00:00Hello again, and welcome to your latest update from the Met Office.
00:04It'll be a foggy start across parts of England on Monday,
00:07and there'll be some rain across Wales and Northern England.
00:10It's Scotland and Northern Ireland that'll see the sunniest of the weather.
00:14The bigger picture shows a frontal system moving slowly south-east across the UK on Monday,
00:19and this will bring some patchy rain.
00:21Largely dry to the north of that front,
00:23but strong winds bring another front to western Scotland for Tuesday morning.
00:28So coming back to Sunday evening,
00:30it's cloudy and wet in the north-west with locally heavy rain affecting parts of Scotland.
00:35This rain moves south-east and eases a little overnight,
00:38eventually being followed by drier, clearer conditions.
00:41Ahead of this rain there'll be a lot of dry weather, although drizzle may return to Wales.
00:46Where skies do stay clear though, temperatures will fall to low single figures in places,
00:50with some dense areas of fog forming by morning.
00:54Under any cloud though, it will be milder,
00:56with temperatures there holding closer to 8 or 9 degrees.
01:00On Monday morning then, a band of increasingly patchy rain moves south-east across Wales
01:05and the north of England.
01:07Elsewhere across England, after a grey start with some dense morning fog,
01:10there'll eventually be some bright spells in the afternoon,
01:13with only the east and south-east at risk of seeing any showers.
01:17It's the far north and north-west that'll see the best of Monday sunshine,
01:21returning windy for western Scotland late in the day.
01:24Temperatures will be a little down on Sundays, with highs of around 12 or 13 Celsius.
01:30Monday evening will be rather cloudy and murky across much of England and Wales,
01:35with some patchy light drizzle here and there.
01:38Northern Ireland and Scotland will have clear spells,
01:41although a brisk wind will bring a few showers to parts of western Scotland.
01:46Looking ahead into the middle of next week, there'll be a lot of dry weather in the south,
01:50although often quite cloudy with a risk of overnight mist and fog.
01:54Unsettled weather continues across the far north,
01:57with spells of rain followed by blustery showers and some strong winds.
02:01That's all from me.
