00:00Through Wednesday, we've seen some warm sunshine as temperatures comfortably rose into the low
00:0720s. We'll see some sunshine through tomorrow, but with an easterly component developing
00:12to the wind, particularly across more southern and central areas,
00:17more clouds through into the early hours of Thursday morning, similar situation on Friday.
00:22High pressure, though, continues to affect us, and that means the weather remains
00:26fairly settled, although come Thursday into Friday, an increasing chance of some showers
00:31across more southern areas, which could turn heavy with the risk of thunder and hail through
00:36Friday and, in fact, for the weekend. Now, for the time being, Wednesday evening,
00:40it's pleasant outside. Notice this cloud, though, gradually migrating from the North Sea,
00:46extending across the Midlands, eastern counties towards East Wales, central southern England.
00:50At the same time, we'll see some clouds just lapping along the shoreline of eastern Scotland.
00:56Some har and sea fog across the far northwest of Scotland. Elsewhere, under clearer skies,
01:01expect some mist and fog to form as we head into the early hours of Thursday morning,
01:06and rather chilly here under the cloud and a bit of a breeze across England and Wales.
01:10Temperatures holding up mild across East Anglia as well as the southeast central southern England
01:15as we start Thursday morning, and it will be rather cloudy. This cloud will be rather stubborn
01:20through the morning, but notice it will break, allowing for some sunshine to come through.
01:24Any fog patches burning off quite quickly across central Scotland and Northern Ireland,
01:29northwest of England, West Wales. Through the afternoon, again, it's lovely outside.
01:34We'll see some warm sunshine, still a breeze down towards more southern and central areas,
01:40but a lighter wind further north and feeling warm in that sun as temperatures rise very nicely
01:46to around the low 20s across western Scotland, even Northern Ireland seeing a spot or two
01:52around 2021. Similar situation for Wales and 25 across the southeast of England. So,
01:58Thursday's proving to be another fine day. However, changes are afoot into Friday. Yet again,
02:05we'll see that cloud migrate across the country, penetrating further inland across Scotland as
02:10well, and where the cloud is thick enough, particularly across eastern counties, expect
02:14some patchy drizzle, particularly over the higher ground. Temperatures holding up across England
02:19and Wales, a bit cooler where we see those clearer skies further west, and again, some mist and fog
02:23can't be ruled out, but notice some showers lurking across southern counties, and they'll
02:28develop through Friday. They'll be sporadic, but where you catch one, it could be heavy with the
02:33risk of thunder as well as hail. And so, that's really for central and southern parts of England
02:38and Wales. Elsewhere, it's a fine day, a mix of cloud and sunshine, temperatures yet again
02:43rising into the 20s. The risk of some heavy downpours across England and Wales on Saturday.
02:49West will be best in terms of sunshine, eastern counties of Scotland, northeast England,
02:53seeing that cloud keeping temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius. Brighter skies across more
02:58western areas on Sunday, but we'll see some heavy downpours further south. So, expect some warnings
03:03to be issued through the next few days, but temperatures still into the 20s across more
03:07southern areas. I'll see you later.
