00:00What's up guys so we are here in Miami, Florida and today we are going to be doing a real world
00:07test of the Galaxy Note 10+. One of my favorite old flagships of all time. I'm going to show you
00:13guys why the phone is still a really good purchase. And what's really interesting is
00:20that probably one of the biggest YouTubers, JerryRigEverything, he still uses this phone
00:25if you watch his latest video. So I thought that was pretty interesting as well. I feel like that
00:30sort of solidifies why I like the phone so much. You know, just somebody with that much money still
00:37uses this phone. But yeah, so let's go ahead. It is 1141. I woke up really late, but let's go ahead
00:45and get started. I do want to go ahead and take the time to just go over the design of this phone.
00:50I'm always extremely impressed with the design of this phone with the Aura Glow color. You guys can
00:57see that that color shifting. And also it's just a really nice looking phone that, you know, came
01:02out in 2019, but it still looks very, very modern even in 2024. It's got an aluminum frame, glass
01:08back, IP68 dust and water resistant. And of course you've got that built-in stylus. This is actually
01:13a pretty light phone compared to the Galaxy S24 and the S23 Ultra. I was really impressed with
01:19that. So it doesn't feel like super, super heavy compared to those phones. That was one of the
01:23first things I noticed when, you know, I just started using this phone. So this is the Bayside
01:28shopping area and everything is being recorded on the Note 10 Plus here, 1080p60. I was really
01:34impressed with the video in the daytime. That's why I was telling you guys, excellent video in
01:39the daytime. Like when I show you guys, it might like struggle a little bit when we get to like
01:43lower light, but you guys can see in the daytime, awesome, awesome footage. And just saw a bunch of
01:48cool phone cases and cool little shopping things. But yeah, I was really impressed. That dynamic
01:54range, the color, everything still looks pretty good.
02:18All right, so let's talk about the display. So the Note 10 Plus has a really beautiful display.
02:26It's a dynamic AMOLED panel at HDR10+. It's 6.8 inches, so it is a pretty big phone. It's got that
02:33boxy design to it. So like I said, it's not like really hard to hold if you have like bigger hands,
02:39but if you have smaller hands, I think it's kind of like a stretch. It's 1440p498 for the PPI.
02:45And it's just a beautiful panel, guys. Really nicely saturated, beautiful colors. Still beautiful
02:50bezels on here as well too. Punch hole in the middle. Just a great display when you're looking
02:55at content. Now, this is the thing that I noticed just from using like the newer phones, is that if
03:00you're into somewhere really sunny, like Florida, direct sunlight, if you're outdoors, then you'll
03:05notice like, dang, I can't really see the screen that well as compared to like the S24, the S23,
03:10stuff like that. So yeah, that was the only thing about the screen that I thought was dated, I
03:15guess. But everything else, like yeah, you don't have 120 hertz, but it's still a pretty smooth
03:19panel. All right guys, right now we made it to the Ferris wheel, but I want to show you guys
03:25the aquarium and how it handled low light because it was pretty dark inside of there.
03:30So we're going to go ahead and head over there.
04:45All right guys, so I want to go ahead and talk about the still photography.
04:49So I was pretty impressed, like we saw with the low light video. Like I said, the newer phones
04:53would do, you know, of course better, but I didn't think it was that bad. But I want to talk about
04:57still photography where I think this phone is still pretty exceptional. It's got a 12 megapixel
05:02standard, a 12 megapixel telephoto with two times optical, and then a 16 megapixel ultra wide. It
05:08has a 0.3 depth sensor, and then it shoots in 4k 60 on the back. 10 megapixel selfie, which also
05:13shoots in 4k 60. And from the shots here, like I said, I was pretty impressed with the color,
05:19dynamic range was pretty nice on here. I even thought the low light photography,
05:23as far as the stills, it wasn't too bad. But like I said, that's one thing where with the S24,
05:28S23, you'll notice like a noticeable difference in terms of like clarity. Sometimes it can get
05:33a little bit grainy. But yeah, I was not that, you know, I was not that disappointed by the shots.
05:41The only thing that I wish, you know, that I was lacking or that I was wanting was the
05:46telephoto lens. I forgot it's only two times, right? So I'm used to, you know, the S24 or the
05:52newer phones having like the five times, the 10 times, stuff like that. Just getting to be able
05:58to get really good zoom shots. But yeah, other than that, I think for the average person,
06:02just pointing clicks, this is still going to do a really good job. All right, so next we headed to
06:07HiPot. It's a restaurant. And I think we're at, yeah, we're at 68% here. And this phone was doing
06:14really well on battery life. Now, I wasn't using it as much. I try not to, would try not to use
06:20the phone too much when I'm trying to talk to people or, you know, be social or whatever. But
06:25yeah, I think the Note 10 plus battery life wise is still doing a pretty decent job. Like I said,
06:29it can get through a day, close to six hours of screen on time. And this is my first time having
06:35traditional ramen. And you guys can see the footage here. Like I said, it's a little bit
06:41softer. You guys can tell a little bit grainier. But I think still looks kind of decent. But yeah,
06:47this is where you really start to see that it's kind of struggles in low light. But yeah,
06:53I thought the ramen was pretty good. Totally different from, you know, the stuff that you
06:58would put in the pack and the microwave and stuff like that. So I was really impressed with it. I
07:02thought it was really good. All right guys, here we are back in the hotel room here and I was just
07:07really tired. So I just wanted to lay down. But I want to talk about gaming on this phone because
07:13it still does a fantastic job. So the phone has its last major upgrade, Android 12 when you are
07:19four, Snapdragon 855. You also have micro SD card support, 256 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs
07:25of RAM on the base model. So the Note 10 plus is still extremely fast and it really, there's
07:31nothing really can't do. It plays PUBG HDR extreme and it just flies through the OS. It was still a
07:37very smooth phone, whether you're web browsing or multitasking or whatever. And these phones are
07:43super cheap now. You can find them for around the $200 price point. And yeah, I just, the performance
07:49wise, it was not never a thing that I thought about. It didn't stutter. It wasn't slow. It just
07:54was a really fast phone. And lastly, I want to talk about the battery life and just the battery
07:59specs and what to expect. I think, like I said, the phone was pretty much like around 50% by the
08:06time I was ready to go to bed. I wasn't using it, like I said, as much, like as hard. I wasn't
08:10driving, using GPS and stuff like that. So yeah, I still think this phone can easily go close to
08:16six hours if you are a light user. If you're a heavier user, play a lot of games and stuff like
08:20that, then it'll probably be somewhere around four to five. But you have a 4,300 milliamp hour
08:26battery, pretty actually pretty fast charging at 45 watts, wireless and reverse wireless charging
08:31is on board here. And like I said, the battery experience was pretty good for me for the most
08:37part. So yeah, so I was really impressed with the Note 10+. This is why I have it as one of my
08:43favorite phones of all time up there with the OnePlus 7 Pro. It's just a great experience,
08:48you know, from front to back. So be sure to let me know what you guys think of the Note 10+. Do you
08:53still have one? Are you planning on upgrading? Let me know and I'll catch you guys in the next one.
