00:00Healthy Charles Haley today. Haley wants to be that pass rusher, that disruptive force that the Cowboys need.
00:08But Johnson told us yesterday his biggest fear is that the Jets will run the ball, control the ball on offense, and keep his high-powered offense off the field.
00:17The New York Jets come in with an 8-5 mark, a very important game for them.
00:21They are involved in a playoff hunt along with either Miami and Buffalo, Houston and Kansas City.
00:26So they really need a victory today to keep pace with the competition.
00:30They have won six of their last seven, but Bruce Coslett says their team has to play at the very edge of its capability to win today.
00:38Now they've played terrific on defense so far, but they've had real offensive problems.
00:42I would say real offensive problems. No touchdowns in two and a half games.
00:47A lot of that has to do with the weather that they've played in, but a lot of it also has to do with a change of the mindset.
00:53Boomer Siason told me yesterday that the Jets feel a lot more confident running the ball, and that's because of Johnny Johnson.
01:00The big fullback from Phoenix now is a force on this football team.
01:04He is to the New York Jets what Emmitt Smith is to the Dallas Cowboys.
01:08For the Jets to win today, Johnson has to have an Emmitt Smith-like day.
01:14For a mid-December afternoon in New York, not at all a bad day. 41 degrees.
