00:00 Take me out for some hot dogs.
00:03 Alright!
00:05 I'm standing here in Fairfield, Connecticut
00:08 at Rawley's Drive-In.
00:11 You know, you can't spell "Rawley" without "raw."
00:15 And you can't be hot-dogging without going raw-dogging.
00:19 So we're here at Rawley's.
00:21 A market store.
00:23 She said once that this is the best thing she ever ate.
00:28 And this place has been here for like 75 years.
00:32 It's an institution.
00:34 While I'm here, I'm going to be judge.
00:38 My style.
00:40 See if these hot dogs are worthy of the tank.
00:43 They're worthy of Martin Stewart.
00:45 But have they passed my test? Not yet.

02:02 - Medium diet, no ice, okay.

02:10 All right, Raleigh's has been here since 1947.
02:21 You know, they're an institution here in Fairfield,
02:24 not far off I-95, and they use Humboldt Brother hot dogs.
02:29 And since we're in New England,
02:32 they use the New England style hot dog bun,
02:36 nicely toasted on the outside.
02:38 And the bun to dog ratio is quite good.
02:42 And kind of like a ripper,
02:46 we got the skin peeling from the oil,
02:50 but let's see how the hot dog actually tastes.
02:52 Very good hot dog.
03:17 I'm gonna give this hot dog a solid triple.
03:22 All right, now here's their chili dog, chili and cheese.
03:31 Now the cheese they use kind of looks like a sliced cheese,
03:35 which I'm not always particularly fond of.
03:38 The first shred it or the cheese whizz,
03:43 but it maintains well under all, it's not too sloppy,
03:46 not too over the place.
03:49 So let's see how this actually tastes.
03:51 It's a decent spicy chili, not too, too spicy,
04:08 not too bland.
04:09 I'm gonna give the chili dog a double.
04:16 Very good double, in fact, it's a ground rule double.
04:19 Could have been a triple, but bounced over the fence.
04:22 Now here's their fries, which look very good.
04:25 Fries are very good.
04:27 Fresh cut fries, always, always,
04:30 always good if you cook them well.
04:32 They really excel.
04:35 Yeah, these fries are terrific.
04:40 I'm giving these fries an 8.3.
