00:00:00Over three months ago, I invited 16 candidates to come to New York City for the chance to
00:00:28win the dream job of a lifetime.
00:00:35They came from all walks of life.
00:00:37Some were self-made entrepreneurs.
00:00:40Others learned about business from some of the finest business schools in the country.
00:00:44A few had only a high school diploma.
00:00:47Venture capitalists came to compete against copier salesmen, but they all shared the same
00:00:52goal, to work for me as my apprentice.
00:00:59I divided the candidates into two teams, men versus women.
00:01:03They gave themselves corporate names.
00:01:06What is your team name?
00:01:07VersaCorp.
00:01:08Cotégé Corporation.
00:01:09Here are your instructions.
00:01:14Each week, I assigned them a business task, and my executives, George Ross and Carolyn
00:01:20were on hand to observe and critique their every move.
00:01:27Each team elected a project manager who would be partially responsible for the team's success
00:01:31or failure.
00:01:33I called the losing team into my boardroom, and the project manager picked two people
00:01:38that they thought contributed to the loss.
00:01:40Then, after each of them argued their case, one of them was fired.
00:01:45You're fired.
00:01:47You're fired.
00:01:49This is a tough one.
00:01:50You're fired.
00:01:51On the first four tasks, I couldn't believe how the women of Cotégé repeatedly outsmarted
00:01:57the men of VersaCorp and easily won.
00:02:00I'm starting to think that I may never hire a man again.
00:02:04One by one, I fired David, Jason, Sam, and Bui.
00:02:10I am sick and tired of getting our asses handed to us.
00:02:16We haven't won ****, dude, and we're going to be another man down as of tomorrow.
00:02:20VersaCorp was getting desperate, but when I told the teams to manage Planet Hollywood,
00:02:25Bill thought Kwame went too far when he sold autographed basketballs.
00:02:29There it is.
00:02:31All right.
00:02:32Was it borderline great?
00:02:33You know it, and I know what it was.
00:02:34I didn't sell a kid crack.
00:02:35Meanwhile, the women of Cotégé were having problems of their own.
00:02:38Being a bitch is going to be your problem.
00:02:39You have to live with that for the rest of your life.
00:02:42I didn't come here to make friends.
00:02:43I said that from day one.
00:02:45By week five, the men were decimated, and I gave them a chance to pick new teams.
00:02:50We're going to do what we call in business a corporate reshuffle.
00:02:54Now, both groups consisted of men and women.
00:02:58I am totally excited.
00:02:59It's a completely different dynamic working with guys.
00:03:01I then challenged the teams to buy items and resell them for a profit at a flea market.
00:03:07Can I have $10?
00:03:09And VersaCorp finally celebrated its first victory.
00:03:13Good job, guys.
00:03:17In the boardroom, Christy didn't defend herself and was the first woman fired.
00:03:22Then I let Jesse go for being too timid.
00:03:25Tammy drove her team nuts.
00:03:27Erica lost her cool.
00:03:29And Omarosa lost it completely.
00:03:32I've been running around with my hair.
00:03:34I can't believe it's going away.
00:03:36I can't believe it.
00:03:38Mr. Trump, I've worked for the last two weeks.
00:03:42I've been running around for a week with my hair.
00:03:44I don't like excuses.
00:03:46Omarosa has to go.
00:03:48You're fired.
00:03:50Then I fired two more candidates, Heidi and Katrina.
00:03:55By week 11, I saw teammates Bill and Kwame emerge as rising stars with vastly different business styles and backgrounds.
00:04:03Bill has done an excellent job aligning himself with fantastic talent.
00:04:07Kwame's got a polished veneer.
00:04:09He's got a Harvard degree.
00:04:10He knows how to interact with people.
00:04:13At the Taj Mahal task in Atlantic City, I required the candidates to attract and register new gamblers.
00:04:21Bill and Kwame had different strategies.
00:04:23Bill went for the VIPs.
00:04:26The game was not going to be won or lost on volume.
00:04:29It was going to be won or lost on the quality of player that you brought through.
00:04:33Kwame went for shock value.
00:04:36The Tiger was phenomenal.
00:04:37It was a very Donald Trump thing to do.
00:04:39Like in a basketball game, there's something demoralizing about dunking on the other team and giving them like a full...
00:04:46When we brought the Tiger out, we dunked on them.
00:04:48And Kwame chalked up his first victory as project manager.
00:04:55A week later, Kwame used his Harvard polish to outshine his friend Troy's raw talent.
00:05:00Well, Troy, I have to say, you're fired.
00:05:05Last week, I dissolved the teams and the final four, Amy, Nick, Kwame and Bill,
00:05:12faced a tough series of round robin interviews with my top ranking executives.
00:05:17What are you going to bring to the table other than your charisma?
00:05:20Do you consider yourself a loyal employee?
00:05:22What do you think their perception is of why you're here?
00:05:24Because I sure as hell can't figure it out.
00:05:26Thank you for your time.
00:05:28My executives gave me their impressions in the boardroom.
00:05:31Who are you most impressed with?
00:05:33Bill.
00:05:34Kwame's got the long term potential, I think, of what we're looking for.
00:05:39What do you think of Nick?
00:05:40I think he's a little bit too slick for his own good.
00:05:42What do you think of Amy?
00:05:43Amy kind of reminded me of a Stepford wife.
00:05:46Her answers were basically meaningless.
00:05:48As a result, I fired two more candidates.
00:05:53First Nick, then Amy.
00:05:56Now, only two candidates remain.
00:05:59Bill, an idea man who started a multi-million dollar cigar company,
00:06:04has come far due to his business savvy and his street smarts.
00:06:08I've created some incentives.
00:06:10Whoever can ring up the most gross sales per hour gets a hundred dollars that hour.
00:06:14You can win it again two hours later, you can win it again the next hour.
00:06:18Kwame, a solid competitor who holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School,
00:06:22has managed to steer clear of conflict.
00:06:25His management training and calm, collected manner has separated him from the pack.
00:06:30We need to have as many people kind of on the front lines as possible,
00:06:33with just a skeleton crew on the interior,
00:06:36because you don't want to be out there while they're in session.
00:06:38My management style is to have great people, tell them what to do, get the hell out of their way.
00:06:45From the top of Trump Tower, the final two face the future.
00:06:49May the best man win.
00:06:50I think we already have.
00:06:53After weeks of testing their skills in business from management to marketing,
00:06:58I gave Bill and Kwame their final task.
00:07:01Bill, you'll run the Chrysler Trump Golf Tournament.
00:07:04In Briarcliff Manor, Trump National Golf Club.
00:07:07Kwame, you'll be in charge of the Jessica Simpson concert in Atlantic City.
00:07:12They drafted their former teammates to help them.
00:07:15Bill, it's your shot. Go ahead, pick.
00:07:17I'm going to pick Amy.
00:07:18That's not a bad pick. Kwame?
00:07:19I'm going to pick my main man in combat, Troy McClain.
00:07:22I'm going to pick Katrina.
00:07:23Okay.
00:07:24Omarosa.
00:07:25Very good.
00:07:26Nick.
00:07:27Okay.
00:07:28I will take Heidi.
00:07:29Very good.
00:07:30The situation turned grim almost immediately,
00:07:33as both Kwame and Bill found themselves in way over their heads.
00:07:37Bill was disorganized.
00:07:39You've got to be kidding. This many boxes? Oh my God.
00:07:45And Leslie Ray, the manager of my Trump National Golf Course, was not impressed.
00:07:50This is a lot of stuff.
00:07:52I'm not going to worry about what Leslie makes,
00:07:54because I've got a job to do tomorrow and I've got to get it done.
00:07:57Meanwhile, in Atlantic City, Omarosa received an important phone call from Diane,
00:08:02the head of transportation.
00:08:04I called Omarosa and told her to make sure that Jessica and her band
00:08:09arrive when they're supposed to arrive.
00:08:12Transportation has to be, you know, coordinated.
00:08:15But is there any way that you could go ahead and make the arrangements for the transportation?
00:08:19Because, unfortunately, we're sitting, like, in the middle of a…
00:08:23Well, where's your phone call?
00:08:25I'm not going to have that conversation.
00:08:27It really was not a big deal at all.
00:08:29But the next day, Kwame heard a very different story from Omarosa.
00:08:34And let me just get this story straight.
00:08:36You gave Omarosa a call last night at dinner about this issue.
00:08:40No, I called her before we ever went to dinner.
00:08:42No, no, I'm talking about at Mark Anthony.
00:08:43But I didn't get her when they called me at Mark Anthony.
00:08:45They just told me I needed to call back the office.
00:08:47She'd already left.
00:08:49As a result, not only did Kwame lose control over his team,
00:08:54he lost Jessica Simpson.
00:08:56Jessica Simpson was missing.
00:08:58The driver was standing at her terminal and there was no record of her.
00:09:02You need to find out what the right flights are
00:09:04and what time these people are going to be arriving.
00:09:11Tonight, the two men go head-to-head in the final hours
00:09:14of the most demanding job interview ever.
00:09:17Both will return to the boardroom,
00:09:20but only one will be asked to stay
00:09:22and become the president of one of my companies.
00:09:25Only one will be given the dream job of a lifetime.
00:09:29Only one will be The Apprentice.
00:09:40Money, money, money, money
00:09:43Money
00:09:44Money, money, money, money
00:09:48Money
00:09:49Some people got to have it
00:09:54Do thangs, do thangs, do thangs, bad thangs
00:09:58With it
00:10:01Dollar bills, y'all
00:10:02Come on, man
00:10:03Need, oh, need
00:10:07Make, make, make
00:10:10All my desire
00:10:12I don't know that money
00:10:16Give me a nickel, brother
00:10:18Can you allow
00:10:21Money can drive some people
00:10:23Out of their mind
00:10:26Money, money, money, money
00:10:37Money, money, money, money
00:10:42Hey, hey, hey, hey
00:10:45Oh, hey, hey
00:10:57How do you lose a rock star?
00:11:00Jessica Simpson was missing
00:11:02She was nowhere to be found
00:11:04She's in our sweat box, yeah
00:11:06I spoke to her about Jessica missing
00:11:09And then she never called me back
00:11:11So I never talked to her about her travel route
00:11:13Omarosa just totally dropped the ball
00:11:15I would fire Omarosa because she's not competent
00:11:18But I didn't have the luxury of doing that
00:11:26Hi, is this Jessica?
00:11:28Hi, Jessica, it's Omarosa, how are you?
00:11:31Where are you located now?
00:11:33Are you in the hotel?
00:11:34Actually, what happened was Jessica Simpson's people
00:11:36Had booked their own transportation
00:11:38No one had told us that
00:11:39And then we booked transportation on top of that
00:11:41So it confused Jessica a little bit
00:11:43But in the end, she arrived safely
00:11:45So Omarosa and I went to meet Jessica in her suite
00:11:48How are you, sir?
00:11:49Hey, how are you?
00:11:50Call me Jackson
00:11:51Nice to meet you
00:11:52Can I come on in?
00:11:53Absolutely
00:11:54Great, thank you
00:11:55All right, welcome to Tasha's
00:11:56This is my colleague Omarosa
00:11:57Good to meet you
00:11:58How are you?
00:11:59Is everything to your liking?
00:12:00Amazing, beautiful
00:12:01Nice to meet you
00:12:02How are you?
00:12:03Nice to meet you too
00:12:04All right, my name is Kwame
00:12:05This is Omarosa, my colleague
00:12:06How are you?
00:12:07I couldn't find you
00:12:08I have lost the biggest rock star in the country
00:12:11I was so confused, I didn't know what to do
00:12:13So I called my production manager
00:12:15Because he was the only one I could get a hold of
00:12:17You went through the back way
00:12:18You being a trooper, so thank you so much
00:12:20Oh yeah, no
00:12:21Believe me, logistically, we're going to make sure
00:12:23That everything is really, really tight
00:12:24Thank you
00:12:25Thank you
00:12:26See you in the morning
00:12:27See you in the morning, all right
00:12:28All right, thank you
00:12:29Everything's straight, we got everything covered
00:12:31You know, there's a few balls up in the air
00:12:33But all the major stuff is taken care of
00:12:35And I feel good about that
00:12:41Good morning
00:12:42What's going on?
00:12:43Other than it's cold and dark
00:12:45Saturday morning, I think we got up about 4.30
00:12:48We wanted to get to the country club by 6
00:12:50You know, I'd rather have more time than not enough time
00:12:53I saw somebody in here earlier
00:12:55Hello
00:12:56Ah, back again
00:12:59How are you?
00:13:02I got the troops up early, and they were supportive
00:13:04I mean, when I popped my head out of the door at 5.15
00:13:06And Katrina was ready to go
00:13:08It's the first time in 13 weeks that she's been ready to go on time
00:13:11So I got to give her credit
00:13:12I owe her one, that's for sure
00:13:17I was given the task of being the tournament director
00:13:20At Trump National Golf Course
00:13:22It was the Chrysler Trump Golf Invitational
00:13:24Benefiting the Ike Austin Diabetes Foundation
00:13:29I knew it was going to be a great day
00:13:31Morning
00:13:32Morning
00:13:33How are you?
00:13:34One thing, Courtney
00:13:35Yes
00:13:36We somehow, in transition, we misplaced a marquee jet sign
00:13:41It was delivered a few days ago
00:13:43It was put in the model home, we think
00:13:45Give me a description of it, sorry
00:13:46It's a sign that says marquee jet
00:13:48I think it's a black sign with white lettering
00:13:51All right, I'll take a look
00:13:53How you doing, all right?
00:13:54Good, yeah
00:13:55Is there anything on our end that we should...
00:13:57There's a heavy frost delay
00:13:58So it looks like it's going to be 10.30 or so
00:14:00That's going to...
00:14:01Yeah, that's going to push you back
00:14:03Okay
00:14:04It's going to screw up your schedule a little bit
00:14:07What do you normally do when there's a frost delay in an outing?
00:14:10Sit around, drink a lot of coffee
00:14:11Drink coffee
00:14:12That's it, that's all they can do
00:14:13Okay
00:14:14To preserve the condition of the course
00:14:16You can't go out there while there's frost on the grass
00:14:19Because the grass cracks and it causes a lot of problems
00:14:22We were supposed to tee off at 9 a.m.
00:14:24And the superintendent said that it was going to be a 10.30 start now
00:14:28Because of the frost
00:14:29So it was an hour and a half delay
00:14:31We're going to have a frost delay today
00:14:33So we're going to be delayed about an hour, it looks like
00:14:36I haven't really processed it yet
00:14:38Probably a good thing that I haven't
00:14:39Because I don't want to stress out
00:14:41I want to stay relaxed, I want to stay calm
00:14:44I'm worried about the sign, that's a problem
00:14:47Where was it seen?
00:14:49Katrina said she saw it in the model home
00:14:55Hey, how you doing? Sorry to bother you
00:14:57You haven't by chance had any luck with that marquee jet sign, huh?
00:15:01They're a big sponsor, and if we lose that sign
00:15:04It could be a little bit of a problem
00:15:06We had quite a few signs from our sponsors that were lost or missing
00:15:10And that was a pretty stressful situation for me
00:15:13And I think for Bill as well
00:15:14Because we had contractual obligations to display the signs that were lost
00:15:18Yeah, it says the marquee jet card
00:15:20And it's black in color, I believe
00:15:23We had to maintain good relations with the sponsors
00:15:26I knew that was critical
00:15:28These people were putting up a lot of money
00:15:31If you see that marquee jet sign, just obviously let one of us know
00:15:35Thanks a lot
00:15:37Just as we were looking for the marquee jet sign
00:15:40The two marquee jet representatives were approaching
00:15:43You guys cool?
00:15:44Yeah, I think we're good
00:15:45You guys all right?
00:15:46Yeah, I think we're good
00:15:47You guys all right?
00:15:48Yeah, I think we're good
00:15:49You guys all right?
00:15:50Yeah, I think we're good
00:15:51You guys cool?
00:15:52Yeah, I think we're good
00:15:53You guys all right?
00:15:54What's the time?
00:15:55We're looking at 10.30, it's kind of a temporary time
00:15:57We're going to get an update in about 5 minutes
00:15:59And what time will we bring the sign with us?
00:16:01As soon as we get clearance to drive on the course
00:16:04No one can go on the course right now just because of the frost
00:16:06So just have some coffee, donuts, whatever
00:16:08I'm in the main office if you need me
00:16:10Someone will be able to get a hold of me
00:16:15There are the marquee jet hours
00:16:16Do you think you have any idea where it's at?
00:16:18Right in here
00:16:19I'm going to come with you
00:16:21That's it, I'm going to freak
00:16:23Please tell me it's in here
00:16:26You know what, I'm going to take a run down to the dumpster
00:16:28Just some weird chance that it got thrown out
00:16:31I'll be right back, thanks
00:16:51Sweet ginger brown
00:16:54How the sun is going up here, I don't know
00:16:57We had so many boxes of crap
00:16:59That I think that getting rid of the mess in the office
00:17:02We picked up a marquee jet sign that was in a box
00:17:05And assumed that it was trash
00:17:08I think we have metal stakes
00:17:09They go into this foam core, and then they go in the ground
00:17:12It was literally about a 5 second gap
00:17:15Between when the sign was found
00:17:18And when the marquee jet guys were walking in
00:17:20It was as if we had it waiting for them
00:17:23When they pulled up, it was great
00:17:25So we're going to have fun today, guys
00:17:40Here's the deal, 830
00:17:42830, go ahead
00:17:44We're going to meet here with the folks from Operation Smile
00:17:47This morning, Kwame and myself had a meeting
00:17:50With Dee Dee Sides and Beth from Operation Smile
00:17:53Jessica Simpson is the spokesperson for Operation Smile
00:17:56And what it is, is for children to have cleft palates
00:17:58And trying to get operations for them
00:18:00They can't afford the operations
00:18:02And so this is what a screening looks like
00:18:04It's a two week medical mission
00:18:06And what we primarily do are cleft lips and cleft palates
00:18:09And that's it right there
00:18:10There's your fore picture and your after picture
00:18:12You're not exactly sure
00:18:13Got up at 6.30 this morning, after going to bed at 2
00:18:16So not much sleep for the weary
00:18:18The big event for the morning is obviously the 10 o'clock breakfast
00:18:20Along with the Operation Smile folks
00:18:22Mark Brown, the CEO of the Taj Mahal
00:18:24And Jessica Simpson and her husband
00:18:29Good morning, I think you know these folks
00:18:31Thanks for having us this morning
00:18:32Absolutely, come in
00:18:34This is George
00:18:35Hey, how are you?
00:18:36This is my boyfriend
00:18:37Omarosa was originally in charge of the breakfast
00:18:39She said she did not have capacity on whether we could take it over
00:18:42Troy took over the breakfast
00:18:44We walked in at 10 and no one had begun anything
00:18:48It was at 10 o'clock
00:18:49No, no one said specifically 10, not us
00:18:52So if you like what we can do, as quickly as possible
00:18:55Just try to get some cold stuff up here
00:18:59Well, I think that Carmen was on the understanding that it was specifically at 10
00:19:02But we were not told it was specifically at 10 o'clock
00:19:05Yeah, we need to talk to food and beverage
00:19:07Troy took over the breakfast
00:19:10Unfortunately, Troy never got back to me to say it was specifically 10 or not
00:19:14Troy had a meeting with Jay, the head of catering for the Taj Mahal
00:19:18And talked about the logistics for the VIP breakfast
00:19:21He did not follow up with Jay after that meeting to make sure that everything was done
00:19:26Can we have the butler just prepare breakfast for Miss Simpson to her liking?
00:19:30I'll get something as quickly as I can
00:19:33So, let me run
00:19:34My apologies, Jay
00:19:35Can I speak with you for a moment please?
00:19:36Yes
00:19:37Can you excuse us for a second?
00:19:38Tommy is being extremely laid back
00:19:40And I think that he needs to be a little more intense
00:19:43And just exert a little more energy when it comes to these things
00:19:46I know he's being very cool about it
00:19:48And I don't, in fact, don't want to see him acting kind of erratic
00:19:51But he needs to be a little more expressive
00:19:55Once the breakfast was turned over to Troy
00:19:57I had no contact with Troy at all
00:19:59No, so
00:20:01So, I'm walking in assuming the food's all sitting there and set
00:20:04Well, nobody spoke to food and beverage, how can it be set?
00:20:06We just seem to kind of knock on the door and Nick
00:20:08I don't even know if Nick knew we were coming at 10 o'clock
00:20:11You know I'm pretty upset about the whole thing
00:20:13Because it makes us
00:20:14Yes
00:20:15You're not prepared
00:20:16Like I said to you, check, double check, recheck
00:20:18You counted on Troy
00:20:19First it was you, you passed it on to Omarosa
00:20:22You passed it on to Troy
00:20:24Troy never talked to food and beverage
00:20:26It was you
00:20:27I got everything on them
00:20:28Okay
00:20:29They're not hearing what you want
00:20:30Okay
00:20:32Kwame's team killed him
00:20:34His selection
00:20:35I heard a lot what he did here today
00:20:38I'm looking at Kwame under pressure
00:20:40And he seems to be cracking a little bit
00:20:43Are you stressed like I'm stressed?
00:20:45Troy, are you in the office?
00:20:46No, I'm up in the room with him
00:20:49Hey guys
00:20:50How are you?
00:20:51Good, how are you?
00:20:52Cheese doodles for breakfast
00:20:53How'd it go?
00:20:54There was a big snafu
00:20:56Why?
00:20:57The food wasn't ready
00:20:59What?
00:21:00The food wasn't ready
00:21:01Did it all work out though?
00:21:02It all worked out, but Mark was upset with me
00:21:04That part didn't go well
00:21:05I mean, it's worked out, but it didn't go well
00:21:07But you know
00:21:08I told Jay Chesterton and Omarosa
00:21:10I know you did
00:21:11I mean, Troy made an error with the breakfast
00:21:13But when Troy told me, you know
00:21:15The breakfast is going to take place at this time
00:21:17We've had this meeting
00:21:18We told this person
00:21:19That's all you can do
00:21:20I can't, after that, go back and say
00:21:22You know, Jay, did my team actually sit down with you?
00:21:25Did they actually tell you this time?
00:21:27I mean, that's just, that's
00:21:28I mean, to me, that's just micromanaging people
00:21:30I think that's a bull-
00:21:31So, so when I got there
00:21:33Jay was like, you know
00:21:35I didn't know how many people
00:21:36I'd heard nine-thirty, then I'd heard ten
00:21:39But you, me, and Omarosa talked to him
00:21:41The night
00:21:43And nothing was prepared
00:21:45Okay
00:21:57How often do you normally get updates on the Frosh play?
00:21:59As often as you check in with him
00:22:01Okay
00:22:02You know, it was in the last half hour
00:22:04We're looking at ten-thirty-ish
00:22:06Okay
00:22:07The Frosh delay is going to push back the tournament
00:22:09It's going to push back the reception
00:22:10It's going to push everything back
00:22:11And it's going to just, you know
00:22:13Sort of put a little kink in the plans
00:22:15With Bill's, you know, the schedule of events
00:22:17So we'll see how Bill handles it
00:22:19Have you seen Mr. Trump?
00:22:20I have not seen Mr. Trump
00:22:21Do you know anything about him?
00:22:22We have Mr. Trump fully accommodated
00:22:23And I've got him ready to go
00:22:24So when he walks up, his stuff is good
00:22:26His caddy has the bags, has his irons
00:22:28Do you know when he's arriving?
00:22:30We do not know when he's arriving
00:22:31Are you aware of his arrival?
00:22:32Absolutely
00:22:50There's no one manning the gift table, at all
00:22:52That's got to get taken care of
00:22:53Because it looks like s***
00:23:02Katrina, I'm in front of the gift table
00:23:03Where are you at?
00:23:04Nick, any update on that Frosh delay?
00:23:10Hi Harvey, hi everybody
00:23:13It's exciting, huh?
00:23:15Beautiful
00:23:16Hello
00:23:17Hey Brian, nice seeing you
00:23:18Thanks for your hospitality
00:23:19Have fun
00:23:20Will you just check on the Frosh delay
00:23:21And get an update for me?
00:23:22Yeah
00:23:23On what the Frosh delay is looking like?
00:23:24Yeah, I'll do that
00:23:25Thank you
00:23:26Thank you
00:23:27Thank you
00:23:28Thank you
00:23:29Thank you
00:23:31No cheating
00:23:33Okay?
00:23:34No cheating
00:23:35No cheating
00:23:45Mr. Trump
00:23:46Is he doing a good job?
00:23:47He better be doing a good job
00:23:48He'll get fired so fast
00:23:51He'll be fired like a dog
00:23:53Your club's okay?
00:23:54Everything's perfect
00:23:55Mr. Trump announced to everyone that was there
00:23:57That if I screw this one up
00:23:58I was going to get canned
00:23:59He did it in a joking manner
00:24:00But you know, it's true
00:24:01I mean, there's a lot of pressure
00:24:02Obviously I want to win this
00:24:04Because from a financial standpoint
00:24:06It's going to be great
00:24:07And from an opportunity standpoint
00:24:08There's a lot at stake here
00:24:09And you definitely feel the pressure
00:24:11Bearing down on your back
00:24:12When are we going out?
00:24:14We have a Frosh delay right now
00:24:16We're looking at at least an hour
00:24:17To an hour and a half delay
00:24:18No later than 10.30
00:24:19We're supposed to go to Atlantic City from here
00:24:21Well, we're working on it
00:24:23No later than 10.30
00:24:3010.30
00:24:39Trey dropped the ball so bad on this breakfast
00:24:42We've got a rebound from the breakfast
00:24:45With an awesome meet and greet
00:24:47The problem is also
00:24:48You have to realize
00:24:49Like I was in charge of it
00:24:50And now, I don't mind it
00:24:51Because it's good, it's a helpful hand
00:24:52But now Trey's also in charge of it
00:24:54And it's just too many chefs in the kitchen
00:24:56The meet and greet was my responsibility
00:24:58And then Kwame said
00:24:59Trey, you're going to help Heidi with it
00:25:01So I felt that Kwame didn't trust me enough
00:25:03And if that's the case
00:25:04When the morale's not there
00:25:05And you're like, you know what
00:25:06My boss doesn't trust me
00:25:07Screw that
00:25:12Can I just express my concerns right now?
00:25:14It's not personal
00:25:16Well, it actually is
00:25:19This is what I have a problem with
00:25:20I was in charge of the meet and greet
00:25:21You also put Troy in charge
00:25:22Which I don't, it's fine
00:25:23If that's the way you want to do it, that's fine
00:25:24I don't know if you don't trust me
00:25:26But he is helping a lot
00:25:27Which I don't mind
00:25:28But here's the thing
00:25:29I mean, I know he's your right-hand man
00:25:30But then don't say, okay, well
00:25:31You're in charge of meet and greet
00:25:32Because you've also
00:25:33You have put us both in charge of it
00:25:34You really have
00:25:35I have not
00:25:36You were in charge of the meet and greet
00:25:37But you have put Troy in charge of it both
00:25:39Now I feel like it's like
00:25:40Okay, well, if something happens bad
00:25:41It's all on you, Heidi
00:25:42If something happens bad, Heidi
00:25:43It's all on me, actually
00:25:44Let me clarify right now
00:25:46You are in charge of the meet and greet
00:25:48I want you to run it
00:25:49And structure it appropriately
00:25:50Make the decisions that are necessary
00:25:51To make it a successful event
00:25:53Troy's a co-pilot to help you
00:25:54With the meet and greet
00:25:55Something were to go wrong
00:25:56I have never done a meet and greet in my life
00:25:58I don't have autographs
00:25:59I'm going to judge it
00:26:00Heidi, I've never done a meet and greet either
00:26:02He's never done a meet and greet
00:26:03Everybody's doing stuff for the first time
00:26:04That's why I'm relying on you
00:26:05And your expertise to try to get it done
00:26:07That's it
00:26:08I've never done it
00:26:09I'm not saying I'm any better or not
00:26:10All I'm saying is
00:26:11I can't be in all these different places
00:26:13That's why I've just delegated it out
00:26:14Just like I delegated promotion to him
00:26:16Logistics to her
00:26:17I'm delegating meet and greet to you
00:26:18So you can be successful with it
00:26:20Heidi makes mountains out of molehills
00:26:22And she gets so uptight about the littlest things
00:26:25That she creates stressful situations
00:26:27And episodes where
00:26:28You know, you really don't need to be stressed out
00:26:30And you need to just push through and execute
00:26:32And if you need help
00:26:33That's what he's there for
00:26:34He's your co-pilot
00:26:35Whatever you'd like to do
00:26:36It's your meet and greet
00:26:52Everything, they're gone
00:26:54You're gonna move the furniture back?
00:26:55Yes, furniture will be back to its original condition
00:26:57Okay
00:26:58I'd like that done as soon as possible
00:27:00That's hot on my priority
00:27:01Okay, good
00:27:04Katrina
00:27:05That's how I operate
00:27:07I thrive under the pressure
00:27:08And I, like to me, that's fun
00:27:10I'm always doing a hundred things at once
00:27:12And I like to operate at a fast pace
00:27:14Some people don't like that style
00:27:16But to me, that's the only way to do it
00:27:18Katrina, that office
00:27:20Gotta get taken care of
00:27:21All of the caddies?
00:27:22Get one of them to take care of that
00:27:24Just listen to me
00:27:25Where do you want me to put it?
00:27:26I don't care
00:27:27Just put it out here
00:27:28We can put it underneath the table
00:27:29Get it done
00:27:30Okay
00:27:31Trust me
00:27:32As soon as somebody can, I'll do it
00:27:35See, this is what he needs to stop doing, Amy
00:27:37It feels like this, and we're like this
00:27:40I'm the type of person where I get my job done
00:27:43But don't ask me 20 times whether I'm doing it
00:27:52Bill went in and out of the clubhouse
00:27:54At least 150 times today
00:27:57I see him running around an awful lot
00:27:59And he shouldn't be running around
00:28:01It doesn't look that great
00:28:02From the player's standpoint
00:28:04For the tournament director to be running around
00:28:06Okay
00:28:10He wants you up there in eight minutes
00:28:11Okay
00:28:12How are we doing on the final pairings?
00:28:13Is that done?
00:28:14Done
00:28:15And the carry hazard, everything's done?
00:28:16All the athletes are all paired up?
00:28:20You know what I'm about to say?
00:28:21I've got to ask
00:28:22I thought we had an agreement yesterday
00:28:23Okay, all right, fine
00:28:24When you asked me once
00:28:25Fine, fine, fine
00:28:26Mr. Trump works in an environment
00:28:28That you have to deal with stressful situations all the time
00:28:31And if he's that panicked
00:28:34And in such a frenzied state
00:28:37On something that is as simple and as organized
00:28:40As a golf tournament
00:28:41Then I think that it's going to be tough
00:28:42For Mr. Trump to be able to say
00:28:44Yeah, Bill, I put you in charge of a company
00:28:46That has a lot of problems and that you need to fix
00:28:49Amy, come in, Amy
00:28:50There's no way that I would ask you five times
00:28:52If you did something
00:28:53Never
00:28:54Well, now
00:28:55Because it's getting out of control
00:28:56I'm like, you've asked me 15 times the same question
00:28:58And I'm almost about to the point
00:29:00That I'm not going to do it
00:29:03I, right now, don't think Bill will win
00:29:06And it makes me very sad
00:29:21Got it
00:29:22On the way to the ballroom
00:29:24I've been put in charge of the meet and greet
00:29:26It's really critical because it's where
00:29:28The fans and the VIP guests can meet Jessica
00:29:31Get autographs and photographs of her
00:29:33I think Kalamie should have given me more
00:29:35It's really important not to underestimate me
00:29:38I am very confident, more confident
00:29:40Than Troy, to be honest with you
00:29:43How do you want that set?
00:29:46God, I'm so new to this
00:29:49They told me to prepare for 50 people
00:29:51And the capacity in the room wouldn't hold 160
00:29:54We definitely have a problem, that's for sure
00:29:56There's a lot of information
00:29:57That's not being shared amongst the team
00:29:59Call me when you get a chance
00:30:00Please come to the ballroom
00:30:02At one time, there was only approximately
00:30:0430 casino guests and 50 radio station winners
00:30:07For the meet and greet
00:30:08It was communicated to Troy yesterday
00:30:11That it was actually approaching 100 for the casino
00:30:14That was communicated to Troy
00:30:15But never made it to Heidi
00:30:18Nice to meet you, Kalamie
00:30:19How are you?
00:30:20Yesterday, we presented a list to Troy
00:30:2392 VIP guests
00:30:27No one told them
00:30:28So now we're talking a total of
00:30:30150, potentially
00:30:31Okay, so what we had planned to do in the room
00:30:34Is actually just have traffic flow
00:30:36We're gonna have people come in the room
00:30:37In small groups
00:30:38Sign autographs for Jessica Simpson
00:30:40Congregate for a small time with Operation Smile
00:30:43And then head out
00:30:44So it wasn't gonna be a full 100 plus
00:30:47Yeah, that was the goal
00:30:48Is that okay?
00:30:49If that works for you, yeah
00:30:50Okay
00:30:51Great
00:30:52Kwame's handling it well
00:30:54I think it's by far a very difficult task to do
00:30:56He seems to have it fairly much under control
00:30:59Putting all the pieces together
00:31:00And seeing that it runs smoothly
00:31:02Is a real challenge
00:31:04I think Kwame's doing very well
00:31:05I'll be back shortly, so
00:31:06If you need me, I'll be back shortly
00:31:08Yeah, please come back
00:31:09I'm nervous, but any good leader knows
00:31:11That if the leader's freaking out
00:31:13And you're the person who's, you know
00:31:15Running around like Chicken Little
00:31:16With your head cut off
00:31:17Then that's the tone that you're gonna project
00:31:19To the team
00:31:21And to the people who are evaluating
00:31:23All right, you want me to bring them in here?
00:31:24Yeah, if it works
00:31:25If it's chaotic, it's all Troy's fault
00:31:27How are you guys?
00:31:28Blaming you already, Troy
00:31:29Oh my God, he's absolutely to blame
00:31:31Heidi was in charge of the meet and greet
00:31:32If you walked into the room
00:31:33And you looked
00:31:34Who seemed like they were in charge
00:31:35Of the meet and greet
00:31:36It was Troy
00:31:37I would really like everybody to listen to Heidi
00:31:40We wanna make sure that Heidi knows
00:31:41That everybody knows she's the boss
00:31:43Here's how it's gonna work, everybody
00:31:44Troy's bringing in our VIP guests
00:31:47He's actually talking to them
00:31:48Like they were third graders
00:31:49When the line starts, I would like everybody
00:31:52To come right here
00:31:54Everybody stand against the line
00:31:55Do as I say
00:31:57You just can't speak that way
00:31:58I'm probably handling this wrong
00:31:59Heidi's my pipple, she's gonna keep an eye out
00:32:01But the line starts right here
00:32:03Is everybody clear on that?
00:32:05Go farmarosa, go farmarosa
00:32:14She's there with me
00:32:15And she should, I was told she should be here
00:32:17Within the next five minutes
00:32:18Go farmarosa
00:32:20Mark, you forgot about me and my tambourine
00:32:22I'm sorry, there was, you know
00:32:23We put in a request for a tambourine
00:32:26It's hard to get in touch with farmarosa
00:32:28She won't pick up the phone
00:32:30Is Miss Simpson wrapping up?
00:32:34I have told them five times that we need to leave
00:32:37Go farmarosa, go farmarosa
00:32:39Go Kwame
00:32:40Can you just give me an ETA on Jessica's arrival
00:32:42At the meet-and-greet?
00:32:44530, 535 at the latest
00:32:46Farmarosa's taking Jessica to the meet-and-greet
00:32:48Heidi and Troy are running the meet-and-greet right now
00:32:51So everything's quick
00:32:57Here's Jessica
00:32:58Okay, let me go meet her
00:33:01Just go to the end of the line right there
00:33:03And we'll have you guys to the end of the line
00:33:05You can sit right over there
00:33:08Thank you
00:33:09Okay, great
00:33:13You guys can come in a little bit
00:33:14Because we're actually going to have more guests
00:33:16Behind the rope, go ahead right behind the rope
00:33:18On a project like this, it's really, really hard
00:33:21To check every detail of everything
00:33:25My leadership style requires talented people
00:33:27I put faith in the fact that I think that they're competent
00:33:30I cannot micromanage people
00:33:32Smile for the camera right here
00:33:33It's like, you know, you're doing your job
00:33:35And you're doing everybody else's job too
00:33:37That's not the definition of a manager
00:33:51Okay, let's go play golf
00:33:53Come on, enough of this
00:34:08Let's win it, kick-ass
00:34:13Once the tournament got underway
00:34:15I felt the weight slowly coming off of my back
00:34:18Good drive
00:34:19I'm kind of changing gears, I'm going into event planning mode
00:34:22Got a beautiful dinner planned tonight
00:34:24Just making sure that that goes off without a hitch
00:34:28So I've got a schedule, I'll put it in your box
00:34:32Of what's going to transpire tonight here
00:34:35Leslie and Carolyn run a tight ship there
00:34:37It's a very, very exclusive country club
00:34:39And they have a certain standard
00:34:41So today was obviously a high-stress day
00:34:43But I feel as if we've covered
00:34:45Every critical point that was there
00:34:47Presentation-wise, I think it looks great
00:34:49How do you think it looks?
00:34:51It looks great. Overall, I think it looks great
00:34:54How do you think it looks?
00:34:56It looks great. Overall, I think they all did a great job
00:34:59There's a lot of things that go into this whole production
00:35:01Were there quite a few hiccups along the way?
00:35:04Absolutely
00:35:05Is that part of the course?
00:35:07Absolutely it is
00:35:08Onward
00:35:09Yeah, I mean, it's so far so good
00:35:15Trump National is probably the most beautiful course I've ever seen
00:35:18Mr. Trump spent $30 million renovating it
00:35:21And created a truly spectacular course
00:35:25Okay, fellas, let's go
00:35:28The leaves are changing, the air is crisp
00:35:31And then you've got about 100 good-looking men
00:35:33Out there in their golf uniforms
00:35:35It's hard to beat
00:35:52Thank you
00:35:53I'm Bill
00:35:54Nice to meet you
00:35:55You guys having fun today?
00:35:57Good
00:36:05Yeah, there you go
00:36:0730
00:36:08Nobody's beaten us so far
00:36:10Beautiful
00:36:11I love that, I love those kids
00:36:16How are you doing?
00:36:17I'm good
00:36:18Trump's on his way in now
00:36:20I'm going to take care of that
00:36:22Let's follow you
00:36:23Okay
00:36:24How'd you shoot?
00:36:25Shot well
00:36:26We were 18 under
00:36:27I can't see losing
00:36:28I like that style
00:36:31Mr. Trump's force won the tournament
00:36:33It seemed like he was impressed with how seamless everything was
00:36:37I was pleased
00:36:38I think everything was relatively flawless
00:36:40I first want to thank everyone for coming out today
00:36:42Because this is really a worthy cause
00:36:45And Ike has donated a lot of his time
00:36:48And his energy
00:36:49To helping out preventing diabetes
00:36:54Well, I just want to thank everybody for being here
00:36:56You've raised a lot of money
00:36:58And congratulations on doing a great job
00:37:00I don't know if you're going to win or not
00:37:01But congratulations on doing a good job
00:37:03Thank you, sir
00:37:10Hey, P, how you doing?
00:37:11Good, excellent
00:37:12Bill's performing like Joe Willie Namath in 1968
00:37:15Jets, Colts
00:37:16Bill's the man for the job
00:37:17And he's just doing a wonderful job
00:37:20What is this?
00:37:21The Trump salad
00:37:22It went great, we played well
00:37:24My team was really good
00:37:25We really had a good round of golf
00:37:27I'm going now to Atlantic City to the Taj Mahal
00:37:29To see how Kwame is doing with Jessica Simpson
00:37:42I'm meeting Donald Trump on the helipad in a minute
00:37:44So I want to get a briefing together
00:37:45And let him know that everything's under control
00:38:16The Taj Mahal
00:38:26How are you, Mr. Trump?
00:38:27Let's go, let's go
00:38:29Just want to offer you a quick briefing on what's going on
00:38:31Tell me what's going on
00:38:32Jessica Simpson and her family have arrived here at the hotel
00:38:35We had a breakfast this morning with Mark Brown
00:38:38The folks from Operation Smile
00:38:40After that, they did their sound and rehearsal check
00:38:43And now we're in the progress of doing the meet and greet
00:38:46With Jessica Simpson in terms of autograph signing
00:38:48And where are they now?
00:38:49They're in Diamond Ballroom 8
00:38:51So we'll go see her now, right?
00:38:52Correct
00:38:56Thank you, ladies
00:38:57The meet and greet seems to be going well
00:38:59Signing autographs
00:39:01Jessica Simpson's getting a little edgy
00:39:04Six o'clock's rolling around
00:39:06She's concerned about her family
00:39:08She's really concerned
00:39:09I'm going to have to eat
00:39:12What time is it?
00:39:14Go for Heidi, go for Troy
00:39:15Mr. Trump is on his way, he's just landed
00:39:17Okay, Kwame, thank you very much
00:39:19Working on the talent
00:39:21Donald Trump's on his way down from the helipad
00:39:23He wants to meet with Jessica Simpson in the meet and greet
00:39:26I just found out in two seconds
00:39:28Then they should let us know
00:39:29Because Joe Simpson was really like, get her out of here
00:39:31I just found out in two seconds
00:39:33All right
00:39:36Open this door for me
00:39:38I'm not being kind of a...
00:39:41Okay, we might as well get out of here too
00:39:46How was your flight in?
00:39:48Beautiful
00:39:49It's your only way to travel, Kwame
00:39:51One day
00:39:52Someday you'll be traveling like that, I predict
00:39:54One day
00:39:55Trump is on his way, he's just landed
00:39:57What are you going to do?
00:39:59There's no Jessica Simpson
00:40:00I mean, I left the room for two seconds
00:40:02I'm not in charge of the lady
00:40:04Omarosa had left too
00:40:06No, I'm trying to get a hold of Omarosa
00:40:08And so what we'll do is just
00:40:10We just need to stay calm
00:40:12In front of these guys so they don't panic
00:40:15Wow
00:40:17Look at this
00:40:18Wow
00:40:19Donald Trump walks in
00:40:21There's no Jessica Simpson
00:40:23I have no clue
00:40:24Donald Trump has no clue
00:40:25Kwame's right behind Donald Trump too
00:40:27I cannot get a hold of Omarosa
00:40:29Okay
00:40:30So what we're doing is we're trying
00:40:31She chose to leave
00:40:32We informed her that Mr. Trump was coming
00:40:34And she said she was late for a concert
00:40:37Hi everybody
00:40:42Just wanted to let you know
00:40:43Obviously Jessica will not be returning
00:40:45She needs to go straight to stage
00:40:46I could go up there
00:40:47Should we go up there?
00:40:48So she goes on at 8 o'clock, right Kwame?
00:40:50Yeah, she goes on at 8
00:40:51We'll go backstage
00:40:52Okay
00:40:54Kwame, where is she?
00:40:55She should be here
00:40:58Go for Omarosa
00:40:59Go for Omarosa
00:41:00Come on Kwame, time is money
00:41:03Come on Kwame, let's go
00:41:24How are they doing, John?
00:41:25Good
00:41:27They're okay
00:41:29They're okay
00:41:31They're okay
00:41:34So where the hell are they?
00:41:37Go for Omarosa
00:41:38Go for Omarosa
00:41:42Oh my God, that's fierce
00:41:45Yeah, you're not feeling this
00:41:48Tina, what do you think?
00:41:49I think it looks good on you
00:41:56Go for Omarosa
00:41:58She's up in the room
00:41:59Oh
00:42:00Yeah
00:42:02Okay, where to Omarosa?
00:42:04You
00:42:05Okay, Kwame
00:42:06There's a possibility that Jessica Simpson
00:42:07might be up in the suite already
00:42:09Is it easier for us just to go upstairs?
00:42:13Come on, let's go man
00:42:17We went up to the suite
00:42:18It's me, you know, Mr. Trump and Balani
00:42:21He rings the doorbell
00:42:25How are you? Nice seeing you
00:42:27Nice seeing you
00:42:28The tour of the suite was the lovely Omarosa
00:42:30Hi, good to see you again
00:42:32Melania
00:42:33Come on in
00:42:34Good, after you
00:42:36Hello everybody, how are you?
00:42:37How are you?
00:42:38So nice to meet you
00:42:39Hey Nick
00:42:40Melania loves your show
00:42:41Aw, yeah, he's so cute
00:42:43It's really cute
00:42:44Thank you
00:42:45Omarosa I would never hire because
00:42:47she's very intelligent but she's a space cadet
00:42:50You go have a good time
00:42:51Enjoy it tonight, we really look forward to watching
00:42:54It's hard to get in touch with Omarosa
00:42:55on a walkie as well as on a beeper
00:42:57She wastes a lot of time and a lot of effort
00:43:00Actually, I don't have time for that
00:43:01That's not how business is done
00:43:03See you in a little while
00:43:04Okay, good
00:43:05This was the first time that I thought I could be fired
00:43:07I would be fired
00:43:25My advice to Kwame is just to relax
00:43:27Just know that everything is going to work out
00:43:29There's always going to be flaws, you know
00:43:31But don't ever let them know that
00:43:33That there are flaws happening
00:43:35Make it like everything's perfect
00:43:37Is she here, is she ready?
00:43:42She's here, she's getting her earpiece in, and she'll be right out.
00:43:47Here she is.
00:43:48Beautiful.
00:43:49Hi, Jessica.
00:43:50Okay, let's go.
00:43:53Thank you, Mark.
00:43:58Well, I just want to congratulate my staff, Kwame and everybody,
00:44:05because for Operation Smile, they've raised thousands of dollars,
00:44:11really in Jessica's honor.
00:44:13And on behalf of Donald Trump, I'm going to make a $25,000 contribution, Jessica.
00:44:20Okay?
00:44:21So, good luck.
00:44:23Now the person you've all been waiting for, Jessica Simpson.
00:44:29Enjoy it.
00:45:07I definitely feel like the concert was successful.
00:45:08It was sold out.
00:45:10I think the fans were pleased.
00:45:11The meet and greet went well.
00:45:12So, overall the day went really well.
00:45:15So irresistible!
00:45:28I feel like I've come to an end of a long journey.
00:45:29of a long journey. I know I've done a good job, you know, there's some areas I
00:45:33could have done better and I learned a lot about myself and I spent a lot of
00:45:36time with Donald Trump. That in and of itself has been a really valuable
00:45:39experience for me, learning from this icon and learning how he makes decisions
00:45:43and learning how he thinks about strategy and that was one of my
00:45:46objectives in coming on this whole, you know, big journey.
00:45:59Thanks all for coming. Enjoy. The bar is open everybody and I'll be seeing you
00:46:17throughout the evening. Thank you. Feeling pretty good right now. I'm using the
00:46:20analogy of running a marathon. I finished, you know, and I don't know whether or not
00:46:24I won the race but I crossed the finish line and, you know, that's an
00:46:28accomplishment in itself. We're done for war and back girls and boys. I genuinely had my
00:46:33best interest in mind today. Very rare in life can you meet people who
00:46:37genuinely, genuinely want to see you do well. It's rare that you find people like
00:46:40that in this world, I mean, honest to God. This is a love fest. Alright Nick, give me a hug man.
00:46:45This is a love fest. The old team worked better today than it ever has before. The reason is
00:46:51because Nick, Amy and I are no longer competing. We're trying to all achieve
00:46:56the same goal for one person. There's not this many people, Bill, that I would
00:46:59work this hard for, especially not paid. Thanks guys, really. I appreciate it. Last
00:47:05night when I went to bed, I said a little prayer and I said, you know, just let me
00:47:09do the best job I can, God, and let me be who I am and my prayers were answered.
00:47:13Don't tell her. I was Bill Ransom. I gave them a true
00:47:17representation of who I am and I'm comfortable with whatever the outcome is.
00:47:26I'd like to thank everybody for working hard when you didn't have to. We're pulling together. It's finally over.
00:47:37On three. One, two, three. Apprentice.
00:47:42Obviously my team doesn't have to give me any support because they have nothing to
00:47:45lose. They've been great, they've stayed up late, gotten up early and been high
00:47:49energy. Alright, I'm getting in the crib. I want to be the apprentice and I want to
00:47:53take advantage of the opportunity like I told Donald Trump. I'm tired of being in
00:47:56training. Take care. Alright guys, take care. Donald Trump is an icon and so he's
00:48:00someone who, when people said you couldn't do it, always got it done and you
00:48:04know to be able to work under him and be part of his organization, hopefully some
00:48:07of that dust will rub off on me.
00:48:26This is the final boardroom. It's kind of surreal and I don't think I've fully
00:48:44digested it at this point. I didn't sleep a wink last night. I was tossing, I was
00:48:49turning. I don't know what to expect.
00:48:56This one is kind of bittersweet. It brings the game to a conclusion but at
00:49:10the same time, who knows what's going to come out of it. It could be a whole new
00:49:12chapter in, you know, my life.
00:49:19The next few hours, I mean, my life could change drastically. I could be in a
00:49:23completely different echelon of lifestyle than I am now. I could have an
00:49:28opportunity that could change my kids' kids' lives. You could start talking
00:49:31about generational wealth. That's pretty powerful stuff.
00:49:37I'm gonna try, you know, to respectfully take Bill down. That's it. That's all I
00:49:41can do and he's gonna try to do the same. I mean, I've worked with Bill enough now
00:49:44to figure out how he thinks and, you know, what he might think of and try to
00:49:47counter some of that. We're gonna be going head-to-head, mano-a-mano against
00:49:54each other. When it's a one-on-one scenario, I'm gonna do well. It's gonna be
00:49:59a battle down to the end, I think.
00:50:06Say goodbye to the loft.
00:50:17Good luck. Thank you, Jimmy. Thanks, Jimmy D. Hey, Robin. Can you please have a seat over there? Sure. Thanks.
00:50:36Well, we're here. I'm glad that, in the end, it came down to somebody I respect.
00:50:44Because I can make peace with that, you know? Me too.
00:50:48Hi. Hello, how are you? Hello, how are you? Good. How are you doing, little man? You can go right into the boardroom.
00:50:56Good evening. Come on in.
00:51:00So, how did you like the Trump Taj Mahal? It's very nice. Thank you for having us.
00:51:14Did Jessica do a good job? She did a great job. Do you think it was a great concert? It was a
00:51:17great concert. She's got talent. She's good. Did you think Jessica was very beautiful?
00:51:22Well, she's a pretty girl. Pretty or beautiful? She's beautiful. I thought she was beautiful.
00:51:28We can all agree on that. George, I'm not asking you. What the hell do I have to hear about you for? I don't need to hear your answers.
00:51:35I'm not a guy. Holy mackerel. Okay. Jessica was beautiful. And you thought Kwame was good, okay, great? He was good.
00:51:46He did a very good job. I just think he relied on Troy too much, and Troy did a great job.
00:51:50Well, that's not bad if Troy is good. Do you think Troy is better than Kwame? No. I mean, no offense. I mean, I just think Kwame did a very good job, an excellent job.
00:52:00But why did he rely on Troy too much then? They have a very tight bond between them two, and I guess the trust was there, so I respect that.
00:52:07What about Kwame? Because I don't care about you. You've been fired. What about Kwame? Do you love Kwame? He does. He does. He's in love with him.
00:52:16Okay. What about Bill? How did he do? He did a good job. He got it done. What do you think? He did a great job. What do you think? Great job.
00:52:24All right, Carolyn, what do you think? Go ahead. Overall, you know, you had three days to put on a golf outing, a celebrity golf outing, three days.
00:52:32I think Bill was exceptional. Okay. George? I think that Kwame and his team did an exceptional job.
00:52:40I think they were dealing under very difficult circumstances. What were the circumstances?
00:52:44Well, circumstances is, I've been involved in celebrity golf tournaments. You tell the celebrities where to be at what time, and they're there because that's the way the tournament runs.
00:52:53I disagree. The situation where a star, if the star changes the timing, everything else goes wacky.
00:52:58I disagree. You disagree also? Absolutely, 100%. You think the golf tournament is tougher? Absolutely. This is what makes horse racing. I disagree.
00:53:05Yeah, come on. I disagree. Listen, enough of this. Go ahead. Let's talk about our golf tournament. Did Bill do anything wrong?
00:53:12I think Bill overall did not perform at his typical Bill performance. I think that he had a little bit of a frenzied state. I think his performance was spectacular.
00:53:25I think the results were spectacular. He looked pretty cool. He looked pretty cool. Because I know Bill well, and I know how he usually performs, which is at 110%, I think that he was not as calm, cool, and collected as he usually is.
00:53:36So he was good by other standards, but not great by his standards? Correct. What do you think?
00:53:42Some areas of opportunity where he could have improved were just being calm, even though things were going wrong. You didn't think he was calm?
00:53:49He seemed a little ruffled at times. If he delegates something, he just needs to trust his people. Do you think he's got great potential?
00:53:56Oh, he's outstanding. He's a sharp, sharp guy, and I believe if I were you, I'd select him. What ruffled him? Specifically, just the challenges coming at him.
00:54:06What specifically? You say he was ruffled, and Amy said the same thing about him.
00:54:09Lost posters that we were searching for.
00:54:13I think Bill has unbelievable potential, and I think he's a great candidate for this job. I tend to agree with the two of them. I just think that Bill has to show more confidence. Other than that, I think he's a fabulous individual.
00:54:26We had quite the opposite experience with Kwame. Kwame's so cool. At times, I thought he was a bit aloof, and his intensity, when things did go wrong, we didn't see it, and we may have needed to see that so that we could react appropriately.
00:54:41You didn't see intensity, or there was too much intensity? He was too laid back, and there were times when he needed to be a little more hands-on.
00:54:48Does Kwame have the intensity? I think he has the intensity, but I do like to be micromanaged, and I would have liked to be managed a little bit more.
00:54:56There was a time when we actually lost Jessica Simpson. She just cut off all communication with us. I thought he should have been on it and following that particular scenario, and he's just like, okay, we'll just deal with it, and he moved on to the next thing.
00:55:08Is he too laid back? Kwame lost a lot. But he's ready. He's got the formula to success. He's got all the foundations to be a true apprentice.
00:55:16But if you were to act as three employees of Kwame, you would perhaps like to see him have his feather ruffled a little bit. I think what you're telling me is you'd actually like to see that because maybe you need to see that.
00:55:26I'd agree with that. Let me just ask a question, if you will. Have any of you put in your mind what must be going through Donald Trump's mind, hiring somebody to do the job that he wants done, a major position in a division?
00:55:40We're talking about somebody that has the ability to build into a long-term career.
00:55:45And that's Kwame.
00:55:46Okay, George, George, let me ask you this. Who would you choose if you're me? Who?
00:55:52Kwame.
00:55:53Who would you choose?
00:55:54Kwame.
00:55:55Let me guess. Bill, Bill, and Bill.
00:55:58Absolutely.
00:55:59All right, get out of here. You haven't helped me at all. Get out.
00:56:11Tough decision, folks. This is a tough decision.
00:56:28Robin, have them come in, please.
00:56:30Okay, Mr. Trump. You guys can go in now.
00:56:41You know, you have 215,000 people. We're down to two.
00:56:54Right.
00:56:55So you're both outstanding, obviously. But only one of you is going to run one of my companies.
00:57:00And from what I can gather from your teammates, you both have very contrasting ways of doing business.
00:57:06Bill, what do you think is the easier job, the golf tournament or Jessica Simpson?
00:57:10Probably Jessica Simpson.
00:57:12Kwame, what do you think?
00:57:13I think the golf tournament is definitely easier.
00:57:15Now, intensity, drive. A couple of your people wondered whether or not you had the drive or the intensity.
00:57:23And you'd be surprised at who it was that said. What do you think of that?
00:57:27I tend to be calm, cool, and collected. I'm not someone who gets ruffled easily.
00:57:32I'm not someone who, you know, wears my enthusiasm, my energy on my sleeve.
00:57:35I am someone who's more focused, more determined. And, you know, what they say, still waters run deep.
00:57:40What did you think of your teammates? Did anyone give you a hard time?
00:57:43Yeah.
00:57:44Who was it?
00:57:45Omarosa was difficult to manage.
00:57:46But didn't she want to be you? Didn't she really want to be you?
00:57:49She did.
00:57:50She wanted to take your place.
00:57:51She tried to be out in front of the spotlight. You know, that's not my normal tendency.
00:57:53I basically would rather be, you know, the puppet master pulling strings from behind.
00:57:57I was surprised when you picked her early on. You could have picked other people that would have been...
00:58:03You did pick her.
00:58:04Yeah, no, I did pick her.
00:58:05No, not only did he pick her, he picked her very early.
00:58:07I felt like she was the next most qualified person.
00:58:10Do you think you made a mistake?
00:58:11In some ways, yes. In some ways, no.
00:58:13But isn't that risky considering the time that you're at? I mean, this is it. This doesn't go any further than this.
00:58:18It is risky.
00:58:19That was a very risky choice.
00:58:21George, what do you have?
00:58:22From dealing with your people, they felt the task that you had required a lot more micromanagement than you gave it.
00:58:29In other words, when something's going wrong, if the leader doesn't get up and straighten it out or doesn't indicate that it's going wrong, then you're not really leading.
00:58:38All right, Carolyn, what do you have to say?
00:58:40Overall, I think the tournament was a success.
00:58:45I question what your team said about you because they actually made a suggestion that perhaps you appeared a little too stressful and your feathers were ruffled.
00:58:54Not at all. I'm very intense. I realized the importance of being successful in the golf outing.
00:59:00There were a few glitches that came along the way, but I don't think there were many.
00:59:04I mean, I blueprinted a plan that was pretty all-encompassing of any possible scenario that could go wrong.
00:59:10We felt like we covered all the bases.
00:59:12They were saying that you got a little bit flustered under certain circumstances.
00:59:18I mean, I disagree. I didn't at all. I mean, I operate in that environment on a regular basis where it's high pressure, very fast.
00:59:25I'm a perfectionist, and I definitely thought out every possible glitch along the way, and there were a couple that may have been overlooked, but not many.
00:59:33Do you think you're better than Kwame?
00:59:35I think I bring different skills to the table. I've got much more.
00:59:39Do you think you're better than Kwame?
00:59:41In a role like this, yes, I do.
00:59:43Why?
00:59:44Because I've got experience. I've proven myself time and time again.
00:59:47I have desire, and I think I've exhibited the desire that I have to get this job over the last 13 weeks.
00:59:53And you've had a good track record.
00:59:54I've had a very good track record.
00:59:55I don't think his track record is much better than mine in terms of actual task performance.
00:59:59He made maybe two or three more wins.
01:00:00That's a lot.
01:00:01I am here in that I've performed, and I think that you feel confident that I can run one of your companies one day.
01:00:07Do you think over a 30-year period you're going to be a more successful guy than Bill?
01:00:11I think it's going to be neck and neck.
01:00:13Well, that's not so good. What do you think? Do you think you'll be more successful?
01:00:16I think I definitely have a leg up.
01:00:17Why?
01:00:18I just think the entrepreneurial blood that I have in my veins, I'm more versatile.
01:00:22And education is great, and you've worked your tail off to get that.
01:00:25But I don't go on pedigree.
01:00:27When you're out there starting from nothing, and you actually do it, it means a lot more.
01:00:32Kwame, do you think you're going to do a better job for me than Bill?
01:00:35I definitely think I will.
01:00:36I want the job.
01:00:37I don't think he's alone in that, obviously, I want the job.
01:00:39I gave up a lot to be here.
01:00:40You gave up a lot.
01:00:41I gave up a lot to be here.
01:00:42I'll tell you what, Kwame, you gave up a hell of a job.
01:00:44Yeah, a very steady, a very steady.
01:00:46In a way, it scares me.
01:00:47In fact, you both gave up a hell of a lot to be working for the Donalds.
01:00:53I think you're both very outstanding.
01:00:54I have a very, very tough choice.
01:00:59Get the hell out of here.
01:01:15There you go.
01:01:16Got to fight for it.
01:01:23Water.
01:01:25Yeah, I need a little of that.
01:01:29That was interesting.
01:01:31It was good.
01:01:32I think it was fair.
01:01:33I think it was fair.
01:01:34Both men have to articulate why they'd be good and why they want the job, so.
01:01:38It's not hard for you, is it?
01:01:40No.
01:01:42Not at all.
01:01:43Yeah.
01:01:50This is not easy.
01:01:51What do you think, Judge?
01:01:53Well, to say it's a very tough decision, my vote would go with Kwame.
01:01:57I think he handles himself well under pressure.
01:01:59I think he can adapt to some very serious circumstances.
01:02:03I wouldn't hold his track record in the past as much against him at this point as I've seen him now in really the line of fire.
01:02:09I can honestly see him as a better fit in the Trump organization in the long run.
01:02:15That's my feeling at that point.
01:02:17He's outstanding.
01:02:18I agree with you.
01:02:19He's an outstanding guy.
01:02:20He's outstanding.
01:02:21Carolyn?
01:02:22Well, George, I agree with you on Kwame.
01:02:23However, I disagree with the choice.
01:02:25I would go for Bill.
01:02:27You agree with him in what way?
01:02:29He's outstanding?
01:02:30I think Kwame's outstanding, but I do believe he is textbook.
01:02:34Where I think Bill is practical, I actually see him as a better fit in this organization.
01:02:39The whole golf tournament, the hiccups were fairly minimal.
01:02:43I've watched him the whole time.
01:02:44I've seen Kwame the whole time.
01:02:46I think Kwame is too laid back, which perhaps could make employees underneath him a little nervous.
01:02:51You know, Bill held it together.
01:02:52He motivated his staff.
01:02:53That was unpaid.
01:02:54Just fired.
01:02:55I think he was great, and I think he's a better fit.
01:02:58You know what that means, Donald?
01:02:59You've got a divided court.
01:03:00I know what that means.
01:03:02Robin, let him come in.
01:03:04Okay, Mr. Trump.
01:03:06You can go back in the boardroom now.
01:03:24Come on, sit down.
01:03:25Let's go.
01:03:27Three months have gone by, and to be honest with you, two guys have gone through hell.
01:03:33You've seen it all.
01:03:35You've been in the city, the Big Apple, and it's not easy.
01:03:38It's a beautiful place, but it can be nasty.
01:03:41But you know, you're both winners in every sense.
01:03:44You're two out of 215,000 job applicants.
01:03:48That's a record in television history.
01:03:51You've really been through it.
01:03:54I love you both.
01:03:55I've gotten to know you so well.
01:03:57But you know, Kwame, a couple of things bother me.
01:04:01They bother me really big league.
01:04:04Omarosa lied to you.
01:04:06She deceived you.
01:04:08And not only once, but she lied to you twice.
01:04:12Why didn't you fire her?
01:04:13Well, at that time, I really didn't know that was an option, and I also had a job to get done.
01:04:17I knew I was the CEO, but I also had three people that I needed to depend on to get the work done.
01:04:22And so if I would have fired her at that time, basically I would have had two people to do the job, left with three.
01:04:27Why didn't you move her over to the side?
01:04:29She deceived you.
01:04:30I tried to move her over to the side in some roles, but basically Troy was running one part of the organization, and Heidi was running another.
01:04:37And so I didn't think at that time I really could manage both and move her over to the place she needed to be.
01:04:41It just didn't seem to me, and to George, and to Carolyn, that you took a tough enough stand.
01:04:48When somebody deceives you, you have to do something.
01:04:51Now, I don't like just moving them over.
01:04:53I like firing them, and you should have fired her.
01:04:57Bill, your job at the golf course, I thought, was really good.
01:05:02You were a little nervous, a little crazy, but you got the job done.
01:05:06I've had a lot of golf tournaments.
01:05:08I've run a lot of golf tournaments.
01:05:10Carolyn's run more than me.
01:05:12And we both agree, you did a really good job at that golf tournament.
01:05:18Kwame, I think you have an amazing future.
01:05:23You're a brilliant guy, great education, and I have no doubt that you're going to be a big success.
01:05:31But for right now, Bill, you're hired.
01:05:48Alright.
01:06:14Alright.
01:06:15Settle down.
01:06:17Settle down.
01:06:22We've still got some business to take care of, and you look very happy.
01:06:27You knew you were going to get a great job.
01:06:30And here's your first big decision.
01:06:34Bill, you get to choose between overseeing operations at two fabulous locations in my organization.
01:06:43The first, a spectacular building project in Chicago.
01:06:52Soon it will stand tall among the world's greatest towers.
01:06:56It'll be a shimmering jewel in the Chicago skyline.
01:07:00This summer, I plan to begin building the 90-story Trump International Hotel and Tower
01:07:06on the site presently occupied by the low-rise headquarters of the Chicago Sun-Times.
01:07:13With 2,500 skilled craftsmen, a fleet of construction equipment, and $700 million,
01:07:19I intend to erect a modern masterpiece of steel and glass,
01:07:23a five-star hotel and residential building with exclusive condominiums and super-luxury hotel units.
01:07:34It'll be a mind-boggling job to manage.
01:07:37When it's finished in 2007, the Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago
01:07:43could have a value of $1.2 billion and will raise the standards of architectural excellence throughout the world.
01:07:57That is one terrific 90-story building.
01:08:01And next, an equally incredible golf course on the edge of the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles, California.
01:08:09Take a look.
01:08:13The Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles is a spectacular 300-acre resort
01:08:18overlooking a breathtaking stretch of the Pacific Ocean.
01:08:23I bought it about a year ago after the 18th hole slid into the ocean,
01:08:27and some experts claimed it was beyond repair.
01:08:30However, no task is too big for me.
01:08:34I assembled an army of 350 workers and 50 trucks
01:08:38and hauled in 1.7 million cubic yards of earth at a cost of over $200 million
01:08:45to create the most expensive golf course ever built.
01:08:51And to top it off, I'm planning a five-star clubhouse and a premier residential development
01:08:57with 75 custom-designed estates that will sell for between $5 million and $15 million.
01:09:07Managing this property is a huge undertaking.
01:09:09When it opens in August, Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles
01:09:13will be one of the greatest golf courses and clubs anywhere in the world,
01:09:17even superior to Pebble Beach.
01:09:21So?
01:09:22Not bad.
01:09:24That's not bad.
01:09:25Two great options.
01:09:26We better do a good job for you.
01:09:30In the world of big business, decisions need to be made quickly.
01:09:34You're going to find that out.
01:09:36You've got just a couple of minutes to decide which job you want.
01:09:41We'll also get some answers that everyone wants to know about.
01:09:45What about Nick and Amy?
01:09:47What about Nick and Amy?
01:09:49How is Sam doing?
01:09:51And the person who stirred things up more than anybody, Omarosa.
01:09:56What's up with her?
01:10:17The Apprentice.
01:10:41Okay, Bill.
01:10:42You've seen the two job choices.
01:10:44A spectacular California golf course with top-of-the-line mansions on the Pacific Ocean
01:10:50or a great Chicago hotel and residential tower that will redefine the Chicago skyline.
01:10:57You've had three minutes, plenty of time to make a decision.
01:11:01Which is it?
01:11:03Well, Mr. Trump, California has wonderful weather and it's a great opportunity,
01:11:06but Chicago is where I'm from and to me it's the best place in the world.
01:11:14Chicago it is.
01:11:18It's going to be a beautiful building.
01:11:24Don't worry, you're going to have plenty of supervision in that building.
01:11:27I don't care if you're president or not.
01:11:29There's going to be a lot of supervision.
01:11:31I guess I won't be able to rename it.
01:11:32Believe me, you're going to have supervision and I'll be the one supervising.
01:11:36But it's a great choice and you're going to be happy if I'm going to be happy.
01:11:41And what the hell are you doing sitting over there?
01:11:43Get rid of all those people. Get over here.
01:12:07So how do you feel?
01:12:08This is a great place in the world to be right now.
01:12:10I'll tell you that.
01:12:12I just want to let you know it wasn't an easy decision.
01:12:14No, I know.
01:12:15That man right there is some man.
01:12:25He's a competitor and he's a fine guy.
01:12:27And Kwame, I want to congratulate you because, believe me, it was right up until the end.
01:12:32And, you know, it's one of those things.
01:12:35Let's talk to some of the folks in the audience, in the group.
01:12:38Omarosa, you've been so controversial.
01:12:41You've been so controversial.
01:12:43And I've always gotten along so well with you, but you really got caught on tape this time.
01:12:48I mean, you were right on camera.
01:12:50You got caught in a couple of beauties.
01:12:52How do you explain that?
01:12:53Mr. Trump, first of all, let me just say, I need to get this clear first.
01:12:56You suggest hire me, then fire me, rehire me and then fire me again.
01:13:01It's a little confusing.
01:13:02I'm trying to keep up with you.
01:13:04Enough with the excuses.
01:13:06Heidi, what do you think?
01:13:07Wait a minute, Omarosa, please.
01:13:09What do you think?
01:13:16What do you think?
01:13:17Honestly, I think Omarosa and I should go out for a nice two-hour lunch to discuss it.
01:13:24You know, Erica, probably more than any of the 16 contestants, you suffered.
01:13:29You really suffered.
01:13:30Because charges were made against you that were very, very tough.
01:13:33I mean, how do you, how can you respond to it?
01:13:35Mr. Trump, I would have fired her and I would have liked it.
01:13:39She's a liar and I've known that for a long time.
01:13:43Well, I think you suffered a lot and I hope everything's fine.
01:13:48And Omarosa, I hope everything's fine with you and everybody else.
01:13:50Thanks, Mr. Trump. It will be.
01:13:51Really? I'm sure it will be and I hope so.
01:13:53But you've got to straighten out the truth.
01:13:55I mean, in all fairness.
01:13:56Oh, yes, we will. We will.
01:13:57All right, Nick and Amy, this is the weakest romance I've ever seen.
01:14:02This romance is pathetic.
01:14:04Was there a romance? I mean, give us the scoop.
01:14:08We dated briefly after the show and then.
01:14:12It wasn't very hot.
01:14:13No, it wasn't.
01:14:14There was no heat.
01:14:15The most we saw was a little kiss from Amy to you.
01:14:18That's right. That's right.
01:14:19That's all there was.
01:14:20That's not much. Well, that's good, Amy.
01:14:22Good virtue.
01:14:23So there was nothing. So are you together now?
01:14:26No, we're not together.
01:14:28Who broke up with who? I want to know.
01:14:31Amy, would you answer that question?
01:14:32I've always loved this guy.
01:14:33Well, I think we just decided we were meant to be very close friends.
01:14:37Very close friends. That's right.
01:14:38Good. I've had some very close friends.
01:14:40Me too.
01:14:42It's cost me a lot of money.
01:14:52You know, there's a guy in the room named Troy who everybody loves.
01:14:57Everybody loves.
01:14:59What do you have to say?
01:15:04I think that the opportunity that you and Mr. Burnett gave me
01:15:08was an opportunity of a lifetime.
01:15:10And, you know, 15 years ago when I said I was coming to meet you,
01:15:13I was so proud to look my mama and my family in the face to say,
01:15:16I accomplished my goal.
01:15:18And it was an honor to meet you and I'm coming back.
01:15:21Well, you could come back.
01:15:23You really could come back.
01:15:29You know, there are two other people
01:15:31and they really have worked hard.
01:15:33Carolyn.
01:15:40They call her Lady Di.
01:15:42She looks like Lady Di to me.
01:15:44And George.
01:15:45And George.
01:15:51And I've always said about those two,
01:15:53they're two tough, smart people, but they have big hearts.
01:15:57They're good people and you did a great job and I appreciate it.
01:16:00Thank you, Bob.
01:16:06This could really go on for a long time, hours.
01:16:09But we've got some other important business to take care of.
01:16:12Bill, right now you're feeling pretty good, right, my man?
01:16:16You better be feeling pretty good.
01:16:18Well, here's something to make you feel just a little bit better.
