02:17the Justice Department after his fortuitous metakits withdrew his name over the six trafficking
02:23allegations.
02:25Bandi has been an outspoken offender of Trump.
02:29She was one of his lawyers during his first impeachment trial, and she was among a group
02:34of Republicans who showed up to support Trump at his New Year's Hush Money criminal trial
02:40that ended immediately with a conviction of three for the felony count.

03:05The United Nations underscored that girls and women worldwide are prone to suffer from
03:10food insecurity as a result of the climate crisis.
03:13The UN advanced that in the worst-case scenario, over 236 million girls and women will face
03:20food insecurity, and 158 million others could fall into poverty due to the climate crisis' impact.
03:27Meanwhile, other figures estimate that girls and women in sub-Saharan Africa spend 200
03:32million hours and ages fetching water, equivalent to the daily working hours of the entire workforce
03:38of countries such as the United Kingdom.
03:41But every UN woman highlighted that nations must consider climate financing and make a
03:46plan of actions aligned with climate equality to find out needed solutions for these global resources.
03:58Russian President Vladimir Putin praised on Friday the test carried out with the hydrostatic
04:03Horoshnik ballistic missiles and ordered the missiles to be put into mass production.
04:08The statement was made one day after the head of state addressed the nation in relation
04:13to the Ukrainian attack with the US-made missiles.
04:15When he addressed Moscow's rise to fire the missiles at military facilities in countries
04:19whose weapons are being used by Ukraine.
04:23The test was a success, I congratulate you on that.
04:26And as has already been said, we will continue these tests, including in combat conditions.
04:39Depending on the situation and the nature of the security threats posed to Russia, it
04:46is necessary to establish mass production.
04:48Let's assume that the decision to mass-produce this system has been made.

06:01The UN entity warned that increasing use of lethal weapons in civilian areas, such as

07:16Welcome back from the south.
07:34Brazil's federal police filed formal charges against former President Jair Bolsonaro and
07:3936 other collaborators from a coup attempt following his electoral defeat in 2022.
07:45Among the accused are prominent figures in Bolsonaro's government, including former Minister
07:49Braga Neto, former Minister of the International Security Cabinet General Augusto Henao, former
07:55Director of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency Alexander Ramagen, and President of the Liberal
08:02Party Balemar Costa Neto.
08:04The investigation reveals a coordinated plot to subvert the democratic order and prevent
08:11the inauguration of President-elect Luis Ignacio Lula da Silva.
08:20The President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, led this ceremony to commemorate the eighth
08:24anniversary of the spending of the peace agreement.
08:27During the commemoration in the Bolívar Square, the Colombian President stressed that in these
08:32eight years, the agrarian reform has not been achieved, assuring that this is due to the
08:38lack of Lula on the sides involved.
08:41In this sense, President Petro detailed that 300,000 hectares have been allocated to the
08:46persons out of the 3 million that were agreed upon.
08:49In addition, the Colombian head of state emphasized that it is necessary to change the norms so
08:55that an agreement can be fulfilled in order to achieve total peace in the country.
09:01The political process did not allow with sufficient forcefulness the application, the implementation
09:13of the peace process in reality, and that is why today there are issues that are far
09:20from being fulfilled.
09:22Despite the efforts of this government, agrarian reform is still far from being achieved.
09:29The overall data, using various regulatory mechanisms that have been in force for decades,
09:36they were made in order not to carry out an agrarian reform, but we use them to carry
09:43out an agrarian reform.
09:45We have a global figure of 300,000 hectares delivered to persons out of the 3 million
09:55that were agreed upon.
09:57That is to say, with this government it reached 10% compared to the previous government.
10:05The difference is from 300,000 to 4 or 5 thousand.
10:13The Colombian president also assured that it is necessary to change the norm so that
10:18peace agreements can be fulfilled in the country.
10:21The FARC, in spite of all the criticism of the Colombian society, I have some, it is
10:30not the case, someday we will write books if they let us, but the FARC in 2016 told
10:37the Colombians that it was time to stop the killing, that it was time to help each other.
10:44And there are some answers there in the Congress, not from the majority, and in the streets
10:51as well, that what they invite is to kill us again.
10:56I think that this government should deepen the thesis of the policy of love, which is
11:03for everyone, and to say frankly that here the only policy that allows us to survive
11:11as a nation and as humanity is to help each other.
11:17And in this case, to help each other is to change the rules so that the peace agreement
11:24can be quickly fulfilled.
11:27And by keeping our word, we can achieve total peace in Colombia.
11:33Mexico's gross domestic product increased 1.1% in the third quarter of the current year, 2024.
11:40The National Institute for Statistics and Geography detailed that the gross domestic
11:45product of primary activities grew by 3.7%, tertiary activities by 2.1%, and secondary
11:52activities by 0.4%.
11:54In this sense, at an annual rate and with a sanctionally adjudged serious economic advantages,
12:011.6% in real terms.
12:05Likewise, during the first nine months of the year 2024, the gross domestic product
12:10grew 1.5% compared to the same period in previous year, 2023.
12:21Power outages continue in Ecuador, causing a drop in domestic sales and industrial productions,
12:27in addition to affecting the daily life in the inhabitants of the country.
12:31The Ministry of Energy and Mines announced a national blackout scheduled for Friday to
12:36Sunday, and according to the report, blackouts will continue for eight interrupted hours
12:40daily.
12:41The Internal Revenue Service reports also on commercial activities decreased by 0.7%
12:47in September 2024 alone.
12:49Meanwhile, experts point out that it is possible that this trend in the economy will decrease
12:57even more in the last month of the year.
13:02Venezuela commemorates the fourth year of the approval of the Aniblo Collab with a meeting
13:11of social leaders at the Teresa Carreño Theater.
13:14The event began at 9 a.m. local time and will attend by political analysis and members of
13:21the Executive Cabinet, who intended to evaluate the progress achieved nationwide despite unilateral
13:27measures imposed by the U.S. against the country.
13:29This will also discuss how the imperialist countries have tried to sabotage Venezuela's
13:34economic, social and political stability in the last few years.
13:38The Aniblo Collab was approved in 2024 by the Constituent National Assembly to establish
13:45the legal tools to mitigate and reduce the effects of U.S. sanctions against the Venezuelan
13:50people.

14:22Welcome back.
14:31And now we regain the topic.
14:33At the first date of the International World Anifa System Youth Congress is underway in
14:37Caracas.
14:38We go live for updates with our correspondent Belen De Los Santos.
14:41Hi, Belen.
14:42Hello.
14:43And give us your remarks.
14:49Hello, studios.
14:50We continue here in Caracas as the Youth Congress, the anti-fascist Congress that is gathering
14:56here in the Venezuelan capital is underway.
14:59We've been reporting with the testimonies, we've been hearing from different people from
15:04around the world.
15:05As we have been saying, over 1,000 delegates have gathered in Caracas and will continue
15:11to gather tomorrow as well to discuss the most relevant topics regarding the social
15:17context that we are living in right now worldwide and in the struggle against fascism and also
15:23exchanging experiences and bringing their visions from different corners of the world.
15:28And in this case, we are joined by Shane Savory, a student from St. Lucia.
15:33Welcome, Shane.
15:34Thank you for being here with us in Tell Us Your English.
15:38Please tell us your experience at this Congress.
15:42How has the day been like meeting delegates from all over the world?
15:47What's your experience so far?
15:49Thank you so much for having me.
15:51So, I arrived in Venezuela on Wednesday.
15:54And honestly, coming into it, I didn't have a ton of expectations.
15:59I said, you know what, I'm just going to go into it and experience it for myself.
16:04The first thing that I've realized is just how massive this is.
16:09I mean, I come from a very tiny island in the Caribbean.
16:12I mean, Caracas is bigger than my entire country.
16:15So, just taking all of that in has been so interesting.
16:19But it's also been really interesting being somebody who is from the Caribbean community.
16:24We have these very close ties with Venezuela.
16:27And a lot of what you study at school and what you see in the news can be one way.
16:32But then coming here and actually seeing the place for yourself and actually meeting people
16:36and talking to people, it's an entirely different perspective.
16:39So, being here and being able to talk not just with Venezuelans but from people from all around the world
16:45and being able to hear so many languages in one place, it's been an extremely enlightening experience.
16:50And I'm so glad that I came.
16:52Exactly. So, we've been hearing from delegates from all over the world
16:56with their own particular experiences of what the anti-imperialist struggle,
17:01the anti-fascist struggle means for them.
17:04So, you come from St. Lucia.
17:06I would like to ask you, for this Caribbean country, in your experience,
17:10what does the anti-fascist movement mean in your case?
17:15I think that as a very small developing country, we're still in the process of finding our place in the world,
17:21especially among us who are young people.
17:24I'll be voting in my first election in the next couple of years.
17:28So, among my peers, I think it's really important that we start to find that footing
17:33to understand what is going on in different places around the world,
17:37despite what certain media may be or what our parents might believe and things like that.
17:42So, I'm really just learning about the experiences of so many people around the world
17:47whose lives have been shaped by so many political movements
17:50and so many things that have been happening worldwide and learning how all of that is connected.
17:54So, it's not only just an experience to learn about how others are living
17:58and how we can understand and help them in what we have in common,
18:01but I also think that it's important for my country, which is less than 50 years old,
18:05that we can understand how we can stay on the right path of government
18:08and how the youth can lead the country moving forward.
18:12And do you see hopeful youth in that sense?
18:16We're living in a very particular world context and a lot of the media coverage
18:21and really a lot of the things that are happening around the world are so, so difficult
18:25that some may think that we are in a sort of apocalyptic era.
18:29However, we have the youth coming together and, of course,
18:33we are seeing different alternatives and perspectives of the future.
18:36How do you see that future as part of the young generation?
18:40I think that this generation is very interconnected,
18:44especially with being able to communicate with people from all around the world
18:48through social media and being able to educate ourselves in that way.
18:51So, I find that a lot of young people that you meet now worldwide are more politically active than ever.
18:57And if we have a question, if there's something that we want to know,
19:00that it's easier than ever for us to just find that out.
19:03So, I think that it really is just a matter of young people being more curious about it
19:08and having that kind of intellectual vitality of wanting to understand more,
19:13of being able to compare and think for themselves.
19:15So, all of the information and all of the resources that we need to become more politically active are there.
19:21It's really just a matter of young people having that strength within them
19:25to go out there and figure out what it is and then take action.
19:28Thank you, Shani, for joining us here. That was our comrade from St. Lucia.
19:33Just one more perspective of the ones that we have been hearing at this youth congress,
19:39the anti-fascist congress that Caracas is holding.
19:42And how young people continue to gather around this perspective from different corners of the world
19:47and how to think and continue building in the struggle against fascism.
19:51Now we go back to you.
19:53Thank you, Belen, for all your information you gave us.
19:55And now we continue with our news.
19:58In Lebanon, at least 15...
20:01The World Health Organization, my partner, briefed that Israeli occupying forces
20:05have made at least 15 hospitals of... I don't know what's happening.
20:09Made 15 hospitals run out of service following the attack in Lebanon.
20:14The World Health Organization's photo recall haven't been detailed since 2017
20:19as surveillance systems for attacks on world health...
20:22on health care that is aided to monitor a hospital.
20:27As a result, the organization described as critical the health crisis
20:31grounding in 37% of the Israeli strikes to lead to rise in the death toll of health care stops
20:40and to the manufacturing of 15 hospitals out of the 153 ones.
20:51We have come to the end of this news brief, but you can find this and many other stories
20:55on our website at elesuleenglish.net.
20:57You can also join us on our socials from Facebook and Instagram as well.
