00:00Hello there, very good afternoon to you. It is a calm weekend ahead for many of us, and
00:06that's because high pressure is set across the UK, bringing relatively light winds for
00:10most of us. But where those isobars are a little bit closer together across the south-west
00:13and particularly in the north-west, there is a bit more of a breeze around, perhaps
00:17a gust of 30, 35 miles an hour along coastal areas of northern Scotland. But despite the
00:22calm nature, it is certainly very cloudy for the vast majority of us. A lot of grey skies
00:27around. Can't rule out the odd spot of drizzle, but it should be relatively dry for most of
00:31us. Temperature is actually a couple of degrees above average for the time of year, generally
00:35ranging between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius. So outside, not faring too badly, but it probably
00:41will feel quite chilly inside your houses and any buildings just because of the lack
00:45of sunshine heating anything up. As we head into this evening, and if you do have any
00:50bonfire night celebrations, it should stay largely dry. Again, I can't rule out the odd
00:54spot of drizzle, particularly around any higher ground sites where that cloud is thicker enough.
00:58The best of any clearer spells overnight looking to be across the far north-east of Scotland.
01:02So here we could see temperatures drop down a bit more, but maybe even some patchy frost
01:06in rural areas of Moray, Aberdeenshire, elsewhere underneath that cloud. It certainly is going
01:11to be a mild one. Most of us will be holding up either side of 10 degrees Celsius as we
01:16start off Sunday morning. And really, as we do head throughout Sunday, it is a very similar
01:20picture. Widespread grey skies across the board. There is perhaps the chance into the
01:25afternoon that we start to see a few brighter, sunnier spells developing a bit more than
01:29we have seen over recent days. But really, they are going to be limited once again to
01:33the north-east of Scotland, generally, maybe even some eastern areas of England as well.
01:37The odd spot of drizzle is possible once again, but most of us should stay dry. Those temperatures
01:41perhaps down by a degree or so compared to where we are today. So more around 12 or 13
01:47as your top temperatures. And that theme continues right into Sunday evening as well.
01:52Cloud persisting to end the day. The best of any of those clearer spells will be across
01:56north-eastern areas of Scotland. Perhaps here we could see some fog developing and it will
02:01again be quite misty and murky around some coastal districts. Was there any sign of things
02:06to change? Well, not really. High pressure is staying with us as we head into the new
02:10working week. That means the cloud is still with us as well. Again, any brighter spells
02:15are going to be fairly limited. But with a slight change in our wind direction towards
02:19the middle part of the week, we will start to see those temperatures climbing up a little
02:22bit more. So by Wednesday, things turning a little bit milder for all of us. That's
02:27all for now. I'll see you later for your next update from 6pm this evening. Bye bye.
