00:00So, trade deadline. Trade deadline. And, look, TikTok, right? Deadline's Tuesday, and I think
00:08some people are getting antsy. Because if you look at what's going on, stuff's happening
00:13around the league. You know, just this week, Christian Derusale, left tackle, gets hurt
00:18in Minnesota, and they trade for Jacksonville backup Cam Robinson to fill that hole. Ravens,
00:22right, Kang? What was that? Ravens got the receiver.
00:26Deontay Johnson from the struggling Carolina Panthers.
00:29Yeah, so you're looking at teams making moves, and what's the hangup here? With all this
00:35stuff whirling around, and our team hasn't made a move yet. And I know some people have
00:41the default position that we are incompetent, or some people have the default position that
00:46our guy's a moron. I can't believe he's sitting on his hands. We've got sleep at the wheel
00:52accusations, which, you know, I mean, there's been nobody that's proven to be more competent
00:57that's run the Lions than our guy. So if it's being run competently,
01:02what would make the most sense why something hasn't been added yet? Because we've probably
01:09passed the zero hour for adding somebody right now and having them play on Sunday.
01:15So Sunday's game wasn't any kind of deadline for them.
01:20But they still could have swung a trade, so why haven't they yet?
01:24Here's what I think is going on. I think Brad Holmes has a deal or two in place. Right now,
01:33just pull the trigger, make the call, and the deal would be done. Like that. I think he's
01:37probably agreed to terms with a couple of teams for a couple of trades. Now, is it,
01:44and I don't mean they'll make two, I think he's probably got a couple things in that are
01:49that are basically the parameters have been laid out and both sides would agree to it.
01:54He just hasn't pulled the trigger yet. Well, why hasn't he pulled the trigger?
01:58What would make sense? What makes sense is that you have a number of teams that have said to Brad
02:05Holmes, I want to wait to see what happens all the games leading up to the trade deadline.
02:14Because even though you look at teams and you go, well, Cincinnati's fading or Cleveland's
02:18fading, Raiders have no shot. It's hard to convince those teams to give up on the season
02:24because if you trade a big piece, your Cincinnati, Cleveland, maybe even the Raiders, and I don't
02:30think the Raiders are going to move on from Max Crosby. If you trade a big piece, you're giving
02:36up on the season and your entire locker room knows it. And if you're Cleveland, you have to make sure
02:44you got to make sure that Jameis Winston isn't lightning in a bottle and can be the next Baker
02:48Mayfield, even though I doubt it. I think they're making sure. I think Cincinnati
02:56doesn't want to move Trey Hendrickson because they're still going to have Joe Burrow next year
03:00and they can try and win next year too. But I also think if they win this weekend at four and five,
03:06it doesn't make sense to give up if you're just a game under 500. So I'm going to, I think what's
03:13happened here is that the Bengals, the Browns, the Raiders to an extent, maybe even Jacksonville,
03:19they've got players that you could use, have all told Brad Holmes, wait till after Sunday.
03:26And maybe it wasn't like, they're not saying it today. They might've said it a week ago,
03:30two weeks ago. We want to see all of our games leading up to the trade deadline.
03:33And that's why I think he's waiting. I think he's waiting because there are bigger deals to be had.
03:39He's just waiting to see who's going to be a willing trade partner
03:42to essentially pull the plug on their season.
03:46I think there is a football game on Sunday. The Detroit lions fans should be watching
03:51with great interest. It's one o'clock game lines playing with the four 30 game.
03:57There's a one o'clock game where the chargers are at the Browns and we're all talking about the
04:04Browns, right. And area Smith and rightfully so. And yes, I think the point has been made that
04:09not only by you, but by others that, you know, if they think they're still in it,
04:14then they're not going to, if they Cleveland wins, then they feel like they got something
04:18going with James Winston. They've got two in a row here under his belt. Let's let's go. Let's,
04:22let's make a run for it. You know, Steelers are on top of division at six and two, but the Steelers
04:26don't feel like this juggernaut of a team feels like they're a team that's gotten by and won some
04:30close games and okay. They've played well enough, but then maybe Cleveland feels like they can get
04:35something done. So Cleveland wins. What does that mean for the chargers? The chargers have dropped
04:41the four and four and they're in a division with Kansas city. Who's seven and Oh, uh, Denver is
04:46five and three in that division. If Denver wins, then they have a couple of games up on, on the
04:51chargers. So it becomes interesting because the chargers, they have some players we'd like,
04:58or at least one Khalil Mack, I think would, would be a nice addition to the lions for the, uh, the
05:04address position. So there are players out there and I agree with you that I think that maybe not
05:11for the same reason, but I think that things are going to, they're going to wait until Monday or
05:14Tuesday to pull any kind of trade because teams are still not sure where they're at this season.
05:20They're ready to give up. If they lose, you hang on as long as you can hang on. Yes. You try and
05:26win as long as you can try and win. And, and I will say that we have some experience in this field
05:33of being a team that is out of the playoffs, but looking at it and going, you know, only a game and
05:38a half out, things can change in a hurry. Yeah. And the other thing with Cleveland's at area Smith
05:43is he signed for another season, right? So they're in no, they don't have to move him.
05:50Like if they feel that they they're just a player or two away from really competing,
05:55you know, they, they realized that the Sean Watson thing isn't going to work out. I mean,
05:58he's out because of an injury. But if they found something with Jamis Winston, or if they feel
06:03like they can get some other players healthy and, and add to this team and maybe 2025 is their year,
06:09then why get rid of the book and defensive ends? Why break that up with Miles Garrett
06:14and Zedaria Smith? I mean, yeah, you can get something for Zedaria Smith, but if it's a fourth
06:18round pick, you try selling your fan base at a fourth round pick is, is, is fun because it's not
06:25no, it's not. And, and that has been thrown out there and we'll play the soundbite is that area
06:29Smith is there's a potential out after this year, his cap hit next year is I believe it's only 1.5
06:39million because, you know, you wouldn't be responsible for the bonuses. So, um, I mean,
06:44that's very, very, very, very affordable. So that's why I'm sitting here. I think a big trade
06:53is still possible. I think it's up to the teams that have those players that, that are most
06:59coveted, getting all the possible information, all the data they can, which is this last game.
07:06Do we win this last game? Does some others lose? Do we creep within a game and a half,
07:12two games of the playoffs? And is that good enough to go for it? That's what I think is
07:16going on here. Gator. I think a big trade is still possibly in play. And I think it's also
07:23possible that Brad Holmes will go. All right. You asked me to call back. I'll call back. Hello, Mr.
07:28Cleveland Brown. I'm asking you to call. Oh no. Okay. You, you want, you're going to stick with
07:32your group. All right. Thank you. Click. Hello, Cincinnati Bengals. Oh, you, you still want to
07:37keep, okay. You're still going for it. All right. All right. Cool. Click. Hello, Vegas Raiders.
07:43Okay. You never even want, okay. Got it. Yup. Yup. Click. Hello. Like just keep calling everybody
07:48back after they have all the information and, and figure out if you have a willing trade partner.
07:56And if not, then you start getting into the Judeavian Clownies or Baron Brownings or
08:04Aziz Ojolari. I've seen that name thrown around. You start getting into that tier of players.
08:09I've thrown out Carl Granderson from New Orleans. Yup.
08:15You know, that, that's that next tier. Like now again, it will Tennessee part with Harold Landry
08:24or Arden Key. I think you've kind of got three tiers there. I think Harold Landry, one Arden
08:29Key two and Sebastian Joseph day three, as far as the, the want list they might because Tennessee,
08:37even if they win this weekend, do they play this weekend? I don't think they're going to buy it.
08:40They don't. Right. If Tennessee wins this weekend, they're not, uh, it's not like it's going to
08:46change their mind. Yeah. They play new England. Yeah. No, Tennessee's done. Yeah. They, so that,
08:50that might be the one where they've got a deal struck. He's just waiting to see if he can get
08:54a better deal Monday or Tuesday. Cause you know what you'd hate to do? Strike a deal right now
08:57for let's say a Sebastian Joseph day. And then find out on Monday that actually the Browns are
09:05willing to move players. Well, but at the same time you can do both. You can add two players
09:12that trade deadline. Nothing says you only have to do one. They are missing. They're starting
09:17to defensive ends. That would be over the years. Yep. So
