00:00Israel's occupation forces carried out three new massacres in the Gaza Strip during the
00:14last hours, leaving at least 50 Palestinians killed.
00:23Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Washington of getting involved in the Ukrainian
00:28conflict and warned that Moscow will not remain without response.
00:36And the Argentinean government removed around 43 rules related to price control and market
00:41regulation.
00:48Hello and welcome to From the South, I'm Alejandra Garcia from Telesur Studios in Caracas, Venezuela.
00:53We begin with the news, stay with us.
01:13Israeli occupation forces carried out three new massacres in the Gaza Strip during the
01:17last 24 hours, leaving at least 50 Palestinians killed.
01:22Medical sources reported that these actions also left more than 110 wounded.
01:28Authorities warned that both figures could be even higher, since many of the victims
01:32remain trapped under the rubble of the infrastructure affected by the bombings due to the Israeli
01:37impediments to entry of ambulances and civil defence teams.
01:51On the other hand, organisations defending the rights of Palestinian detainees and former
01:55detainees denounced that Israel's occupation forces executed a series of night raids in
02:01the occupied West Bank, during which they arrested at least 12 civilians, including
02:06former prisoners.
02:07This is part of the Israeli campaign of widespread arrest throughout the West Bank.
02:12More than 11,700 Palestinians have been detained since October 2023.
02:34In Russia, the Ukrainian armed forces carried out an attack using US-made long-range ballistic
02:39missiles against a facility in the province of Bryansk.
02:42According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, the attack used six US-made operational tactical
02:48missiles.
02:49The institution detailed that five of these projectiles were shot down with the use of
02:54the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft system, the Panzer anti-aircraft missile and artillery
03:01weapon system, while the sixth one was damaged.
03:04The fragments of the damaged missile fell on the technical territory of a military facility
03:09in the Bryansk Oblast, causing a fire that was quickly extinguished.
03:14This attack follows reports that US President Joe Biden authorised Ukraine to strike inside
03:19Russia with long-range missiles.
03:33In Brazil, on the sidelines of the G20 summit, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned
03:38that although the United States has not taken an official position on the use of its missiles,
03:43the attack against the province of Bryansk demonstrates its involvement in the Ukrainian
03:47conflict.
03:56As for the decision of the United States to authorise the Kiev regime to use weapons with
04:00a range of up to 300 kilometres, we have read what was published in the New York Times.
04:14There is no confirmation so far neither from the White House, nor from the Pentagon, however
04:19our position is based on what is happening on the ground.
04:32It is necessary to take into account today's attack on the Russian province of Bryansk,
04:37which is a border province.
04:46Because we are going to start from the understanding that this is already happening, because no
04:50modification of these missiles can be used without the assistance of the United States.
05:01The Russian top diplomat pointed out that the use of long-range missiles from Ukraine
05:06against Russian territory implies a new escalation on the part of the West and assured that Moscow's
05:11response will be proportional.
05:17The Russian president said it several times.
05:26If long-range missiles are used from Ukraine to the territory of Russia, it will mean that
05:35US military experts are involved in it, and we will see it as a new round of escalation
05:40of the West against Russia.
05:47And we will react in accordance with this fact.
05:53Georgian police detained at least 16 people in the city of Tbilisi on Tuesday during clashes
06:00with demonstrators opposing the results of the recent parliamentary elections of October
06:0426.
06:05According to the interior ministry, hundreds of protesters had illegally blocked traffic
06:10in the capital city for two nights, until they were dispersed by the police on Tuesday
06:15morning.
06:16However, Georgia's Interpress news agency said 16 people have been detained and three
06:21had already been released.
06:23The demonstrators were called by the leaders of three opposition parties to prevent the
06:27beginning of the new session of the elected parliament.
06:30The leaders claimed that the election in which the ruling Georgian Dream Party clinched a
06:35fourth term in power had been rigged.
06:46And now we have a short break coming up, but before we invite you to join us on TikTok
06:50at Telecid English, where you'll find news in different formats, news updates and more.
06:55We'll be right back, stay with us!
07:05Welcome back!
07:13The Honduran government is carrying out a programme to warranty food to families affected
07:18by Tropical Storm Sara.
07:19The programme is being implemented through the Secretariat of Social Development, which
07:23has organised teams to supply food and household goods to the thousands of victims in the devastated
07:29regions.
07:30Even though weather conditions show signs of improvement, authorities continue to be
07:35on alert.
07:36In this context, the director of the government body informed that the decrease of the water
07:40level in different areas has facilitated the delivery of humanitarian aid and assured all
07:46available resources are being used to reach still inaccessible regions.
07:56Among the food we are delivering there's a great quantity of grains, powdered milk, food
08:01of high nutritional value, non-perishable food, enough supplies to last them a month.
08:07We are making every effort to reach the families that are in places where access is still blocked
08:12and we are using all possible means.
08:18The Permanent Contingency Commission of Honduras, COPECO, explained how food was distributed
08:23to those affected by Tropical Storm Sara.
08:28This is the third phase in which we are delivering all the necessary supplies so that these people
08:33who are in shelters can go back to their homes and clean their homes and get everything they
08:37need for the next 25 days in terms of food, cleaning, everything they might need.
08:44Recovery efforts are progressing in El Salvador in localities affected by the passage of Tropical
08:49Storm Sara.
08:50The weather phenomenon has obstructed 21 roads, flooded 91 houses and triggered landslides
08:56throughout the country, prompting relief agencies to evacuate entire families amid
09:00ongoing floods and rains.
09:02In addition, residents have denounced difficulties to access water and food.
09:07Precisely, the agrarian sector warned that the rains caused damage not only to crops
09:11but also to their homes and have called on the government to address the situation.
09:17Also as a result of the heavy rain remnant from the storm, the Salvadoran Ministry of
09:21Education has suspended classes nationwide.
09:27Ecuadoran authorities report more than 10,000 hectares burned after forest fires in the
09:33southern provinces of Azuay and Loja.
09:36Precisely, the National Secretary of Risk Management of Ecuador reported that between
09:41the 1st of November to date, 8,800 hectares were burned in the city of Loja.
09:47While in Azuay, the fire has been 80% controlled, but more than 3,000 hectares have been consumed.
09:54Regarding the fires, authorities have indicated that they were man-made and there are two
09:59suspects in custody.
10:01In this regard, the official sources also informed they are looking for ways to legally
10:05prosecute the individuals from terrorism.
10:13The government of Japan announced on Tuesday that it will provide emergency supplies to
10:17Cuba in response to the serious damage caused by Hurricane Rafael.
10:20According to the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the aid consists of tents, blankets,
10:26mattresses and water purifiers, which will be channeled through the Japan International
10:32Cooperation Agency.
10:34These items will arrive in the country on November 25th to address the needs of the
10:38victims of the recent national disaster.
10:41The aid, worth about $160,000, was sent bearing in mind the long history of close relations,
10:49of friendship and solidarity between the two nations.
10:59Thousands of demonstrators marched in Wellington, New Zealand, against a conservative push in
11:04Parliament to redefine a founding Maori treaty bill.
11:08For the march that reportedly gathered about 42,000 people, demonstrators performed Maori
11:14haka chants.
11:15The rally represented the last stage of the nine-day protest in opposition to the Treaty
11:21Principles Bill introduced in Parliament for a preliminary vote on November 14th.
11:26The bill seeks to reinterpret the Treaty of Waitangi, an agreement signed in 1840 between
11:33more than 500 Maori chiefs and the British Crown, instrumental in upholding indigenous
11:38rights.
11:39The demonstrations have also called out several government policies that affected the Maori
11:43people and has become a movement celebrating its pride and culture.
12:13And because we have our culture and our grandparents and my nana Hana who came here and delivered
12:18the reo for the peti Hana, her grandkid was able to speak her reo fluently and come and
12:25suck it to them.

13:02Welcome back to From the South.
13:04In Argentina, the Secretariat of Commerce of the Economy Ministry removed around 43
13:09rules related to price control and market regulation.
13:12The Ministry alleged that the measure was taken because regulations related to trade
13:17allowed the state to fix prices, intervene in markets and request unnecessary information.
13:23Likewise, regulations establishing price controls on beef and dairy products were eliminated
13:29while the fair prices programme was terminated.
13:32The resolution also impacts areas such as tariff approval, agricultural programmes and
13:37information requirements to educational institutions and business chambers, which were deemed
13:42unnecessary by Malaysia's government.
13:49The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a communiqué on Tuesday categorically
13:53rejecting the approval by the United States House of Representatives of a bill that complements
13:58existing sanctions by prohibiting the US from contracting with any person that has business
14:04operations with the Venezuelan Bolivarian government.
14:07The official statement denounces that the bill, in a shameless manner, has been given
14:12the acronym of BOLIVAR in an offence against the greatest genius of American history who
14:17dedicated his life to defeat imperialism and colonialism and the values contained in this
14:23new criminal attack.
14:25The foreign ministry communiqué follows by stating,
14:27This instrument seeks to impede the relationship and economic cooperation between Venezuela
14:33and the United States in different fields of action, in clear violation of the United
14:37Nations Charter requested by the fascist right wing of the family surnames, adding to the
14:42more than 930 unilateral and extraterritorial coercive measures against the Venezuelan people
14:48and the US business system itself.
14:51The statement also stresses that this new onslaught will be assured of failure, like
14:57all the ridiculous adventures to which they have subjected the US government, including
15:02the outlandish support for Juan Guaido in 2019.
15:06To close, the Venezuelan authority urges the United Nations body in charge of human rights
15:12as well as the international community, especially the Latin American and Caribbean community,
15:17to condemn this illegal act and violation of national sovereignty, which will once again
15:22fail in its attempt to crush the Bolivarian people, who will continue defeating every
15:27aggression and giving lessons to the world of their gallantry to advance in the path
15:31of prosperity, built together with a revolutionary government.
15:42In the same context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Iván Gil, responded
15:46on his social media telegram to the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, about the July
15:5128th elections, where the people choose Nicolás Maduro as president of Venezuela and the government
15:57of the US doesn't want to recognize.
15:59He stated, the only place you don't come back from is ridiculous, goes the popular
16:05saying.
16:06However, Blinken, a confessed enemy of Venezuela, insists on doing it again, now with Juan Guaido
16:122.0, supported by fascists and terrorists subordinated to the battered US policy.
16:18He also expressed, in the last days of his government, he should dedicate himself to
16:23reflecting on his failures, getting rid of the imperial and colonial complexes and go
16:28write the memoirs of how the Bolivarian revolution made him bite the dust of defeat, just like
16:34his predecessors.
16:35Never fails the literary plan of yet another Secretary of State, who went down, along with
16:40his puppets, trying to reverse Venezuelan democracy.
16:50The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced that the terrorist attack on the
16:53main gas distribution complex of Venezuela, located in the east of the country, was planned
16:58from Colombia, by the ultra-right María Corina Machado, with the support of drug traffickers
17:03and paramilitaries.
17:04In the event, five people were injured, eleven were arrested and one foreigner fled.
17:10The report with Madeleine García.
17:16This is how the Muscar complex, located in the state of Monagas, east of Venezuela, was
17:21left after the explosion that took place a week ago.
17:25It is the heart of the system that distributes 80% of the gas to the whole country.
17:30The blast was an attack.
17:34For the first time, the images revealed by Vice-President Darcy Rodríguez denounce the
17:39three events.
17:40It took place in a chain over two days.
17:44The first case was a grenade that did not detonate on November 10 at 7.30 am, in the
17:49west of the country, that was intended to interrupt the production of gasoline.
17:54Seven hours later, a fire was set in a coca unit that produces diesel and left the eastern
18:00part of Venezuela, the other extreme of the nation, without fuel.
18:05And the following day, on November 11, this terrorist attack took place.
18:12Now they are attacking the vital raw material for thermoelectric plants, such as gas, to
18:17affect oil production, to affect petrochemical production, to affect the production of the
18:23basic companies and, of course, to affect the electricity service, mainly in the east
18:28of the country.
18:30The President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro confirmed who is behind the attacks and at
18:34the epicenter of the plotting.
18:39The attacks are planned from Colombia.
18:42Behind these attacks is the world of drug trafficking and paramilitary that today surrounds
18:46the mercenary queen, María Corina Machado.
18:49She is behind these plans.
18:50She left precisely to concentrate all her evil, all her desire for revenge, all her
18:55fascism and to harm Venezuela because her last name, her ambitions, her ego did not
19:00prevail in Venezuela.
19:03But I tell you that justice takes time but it comes.
19:06But none of this is scheduled.
19:09In the New York Times, on November 18, eight days after these actions, María Corina Machado
19:15confessed that she was willing to do whatever she had to do while asking for help from the
19:20recently elected US President Donald Trump to generate more pressure against President Maduro.
19:30Another fact is that not 24 hours have passed since the attack and, curiously, the US mercenary
19:36Eric Prince, who collected funds to assassinate the Venezuelan President and other high officials
19:42of the country, one day after the attack, wrote in his ex-account that for the United
19:48States and its allies, the first indication suggested that the explosion occurred due
19:54to an alleged deficient maintenance and obsolete equipment.
19:58But it turns out that an external company is linked to PDVSA.
20:03Eleven people have been arrested for internal complicity and a foreigner has fled.
20:11They do the damage and then start the manipulation to generate the deception.
20:16Of course, the electric service that depends on the gas coming from that plant was affected,
20:21it was calculated.
20:25The investigations point to a CIA operation that is at the forefront of the actions that
20:31have been registered in the last four months, where even more than 500 weapons of war that
20:38came smuggled from the United States were seized and at least 19 mercenaries, ex-rangers,
20:44arrested.
20:45None of this is new.
20:47Recently, eight former intelligence, agency and Trump administration officials confirmed
20:52that the tycoon in 2019 ordered a covert CIA-led initiative to help overthrow Venezuelan strongman
20:58the oil interest.
21:02The former officials said that the campaign led to a disruptive digital sabotage operation
21:07against the Maduro administration, says the U.S. media investigation, which also reported
21:15that at least once Colombia got into the action.
21:18The Colombians have a long history of collaboration with the CIA and Pentagon paramilitaries,
21:25the ex-official confessed.
21:28Close to $247 million lost in this explosion.
21:33The oil workers, firemen and civil protection managed to control the situation, and the
21:38investigations continue.
