00:00Hello, good afternoon, well it was a lovely bright start to the day but it certainly was
00:05quite cold and it is going to remain feeling cold as we head through into this afternoon.
00:10Saying that though, there is going to be plenty of bright autumnal sunshine across most of
00:14the country, a few showers here and there but largely dry for many of us. A different
00:19story across Scotland today, plenty of showers feeding in across the country, these banding
00:24together to bring longer spells of rain, perhaps turning heavy, even a little bit wintry across
00:29the Scottish peaks. Otherwise though, lots of dry weather around but with temperatures
00:35generally around average, it is going to be a cold feeling day and with blustery winds
00:40amongst those showers, that is going to take a kick off of the temperatures too. Now as
00:46we head into the evening, still remaining unsettled across Scotland, plenty of those
00:50showers, outbreaks of rain across the north, this heavy at times and there will still be
00:55some clear spells overnight and that's where it is going to turn chilly, particularly across
00:58Wales, across central areas under those clearest skies, we could see some pockets of frost
01:03once again but a bit more higher cloud around which means it's not going to be turning quite
01:07as cold so less chance of a widespread frost but looking at those temperatures, it is going
01:12to be another chilly night to come. So as we start the weekend, plenty of those longer
01:18spells of rain across Scotland, Northern Ireland and those are slowly going to sink towards
01:22the Scottish borders, northern parts of England so quite a wet day on offer here and quite
01:26blustery under those cloudier skies. It's going to be clearing from the north of Scotland
01:31so brightening up but still plenty of showers, falling asleep and snow still over the hills
01:36and a few showers here and there across England and Wales but otherwise still plenty of that
01:41sunshine to go around. But once again, another cold feeling day and that breeze is going
01:47to be sticking around too so amongst that breeze, this is the feels like temperature,
01:51it is going to be feeling cold so in the sunshine and sheltered spots, not quite as bad but
01:56for many of us, another cold day to start the weekend. Into the evening, that cloud
02:02and that rain will eventually ease away, we've got high pressure building allowing many more
02:07clear spells to develop overnight so another cold night, likely to see quite a widespread
02:12frost in northern areas. So for the second half of the weekend, we can see we've got
02:16high pressure building across the country so once again, lots of that bright sunshine,
02:20still feeling cold though and it's not really until later into the week that we start to
02:24introduce that milder air again so a brief cold spell and turning milder as we head into
02:29next week but that might also mean some wet weathers on its way as well. For more updates
