00:00It's been four years and three months since the Galaxy S10 was officially launched, so
00:06I think it's a very good time to re-review it, to make an updated review on this phone,
00:11to find out if it's still worth it in 2023.
00:15As always, let's begin by talking about the exterior design, which, as you can see, is
00:20one of the strong points on this phone, and well, in general, of all Galaxy S phones.
00:25They are made out of aluminum and glass with a simple but elegant design and an unbeatable
00:31feeling in your hands.
00:33If you've ever tried one of the latest Galaxy S phones, you know what I'm talking about.
00:37They're very aesthetic, they have very good materials, and above all, they are very ergonomical.
00:43As for the processor, we have a Snapdragon 855, which was the best processor you could
00:48put on an Android phone four years ago, and therefore, of course, it is an absolute killing
00:53machine in whatever task you throw at it.
00:56Applications work super well, stable and fast, the system moves fluidly without any irregularities
01:02or performance drops, and you can play pretty much all the games you want, although maybe
01:07not at maximum settings, because let's remember this processor is over four years old.
01:12Overall, I think you're going to be very happy with it.
01:15It has a very decent performance, and because it has been around for a couple years, it
01:20is very well optimized.
01:22But hey, let's move on to another very good feature, and quite acclaimed on the S10, which
01:27is the battery.
01:28You're going to get about eight hours of continuous use of screen-on time, which is more than
01:34enough for most people.
01:36I don't know anybody that uses their phone for over eight hours a day, so I think the
01:41world averages like five, six hours of screen-on time, so you're going to get more than enough.
01:47You're always going to get till the end of the day, not just now when you buy it, but
01:50in two, three years when the battery doesn't have 100% capacity, you'll still have an entire
01:56day of usage if you're a normal person.
01:58If you're a crazy user that uses their phone for 10 hours a day, well, maybe you have to
02:02go buy the best battery life phone in existence, but for average people, it's great.
02:08It's incredible.
02:09And we move on to the screen, to the display, another very good component on the S23.
02:15It has an OLED panel with 1,200 nits of brightness and obviously the highest end panel available
02:22at the time it came out, which are specs that are very well ahead of their time.
02:27Remember, this phone came out in 2020 and at the time, 1,200 nits of brightness was
02:33absolutely insane.
02:35And by the way, let me emphasize on the panel quality.
02:38This is something most people don't pay attention to.
02:41They focus on the resolution.
02:42They focus on the brightness.
02:44They focus on whether it has 120 Hertz or not.
02:48But to me, I think the most valuable thing a display on a phone can have is the panel
02:54quality.
02:55That's why the S23 looks so sharp, not because of the resolution, but because of the panel,
03:01the calibration, the viewing angles.
03:04That's what makes a phone look good.
03:06Even then, this phone is 1440p, which is beyond 1080p, unnecessarily high resolution.
03:12It has a 60 Hertz panel.
03:14I think it is the last 60 Hertz panel on a top-tier Samsung phone.
03:20Kind of a shame, but it is also very, very cheap.
03:22And of course, the most important piece, the most important component on this phone, the
03:27cameras.
03:28You're actually seeing me right now with the main camera recording at 4K 60, but it has
03:32three on the back.
03:33It has a 12 megapixel main sensor.
03:35It has a 12 megapixel zoom sensor, and it has a 16 megapixel ultra wide lens.
03:41And of course, like in every video, while I show you the quality of this 4K main camera,
03:47let me tell you that this phone right now has a very, very, very juicy price on Amazon.
03:53I'm going to leave a direct link in the description to Amazon.
03:55So if at the end of the video you decide to buy it, you can check it there.
03:58Although, well, I think Amazon right now is the only place where you can buy it because
04:02Samsung is not selling it officially anymore and because it has a specially low price.
04:06It's always had a very low price on Amazon, but right now it's even cheaper.
04:09So yeah, check it out.
04:11And well, that being said, you've already seen the video quality.
04:14It's time for you to see the pictures.
04:16Like in every video, I'm going to show you between 30 to 40 pictures with some nice background
04:21music, doing zoom so you can properly see the small details on the quality, on the colors
04:26and everything.
04:27And then I'll come back to talk about the selfie.
06:57Okay, so those are a bunch of pictures from the main camera, the zoom camera, the ultra
07:04wide camera.
07:05I think that's the main advantage of buying this phone, a, an old premium phone instead
07:09of a present day, low tier phone, the cameras they feel, although they're not as good as
07:14the S 23 or the S 22 or the iPhones, the new iPhones, you can tell these is not a low to
07:20your phone.
07:21You can tell the, the, the, the quality, the detail, the processing, it's a lot better
07:25than the one on a $200 phone from 2023.
07:28So yeah, I think we can all agree both the cameras on the back and the selfie camera
07:32that you're seeing right now, recording at 30 FPS, 1080 P look at this quality.
07:36You can't really get this with any sub $300 phone, new sub $300 phone.
07:42So yeah.
07:43Summing up all of the points on this phone, the camera, the battery life, the display,
07:48the battery, the price, very, very, very low price on Amazon links in the description.
07:55I think it is, it is an amazing deal.
07:57Sure.
07:58It's not as good as the S 23 duh, but it is very, very, very cheap.
08:03I think it is under $200.
08:04So for that much money, it's way better to buy an S 10 than to buy a low end phone for
08:09the same price.
