations trying to get Skeletor's face in a perfect place.
16:13Oh, I just realized I rhymed.
16:15So let's move Skeletor just off to the side here.
16:16Let's get a closer look at the throne.
16:19Now there's some extensive amounts of assembly, assembly that was required.
16:24Probably the first thing you may want to do though, is add the batteries.
16:27On the bottom of the display stand, a hollow, quite hollow right here.
16:31But if you look right here, there's a battery compartment.
16:33Unscrew this.
16:34It requires three AAA batteries.
16:36I've taken the liberty of already adding the AAA so we can see the lights.
16:39I was going to say lights and sounds, but just the light, light effects.
16:42What has to be assembled is that you have to take the torches.
16:45The torches themselves are fairly rubbery when it comes to flames, but basically those,
16:50if I can just, these are all, by the way, once you snap them in place, these are kind
16:54of parts where you feel like you're not going to be able to get them back off.
16:56Am I even going to be able to get this back off?
16:58Maybe I shouldn't even fight it just in case, but basically you put the torches over top
17:02of a light, there's bulbs on both sides and these are going to illuminate.
17:06You take this part right down below here that kind of looks like it's got beetle skulls.
17:10The main bottom base was already attached to the stairwell steps of the throne, but then
17:15you had to take the first seat.
17:17The seat had to wrap around this part of the seat before you snapped it in place, which
17:21again, I don't think I've got all the way on there.
17:24I have to go back and just force that a little bit more later.
17:27Basically, you just put yourself the first seat on.
17:28The whole back is all one piece.
17:30You have to add the skull and that just sits basically on a ball joint.
17:34And then you have to add the skull podiums on the back.
17:37There are the serpent podiums on the back.
17:39And then you have to take this piece and that just snaps in place.
17:42I rushed this all really along.
17:44It's not a super hard build.
17:46There's just a lot of parts that have to go together.
17:49One thing I don't really love, though, honestly, is these little things.
17:52I guess they're supposed to be the bottom half jaws of a big giant lizard, but they're
17:56very rubbery, though.
17:57They actually kind of look like lobster claws.
18:00If I was to do away with a couple of things on the throne, these probably would be the first
18:04things.
18:05I don't really like them myself.
18:07And again, I don't know how easy it's going to really be to detach these.
18:10These are, again, one of those things that once you snap them in place, you hear a
18:13well, you hear a snap sound.
18:15That's the kind of sound that tells you you're going to have a hard time really disassembling
18:19or taking these pieces off.
18:21It certainly, though, makes for a much busier looking throne.
18:23I mean, some may like the look of this.
18:26One thing, though, about this is that the skull on the top here, which, again, is on
18:29a ball joint, so you can move this back and forth.
18:31I do kind of wish that this was the same color as the rest of the throne.
18:34It really does stand out of place.
18:37It doesn't look like it really belongs with the rest of the throne because they colored
18:40it so differently.
18:41The rest of the throne, obviously, is all made up here of bones.
18:44Again, you can look at basically a video like this and sort of gauge for yourself.
18:48Hey, you know what?
18:49If I'm looking to get this and add it to my collection, what are the things that I don't
18:52like about the throne?
18:54What are the things that I do like?
18:55I think if I was to kind of look at this and start from scratch, now knowing I can't
19:00really disassemble the parts, I think what I might have just ended up doing was probably
19:04taking off, I guess, maybe like the back skull piece, like this part right here.
19:10You could take that off.
19:11It kind of looks like the back wing area, the back wings of the creature.
19:15I probably would have left that off.
19:17I definitely would have taken these pieces off on either side.
19:19I just think it's almost just like we need to add something just for the sake of it's
19:24a bone throne.
19:25Let's just add just random bones everywhere.
19:27I probably would have just chose to take these off and leave these off as probably the
19:31first thing I would have made the changes with.
19:33As for the way this lights up, so you've got yourself a little button right here.
19:37You depress it.
19:38Oh, by the way, there's also pegs right here so Skeletor can't plug his feet in place.
19:42But when you press this, these will illuminate.
19:45I didn't realize there was an off switch right away and I was thinking to myself, is this thing
19:48just going to go and continue to go until the batteries drain?
19:51But you have to hold it again to turn off the lights.
19:53So when you press it the first time, they illuminate in orange.
19:57And they will continue to illuminate.
19:59I had this thing actually going for about 10, 15 minutes and it flickers well.
20:03I mean, if you look at the actual flames themselves, fairly believable.
20:08I could look at that and think that they're flames glowing and press the button again.
20:11And now it's going to change the color.
20:13So it's going to change it more to a green.
20:15And you press it again.
20:18And one thing I do like is that it's not an immediate change either.
20:21As you saw, it slowly transitioned from the green now to like a purplish blue.
20:26You press it again.
20:28And now we kind of go back to an orangish pink.
20:31To turn this off though, again, you're going to hold the button.
20:33Don't just keep pressing it.
20:34You're not going to be accomplishing anything.
20:37Hold the button.
20:38And eventually, as you can see, the lights will extinguish.
20:41Then, of course, you can take yourself your Skeletor.
20:44Just bend his legs, bend his knees.
20:47I'm sure everybody knows, even if you don't have this figure, how a figure can sit inside of a seat.
20:52Just bring his arms up, plunk him down onto his seat.
20:56And if you choose, you can obviously just have the figure attached onto those pegs.
21:00I mean, he sits fine.
21:01It's not like he necessarily needs it.
21:02And if you happen to have his little kitty, not so little kitty,
21:05you can have then Panthor displayed along with Skeletor.
21:08Even though they didn't, again, incorporate that cardboard box as a way of displaying it.
21:13I mean, when you look at the thickness of the box and you think of the background behind it,
21:17as good as it may look, I just don't have the space for that.
21:20That also really increases as well the height of Skeletor.
21:22So if you're looking to have figures displayed around him,
21:26I think you're probably going to have...
21:27I'd rather have all of them sort of at eye level.
21:31Eye level for Skeletor.
21:32I wouldn't want to have Skeletor really high to the top.
21:35So again, we'll just kind of move him back.
21:37Let's bring in back some of the characters here.
21:39So we've got Merman.
21:40Merman didn't make the appearance earlier, but we'll kind of bring him in.
21:43We'll bring him in right now.
21:44Just bang the light.
21:45There's Triclops.
21:46We'll just put Triclops off to the side.
21:47Let's also bring in Trapjaw.
21:50I don't know really what Evil Lynn is doing right now, but it's a nice looking set.
21:54I feel like in some of the cases, both with Skeletor and the throne,
21:56they went excessively busy when they didn't really need to.
22:00I guess the beauty of this, though, is that you can choose exactly how much you want to add to the throne,
22:04or how much for that matter you really want to add to Skeletor.
22:07Skeletor, while I like the look of the cape, what I don't really like, though,
22:10is that they added all this additional gold.
22:12Not a big fan of it myself.
22:14You may be able to even go in there and try to take some of the gold off with the paint.
22:17But being that it is molded all in gold plastic, obviously that's not really going to happen.
22:21So I probably would just end up choosing to leave that off altogether.
22:24Have Skeletor sort of more just in his defaulted body,
22:27which, again, is basically just using the new Eternia body,
22:30just with a brand new different head sculpt.
22:32I wouldn't say necessarily it's a Malibu Stacey case,
22:35where they're just giving her a sun hat, or in this case, Skeletor, a brand new head.
22:39The head, I think, at least on its own, is justified picking up this set.
22:42Some may not even want, really, the thrones,
22:44and only really are getting this with the idea of getting this new Skeletor.
22:48The head sculpt looks good, although, again, it's finicky,
22:50because it's sitting inside of a loose hood.
22:52I'm probably just going to choose.
22:53I know glue is not really the word we want to be using along when it comes to collectors like this,
22:58but I think I would rather just probably glue the head inside the hood
23:01and get the hood in the place that I want it.
23:03The idea of having a hoodless Skeletor is never an idea I would ever have
23:06when displaying something like this on my collection shelf.
23:09The Master's Universe new Eternia Skeletor and Throne
23:11is something that commands a fair bit of space on your part.
23:14But if you have the space available, it's quite an imposing piece.
23:17To the space requirements, obviously, you can choose for yourself
23:20whether you want to use the box piece.
23:22I mean, to think outside the box, it was clever that Mattel found a way that,
23:26I mean, for most times, obviously, if you're going to be putting things together,
23:29you're only going to be throwing stuff like that inside of a recycling bag
23:32that then they make you kind of think for a second,
23:34well, you know, that box does also have a background diorama,
23:37and you can have Skeletor a little bit higher up.
23:40Preferably, though, I would like to have Skeletor more at eye reach,
23:43slapping reach to all his cronies around him.
23:45I'm never really going to find myself using the box,
23:47because, first of all, I'm just going to add even more space
23:49on top of the fleeting space that I have in my collection.
23:51I'm going to choose just to probably put that in the recycling bag instead.
23:56The figure does have varying degrees of excessive things added,
24:00excessive ideas created on Mattel's part.
24:02Skeletor, first of all, I don't think I ever really need to have gold.
24:05Now, the gold, I guess, is the argument could be made.
24:08The gold incorporates some of the gold that he also has on the back of his throne,
24:11with those little serpent cane holders.
24:14Are we going to call them that?
24:15But the staff holders, those are in gold.
24:18Of course, you've got the serpent staff.
24:19That's also in gold.
24:20So it brings some of that gold over to the Skeletor's figure,
24:23but I honestly don't think.
24:24I mean, nothing beats the classic colors of the blue and the purple.
24:27I honestly don't think Skeletor needed that.
24:30I would almost even, like, think if the cape part didn't have any gold,
24:34and let's just say it was molded in purple plastic instead,
24:36I probably would be more interested in the idea of having that on Skeletor's body.
24:40With the amount of gold that they use,
24:42and the fact that they molded it all in that color,
24:45I'm never going to find myself ever displaying that with a character.
24:48It's just too much.
24:48It's just too much.
24:49And speaking of too much, the throne, while it's a nice-looking piece,
24:53I feel like there are a few things that I probably would have, in hindsight,
24:56chose to leave off.
24:57The throne's that, the little bone pieces that he has sticking on the sides,
25:00the bottom jaw pieces, almost kind of looks like a Tyrannosaurus's jaw.
25:05I personally probably would have just left that off altogether.
25:08When you get so busy like this,
25:09there's too much that your eye has to focus in on,
25:13when really, instead, you should be focusing on the subject of Skeletor.
25:17What do you guys think of the new Eternia Skeletor with throne?
25:20Let me know down below in the comment section
25:21if you've had the chance to pick this one up.
25:23If you have the space to pick up a piece like this.
25:26I did actually order this one online.
25:28Good luck even finding this thing in the wild.
25:30It was about $60 or so dollars US, obviously.
25:33And then when, of course, you do the shipping, the conversion,
25:36this set me back a little more over the $100 price.
25:39For that, I think it's a good looking piece,
25:41but I feel like maybe it's a little too busy in certain aspects.
25:44You guys agree with me or disagree with me?
25:46Let me know what you guys think of it down below in the comment section.
