00:00Packed with gore and a whole lot more. Here's a look at the super action stuff
00:04casket of cruelty action figure accessories.
00:18Create your very own bloodbath with the casket of cruelty action figure
00:22accessories. The set includes 30 accessories in half scale for six to
00:25seven inch scale figures. Includes a full-size half scale casket, an armory of
00:29post-apocalyptic weapons, and plenty of blood action effects. Maybe before we get
00:34down to the decapitated details of the casket of cruelty, let's grab the tape
00:37measure and see how tall the actual casket stands. The Happy Cat Industries
00:41super action stuff casket of cruelty is available through various online sites.
00:45I just happen to have ordered this over on Entertainment Earth and the asking
00:48price was about $35. For $35 you're getting at least a plastic casket that
00:52has removable lid. Not to mention all again the gory details of all the other
00:55things that come included with it as well. From the standpoint of the casket
00:58it actually stands at seven and a quarter inches in height or it's going
01:01to be about 18 centimeters tall. While I may have been initially reeled into the
01:06concept of having gory effects attached on to my figures, one good thing at least
01:10about the set is that includes a plastic casket. The casket itself is made of
01:15decent enough plastic. It's nicely printed there as well to kind of give
01:18you the look that it's made of wood and it does have a removable lid. One thing
01:22unfortunately was dashed right away because I had big plans for this. Not
01:25necessarily for Dracula but for this killer of Camp Crystal Lake. I was
01:29hoping at the very least I'd be able to store Jason inside and while most
01:32figures fit, Jason unfortunately does not. I have to kind of really rub the top of
01:37his head to fit him inside the casket. I suppose if you wanted to you could have
01:41Jason somewhat kind of sitting up from the casket and again at least that it's
01:45plastic I feel like already I'm getting some value out of this. Bringing in some
01:49other figures as well for comparison's sake. Let's bring in the deceased Super
01:53Girl. The deceased Super Girl fits in fine. I mean again she's a good size. I feel
01:57like if you're getting figures and around this size they should fit in fine
02:00the casket. Here's the ultimate for example evil dead Bruce Campbell or Ash
02:05obviously and he sits again already inside but he's clearly also shorter
02:10than Jason Voorhees so he's not you know he's gonna clear it at least inside. Not
02:13that you necessarily would want to display Ash Williams inside of a casket.
02:16I'm sure he's not gonna enjoy that at all. So at least the casket is good
02:19although I do honestly wish it was a little bit longer to accommodate figures
02:22like say a Jason Voorhees and you know again like part four is not maybe the
02:26best Jason as an example. Part six would probably be the better example but even
02:30then any figure after this size right here is already not gonna fit. The casket
02:34I feel should have maybe just been a little bit longer but really the idea in
02:37mind is that they all accommodate six to seven inch scale figures. Of the other
02:41things that come in clear with this okay again you got some weapons, you got some
02:44gore effects as well. Some of the things that were involving some assembly is
02:48that you get yourself a crossbow. The crossbow basically comes in two parts. By
02:52the way there are no instructions at all with the casket of Cruelty and also
02:55you may have noticed at the beginning of this review as well that there was all
02:58this additional I don't want to say unnecessary packing paper all shredded
03:02inside. I'm fine for that but with having some of the pieces like the eyeballs
03:07did you just say eyeballs but some of the eyeballs like for example being the
03:10smallest of the accessories I was really worried that as I was pulling out all
03:14this confetti that some of the smaller parts may ultimately have been thrown in
03:17recycling and it kind of fished through everything. So I think while I'm fine
03:21with the idea that they would have had everything with packing shredded
03:25paper I think really then all the accessories should have also been packed
03:28inside baggies just to ensure that you're not gonna be throwing anything
03:31out in the process. But you get basically two halves of the crossbow you get the
03:35main of course I guess the part that actually stretches back that all you do
03:39is basically there's a little tab opening here and then you just fit this
03:42over the front frame of this and it snaps in place. So a little crossbow
03:46along with that though you also get yourself a couple of arrows. You get two
03:49variations of arrow one is still pretty clean it has yet been used the other one
03:54as you can see has been broken off with already the start of what will be a
03:57whole bloody adventure. You can see there's a little bit of dripping blood
04:01down below here. The way they've handled the blood is actually nice it sort of
04:04has I guess like a gelatin look to it it's like translucent a very bright red
04:09and again like you have two different arrows that you can display. The set
04:13also comes included with a nail gun. I will admit though while the set has sort
04:18of questionable choices for what they like the SWAT shield for example I would
04:22never end up finding myself a way of displaying that. Now just because I don't
04:25plan to display them ever with the SWAT shields for any one of my figures doesn't
04:29mean though it's not a welcomed accessory to come included with this.
04:32The thing that I would be more interested in for example is like a nail gun. That
04:35looks good. Granted there is no nails that come out
04:38to that I mean if they had included say for example a couple of firing nail
04:41pieces that could have projected out the front of it that would have been nice
04:44but you can at least get yourself a nail gun. From a handle standpoint let's go
04:48back and grab Ash here only just because he's one of the figures that have a
04:51gripping hand and the grips for some of these aren't so bad like for example if
04:56you want to take like the nail gun it fits okay in his hand providing I had to
05:00like kind of stretch the plastic just a little bit but he holds it okay maybe he
05:05was going all about this the wrong way instead of wielding a chainsaw maybe hey
05:08should have had it should have a nail gun instead but the nail gun again nicely
05:12that's one of the better looking accessories I have to admit that come
05:15included with this things that I'm not as you know honestly interested in is
05:19like the cricket bat a cricket bat first of all I feel is way too thick it is a
05:23little deformed on the end you can see there's quite a bit of blood all
05:26saturated on the front of it the way they've actually got these little
05:29indentations it looks a little bit like Swiss cheese a big block of swinging
05:33Swiss cheese it's okay but again like I have no plans for this but just because
05:38again like I have no interest in it doesn't mean that it's not a worthy
05:41accessory it does also come included with a samurai sword a katana if you
05:45will wakazashi also I think for the length of blade obviously I think
05:49probably would say it's more of a katana and there's also a swooshing effect
05:52there's a canal right here right through here that you just take the end of the
05:57sword and just guide it all the way through and then you got yourself a
06:01little swoosh effect don't swing that too far because honestly though the
06:06little swing effects or all the little blood pieces that attach on to the
06:09blades they don't stay on super securely you can see they're using some
06:13translucent plastic for this case but it does look good just don't be careful
06:17don't swing it too far because it's gonna come off very easily there's also
06:20again a few little blood effects that also have sort of the same idea you just
06:25slide these on to the ends of the blades and some work a little bit better than
06:28others so like for example you want to have this one there's also a slightly
06:32smaller version of that which this one honestly doesn't fit as well which I
06:35think it more so belongs with some of the other accessories instead but all
06:39basically work the exact same way you also get yourself a machete which I just
06:43happen to have Jason wielding from what the 2009 remake of Friday 13th he was
06:47carrying that around at the beginning of this review you can already see he's been
06:50busy there's a bit of blood there on the bottom there and again like if you
06:53wanted to you could take the same effect that we looked at from before that just
06:56attaches on the end of it you could attach it that way you could attach it
06:59this way if I suppose it was swinging this way but either way it attaches just
07:03on to the end of the blade looks good I saw again translucency of the red there
07:08that's a that's a healthy blood I believe also to come included with this
07:12while we're still sticking with weapons comes included with the chainsaw now the
07:15chainsaw I did have at the beginning in the hands of ash again the handles are
07:19fairly thick but he still was able to accommodate it again it just fits into
07:23his hand like that there is also again like if you want to use the little clip
07:28on a pieces that works also as well with the chainsaw the thing that's also neat
07:32about this is that the chainsaw piece actually comes in two parts when you get
07:36it out of the packaging it it comes in this piece and it comes in this piece
07:39the reasoning why it's separate like this is that there's also this buzzsaw
07:42blade and that just fits on the end of it but that'd be a jigsaw blade that's a
07:47pretty devastating blade either way again it looks like it's been quite
07:51generously used it's a bit of blood there on the end of it I say bits I mean
07:54like that's exaggerating look look at the amount of blood that's all across
07:57the blade and that all is just a case of just detaching it so again it just comes
08:01off like this and there's a little square peg hole there that just
08:04accommodates the square peg on the other side just plugs in like that so
08:08again you can either have it displayed like the buzzsaw blade or if you want
08:11you can also go back and revert back to the chain the chainsaw blade so we'll
08:15just put those off to the side as well again come right into the more
08:18territory of the things I'm less interested in you got yourself a pair of
08:21boxing gloves these would just fit over like do we have a figure right now to
08:25work with let's just go back I mean ash has a stump anyways if you wanted to it
08:29wouldn't work as really well with with ash you really would want to really
08:32remove the hands for example and then the boxing glove would fit over top of
08:36that can I do that with ash let's see if I can carefully carefully remove the
08:40hands there we go for a second I thought it broke it and I realized the pegs on
08:44the other it's on the end of his form so like if you wanted to just take the
08:48boxing glove fits it over his hand I mean maybe not the best idea for you
08:51know sparring even though I just dropped it sparring maybe with dead eyes maybe
08:55that the best idea that he's had but it does fit over top of the existing
08:58forearms of most figures let's put the hand back on before I lose it so there
09:03we go and one of the other things that comes included in the category of less
09:07interested get yourself a nice stick it's a pretty chunky nightstick may not
09:12work necessarily as well with like ash may not work either with like a Jason
09:15Voorhees but hey why not you if you wanted to display with a Marvel Legends
09:18figure six to seven inch scale that's basically within the scale that we're
09:22working with it may not work well like for example if you had like a judge
09:25dread of the high toys variety way too small if you had like a like a six scale
09:3012 inch tall figure it's not gonna work either with that it's kind of like you
09:32really want to stick with six to seven inches the set also comes included with
09:36an axe what I think the axe is pretty decent it's looking like it's cast here
09:40in all gold plastic the blade itself be careful I don't draw my own blood the
09:45blade itself has been done here in silver with a little bit of air brushing
09:48of a darker color added in there as well and again like the handles are all
09:52pretty much the same size so if you find yourself a figure that can accommodate
09:55like the cricket bat then you're pretty much gonna find the same size scale of
09:59figure that's also gonna be able to wield around an axe also get yourself a
10:03riot shield not all that interested really with the idea of right right
10:07shield for me now they've done actually a couple of sets of these if you did
10:11want to check out more by the way you can go to www.superactionstuff.com but
10:15they've actually done a couple of different not casket sets but different
10:19add-on accessories for action figures I feel like there's one that actually has
10:22like bullet firing effects that go on the end of the guns I feel like a riot
10:27shield may belong more to the category of that and less to the category of
10:31casualty casket of cruelty I just don't feel like this really rightfully
10:36belongs in a set that's majority more just like weapons to inflict damage on
10:42others I just don't feel like the right shield belongs in that space what I do
10:46feel like belongs in this space is again all these additional blood effects
10:49depending on how you really are whether you're a talented figure photographer
10:53for example or you just like to have really gory looking diorama sets you get
10:57all these cool little blood effects now the opener of this review jokingly I
11:01sort of did use myself ET for this this is basically like if somebody was
11:04vomiting vomiting blood that's quite gruesome
11:07ET was basically one I just used just because he you know he was a good size
11:11for that without having to get them down on their knees literally I mean what
11:16doesn't really line up necessarily to their face just basically put it
11:19pretty close to ET's face so it looks like he's barfing up blood that's that's
11:24lovely you get also a couple of additional fun things like for example a
11:28dripping heart I'm guessing this to be a heart there's a peg right here that I
11:33don't think belongs to anything one of the things to it as I may have already
11:36mentioned if I didn't already mention I'll mention it now there's no
11:39instructions at all so you really have to just use your imagination and guess
11:42to where these things are supposed to go you get yourself a dripping heart for
11:45example nicely painted I did this side I think to use this at the beginning of
11:49review with using predator yeah that's right I had the predator holding the
11:53heart in his hand I think it made the most sense obviously again you can use
11:56it with any one of your figures again you got that translucency of the red of
12:00the blood down below a nicely painted heart there on the top as well it almost
12:04looks as if this is supposed to be held like this is supposed to grip in
12:08someone's hand I tried to do that again with the only example I was having at
12:11the time with ash but it doesn't really look like it belongs like it doesn't
12:15look like it's supposed to clip on the end and yet it looks like it's supposed
12:17to there's also as well a brain brains which I did have in the hand of the
12:23deceased Supergirl but again you can use it for whatever really you want you can
12:28also to double up these things too as well so if you wanted to add like the
12:32blood effect onto the above on the bottom of the brain for example like
12:35this is blown out the back of someone's head you could do that as well you get
12:38all these effects and one of the smallest things which again goes back to
12:42the whole idea like why would they have used packing paper to store these things
12:45literally like if you open up the casket all these things are loose inside
12:49these things like eyeballs for example should have really been carefully packed
12:53inside of bags get two eyeballs I mean normal people for the most part have two
12:57eyeballs I don't think I've met anyone that has three eyeballs but you get two
13:01of these I actually had them in between the fingers of Supergirl because I
13:04thought that just worked worked well if you did also and we're going to talk a
13:07little bit more about this in a moment if you had like Mac tack sticky tack you
13:11could also stick this in the sockets of an eyeball of like a zombie for example
13:15I just I think I used the beginning of Bubba and you could just put a little
13:18bit of Mac tack in the eyeballs let's just actually know what where is he's
13:21right over here bringing in him him in if you had some sticky tack you could
13:26really put then the eyeballs into that I mean there's no other way really to
13:29attach any of these effect pieces you have to then use some sticky tack one of
13:33the things too that they also advertise is that they have they sell standalone
13:37wax like a little adhesive wax that you just basically put on the figure where
13:41you want to put these effects and then you would just stick the pieces onto
13:43them they're not permanent you don't have to commit to the idea if you change
13:46your mind down the road you want to move those things somewhere else you can I
13:49feel like almost if anything they should have up sold just including a little bit
13:54of wax give the collectors give the customers a chance to kind of experience
13:58what that wax would be like and then from there you know they could always
14:01purchase more down the road but I feel like some wax should have really been
14:04included because all the other things that we're gonna be looking at really
14:07then were involved having used sticky tack that you can have to purchase on
14:10your own so you get all these like I said we keep going back to these
14:13we get these blast effects you get two of these and this is basically the exit
14:18wounds quite seriously damaging exit wounds these would basically attach on
14:23to figures bodies strangely though that this one has more like a recessed hole
14:27almost as if it belongs on either someone's on the top of their head or
14:30the end of their forearm other than I can't really understand why they would
14:34put such a hole like this on the bottom of it in both cases though this one's a
14:37little bit more flat but they're actually molded again in that again kind
14:41of gelatinous red translucent plastic one thing I really like not that one
14:46looks like a face but they've got these little chunks of skin and flesh and all
14:50the things that we blasted out of your body if you ever got hit by something I
14:54think that's a nice little touch you also get as well a few of the more
14:57little small splattered pieces you also get well again like variations of that
15:03so they're just of different shapes they're kind of like gorier versions of
15:07the butt of snowflakes just the fact that each one of them look different
15:10from one another that's really that's kind of dark isn't it a little dark so
15:14you get these and then you also get a few exit wounds explosions as well so
15:19basically if someone's being shot you also get a slightly smaller version of
15:22that basically all of this can only be accomplished if you have yourself some
15:25sticky tack I have myself and I've been kind of using this off and on throughout
15:29my the series of my reviews I've got this on or on Amazon and basically all
15:33it is is like it comes in a roll like this although it's kind of picked up
15:37some of the plastics and styrofoam all around my floor here but basically you
15:40just pull off a piece that you want to use you stick it on to the end of
15:44whatever blast effect you want to use and then you would just take your figure
15:47of course again you want to use and you just stick that on the end you know it's
15:51somewhat successful I would imagine it even be more successful if you use the
15:54wax that was provided with us or that the company is also producing but it
15:58gives you a somewhat realistic look if you are one that again likes a gorier
16:01looking diorama this fits the bill rather nicely and again you can rinse
16:05and repeat you just want you know you want to add like say for example the
16:09only problem of using this a couple of times is that it starts to lose it it
16:12it's adhesiveness but basically if you just want to take yourself you know
16:16let's grab let's grab another piece while Jason certain sitting there
16:19wondering why he's been shot we'll just grab ourselves another piece though of
16:22the sticky tack I got myself like a whole roll of this I can't remember what
16:26I paid for probably like ten or so dollars on Amazon probably was even less
16:29than that but you basically just take your pieces one thing I do really like
16:33about using clear is even though I've used too much that's I mean admittingly
16:37that's way too much that I really needed if I used a smaller piece obviously the
16:41illusion of this looking like just a gorier exit wound would look a little
16:44more believable but again like you just rinse and repeat you'd add the effects
16:48there on the shoulders for example you could put it on the side of his head any
16:51which way but again I mean when you're looking at them they sort of have kind
16:54of a desired idea that they have to work a certain way especially these ones this
16:58one for example you could kind of have like a wound there across his chest or
17:02around his stomach area if he was slashed you could also do this as well
17:05not necessarily even looking at the killers either I mean if you had say for
17:09example people sometimes when they customize or they do figure photography
17:12they try to find fodder through other figures or other figure companies that
17:16have produced sort of more just citizen characters you can hey you'll have why
17:19not Jason swinging around say one of the included machetes for example give the
17:24where's the old effect piece we'll just take that and slide it onto the blade so
17:28you can give that Jason in one of his hands and then if you had say a
17:31citizen or someone running away a victim of Jason you have them running
17:35away and then you just basically add the blast effects all these gory effects
17:38just onto their bodies so there's fun things that you can do with it but the
17:42question really boils down to is it worth $34.99 I think from the standpoint
17:47if this was cardboard and the lid as well would be cardboard I think right
17:51there I would have said I probably would have gone more to the $25 price point I
17:55don't think it would have been worth the additional $10 on top of that being that
17:59this though is plastic and that the lid is removable gives you at least already
18:02one thing that you can do with it some of these don't really work as much for
18:06my collection space but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're not worth
18:09picking up like for example the riot shield can't even see myself ever really
18:13using the riot shield but again like I'm more in the collection space of getting
18:17horror figures and putting them on display if you add like Marvel Legends
18:20for example or if you have like a 6 to 7 inch even though that's not 6 to 7 inch
18:25if you had a 6 to 7 inch scale action figure line that were like police
18:28officers or guards for example you could use something like this things like for
18:32example the crossbow never would be something I would ever really use maybe
18:35the axe I might maybe decide to display one of my figures with the axes but like
18:39some of the the accessories are pick and choose boxing gloves I would never really
18:43end up seeing myself using them I think more the mileage for me at least and
18:46again only from the standpoint of this person a collector is things like the
18:50chainsaw I can see myself using the chainsaw even if not for ash I could
18:53probably use it for another character I could even then swap it out for like a
18:56buzzsaw blade I could use the nail gun for sure I think that's one of the
18:59better-looking accessories and I do like the idea that they gave you slash
19:02effects and all these blast effects some of them don't work as well some of them
19:06really use need to use a stronger adhesive just because like these larger
19:10ones for example they fall off way too frequently unless you have a stronger
19:13adhesive sticking them on to the characters body or hey why not you could
19:16also really have Jason like lay lying down for example being shot up by
19:19someone above him I mean the sky's the limit it really is only boiling down to
19:23your personal preference and your creativity when it comes to displaying
19:25these I mean even though it's a little sick of a thought you can also have even
19:28ET barfing up blood the again like it's only really up to how you like to display
19:33your figures if you are a figure photographer or you just like one that
19:36likes to have very elaborate looking displays it's a nice set I think for
19:41$35 I would probably have maybe marked it down more to a $30 price point but at
19:46least it does come with a plastic plastic plastic casket that's kind of
19:51hard to put those two words together like I said I did get this set over on
19:55Entertainment Earth so if you guys are interested to get this for yourself it
19:58is available as of right now I think it is still available this also again has
20:0220 I think 26 gruesome accessories 11 weapons and again you've got some some
20:07gore effects added in there as well so I think there's mileage to be made I think
20:11admittingly honestly I think they may have beefed up some of the set to ask
20:15maybe for the asking price of what they were selling it for by throwing in maybe
20:18things again that I don't think rightfully belong necessarily to the
20:21casket of cruelty the swatch shield I don't think it's really one I mean yeah
20:25maybe you could probably get a little bit more out of the idea of using the
20:28the cricket bat some of them I would never ever really use but what I would
20:31end up definitely using though is all these gore effects I think that's a nice
20:35little way of beefing up the way you're displaying your figures currently have
20:38you picked up though the casket of cruelty let me know down below in the
20:41comments section and have you been using it displaying with your figures this
20:45isn't by the way the only thing that super action stuff has been doing they've
20:49also produced a couple of other add-on accessory sets one thing one that I'm
20:52kind of really interested in getting is like the ammunition set I don't know if
20:56that's the actual term for it but it has basically all the firing bullets it has
20:59all the things that go along with bullets I think that would be a nice set
21:02to get but being a big horror fan I had to start things first with the casket of
21:06cruelty this is an indeed dark way of wrapping up a review Jason emerging from
21:11his casket dwellings only be slashed away by a severed hand Ash Williams well
21:16apparently ETS given up all hopes of returning home and just decided instead
21:19to barf up blood now these are only just the figures I chose for wrapping up the
21:24review I can't even look at this and take this seriously this is what I
21:27decided to use at least for the figure examples I had I mean obviously I could
21:30have brought in other figures like Marvel Legends for example Marvel
21:33Engines being of that 6 to 7 inch scale if you did want a more gorier action
21:37scene between like the heroes and the villains obviously a set like this may
21:42make to a more darker display but a fun way to also accent and just kind of
21:46bring more to the table than just having your figures display displayed on their
21:50own some figures work a little bit better than others I mean I mean looking
21:53at this I never would really display my shelf doing this but it was really the
21:58shortest figure I could find because if not for that I mean the blood splatter
22:02of having the blood coming out of the mouth would just not have worked unless
22:05I had the knees bent on a figure ET just unfortunately just to the virtue of being
22:09the shortest one I have in my collection I probably could have done it with elf
22:12too just something about malmachians barfing up blood he probably should have
22:15stayed away from eating cats again if you guys are interested to get this one
