00:00Guys, we're back with another video and this is a very commonly asked question. Should you get the s22 ultra or the s21?
00:07Ultra here. What are the pros and cons if you are in the old, you know flagship marketplace here
00:13So there are some pros and cons. So let's get into it. So the s22 ultra is going to cost you around
00:19400 bucks while you can pretty much get a
00:22S21 ultra as crazy as it sounds for around 300 bucks
00:26And that was the last price that I actually saw it here and the prices do fluctuate
00:32But yeah around 321 or hardware wise here. Both phones are really nice-looking. I
00:38Personally prefer the s21 because it's not as boxy and it's easier to hold
00:44Especially for me with smaller hands and you can see in the palm
00:47It doesn't actually cut into the palm like the the s22 here
00:52So it's just way more comfortable to hold especially since these are massive phones
00:56So that's definitely one thing. I think the designs on both of these two phones still look really good here in
01:032024 here a lot of people like that cutout on the s21, but you know, they look great on both
01:09So they both have s-pen support as well too, which is something to note
01:13It's just that the s20 twos is built in you have to buy the s-pen separately with the the s21
01:20But it you know, it does where you can buy a spin case with it
01:23They're both ip68 dust and water resistant as well too. And of course, they're both glass and metal phones. So hardware wise
01:30They're pretty evenly matched
01:33But it just depends on you know, what you like. Do you really want the s-pen built-in?
01:37That's probably like the biggest pro of the s22 ultra hardware wise. Let's talk about the display
01:43So they're both the same size at 6.8 inches. They're very minor differences here
01:48So the s22 again has that more boxy shape while the s21 has a more curved shape and again easier to hold the
01:56S21 in the hand now spec wise. They're both pretty much identical in terms of resolution
02:02They both have the dynamic AMOLED display 120 Hertz HDR 10 plus on both
02:07They're both 1440p and they both have you know, a 500 PPI pretty much
02:12All right, so the difference here is that the s22 ultra has a slightly higher max brightness at
02:191750 nits while the s21 has a 1500 nits max brightness and that's pretty much it like outdoors
02:26It's not that much different, you know the viewing angles and stuff like that being able to see in direct sunlight
02:32So yeah
02:32So I would say there's not really a big difference when it comes to display that I think anyone would really notice
02:38Like I said, the biggest difference is really, you know, how these phones fit in the hand
02:42but it comes down to how you like looking at the screens right because the
02:46The s22 has a more like a TV type of screen and the s21 does not so it I think the s22 looks visually more
02:54Appealing but this is way more easier to hold the s21. So I think it comes down to that
02:59all right guys, so both phones have Android 14 when you are 6.1 and
03:05The s21 s22 is gonna be a little bit faster than the s21
03:09Of course, it's got the snapdragon 8 gen 1 on here versus the triple-a processor
03:14But there's not really a big difference here in performance
03:17this is 128 gig version 8 gigs of RAM is 256 12 gigs of RAM and
03:23Yeah, so performance wise it's not really that big of a difference where you will see a big
03:29difference with the software is actually
03:32When we get to the AI features here
03:34so the s22 got the AI features and the s21 only got one AI feature, which was the
03:41circle to search
03:43so yeah, so
03:44You know if the AI features is something that you think will be useful to you is something that you see yourself using a lot
03:50Then you definitely, you know would like the s22, but if not, you know, essentially they are the same speed and
03:59Will give you pretty much the same performance it to my launch games a little bit faster
04:04Here, but just to show you guys like the speed difference and the s21 actually got it there
04:12Yeah, but you're not really gonna see a you know a massive difference here with performance
04:21They both feel the same as far as like animations and scrolling stuff
04:25So again, I wouldn't think I wouldn't go into this
04:29Purchasing decision thinking that this one one is gonna be faster than the other realistically. They're both about the same
04:35All right. So let's talk about the overall gaming performance
04:38I do think that the triple-a chip it does heat up a little bit more than the
04:43Hn1 like it just gets warmer when you like in the camera or just playing games again
04:49I've never had this phone actually crash on me or anything like that
04:52But yeah
04:54It's you can definitely play games. You can see you could play pub G at 90 frames on the s21. No problem
05:00And yeah, I don't have an actual issue with the overall gaming performance here
05:06Now with the s22 ultra again, it's essentially the same performance here
05:16You know, you can play at HDR extreme so again not a big difference
05:20But just right now the s22 ultra is not as warm as the s21 ultra
05:25So yeah, I would say if you game a lot like if you're a very heavy gamer, I would probably get the s20
05:32to ultra here just simply because
05:35It just doesn't heat up as much to me. So we got these speakers at max volume. We're gonna start with the s22

06:05So immediately I could tell the difference and this is something that I've always been saying
06:09The s22 speakers are just not that great
06:13I think it's some of Samsung's worst speakers the s21 ultra just sounds fuller and it's actually louder
06:18So yeah, so the better speaker is definitely the s21 ultra it's very obvious
06:24So that was one of the things I just never liked about the s22
06:28Fingerprint scanner they both ultrasonic both the same pretty much and you also can take advantage of face unlock here as well, too
06:35Now the camera specs aren't really that different from each other
06:39So both of these cameras have a hundred eight megapixel standard both of them have a 10 megapixel telephoto with three times
06:47Optical they both have a 10 megapixel periscope telephoto as well with 10 times optical
06:53They both have a 12 megapixel ultra-wide. They can both shoot in 12 an 8k
06:5924 and then they both have a 40 megapixel camera with 4k 60, you know video
07:05So basically you have the same camera specs on here
07:08They both do the 100 times a max zoom
07:11But you well, just let me know if you guys spot like the difference here with the image quality
07:16Because that could play a big, you know factor into

08:54Let's talk about battery life
08:56So battery life has gotten I think better on both of these phones since the one UI a 6.1 update
09:02Especially the s22 ultra here standby time is so much better on the s22 as well as the s21
09:09so that's one thing that I like they both have 5,000 milliamp hour batteries and then you have 45 watt charging on the
09:17S22 so you do have faster charging compared to the 25 watt on the s21 as well
09:22They both have wireless and reverse wireless charging the battery life has gotten better
09:26You know battery life is not crazy impressive, but you can squeeze six hours of screen on time out of these phones
09:32But I would say that a slight edge to the s22 for sure, but that is pretty much it guys
