So yeah, you CAN do Cleans with a Trap Bar! This is 160lb or so. You wouldn't believe how much harder it is to Push Press(or Jerk) without a bar resting on you! The arms have to be OVERCONTRACTED to brace enough to help send the weight overhead. Would this be helpful for Arm Wrestlers?? Maybe. I'm getting ready for a Weightlifting meet and am using these to help me be better at bracing with a regular bar. It looks weird l know, BUT there's a lot of good stuff going on. Hope you try it out.
