00:00What's up guys, so this is a requested video. Today we got the S23FE versus the Note
00:0720 Ultra here. So pretty interesting comparison here because they're both at the same price or around the same price in the used
00:16refurbished marketplace here. So I thought I'd do this request for you guys. So you can see you can find the S23FE
00:22376 is the lowest I'm seeing it and then for a Note
00:27I'm pretty sure it is still around the
00:31Yeah, 360 price point. So it hasn't really moved that much
00:36339 so yeah, so you'll pay about the same for both of these phones
00:40So the question is should you get the S23FE? What are the benefits and
00:45Let's go ahead and get started here. So let's talk about the hardware here
00:50So the S23FE is a you know, kind of a big phone
00:54Of course, the the note is going to be a little bit bigger
00:56I think the S23FE is a little bit easier to hold it's and you know
01:02It's curved at the edges. So it fits in the palm a little bit better as
01:05Opposed to the note it's kind of you know boxy and if you have kind of smaller hands
01:10It could be a stretch to hold for sure
01:12So that's one thing to note here
01:14And then you also have IP68 dust and water resistant on both and both of these phones are glass and metal phones
01:20Now the big hardware difference here with the note is that you actually do have a built-in S Pen
01:27So with the S Pen you could take advantage of a lot of functionality
01:31You know, you could jot down notes
01:34Of course, you can just navigate the OS with it and then you can also
01:38You know take pictures with the button because it is Bluetooth from a distance
01:42There's a lot of cool things you can actually do with the note. I've seen people do digital artwork
01:45So it's definitely a cool thing
01:47but it's definitely, you know a niche thing that you may or may not use another big thing with the
01:53Note is that it does have SD card support
01:56So you do have expandable storage on here as well too that you can take advantage of
02:01All right. So when we get to the display here, you can see the note does have a much bigger display
02:07It's a 6.9 inch display. It's 1440p dynamic AMOLED. It's 120 Hertz and HDR 10 plus
02:13The only thing about the note's display is that it can only run 120 Hertz in 1080p
02:18You also do have 496 for the PPI as well
02:22The S23 it does have a 6.4 inch display and then it does have the dynamic AMOLED display
02:29120 Hertz HDR 10 plus and a
02:321450 nits peak brightness on here as well too and this has 403 for the PPI
02:37So the the note does technically does, you know have a higher resolution display and a higher PPI
02:44Color-wise, they actually look pretty much identical. They're both very vibrant very colorful displays on here as well, too
02:50So that's something that I really like as well. And yeah, so I think when it comes down to the display
02:55I think it really comes down to do you want a big display or a smaller display?
03:00Yeah, the the S23 is definitely easier to hold but if you're watching content, I think you'll really enjoy the the notes display
03:07It's very big. It has the kind of design that looks like a movie, you know
03:11Like a like a TV screen, right?
03:13and then also one thing you'll notice here is that the note does have a curve to it and the
03:21S23 is completely flat as well, too
03:23And then you'll kind of notice the S23 also has kind of a chunkier bezels here as well, too
03:30But overall, I think the note has a technically a better display
03:35But it really comes down to your personal preference on size and everything like that because you're both you're forced to use both of these
03:41Phones. Well this one you have to use that 1080p, but this one you don't have to but you can't use 120 Hertz
03:47So you're kind of you kind of have to use the notes display at you know, 1080p
03:51All right. So let's talk about these specs here. So on Geekbench 6 we do have on the note the Snapdragon 865
03:59Again a micro SD card support 128 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs of RAM on the base model
04:05The S23 does have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
04:09It's running Android 14 and then we also have 128 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of RAM
04:15So you can see the the big score difference here
04:17The S23 I think is going to be the faster device when it comes to benchmarking, of course
04:22And yeah, there also is something to note here as far as the software with the note
04:27It's only getting security patches
04:30Running Android 13. That was the last major OS update and it's not too much of a difference as far as software
04:38but the big difference here is actually going to be the Galaxy AI so you do get the Galaxy AI on the
04:45you know on the
04:47Yes, 23 FB. So you get to take advantage of all of the features and I'm sure they'll be adding stuff as time goes on
04:53So if the Galaxy AI features, you know matter to you
04:58Then you have all that here and that's something that the note does not have access to
05:02So you get to take advantage of the everything you see here the photo editor, you know live interpretation and stuff like that
05:09Translations, so it's very very cool stuff
05:12Definitely something to consider and yes, the s23 FB does have Samsung desktop support as well, too
05:18So yes, you are gonna have more features and more software updates with the s23 FB
05:23Now as far as the gaming performance goes both phones to do a fantastic job when it comes to gaming the note still plays
05:31PUBG at HDR or smooth 90 frames and
05:36Yeah, it runs really well on here
05:38I have no issues with gaming and again
05:41I've been getting some questions about gaming performance on the note and I have the snapdragon version guys
05:47So I can't really say for the Xenos version. So I just want to just throw that out there
05:52But for the s23
05:54Fe this one is pretty much the same as well, too
05:58But the only thing with this one is it's not optimized for 90 frames for pub G
06:03But you know, if you're a gamer this phone does, you know, an excellent job playing games as well to you call the G mobile
06:10You know, whatever a fortnight. So whatever you throw at, you know, both of these phones
06:13They do a fantastic job, but I do think the note is a little bit more optimized
06:17But this could you know get these settings, you know in a few more updates or something like that
06:22But yeah, so gaming I think is pretty much a tie on both of these phones
06:26All right. So let's check out these speakers. We're at max volume
06:47I
07:05Definitely think the the note is a little bit louder
07:08But the s23 Fe definitely has more bass to it as well. So I would say this is the more bassier
07:15Sounding phone. It's not as loud as this one
07:18But this one it kind of makes the the note sound a little bit flat in comparison. So two very good speakers
07:25It just depends on your personal preference here now
07:29there is one thing here the note does have the
07:33Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, so it's a little bit faster than the optical one on the s23 Fe
07:40This one is pretty good though
07:42It works really well, it feels almost like a like a
07:46Ultrasonic one, but you just have to apply just a little bit of pressure
07:51That's how you could tell the difference with the ultrasonic ones
07:54You can lightly like barely tap it and it'll come in this one
07:57You have to put a little bit of pressure on it
08:00All right. So here's the thing that I thought was most interesting was the camera
08:04So I'm gonna show you guys these side-by-side stills as always and let me know what you guys think
08:08So the note here it does have a hundred eight megapixel standard
08:12It has a 12 megapixel periscope telephoto with five times optical zoom and then it does have the 50 times
08:19Hybrid zoom on here. It's you an 8k 24 with a 10 megapixel selfie that shoots in 4k 60
08:25The s23 Fe has a 50 megapixel standard and then you have a 8 megapixel telephoto with three times
08:31Optical 12 megapixel ultra-wide this one also shoots in a
08:36K24 and then you have a 10 megapixel selfie that shoots in 4k 60 check out these side-by-side stills. Let me know what you guys think
09:01You
09:31You
10:01You
10:07All right, so lastly let's talk about battery life
10:10So what's interesting is both of these phones actually have the same size battery
10:144,500 milliamp hour battery on both of these phones
10:17They have the same charging speeds at 25 watts and then they both have wireless and reverse wireless charging the s23 Fe
10:25Definitely has the better battery life. It has a better standby time. This phone has the better battery life
10:30Just straight up the note has it has good battery life
10:34I'm able to get six hours of screen on time out of this phone
10:37If I'm not if you're not gaming heavy and stuff like that
10:39But definitely the s23 Fe has impressive battery life and this is most likely due to just a more efficient processor
10:46One here as well, too. So that is pretty much it guys
10:51So there's definitely some pros and cons of these two phones here
10:55Like like I said with the note you get a bigger phone you get the s-pen you also get SD card support
11:01and the s23 Fe it does have the galaxy AI features longer software updates and
11:09You also get better battery life with this phone as well, too. So definitely something to take into consideration
11:15Let me know what you guys think and I'll catch you guys in the next one
