00:00I guess we'll start, unless you disagree with it, let's start with the latest with the smallest man controversy. What's going on?
00:05Josh was like, hey, it'd be funny if we did a diss track.
00:08So I asked Josh for it and he sent me the entire first part of the song, did the hook, did everything.
00:14And Rome was like, Jesus Christ, this is actually pretty good.
00:17Rome hit me up, said we got to work on something.
00:18They're like, can you go down to Miami on Monday and record with them?
00:23And I was like, sure.
00:23I have so many talents and abilities, I can't even count them.
00:26Rapping is not one of them, so I'm not good at it.
00:29He kind of had the bars a little bit.
00:31And then when we had the auto-tune on him, I was like, he almost sounds like a 48-year-old Jewish future.
00:36And I said that to him and he's like, yeah, I get that a lot.
00:43Yeah, so big story of the internet this week, the BFFs, Zach Bryan diss track.
00:47I guess we'll start, unless you disagree with it, let's start with the latest with the smallest man controversy.
00:52What's going on?
00:53Josh was like, hey, it'd be funny if we did a diss track.
00:56And Dave was like, ha ha, yeah, funny, good one.
01:00And then just didn't think anything of it.
01:01And I was like, don't you think we should do this?
01:03And he was like, yeah, but like it took me four months to write Rise Pastries Rise.
01:09And so he's like, maybe just not going to be worth my time.
01:14And I was like, you kind of do forget that you employ like probably the best battle rapper of all time that did this for a living.
01:20And he's like, yeah, good point, but thought nothing of it.
01:22So I texted Roan.
01:23I was like, I know he's not going to do this unless he has something on paper that you can see this is like good.
01:29So I texted Roan.
01:30I was like, yeah, so how many days are you going to need?
01:31Like, what do you think?
01:32He's like, I'll have a deal with it tonight.
01:34Did you watch the diss track?
01:36That was good.
01:37So Jetski texted me.
01:38We were talking a little yesterday.
01:39He's like, wait until you see what's tomorrow.
01:40Wait until you see what's tomorrow.
01:42I didn't think it was going to be anything.
01:44You know what I mean?
01:44I didn't know what it was going to be.
01:46I watched it.
01:47It was actually good.
01:49Like that that should chart is what Jetski said.
01:52It was a fantastic song.
01:53But I had a banger.
01:54I was just part of the process.
01:55Helped big page views.
01:58Kind of worked through it in the booth.
01:59But he's got some serious chops on the microphone now, I think.
02:04Diss track dropped.
02:05Obviously the biggest news of November 5th.
02:08Already got taken down off certain platforms.
02:11I was asking everyone over there if they're blocked by Zach Bryan yet.
02:14I was also saying, the ending of that Nick Hamilton helped out with, it'd be kind of great if Pup Punk got into the fray a little bit.
02:21We got in a feud with Zach Bryan.
02:23I think that'd be great for our careers.
02:24But no, I thought it was amazing.
02:26Dave's delivery.
02:27It's the flow of the century.
02:29Timeless.
02:30He did it on Rise.
02:31Page views rise.
02:32He did it on this.
02:33The way he says, hair like Homer Simpson.
02:36Hair like Homer Simpson.
02:38That is iconic right there.
02:39I loved it.
02:40Amazing.
02:41Rome went into the lab, started cooking.
02:43Wrote it.
02:45Josh, at the same time, was like, yo, let me hit the lab.
02:48Let me hit the stew.
02:50We're like, okay, buddy, you do what you want.
02:51You have your fun.
02:53You go do your thing.
02:55You play along in the sandbox, and then the adults will do it, and then we'll put your name on the track.
03:00And he got in probably 10 p.m. their time and texted me at 4 a.m.
03:04Be like, I cooked.
03:05I did it.
03:06And I was like, yeah, there's no chance.
03:07Whatever.
03:08I didn't even ask to listen to it.
03:09I knew it was that bad.
03:10I was like, I'll just wait for Rome to do it.
03:12And then Rome was like, all right, maybe we'll incorporate some of his concepts, whatever.
03:16So I asked Josh for it.
03:17And he sent me the entire first part of the song.
03:20Everything that's there, completely untouched.
03:22He did a couple additions and changes, but him and his friends wrote the whole thing.
03:27Did the hook.
03:28Did everything.
03:28And Rome was like, Jesus Christ, this is actually pretty good.
03:32So the diss track, I thought it was amazing.
03:33I thought Josh Richards, his verse was great.
03:36I thought Dave coming in and actually being able to, like, hang with the Boogie Boys.
03:39You figure he's been there before.
03:40He's not a newbie to the diss track game.
03:43He was awesome.
03:43I submitted some lines.
03:45They didn't get picked up.
03:45I thought they were pretty good.
03:47I can't figure why they would go with Rome over me.
03:48But it's just the way the content game works.
03:51Last week or two weeks ago, Rome hit me up.
03:54He said, we've got to work on something.
03:56So we got in the little studio here.
03:58And he had some bars written down.
04:00So we recorded, like, a rough demo.
04:02Then we put it through a Dave AI generator, actually, that we created.
04:05Just so we could hear what it would sound like with him first.
04:08Sent it to Dave.
04:09He liked it.
04:10Then they were like, can you go down to Miami on Monday and record it with them?
04:14And I was like, sure.
04:15So early studio session I've ever had in my entire life, 6 AM in the studio.
04:19But we got Dave in there.
04:20And I was actually very surprised at how well he was able to get through it.
04:24But it definitely was not your normal rap session.
04:27It wasn't like he did his verse, and then we just put it in place.
04:31We had to go line by line.
04:32So I would be rapping it with him five or six times.
04:37And on the seventh time, we'd be like, itty bitty Zach, itty bitty Zach.
04:41And then I'd stop, and he'd just do it.
04:42And then we had the engineer stitch it together.
04:44I have so many talents and abilities, I can't even count them.
04:47Rapping is not one of them.
04:49So when I make these songs, I have Jet Ski literally in my ear.
04:54I start singing along with him, and then he just drops, and I keep going.
04:58So I'm not good at it.
04:59But once we started doing that a little bit,
05:01he started kind of getting the flow.
05:03And then I thought he sounded like a Detroit rapper,
05:05like Icewear Vezo or Babyface Ray or something like that.
05:08He kind of had the bars a little bit.
05:10And then we had the auto-tune on him.
05:11He almost sounds like a 48-year-old Jewish future.
05:15And I said that to him, and he's like, yeah, I get that a lot.
05:16So he crushed it.
05:18Did a great job.
05:18Roan obviously killed it with the bars.
05:20Josh was really, really good.
05:21Roan wrote the entire Dave part of everything.
05:25And I mean, the dude's vicious.
05:27He's a killer.
05:30So that came out great.
05:31And then it was just a matter of getting Dave into a studio.
05:34And I don't know if you guys have seen the making of Rise Patriots Rise,
05:39but it was very similar to that.
05:43I'm better at everything that I do.
05:46I'm better at everything that I do.
05:49I'm better at everything that I do.
05:52Did you see the Zach Bryan diss track?
05:54I did.
05:54I have some thoughts.
05:55Who wrote it?
05:56Zach.
05:57I don't know if I'm allowed to say.
05:58Yeah, I don't know.
05:59Did they write it?
06:00It was a collaborative effort, but I think Roan was involved in the writing.
06:04Roan was involved.
06:05Jeske was involved.
06:06Want to tell me a little bit about the process that went into that?
06:09Yeah, around midnight, I opened my social media, and I listened to it.
06:13And I listened to what Dave and Josh had written, and they did incredible.
06:17Those dudes are fucking beasts, bro.
06:19I really didn't know that Dave had it in him,
06:21but I should have looked back at the history and seen Rise Patriots Rise.
06:24And now I see what he's doing with this.
06:26And the man is a virtuoso.
06:28Tip of the cap to Dave, and tip of the cap to Josh.
06:32They crushed it.
06:33Is that something you could see yourself do or whatever, like those type of bars?
06:39I'm really more of a basketball podcast guy.
06:42They might call him arenas, but the man can fill up stadiums.
06:47Top shooter in DC, he had the trigger and will pull it.
06:51So much, they almost had to change the Wizards back to bullets.
06:56On the court, he was the meanest.
06:59Now his show is the cleanest.
07:01He has no chill for real.
07:02Welcome back, Gil Arenas.
07:04Welcome back to the show.
07:06I like what they're doing, but I mean, I
07:08don't know how those guys come up with that kind of stuff.
07:10And they said it's like all freestyle, too, or something like that.
07:13They're just coming up with it on the spot.
07:14That is impressive.
07:17Yeah, I could never do that.
07:19We probably did a couple thousand takes.
07:22Went half line by half line, four or five words at a time,
07:25and just pieced it together.
07:27And I mean, it's a banger.
07:30It's a certified banger.
07:31You can say whatever you want, like, oh, this is dumb.
07:33Like, adults are doing this.
07:34Boys are doing this, yada, yada.
07:36It's a banger.
07:36Like, say what you want.
07:37You're a hater.
07:38It's a banger.
07:38This had a chance, I think, to be the number one song in the country.
07:41It was going crazy.
07:42I thought it was great.
07:43I think Dave is obviously, you know, a musical voice of our generation,
07:47as is Josh.
07:4910 out of 10.
07:49Shout out, Jetski.
07:50Shout out, Dave.
07:51And now I hear that Zach is hiring, according to Austin,
07:54people to troll his comments.
07:56And he's blocked a bunch of people online, which I love.
07:58But no, it was fire.
08:01It was gas, you could say.
08:03And we're like, all right, let's do the video.
08:04Dave's like, oh, we can do it in Miami tomorrow.
08:06That's all I have.
08:07So we got on a call at, like, 4 PM.
08:11And we're like, all right, let's do this in Miami tomorrow.
08:14What do we want this video to be?
08:15So we talked about what we're going to do, shoot with the cops.
08:18We're like, all right, can we get sets?
08:19Can we get props, like cop car, all this sort of stuff.
08:22And we just went to work.
08:23Shout out, Rob, on our team here.
08:26He had a crew that he's worked with in Miami before.
08:29And they helped us find a cop car.
08:31They helped us find jail set, cop bullpen set, interrogation room,
08:35parking lot, black pickup truck.
08:39I'm running around to party cities, guitar centers,
08:41all this sort of stuff before they close on Sunday,
08:43trying to get costumes and props and set up a board and printouts.
08:48And we had call time beforehand the next day
08:50at the studio for like, I don't know, six hours.
08:54Got to the music video, and Dave tried to quit two minutes in
08:57because he said, there's no way I would have ever agreed to this
08:59if I knew this is what I was doing.
09:01I can't recite lyrics, but we kind of got him a teleprompter
09:03and worked his way through it, and probably a 10-hour shoot.
09:06And the video's a banger, too.
09:09Absolute banger of a song, first of all.
09:11Smallest man.
09:11Shout out, Dan.
09:12Shout out, Marone, Jeff, to everyone who worked on it.
09:15Unbelievable song.
09:16But there's a lot of drama.
09:17It keeps getting taken down by the music label, copyright, yada, yada.
09:21Josh has this signed deal from when he was 17 years old.
09:25But itty bitty Zach taking the video down, that's not good.
09:29We start getting takedown notices from Warner Music Group,
09:33who reps Zach Bryan, obviously probably like one of their crown jewels right now.
09:38He's so popular.
09:39He has that song, How Lucky Are We, and we kind of sang that.
09:44And we're like, oh, it must be that.
09:45Let's just cut that last lyric out, do it again.
09:48Nope, they take it down again.
09:50Right now, in scramble mode, they've taken everything down.
09:56Apparently, if you're just a big music label, you can just say,
09:59we own this, take it down, and people are just going to do it,
10:02despite the fact that Warner owns none of it.
10:05We wrote it, we produced it, we mixed it, we wrote the guitar outro.
10:10Like, none of it is his.
10:12But YouTube's like, sorry, it's theirs, take it down.
10:15Instagram, Spotify, Apple Music, apparently everyone's just a bunch of pussies
10:19that we asked them the reason why it got taken down.
10:24They're just like, sorry, it's Warner, deal with them instead.
10:27So I guess if you just have a big label, you can just do whatever you want.
10:30And Warner Music Group keeps saying, we own the whole song.
10:33It's like, what the hell does that mean, you own the whole song?
10:36Well, turns out Josh signed with them in 2020.
10:40Josh performing in basically any song seems like just a no-go.
10:44So they said on The Unnamed Show that they own him.
10:46When he did some viral diss track back in the day,
10:48they owned him for like four songs.
10:51I think it maybe said like four albums.
10:53Like, basically, they just signed you to like a predatory,
10:56like he was like probably 17 at the time,
10:58and his manager at the time just signed him to basically the rest of his life.
11:02So he can't put out, like they said, three shitty songs and be like,
11:05OK, you got yourself a deal.
11:06Well, this one's already out.
11:07So at this point, he would have to do another one after that.
11:10But we don't know what the specifics of it are.
11:12Will there be a Rone, Brianna, or Dave and Brianna written by Rone diss track
11:16coming, or we'll see?
11:17Everything's in play.
11:19I don't know if the Zach Bryan team or the Warner Music Group,
11:26this isn't a threat, is aware of the existence of Rone.
11:29Because Rone already has 10 more diss tracks, 100 times worse, ready to go.
11:35I would love to see Zach Bryan hear that song.
11:37All right, great news.
11:39The Pink Whitney party bucket is here.
11:41Look at this.
11:4220 of these guys in this party bucket.
11:46It's perfect for tailgating, perfect for a pregame.
11:50Whatever you want to do, this is revolutionizing the drinking
11:53game with Pink Whitney.
11:56And I've got some more great news for you, too.
11:59You can win a trip to Nashville with a few of your friends
12:03if you enter the contest at pinkwhitney.com slash Nashville.
12:08Nashville's probably my favorite city in the world, probably the greatest city
12:11that God has ever created.
12:13You're going to want to go to Nashville.
12:14You're going to want to bring this Pink Whitney bucket with you.
12:16Go there, pinkwhitney.com slash Nashville.
12:19You have a chance to win that trip.
12:21And also, if you fill out all the prompts,
12:24Pink Whitney will be selecting 11 winners
12:26to give Pink Whitney Western merch to.
12:29It's very sick, very cool.
12:30So you get some Pink Whitney, you get the party bucket.
12:33You can maybe get some merch.
12:34You can maybe win a trip to Nashville.
12:36What's better?
12:37Take your shot with Pink Whitney.
12:41So last week, we launched a new show called Beer Game Show.
12:45What is Beer Game Show?
12:48It's tough to describe.
12:49I would say it's like Nickelodeon's Double Dare aired on Adult Swim.
12:56And the contestants and the studio audience, before they went in,
13:01all smoked over-the-counter K2 gas station spice
13:05and had a couple beers with the boys.
13:07That is Beer Game Show.
13:19For example, on the show, we find out when Chris Clemmer lost his virginity.
13:38What year did Chris Clemmer lose his virginity?
13:42Write down a year.
13:43The person closest.
13:44Year?
13:45Will win, yes.
13:46What year?
13:47Born in the 40s.
13:49I feel like Clemmer has a fucking rope.
13:51He's got to have weight somewhere, you know?
13:53He's got a hammer.
13:55He lost his virginity when I was four.
13:571998 is Marty Musha's answer.
14:00Billy Football, it's your board.
14:022002.
14:03He lost his virginity when I was negative one.
14:051991.
14:06That would make him 11.
14:07That would make him 11.
14:11He's the man.
14:12He probably was a fucking teacher.
14:13Can't you see him fucking teach?
14:14No, no, I can't.
14:15He's the last guy.
14:17All right, the answers are locked in.
14:18Let's play the clip.
14:201997.
14:21It was right after graduation.
14:23Fuck.
14:24Before half of you were born.
14:25I had a boy.
14:27I thought you were born in 1975, which would have made you 16.
14:31I thought you were 48 or 49.
14:33Clem, I was not familiar.
14:34Dude.
14:35You think you look younger than 49?
14:38You look like a fucking mummy, dude.
14:39Clem, I was not familiar with your game.
14:41I thought you'd be more of like a college loser guy.
14:44There's not much choice in Rhode Island, you know, so they have to do something.
14:48At one point they're like, we got to do this guy at one point.
14:51Live free or die.
14:52I'm having fun.
14:53Yeah, I'm not.
14:54You just said Clem had sex at 11.
14:56Did I let you know what the questions are?
14:58But yeah, the show's got trivia, it's got physical challenges, and it's got whatever
15:02this is.
15:05First I want to preface that I got asked to do this show without having any idea what
15:11I was getting myself into.
15:13Foley and Vibs told me this whole thing about some game show that's a little, it's a little,
15:20they explained it, little wacky.
15:2216, 17, 18.
15:26Ow.
15:27What are you doing?
15:30That was you.
15:33Don't say he's fat and the chair broke.
15:36Do I win?
15:37Did I win?
15:38You got three more spins.
15:39Billy had no idea how to spin Dana on a chair.
15:44He fell and has a huge bruise on his ass.
15:46Now Billy spinning Dana, did he, did he probably go a little too far?
15:49Maybe.
15:50But also Dana's center of gravity, once you get something that big going, it's, it's got
15:55a mind of its own.
15:56You're going to make me do three more.
15:58I got a fucking ass, my ass cheek is fucked.
16:01Billy.
16:02Billy, you don't know how to spin somebody?
16:06Well, the way I was doing was sick.
16:08That should be a penalty.
16:09Billy is cheating.
16:10I'll take 10.
16:11I'll take 10.
16:13I'll take 10.
16:14I'll take 10.
16:15I'll take 10.
16:16Another.
16:17We'll do 10 more.
16:18First of all, I love how Meek was just like, yeah, I'm down for that when it's just a lose,
16:19lose situation for him.
16:20All right.
16:21Can you introduce yourself to the camera?
16:22Meek Phil.
16:23That's me.
16:24When we were working on the show, we really just wanted to pie someone in the face.
16:25And during the test phase of it, the line that you had to throw the pie from was pretty
16:26far back.
16:27It was maybe 10 feet.
16:28But when the line was 10 feet back, there was a good chance that the thrower would miss
16:29the person's face.
16:30In this case, Meek's face.
16:31So we moved the line forward.
16:33Did we move the line forward too close?
16:41Probably.
16:42Nine, 10.
16:43Grab the pie.
16:44Oh, no, he's got it.
16:50He's got it.
16:58Dana also let go at his face right here.
17:01Like, it wasn't a far throw like Steve Aoki throwing cake.
17:05It was literally just right there.
17:08My instant reaction, you can see my face in the background.
17:10I am very worried.
17:12Not so much about Meek's brain,
17:15but more just there's pie all over the office
17:17and someone's got to clean it up.
17:18We thought the pie was just going to not make a mess.
17:22It went everywhere.
17:24You all right?
17:29You got it.
17:33His hair went back.
17:35If you watch the clip, the entire,
17:38everyone burst into laughter, besides Meek Phil,
17:43because he just got smoked.
17:45I had to go up to him like, are you all right, Phil?
17:49I was asked to be in the beer game show by Vibs, I think.
17:53And they were like, oh, you need to get pied in the face.
17:55And I was like, well,
17:56I usually don't say no to much content,
17:58so I got pied in the face,
18:00Dana beers, spun around in a chair
18:02and just smacked me in the face with a pie.
18:04Still feeling the effects, may have some brain damage,
18:06but we move on.
18:08How does he explain that to his mother when he goes home?
