00:39Yes, his mother's obviously had a word with him not to swear on camera.
00:43But he really is very upset and justifiably so.

00:47And Gavin Python made a big mistake there.
00:49Locking up and punching the back of him and both of them in the gravel.
00:52He was leading, of course, but several cars will go past him as he rejoins.

00:58Into the Honda barrier in his Honda Racing Civic.
01:01Couldn't get much closer than Morrison got to the back of Thompson's car.
01:04But here comes Muller.
01:05Muller down the inside.
01:06Oh, he hits him and he takes them both onto the grass.
01:09To pick up the pieces if anyone makes a mistake.
01:11Down into Panic and Warren Hughes has gone for the inside line this time.
01:14Oh, they touch on the turn into Panic.
01:15They're both sideways into the gravel goes Ivan Muller.
01:19He's got it back out again.
01:20So up through Sertiz they come, up towards Clearways.
01:23And Matt Neody, oh, he's hit the back of O'Neill's car.
01:25And Matt Neody's got through.
01:27He's taken the lead on the last corner.
01:29Oh, and Hughes has gone off.
01:30That was a very late lunge.
01:32There was half a chance up the inside.
01:34Matt went for it.
01:35There was contact.
01:36Well held by Paul.
01:37And Matt got through.
01:38I think that's touring car racing, really.
01:40He had to go for it.
01:41And poor old Warren Hughes gets nothing after a great race.
01:45And then they came out of Panic Hill.
01:46Bent up towards the hairpin at Druids.
01:48Remember, Bennett goes off for some reason here.

01:51Oh, and he's gone off straight in front of Gavin Piper.

01:56Meanwhile, on board.
01:57Oh, and Turkington's hit Chris Ryan.

02:25James just touches the back of Turkington's car.
02:28He initially controls it very well, but he's straightening the car up.
02:31He accidentally tags Thompson, and that spears him off into the tyres.
02:35He saw some sunlight glimpsing on the lights and thought they'd changed.
02:39Oh, and into the collard, that is.
02:41Collard's is gone.
02:42So, oh, he slams into Hughes.
02:44And Anthony Reid, as well, has gone with him on.
02:46There's another car that gets hit right at the end of all that.
02:49My goodness, that was a huge impact.
02:51There's the car of Rob Collard, the privateer, the man who leads the independent category.

02:57Yeah, just in the background, there's a bit of congestion.
03:00Gavin Piper and Collard touch as Collard moves across the road.
03:04And he's a passenger then.
03:05The car spins round, straight back across, slams into the side of Warren Hughes.
03:09And Anthony Reid and Jim Edwards Jr., the innocent bystanders in that.
03:14This is Warren Hughes.
03:16Wait for the impact.
03:17Oh, that was a big impact, wasn't it?
03:20I think he'll be very glad.
03:21That's 125 miles an hour.
03:23That is ever so quick.
03:25Oh, that Neil's got it.

03:31Let's take a look back at what happened to Phil Bennett here, Tim.
03:34Yeah, Tom Chilton's got completely sideways off in front.
03:37And Bennett's tried to go through and just clip the front of him.
03:42Now, another view from Tom Chilton.
03:44Cold rear tyres and the car gets sideways.
03:46But Tom corrects it.
03:47But poor old Phil Bennett has nowhere to go and tags him really hard.
03:52And now it's becoming a three-way battle.
03:54Turkington in the middle.
03:55Morrison nearest us.
03:56O'Neill.
03:57Oh, they make contact at the beckets.
03:58Morrison goes for a spin.
03:59He's out across the gravel.
04:01Oh, nearly puts it up over onto its side.
04:04Gets it back together.
04:05Look, that's allowed Matt Neil to get past both Turkington and O'Neill.
04:09Let's take another look at it.
04:10On board with Paul O'Neill, who's clearly up the left.
04:13Then gets banged by Turkington,
04:15who's been banged in turn by Morrison,
04:17trying to turn in and claim all of the road.
04:19Well, that was radiator coolant leaking on the floor.
04:22We're on board with Kei.
04:23On his right is Paul O'Neill, who moves across,
04:25cuts him off and then backs it in front of him
04:28and slams into the side of him.
04:30The racing line really funnels down.
04:32You can see turning into the hairpin.
04:34It's all go there as one of the Vauxhalls gets tipped into a half spin.
04:38And Tom Chilton runs wide off the racing line.
04:41It's very slippery on the racing line.
04:43It's very close for comfort.
04:45Now, this was O'Neill and Eves got in front of him
04:47and then O'Neill ran into the back of him
04:49and Eves hit Carl Brees, his teammate.
04:51Yeah, then Rob Collard was alongside him.
04:53Let's just see what happened into Yenward, turning in.

04:57Well, lost a bit of time, lost a position,
04:59but he's going to get that position back,
05:00by the look of it.
05:01He's up the inside of Muller, he hits him,
05:03turning into the chap, the kerb.
05:04Morrison wants to win this second race.
05:06He's going around the outside into the chicane
05:08and he's got in front.
05:09Oh, he's right across the grass, trying to get in front,
05:11but he has got in front.
05:12Oh, and look at the marker post,
05:14just disappearing straight away on the first lap.

05:18He's in trouble as they turn into the left-hander.

05:30Bentwood, he comes as they come through.

05:34He's made contact with Bentwood!
05:35Bentwood spins, hits him as well,
05:37and into the wall as Boardman tries to recover.
05:39Gets it pointed straight,
05:41but Bentwood has gone pretty heavily into that concrete wall,
05:44and that was a pretty hefty hit.
05:46He certainly didn't do it all on his own there.
05:48Boardman just tucks into the rear there,
05:50just turns him round,
05:52and there's nothing much that Bentwood can do about it.
05:54He's heading for the wall.
05:55Well, the Persian gets away with it,
05:58but that's a heavy impact for the BMW.

06:05You've got Bullitt and his teammate Paul O'Neill just in front.
06:08Paul O'Neill hits the inside kerb,
06:10jumps out and knocks Bullitt wide.

06:16gets into the gravel, sideways.
06:18He's totally out of control now.

06:25but look at this battle as well.

06:35but certainly not the way the textbook suggests.

06:42who does a brilliant job not to spin.

07:16Warren Hughes has run into Colin Turkington.
07:18Tom Chilton's involved off cars,
07:20trying to avoid it all.
07:21Michael Bentwood's in the middle of that,
07:23and we've got somebody else off.
07:24That looks like Carl Breed.
07:26Let's see from on board Warren Hughes.
07:28Hughes makes a good start.
07:30Bit of wheelspin from Chilton Turkington.

07:33and it just turns the cars into each other.

07:37Well, Warren Hughes managed to continue.

07:40Now, this was with Michael Bentwood in the BMW.
07:43Now, he made a brilliant start.
07:44Look at this, getting past the loaders of the touring cars.
07:46Well, he's made a great start,
07:48the rear-wheel drive,
07:49but it's just driven him straight into trouble.
07:51He collects the back of Turkington's car.
07:53That's Danny Buxton we're looking at,
07:55coming up towards Riches,
07:56who will be later on the brakes.
07:57Turkington brakes late.
07:58Oh, and Dan Eaves has lost it.

08:02trying to go round the outside.

08:15Oh, and Bennett's hit Morrison.

08:18Well, he hasn't hit the tyres too hard.
08:20Let's see what happened to him.
08:21On board with Foreman,
08:22and, well, he's run straight across the kerbs,
08:25and the car's gone straight on, I suspect.
08:28Ouch!
08:29I suspect he's broken the front suspension.
08:31And Hal was bouncing off the grass a little bit,
08:33coming out of clearways.
08:34Oh, he goes down the inside.
08:36He's attacking into Panicule Bend.
08:37Collard tries to hold him tight.
08:38Oh, they make contact.
08:40Collard goes off into the Panicule gravel track,
08:43and that's surely the end of his race.
08:44He leads into Panicule Bend for the second time here today.
08:47He led initially in the first race.
08:49Oh, and Matt Neil's all out of shape.
08:51In trouble, he hits Thompson
08:53and comes right across the track and into the tyres
08:56on the inside,
08:57and a potential race winner is out already.
08:59So, two good starts for Muller.
09:01Now, let's see what happened in the confrontation with Matt Neil.
09:05Contact initially, just coming into it.
09:07Matt gets it straight down,
09:08but his wheels are pointing to the right,
09:10and it just spears him off into James Thompson
09:13and then in the barriers.
09:14So it was contact with Thompson on the way in
09:16and on the way out of the corner.
09:17This was the view from Paul O'Neill.
09:19Matt Neil on the left, just turning in,
09:21and there's James Thompson.
09:22They're both arriving in the same space at once.
09:25Matt controls the slide,
09:26but his wheels are pointing slightly to the right,
09:28and that fires him back across the road.
09:30But Warren Hughes is very late on the brakes,
09:32so they arrive side by side.
09:33There's a bit of contact.
09:34Thompson sideways.
09:35He's all crossed up.
09:36He's in the gravel.
09:37Oh, he's lost it.
09:38He's lost control,
09:39and he just keeps it out of the gravel,
09:41and amazingly,
09:42I don't think anyone else hits him.
09:44Thompson on the outside,
09:45Hughes on the inside.
09:46They go into the corner.
09:47There's the slightest of touch.
09:50Thompson flat on the throttle again,
09:52but the car just flits round and comes back on him.
09:55A very unfortunate spin.
09:57Well, once again, we were lucky.
09:59We didn't see a number of cars piling into him.
10:01And Muller's thrown away.
10:03A possible race win here.
10:04Up towards Joyce,
10:05and Reid's gone down the inside.
10:06He's hit Muller.
10:07They're both into the gravel on the outside.
10:10And now Muller should defend the inside
10:12because he's got Anthony Reid,
10:13who sees the gap, goes for it.
10:15Oh, just takes them both into the gravel.
10:17Fortunately, they keep going.
10:19But a good start again for Matt Neil, as you say.
10:21He's out in front.
10:22Oh, and that's Leslie on.
10:23It's David Leslie.
10:24Big smash against the tyre barrier.
10:25That's on the exit of the old hairpin.
10:27That's very much the end of the race for him.
10:29So we've lost one on this first lap.
10:31And there's a marker post going in the background.
10:33Matt Neil leads.
10:34James Thompson.
10:35Carl Breeze, meanwhile,
10:36busily defending here from Warren Hughes in the mid-back.
10:38Oh, and Bennett sideways in front of Muller.
10:40Muller's hit him.
10:41As he was sideways in front of him,
10:43Muller carries on.
10:44Bennett continues as well.
10:46And meanwhile, this is a replay.
10:48Well, Bennett's really in the thick of action here.
10:50He just tags the back of David Leslie's car
10:52with some congestion coming out of the old hairpin.
10:54And it fires Leslie off.
10:56Well, this is on board with Muller.
10:58And there's still the congestion.
10:59And suddenly, he's got Bennett sideways across the front of him.
11:02Third row of the grid in front of his teammate, Matt Neil.
11:05So, Morrison, we've seen him so often.
11:07Oh, and there's another Honda.
11:08That's Tom Chilton bouncing over the grass.
11:10It almost went up on the end.
11:12But he's managed to gather it back together.
11:14And again, a car off the line.
11:15Let's take another look back at what happened to Tom Chilton.
11:17Round the outside of Cascades, he went and ran out of room.
11:20Well, Tom's carried far too much speed into the corner.
11:23Got out onto the grass.
11:24Back at the youngster, who's had such a good run.
11:26Oh, contact between Reid and Matt Neil.
11:28Neil's completely sideways.
11:30Reid goes to the inside.
11:31Turkington goes to the outside.
11:32Reid's on the grass.
11:33Turkington almost...
11:34Let's see what happens.
11:35Turns in over the kerb.
11:37Matt just releases the rear.
11:39And it just comes round on him.
11:40Tries to get on the power and save it.
