00:00Okay apologies for the delayed
00:16releases we get is Friday
00:17afternoon. But as they say we
00:19save the best for last
00:20especially here in the past
00:21interference podcast. We're not
00:22talking about the best football
00:24this season we're talking about
00:25the best guess we've had a
00:26while. I have to say. As it is
00:29a time for giving thanks I am
00:30thankful for a few people in my
00:32life let alone sports media
00:33that our current guest
00:34Carrie Gregion. Of mass live
00:36which Karen you left me
00:37abandoned me at the Herald-
00:39eighteen months ago. Is it
00:41still weird hearing Carrie
00:42Gregion from mass live and not
00:44the Boston Herald. It is and
00:47you can don't make me cry come
00:49on now. I miss you too. But I
00:56don't know if I said that. Come
00:58on. My former partner in crime
01:02I see I think my departure has
01:05led you to bigger and better
01:06things. How's that well thank
01:09you it's a wonderful not answer
01:10by you not anything to do with
01:11the question I asked but I
01:13appreciate you. Deeply what you
01:15know so we won't spend too much
01:16more time on that but we are
01:17gonna spend time on today
01:19Patriots have a game Sunday
01:20playing the Colts. Before that
01:22we're gonna talk a little
01:23bit more about that. We're gonna
01:24talk a little bit more about
01:25George bro peppers because- he
01:27returns facility on Tuesday you
01:29have some reporting that I
01:30missed as I was. You know very.
01:32I was a cautiously right around
01:34domestic violence around legal
01:35situations trying to pen a
01:36column and lo and behold you
01:37had the answer all along.
01:38Before we get to that. I want
01:40to talk about what we learned
01:41today at Gillette stadium good
01:43drive mail press conference a
01:44small nuggets. And before we
01:46get to that. Can't tell you
01:48jampacked episode today. Two
01:49reasons to be thankful I took
01:51the time to ask you. To give
01:52me this amount of reasons for
01:53the Patriots fans to be
01:54thankful this season which has
01:55been harder. It's been harder
01:56since you left. But I gave nine
01:59and I ask you for two. Neither
02:01could be Drake may. So what do
02:03you got. First of all if you
02:06came up with nine that's award
02:08winning. Thank you thank. Okay
02:12reasons to be grateful- they
02:15might not think the case but
02:18they might. Well the fact that
02:20they're in line for a top five
02:22or top ten pick. I would put
02:25pretty high on the list. I
02:29think you know depending on how
02:32high they go they could
02:33actually move down in game more
02:35assets. Because they have so
02:37many holes to fill kind of like
02:40last year except they do have
02:41the quarterback. But now one
02:45might hope that they would
02:46actually find. A left tackle
02:49who's played left tackle before.
02:52As opposed to signing free agent
02:55right tackles and drafting right
02:58tackles. And then expecting them
03:00to play left tackle which has
03:02not worked out. Okay but saying
03:03positive for great we're
03:04grateful today we're thankful
03:05today. Well I'm well I'm
03:07grateful they have another
03:08chance at it house. Good. And
03:14this one this one is kind of a
03:16personal one but- I'm really
03:20glad they beat Aaron Rodgers in
03:21the Jets the second time. Well
03:26and it was it was good that
03:28they could beat someone who's
03:30as messed up as they are. I
03:33mean the Jets have a- far more
03:35talented team. But I don't know
03:40I kind of I kind of like that
03:41when. Personally how's that no
03:45that was the last reason I had
03:48on the nine it's the Jets
03:49because here's the deal when
03:50you're the Patriots and this is
03:51true. In the cam Newton year it
03:53was true when they went eight
03:54nine map attrition Joe judge
03:55Walker on the sidelines. I like
03:57a couple of turkeys. And it was
03:59true last year and it's true
04:00again this year. Even in the
04:01darkest days of this franchise.
04:03You still have the Jets you
04:05don't have a head coach. Don't
04:06have a general manager who have
04:08a quarterback who's on the way
04:09out the door a lot of the Joker
04:11walking out as a hospital blows
04:12up behind him in the dark night.
04:14And he might not be smiling
04:15though he is when he's talking
04:16about if he but the point is.
04:18It's still worse right down. I
04:20ninety five out there in East
04:22Rutherford in Florida park where
04:23they have their headquarters so
04:24I'm gonna give you one more
04:25because I'm gonna have to really
04:26quickly the return of the silver
04:28pants. Here I think the
04:30blandest most boring home
04:32uniforms in the NFL NFL do
04:34belong to the Patriots. It's the
04:36Navy on Navy. It was fine as I
04:38go okay the changing up
04:39Thursday night alternate no more
04:41I want them abolished I want the
04:43silver pants back it's a simple
04:44compliment to the silver helmet
04:46it's a classic look. They've
04:48been slowly incorporated more
04:49and more I I felt thankful that
04:51was reason number eight. I find
04:53it interesting that. A lot of
04:55you guys not just you are so
04:57interested in wardrobe. I mean
05:00usually that me I'm in a high
05:02school sweatshirt of a very
05:03fashionable guy Karen that would
05:05be like a female thing like.
05:07The uniforms. Stereotype now I'm
05:09not we're not wrong though right
05:11silver pants upgrade. Yeah I
05:13think the seal silver pants are
05:15you never I wasn't a big fan of
05:17the color rush for anybody really
05:19so. Very little on blue you know
05:22contrast. Little spice it up-
05:25speaking of spice it up here
05:26three nuggets in a minute not
05:27yet you're gonna pick one this
05:29is from drive me out today
05:30number one Cole strange. Gonna
05:32wait another week he is still
05:33the P. P. list they have until
05:35December tenth to activate him
05:37it seems likely because you're
05:38out now said yeah the plan is
05:39for him. I'm gonna wait another
05:40week he is still the P. P. list
05:41said yeah the plan is for him to
05:42play. It'll do that not this
05:44week. Not next week when they're
05:45on by. But the week after before
05:47the players on that's not good
05:48number one. Number two. Is you
05:51and I were just talking about
05:52that off air Matty Bruce. Canned
05:54by the bears. For the worst end
05:56of game clock management I have
05:58ever seen. Heard of. Anything
06:01related to that. And soon after
06:03watching the bears game in his
06:04house drive mail calls Evan
06:05Rothstein on Thanksgiving is
06:07assistant quarterbacks coach.
06:08Director of game management
06:10and he's so strong for director
06:11title to me. Alas he calls and
06:14Rothstein says Hey let's talk
06:15to this number three. Drive mail
06:17says specifically. Over the last
06:19five games they need to learn
06:20about the guys I said okay which
06:21guys. When Robinson. Cole
06:24strange. Kate Wallace and then
06:26quote the receiver so those are
06:28three nuggets you're gonna pick
06:29one but in a second in the
06:30meantime I want to remind
06:31everybody. Patriots only three
06:33games at home. Let the season
06:35and if you're gonna go. And you
06:36want to get a ticket. You want
06:37to spend any more money than you
06:38can. You can go to game time. I
06:40did this last week. Take my
06:41cousin to university Miami game.
06:43I'm gonna do this when I go to
06:44a Celtics game. That I'm not
06:45covering. I just want to have a
06:47beer. As opposed to a post game
06:48story. And homework to do when I
06:50go to the garden. And you can do
06:51that at game time with the
06:52lowest price guarantee and if
06:53you find a lower price elsewhere.
06:55It's a hundred and ten percent
06:56of the difference back to you.
06:58Anywhere you're gonna find a
06:59lower ticket. Well alert. You're
07:00not so go to game time right now.
07:02Where you can find your seat
07:03view this is my favorite feature.
07:05At Gillette. The garden you can
07:06use for concert show whatever it
07:08is. And again the Patriots are
07:09playing. You got the Celtics.
07:10The Bruins are still rolling.
07:11Well rolling maybe stumbling. So
07:12just download the game time app
07:14today. Because we are giving you
07:15twenty dollars. When you create
07:16an account. Use CLNS for that
07:18promo code. Again promo code
07:19CLNS. And get twenty dollars off
07:21your first purchase. To apply.
07:22Again create an account redeem
07:23code CLNS. For your first
07:25purchase at game time. Download
07:27game time today. What time is it?
07:29Game time. All right. The people
07:31have been waiting. Well. Well of
07:35those three. I sort of. I'm
07:37going to touch on one real
07:38quick. I'm going to move number
07:40two. Down to later in the show.
07:43Oh okay. And okay. And I want to
07:47talk about number three. But
07:48number one Cole Strange being
07:50moved back. Not a surprise. If
07:52you've watched him. His first
07:55practice back. He looked like a
07:57kid who was just learning how to
07:59play. Again. And he said he had
08:03to learn how to walk again. So
08:06it shouldn't come as a surprise
08:08that you know he's not quite
08:10ready just yet. And I would say
08:13it's good to wait for him. Last
08:16question. Gerard wanting to get
08:18a look at mostly his draft picks.
08:23And it's been a tough. It's been
08:27a tough to kind of navigate
08:30between winning games. And
08:33trying to find out what you
08:35have. On your roster. You know
08:39particularly the younger guys.
08:41But I think we've hit the point
08:43with five games to play that.
08:46You need to know. Can the two
08:50rookie receivers. You know. Do
08:53they really look like bus or is
08:55there hope for them. You know.
08:58Baker hasn't been able to get on
09:00the field. He's had some
09:01problems. You know making
09:04mistakes. Running wrong routes.
09:06Yada yada yada. Polk came up
09:11with a dropsy problem. That was
09:14new to him. And making mistakes.
09:19So you have to see. I mean Polk
09:23especially a second round pick.
09:26You know they just shoved
09:27Tycorne Thornton out the door.
09:30You know he was a bust.
09:32Obviously. They need to see.
09:35Elliott Wolfe needs to see.
09:38About their evaluation of wide
09:41receivers. And you know. Is
09:44this a continuation. What was
09:46happening under Bill Belichick.
09:50Or you know. Did they just miss
09:52it on these guys. They have to
09:54know. Because that's going to
09:56help them. You know. On their
09:58priority list next year. You
10:01know. What they have to do.
10:03Offensive linemen as well. Are
10:06they serviceable. Can they
10:07start. When I saw Leighton
10:11Robinson early on. I thought he
10:13was going to be something.
10:14Because he was a bit of a
10:15mauler. He's kind of a one
10:20trick pony. He's good in run
10:22blocking. Because he is a
10:23mauler. But he's not good in
10:25pass protection. Is that a
10:27matter of technique. You know.
10:29Can they help him with
10:30technique. So they have to. You
10:35know. Get an idea about these
10:37players. Before they really can
10:39put an imprint. Or a battle
10:41plan ahead. As to how to attack
10:44the off season. And what they
10:46need. Yeah. It's interesting
10:48too. Because. You know. Each
10:50player obviously. Is it's own
10:52individual case by case basis.
10:54Cole Strange is the only year
10:55three player that he mentioned.
10:58You know. Unless. I mean.
10:58Taekwon Thornton would have been
10:59the only third year receiver in
11:01that group. But as you mentioned
11:02he's gone. So. You have a bigger
11:03sample with Cole Strange. 17
11:06careers. Excuse me. 27 career
11:07starts. You know. Even if he's
11:09going to get a little bit
11:10better. It's probably not leaps
11:11and bounds at this point. You
11:13look at a guy like Kayshun
11:14Booty. Also had a year two leap.
11:15It's been small. But probably
11:16tracking for a career as a
11:17receiver four. Number receiver
11:19five. Then you go to the
11:20rookies. Those are the only
11:21players that I hear Gerard say
11:23this and go. Specifically in
11:24guys like Caden Wallace's case.
11:26I really don't know much yet.
11:28Right. Like. I feel pretty
11:29confident. What it looks like.
11:31So far for Jalen Polk. It's not
11:32that he can't get better. I
11:33mean. There's only one direction
11:35for him to go. Based on his
11:36game day. But there's a larger
11:37sample there that tells me. And
11:39with Jayvon Baker. That sample
11:40is not on the field. But it's
11:41certainly in practice. It's
11:43certainly off the field. And in
11:44concert with everything we knew
11:46about him before the draft. And
11:47why some teams just. Took him
11:48completely off their draft
11:49boards. I kind of know who that
11:51guy is. But players who haven't
11:53played a whole lot. Or in
11:54positions like offensive tackle
11:56where. That year two leap is
11:57significant. Because really
11:58rookie offensive linemen. Even
11:59top five. Top ten picks aren't
12:00very good. That's what's
12:02intriguing to me. I think
12:03you're going to learn more about
12:04them. Over these last five
12:05games. Then you will. Guys like
12:08Cole Strange. Or maybe even
12:09Leighton Robinson. Who to your
12:10point. He's going to play left
12:11guard. It looks like. On Sunday.
12:13Even if he fails. I don't think
12:14that tells me anything. Or if
12:16he succeeds. Because it's just
12:17a one game sample. For a guy
12:18that's really kind of ridden a
12:19roller coaster this year. Yeah.
12:21Yeah. I agree with all that.
12:23But getting back to Cole
12:24Strange for second. A lot of
12:27his work. While he was rehabbing
12:30was done. Playing center. And
12:34with David Andrews. Not a
12:36guarantee for next year. You
12:40know. If Cole Strange can be
12:43either a good backup. Or
12:44someone who could potentially
12:46take over. For you know. They
12:48need David Andrews replacement.
12:51And. You have to see. Can Cole
12:57Strange handle that. You know.
12:59Before you go hog wild. Bringing
13:02in centers. I think. It's a good
13:04point. Ben Brown is fine. But I
13:08don't. I don't foresee him being
13:12the. Either the future. Center
13:15of their future. After. After
13:19David. Or the future backup.
13:22Yeah. Real quick aside. And
13:24then we're going to get to
13:25Brobuck Peppers. Because you
13:27had the best reporting about
13:28Jabril's situation. As it
13:30happened today. And this is a
13:30big storyline this week in
13:31Foxborough. Ben Brown was
13:33holding court in the locker
13:34room. And I don't know if these
13:35two things are connected. But
13:36there was a prank. Some of the
13:38rookie offensive linemen played
13:39on Jotham Russell. Who's
13:41practice squad pass rusher.
13:42He's from Australia. And there
13:44was something involved with.
13:45Whether Ben Brown was involved
13:47or not. But I learned this soon
13:48after seeing him hold court in
13:49the locker room today. Jotham
13:51Russell was instructed and did
13:54say the pledge of allegiance at
13:55Thanksgiving. Believing that
13:56was part of the Thanksgiving
13:57American holiday. So he stood
13:59up and started saying it. On
14:00his lonesome. This poor
14:02Australian. Hanging out with
14:03some teammates. Who had some
14:04good fun at his expense. Anyway
14:06Jabril Peppers. He was removed
14:08from the commissioner's exam
14:09list on Monday. On Tuesday. The
14:12Patriots welcome him back into
14:14the building. And Gerard. You
14:15know. Answers. I think it was
14:17close to ten questions. From us
14:19on Tuesday morning. Because they
14:20moved everything up. Due to the
14:21holiday. And in that press
14:22conference. Said he's going to
14:24practice. I don't know if he'll
14:25play yet. We don't still know
14:27here on Friday. If Jabril's
14:28going to play. But if I had to
14:29bet. I would say he would. And
14:30beyond that. Didn't really take
14:32ownership of a decision. That
14:34was clear. Right? Either the
14:35Patriots had enough information.
14:37From the seven weeks. That has
14:38been he's away. For facing
14:40charges of assault. Assault
14:42battery with a dangerous weapon.
14:43Strangulation. And a minor. You
14:45know. Possession charge. For
14:47cocaine. His quote was. It is
14:48cocaine. When it was discovered
14:49on his person. Or. They're
14:52going to operate. By the fact
14:54that. In this country. And I
14:57think this is the right
14:57approach. Frankly. Broad.
14:59Philosophy. Philosophically.
15:01Innocent until proven guilty.
15:03And so. My question. You know.
15:05Was okay. Why didn't they just
15:07take ownership of this? And I
15:08wrote. It seems they're
15:09confident. Because once he
15:11comes off the commissioner's
15:12exempt list. The Patriots can
15:13do what they want. Like he's
15:14available to be on their active
15:15roster. They can say. You can
15:16go home. Continue what is
15:18essentially paid leave. Or you
15:19can come back. You can practice
15:21and play. But right now. The
15:21ball is in their court. And
15:22what they chose to do. Was not
15:24run a play that the NFL. Gave
15:26them. Which is kind of how
15:27Gerard described it. It was. To
15:29put. Jabril. In a set. For now
15:32it's practice. It could be a
15:33game on Sunday. And they're
15:34good with that. Which to me
15:35said. Given the crass history
15:36and the hard line they've taken
15:37against domestic violence.
15:39Given what they said at the
15:40beginning. We're going to
15:41investigate here. And what
15:42Jabril told us. Tuesday
15:43afternoon. Which is that his
15:45legal team has cooperated with
15:46the NFL. And he himself has
15:48spoken with ownership. Whatever
15:49those conversations were. The
15:51Patriots are confident enough.
15:52That he could be. Exonerated.
15:54Now. Whether that confidence is
15:56warranted or not. Remains to be
15:58seen. But for now. That was my
16:01read on the situation. And lo
16:02and behold. I should have just
16:03read your reporting. Which said.
16:06Yes sir that's a fact. And I
16:07can tell you. Per sources. So.
16:10Fill in the blanks. What do we
16:12know. What can you do to
16:12advance. What I just said. And
16:14what most people know about
16:15this story and situation. Well
16:16first of all. I came away from.
16:19Gerard Mayo's. Press conference.
16:22Answering or not answering. Ten
16:24questions or whatever it was.
16:27With more questions. Yes. He
16:32basically laid it at the lap
16:34well he's off the exempt list so
16:35he's playing. And replaying in
16:38my mind. As he's saying this
16:41over and over and over again.
16:43Was the press conference they
16:45had. When. Jabril was put on.
16:49The exempt list. Gerard talking
16:52about how serious the charges
16:54were him having two daughters.
16:57You know. They're gonna you
17:00know they're gonna conduct
17:01their own investigation I was
17:03thinking back to Robert Kraft
17:05being on the breakfast club
17:07show whatever that was. And
17:09looking at the police report
17:11and the charges and saying he
17:13wanted to puke. After you know
17:16after seeing those charges. And
17:19from that picture in my mind.
17:22To Gerard just saying well he's
17:23off the exempt list now so.
17:27Welcome back. So again. I like
17:30you. Are in the innocent until
17:33proven guilty. Category but I
17:38sort of needed to fill in some
17:39blanks. So after that after
17:42hearing peppers. I did a little
17:45investigating with some people
17:47in the organization. Let's say.
17:50And several of them told me.
17:53That. They they had done their
17:57own investigation. And they
18:00were they were satisfied with.
18:03How that turned out to the
18:05point that they would allow him
18:07back. They were also. Going off
18:11of the league's investigation.
18:14And what their finding was. So
18:19I think that gave them
18:20confidence. To to say. Come on
18:25back you know. As to why they
18:27couldn't say it. I think it
18:29did couldn't just say well
18:31we're we're happy with our
18:32investigation. I'm told that
18:35that they could not. Because of
18:38of the pending case. So right
18:43and there's there's a couple
18:44things here one I want to back
18:45up and say that in. A great
18:47majority of these cases like
18:49statistically across the
18:50country. Across recent history.
18:53Cases like this come up. The
18:56accusations are verified that
18:58very very few instances. Are
19:01women. Filing these charges
19:03making these accusations and
19:05having it be a complete lie or
19:07fabricated. Okay so when
19:09peppers is accused of these
19:10things only be serious. But in
19:12all likelihood. He is guilty in
19:14some form or fashion okay.
19:16That's number one and so that's
19:17obviously. You're taking it
19:19serious based on the charges
19:20are but also the history of how
19:21these things typically go even
19:22though. When you look in places
19:24like the internet. And
19:25specifically people with the
19:26Patriots logo. In their avatar.
19:28Oh it's fake. Because I want my
19:30football player back. This is
19:31BS just looking for money and
19:33his career whatever which is
19:34also what Jibril told the
19:35police. And again whether
19:36they're patriots apparent
19:38confidence which is what we're
19:38talking about. Is warranted.
19:40Whether their investigation was
19:42good enough. Whether they do
19:43have all of the facts. We don't
19:45know. Okay so that is
19:46categorically my stance I
19:48believe is yours as well.
19:49Because number two. The
19:51Patriots investigation probably
19:53largely consists of the
19:54evidence which his lawyer has
19:56claimed to be a video.
19:57Exonerating him or or
19:59contradicting what her claims
20:00are. To an extent we don't know
20:02which of all of the claims
20:03include him allegedly choking
20:04her. Slamming her head against
20:05the wall at least six times. We
20:07don't have the specifics but
20:08there's also real no reason for
20:10her defense team. To play ball
20:12here. They know the NFL's
20:13coming at this from a place of
20:15all not just. Pure morals. And
20:17trying to deliver justice here.
20:19Their interest is self interest
20:21in protecting their player. And
20:23the shield in any allegations
20:24against this which doesn't say
20:25they don't punish players who do
20:26bad things. But in this
20:28instance. Why would I share that
20:29with you. Knowing you could
20:31twist this or leak certain
20:32things that might damage my
20:33case even if it's only in the
20:34public. Court of opinion so if
20:36you don't have the defense team.
20:37Evidence or whatever they're
20:38alleging which is probably
20:39happened by now. By the way. In
20:41a pre trial conference and
20:42there's a joke. A date set for
20:43January twenty second. You don't
20:45have the whole picture. The
20:46point is. As you reported. I
20:48surmised. The Patriots are
20:50happy enough we'll see if it
20:51burns them if not in the
20:52meantime. To bro peppers is
20:54back. And I would I would guess
20:56is gonna play all five games
20:57what do you think happens next.
20:58Yeah I mean. Gerard wouldn't say
21:01definitively. That. Debris was
21:04going to play but it seemed to
21:06be trending. Let's say trending
21:09toward that happening. But I do
21:11want to say that. And talking
21:14with. One of my colleagues Matt
21:16mature. We both thought. Okay
21:22it it's one thing to be
21:23standing by. What your in house.
21:28Investigation provided. But you
21:32better be darn well confident
21:34because- if you're bill peppers
21:38is eventually found guilty. I
21:41mean. It's egg on their face it
21:45brings back and again two
21:47different completely different
21:49situations. It brings back to
21:52mind Aaron Hernandez. And
21:54Robert Kraft in the dynasty.
22:00Docu series saying he was duped.
22:04And he was going to be damned if
22:06he was ever duped again. By
22:08another player. Right so
22:13obviously. Robert Kraft spoke to
22:16gibberell peppers. To bro pepper
22:19said whatever he had to say.
22:21Whatever the investigation.
22:24Turned up. Satisfied the
22:27patriots enough to welcome him
22:29back. But again. If this cut
22:33kind of history keeps repeating
22:35that they trust the player. And
22:38then. You know come to find out
22:41later on yeah he was guilty of
22:43this. Awful domestic violence
22:46case throwing a woman down
22:48stairs and beating her I mean.
22:53And that kind of makes you think
22:54that boy they they had to be
22:56pretty sure. You you do are
22:58absolutely right you certainly
22:59hope so and again like just like
23:01the NFL the patriots interest is
23:03for all of this to be
23:04fabricated like whatever Robert
23:05says like there's a reason for
23:07them to be performative. About
23:09oh my gosh how bad this is and
23:10of course we're not holding him
23:12is this kind of moral standard.
23:14You know someone all the line
23:15draws Robert Kraft like there
23:17are plenty of other issues that
23:18are unrelated just like you know
23:20the Aaron Hernandez case you
23:21brought up. Very different
23:22situation so I don't want anyone
23:23coming after like oh my god
23:24they're not the same thing of
23:25course. Right but they're not
23:29But the point being that the
23:31idea like this should go beyond
23:34I believe the player. This
23:35should certainly go beyond I
23:36believe the lawyer he's employed
23:38to keep him out of jail. That
23:39guy has a job to do that guy's
23:40going to say what he needs to do
23:42that's just how lawyering works.
23:43This should go into hard
23:44evidence whatever they have even
23:46if it's obviously going to be
23:47incomplete. Seem persuasive to
23:49them that doesn't need to be
23:50persuasive to you or to me or
23:52anyone listening. But I think
23:53that just about wraps because
23:54Rob Peppers is gonna play
23:55football. It's a hard pivot from
23:57where we were seven weeks ago
23:58when he first went away and
23:59their stance and everything
24:00which also could have been
24:01performative- but we'll see the
24:03what the one last I'll say
24:04though is this. Unlike the
24:06players we just talked about
24:08where all dried really needs to
24:09know more about. Lane Robinson
24:11Cole strange receivers and
24:12yada yada. Like to bro Peppers
24:14is a fully formed NFL player.
24:17There's no more discovery there
24:19he's a hard hitting safety
24:20ideally a box safety but a
24:22little free safety. But there's
24:24no incentive for them to. You
24:25want him on the field they want
24:26to win obviously a little bit
24:27but it's a little bit less than
24:28if they were let's say pushing
24:30for the playoffs- or even
24:32contending beyond that is that
24:34fair. Absolutely fair okay. I
24:38just mentioned a hard pivot are
24:39you ready for another one I am.
24:42Price picks America's number
24:43one daily fantasy sports game

25:15after that stat you go more or
25:16you go less. So Drake may right
25:18now on price picks is at point
25:20five touchdown passes if you
25:21think he's going to throw more
25:23than half a touchdown pass put
25:24Drake may in your lineup
25:25touchdown passes and hit more
25:27if you think Drake may is going

25:58of the week by the way. Hunter
25:59Henry more than. Forty three
26:01point five yards this is a
26:03bottom ten defense for the
26:04Colts against tight ends. He is
26:05played well against the Colts
26:07recent matchups you can look
26:08this up. And I'm gonna go the
26:10one that I just threw out there
26:11Drake may more than point five
26:12touchdown passes because the
26:13kid is just going to get one
26:14I'm sorry. Actually I'm not
26:15sorry you're you're probably
26:16pretty happy about that. Here
26:18we go the Colts. Checking in on
26:20them they're five and seven.
26:21Twenty first overall by D. B.
26:23away twenty first an offense
26:25sixteen on defense their last
26:27four games a twenty four to six
26:29home loss to the Lions no shame
26:30in that. A twenty eight to
26:32twenty seven win at the Jets
26:34because everyone's doing it now
26:35the Pats the Colts last second
26:37just. Shanks just- before that
26:39a thirty twenty loss. Versus
26:41Buffalo before that twenty one
26:43to thirteen loss at Minnesota
26:45the Patriots three and nine.
26:46Now the worst team in the league
26:49going to be B. O. A. you might
26:50disagree I think I would thirty
26:52first an offense thirtieth on
26:54defense so I say to you between
26:56two. Bad teams Gary Green what
26:59interests you most about this
27:01football game. Seeing the
27:07Patriots approach. I mean you
27:11know are are they really going
27:13to do what Gerard Mayo said and
27:16have us get a start getting a
27:19better look at some of these
27:20players. Or because they're home
27:23against an opponent that they
27:25that they might think they have
27:27a chance to be. Whether they go
27:31well this is going to sound all
27:33odd go all out for the win- you
27:37know by putting Jabril peppers
27:40in there you know by. You know
27:42by having Kendrick Bourne play
27:45more more of the snaps- than
27:48Jalen Polk and- Yvonne Baker-
27:53and again that's that kind of
27:54tricky fine balance you know I
27:57think. I think the Patriots
27:59would like to. You know kind of
28:02privately Mayo. Would like to
28:05have as many wins is last year's
28:07team which is for nothing to
28:10brag about. But if you look at
28:13the rest of the schedule the
28:14rest of the way. This might be
28:17the easier. Of the remaining
28:20five opponents oh it is on
28:24doubt Lisa with with with two
28:25Buffalo Buffalo games on tap
28:28and who knows if they're gonna
28:29be playing for the top seed or
28:31or what. So I'm gonna be
28:36curious to see exactly how they
28:40make that balance of you know
28:43playing the regulars or trying
28:46to trying to get more Intel on
28:49these players that they don't
28:51know about. I like it it it
28:54it's interesting to because
28:55Gerard you know we we gave the
28:56three nuggets earlier. One thing
28:58that stuck out to me was his.
29:01Not insistence but his mention
29:02of the fact that again Hey we're
29:05laying the foundation you can't
29:06rebuild unless you have a
29:07foundation upon which. To build
29:10so this works so that is their
29:12attitude which tells me as I
29:14wrote and said here about a
29:15month ago. Hey they're gonna
29:16play the kids this is where the
29:18page turns. Out of the playoff
29:19race second half of the season
29:21these kids are gonna play. But
29:23at the same time culture. Relies
29:25on the results the by you're
29:26able to cultivate like proof of
29:28concept. And okay you've only
29:31lost two in a row here the Rams
29:32the Dolphins but the second one.
29:33Was such a step back that had
29:35all of us going oh my god it
29:36does raise the question of. As
29:37you're saying. Play the vets try
29:39to win. Or continue to rebuild
29:41latest foundation. Which also
29:43just. Even work like if the
29:45kids are bad. It's not helping
29:47anything now or later. Right
29:50you know I hearken back to.
29:52Bill Parcells first year and
29:54bill Belichick's first year.
29:57People don't probably don't
29:59remember it's like. Parcells
30:01was one in eleven. The savior
30:04bill was one in eleven to start
30:07that first season of his. And
30:10then they went on they won those
30:12last four games. To kind of
30:15build some momentum into are you
30:17know at least more positive
30:20thoughts more you know they
30:21showed progress. Whereas in the
30:24next year they won like ten
30:26games and were in the playoffs.
30:28So you got to tip to feel or
30:31see a little bit of that.
30:34Progress building momentum
30:37heading into the you know into
30:39the second year of bill
30:40Parcells existence and he was
30:43definitely under the rebuild.
30:47Category maybe not so much when
30:50bill Belichick took over. But
30:55he wasn't that great that first
30:57year his team that Patriots team
30:59that finished five and eleven.
31:02Didn't start out so great but I
31:04think they want three of their
31:05last six or most of their wins
31:07came in the say in the bottom.
31:10Year of the schedule and that
31:13and guess what happened the year
31:14after that. Andrew quiz. Yeah
31:18they they got into the playoffs
31:20and won the Super Bowl. So so it
31:23is important building that
31:25culture culture setting the
31:27foundation showing signs of
31:29progress. You know in progress
31:33you equate with wins you know
31:36heading into your heading into
31:37your next season. Yeah these are
31:39two separate things right and
31:41we'll we'll get into you know
31:42three to one three matchups two
31:44keys one wildcard thought we'll
31:45get out with a game pick. But
31:47the point about culture and
31:48foundation. It goes both ways
31:50that you need to have winning
31:52habits. Before you actually win
31:55but in order to reinforce that
31:57these are winning habits in the
31:58first place. There need to be
32:00results that show that. So for
32:03players it could be you know
32:05progress individually I'm
32:06getting better I see this I feel
32:08it I know it on tape. Or the
32:10team having a surprise win or
32:12closing a game that they've
32:14really not been able to close
32:15say for that Jets comeback win.
32:16And that's it which again the
32:17jet everyone to in the jets now
32:19the other team they've been
32:20since. Chicago just fired its
32:22head coach today and the day
32:23after losing to the Patriots for
32:24two days fire their offensive
32:25coordinator so that's what
32:26happens to you when you lose to
32:28the Patriots. You fall apart
32:30instantly top down but- it's
32:33culture is just habits and
32:35attitudes. That's all it is
32:36that there's no magical one
32:38there's no secret sauce. It's
32:39what are you doing day to day
32:40how often does that. Produce
32:42these type of results. And it's
32:44a it's a full circle thing all
32:45right. I one quick thing for me
32:48and then what I want to know
32:49your matchup is because a lot
32:50here that are really key
32:50battlegrounds I think they could
32:51kind of swing the war that that
32:53will be Sunday. Drake may
32:54discipline. Is something I
32:56talked about a lot of my last
32:57episode because he's got eleven
32:58turnovers right now. And ten
33:00touchdown passes okay. And what
33:02you've seen of these turnovers
33:04are not just of the- dumb kid
33:06rookie mistake kind of. Garden
33:07variety. It's been the same we
33:09saw it North Carolina his last
33:11year. The hero ball I need to
33:13make this throw I can make this
33:15throw I'm overcoming that
33:16protection and receivers don't
33:18get open this is me overcoming
33:20that I'll do it all on my own
33:21because I think I have to. And
33:23instead the ball goes the other
33:24team or fumbles or whatever
33:26might happen. And the Patriots
33:28seem to get that out of him in
33:29the first four to five games
33:30when you have turnovers but they
33:31want this Yolo ball hero ball
33:33attitude. The Colts play a lot
33:35of zone. They don't let's when
33:37they do they like to bring the
33:38defensive backs. To me Karen
33:40that's the shift we seen
33:41defenses take with Drake may.
33:43And I think that consistency-
33:45is good test his discipline.
33:47Because ideally the by week
33:48would be now it's not next week.
33:50But can he make a small U. turn
33:52for what I see is granted. Some
33:54games are down thirty one
33:55nothing you got to take chances
33:56that's not what I'm saying. Can
33:57he be a little bit more the
33:58Drake maybe saw. Earlier this
34:00year. Yeah that's a huge
34:03question and are these bad fit
34:06habits forming. Because of the
34:10situation he's in. You know
34:13yes he yes he tended to be play
34:15hero ball but- has that like
34:20grown because he really has to
34:22play hero ball in this
34:23situation because it he's it.
34:26There's nobody else. And I
34:28think to a different degree you
34:31saw that with Matt Jones. The
34:34difference is Matt Jones
34:35doesn't doesn't have the
34:36ability that Drake may has. You
34:39know. Matt Jones thrown across
34:42his body to the other side of
34:44the field when he's on running
34:45to the right I mean. That was
34:47like criminal for him. Really
34:51stupid for him to be ahead of
34:53Karen. But yet he yet that's
34:55what he was trying to do to to
34:57try and lift the team that was
34:59liftless. Basically Drake may
35:02has the ability to make those
35:05type of sensational plays I
35:07think you're right I think he
35:09needs to pick his spots better.
35:12But the other part that's a
35:13little concerning to me is he's
35:15like careless with the ball. In
35:18terms of you know that that
35:20sack fumble. You know he was.
35:24Trying to get out of the way
35:25but when you're trying to get
35:26out of the way you don't leave
35:28the ball. Hanging out in your
35:31right hand. You know I think he
35:34can fix those things I mean
35:37he's a fast learner he's a good
35:39learner. And I I think. You
35:43know I think he will be better
35:45about it. But by the same token
35:48you you don't want to totally
35:50take away. That quality in him
35:55that's a bit of a gunslinger.
35:58You know because he can make
35:59those plays. But he just has to
36:02learn. The time to do that you
36:05know the timing of it. In the
36:08situation. Yeah it's a fine
36:10line and there he's got more
36:11done his plate than he should
36:13and in those situations where
36:14he is creating. He's still
36:16among the more efficient
36:17creators when you look at stick
36:19quarterbacks who are past their
36:20first read and they get outside
36:22of the pocket like usually you
36:23lose some efficiency the more
36:25that you do this. But the elite
36:27best quarterbacks in the league
36:28right now. Patrick Mahomes Josh
36:29Allen's even. Jalen Hurts not
36:31historically but this season has
36:32been really good. Lamar Jackson
36:35obviously. Like those are the
36:37elite guys that are creating
36:38he's doing that and maintaining
36:40his efficiency in a way that you
36:41would say about an NBA team. Oh
36:43when so and so even Kobe Bryant
36:45at the peak of his powers was
36:46running isolation offense. Like
36:47the Lakers defense took a hit
36:49okay I should have given the
36:50Paul Pierce description. But
36:51like generally isolation
36:52offense. Is more inefficient
36:54you're not rooting for that.
36:55It's what happens at the end of
36:56games. But you can't build the
36:57whole plane out of that. And so
36:59even if the numbers are still
37:00good. He's he's at such a point
37:02in his career. You need to build
37:04the habits that fixes footwork
37:06to begin with. That had him
37:07playing. Not more conservatively
37:09but taking a profit when it was
37:10there. And again a lot of this
37:11is. Is motivated by circumstance
37:13the fact that they're behind he
37:14doesn't have protection. It's
37:16not a wagging his finger. The
37:17point is I hope the Patriots
37:18don't drag him back in the way
37:20they also help prop him up. With
37:21these better habits in the first
37:23place. Alright specific to the
37:24Colts give me one- matchup that
37:26you're watching on Sunday.
37:29Anthony Richardson versus the
37:31defense. Okay. Period. Big ones
37:33good one. He's I think he has
37:37like eight. Passing touchdowns
37:40and seven rushing touchdowns.
37:43And while the Patriots have
37:46faced a few mobile quarterbacks
37:47in there nothing like this guy.
37:51There are their offense half of
37:53it is design runs for him. So
37:57he he's gonna run he's a he's a
37:59big guy. And the Patriots have
38:03had a hard enough time stopping
38:06running games in particular. But
38:09if you add this quarterback into
38:11the mix. Again he might be able
38:16to be beat them single handed.
38:19Single handedly. Unless he gets
38:21tired and has to take a playoff
38:23or two here there you know from
38:25all the running. Running he's
38:28going to blow care. Well I'm
38:32sorry. It's true. They got a
38:35bench the next week yeah it did
38:37happen. But I I would be
38:40concerned that- you know they
38:44they fixed some of their edge
38:46issues and holding the edge but
38:49they haven't been consistent
38:51with it. So we'll see what
38:55Anthony Richardson can do or
38:57what kind of plan they have to
38:59negate his threat. It's a it's
39:03a good I mean this is like a
39:04matchup the key this might be
39:05just the whole game unto itself
39:07right like you're not expecting
39:08the Patriots offense. Bottom
39:10five scoring the entire NFL did
39:11pop off. Against Cole so let's
39:13say that they get to. Twenty
39:15degeneracy gets twenty points.
39:17What do you need to do then to
39:18hold the calls under that. And
39:20it is as I asked today is this
39:22a GTFB game. Get the F. back as
39:25Belichick used to say all the
39:26time to safety yes. He leads the
39:28league in yards per completion
39:30it's fifteen point eight it's
39:31insane. Yeah nobody's not
39:34throwing the ball deep he's
39:35doing exactly as you said. It's
39:36a quarterback run game. So he's
39:38a second leading rusher by
39:39design or sometimes scrambling
39:40is a very fundamental game.
39:42Keep him in the pocket. Make
39:44sure you're the deepest player
39:46on the field at all times over
39:47the Patriots defense are you
39:48have the deepest player. And
39:50that's it. If you just wait him
39:51out. He's gonna pull the pin.
39:53Hold the grenade. And implode.
39:55With one of eleven fumbles that
39:57he's got this year. Or the
39:58interceptions that you
39:59mentioned. You just have to do
40:01the simple things well stay back
40:02deep. And keep in the pocket is
40:04that too simple. Well we thought
40:07some of those game plans were
40:08simple for others. Miami's got
40:12the shifts in the motions in
40:13your eyes over here. But yes you
40:18know it would help if the
40:20defense again. Played well that
40:23you know. This guy's along with
40:26having a great rifle for an arm
40:29and can run all day long. As you
40:32said he's in these interception
40:34pros well the Patriots have had
40:36like. Created just two turnovers
40:39in the last six games or
40:40something ridiculous like that.
40:42Their turnover numbers are way
40:44down. Yeah two and six. So I
40:47think. You know again. He's a
40:51young quarterback if you get
40:53him into making mistakes they
40:55tend to multiply. So you know.
41:00Pick off a pass force a fumble
41:02do something. Just to you know
41:04just to kind of knock him off
41:06of getting. On a roll and in a
41:09rhythm you know where he can
41:11just basically pick you apart.
41:14All right two more matchups and
41:15I want to get to your key- for
41:16me Alec Pearson Michael Pittman
41:18junior six three. And six four
41:21versus one of Marcus Jones for
41:22Jonathan Jones five eight and
41:24five nine respectively is a big
41:26problem so Anthony Richardson
41:28yes as a completion percentage
41:29below fifty. He's got more
41:31interceptions than touchdown he
41:32fumbles a lot the dude. Knows
41:34who to throw to and with Josh
41:36downs out. So far right now-
41:38because he's not gonna play
41:39Coltsley receiver. Works over
41:41the middle field he's gonna go
41:42outside to his big giant targets
41:44against Patriots little corners.
41:45How often they play man how
41:47often they matched up. And you
41:48throw enough jump balls enough
41:49fifty fifty balls. They're gonna
41:51come down with one or two so
41:52it's a big matchup for me the
41:53second one is on. Offense for
41:55the Patriots because like I said
41:57even if they just get to twenty.
41:58They're gonna real problems in
42:00the middle of the line. DeForest
42:01Buckner. It's been Brent.
42:04DeForest Buckner a eats against
42:05Patriots every single year.
42:07Because that's what they played
42:08them the last the last three
42:09years in a row. And he only has
42:11four and a half sacks is pine
42:12queen pays got five and a half.
42:13He's a higher sack percentage.
42:15Okay based on games played. And
42:17he's a freaking stud. So I'm on
42:19the Colts you play a lot of.
42:21Even fronts lot of four down.
42:22But when they get into obvious
42:23passing situations. They'll put
42:25one over the center with a guard.
42:27And over the tackle. And then
42:28one defensive end of the opposite
42:30side to get him. Theoretically a
42:32one oh one if not one's left.
42:34If I'm the Colts. I play that
42:37front. Or version of it. All the
42:39time. Put pressure on Ben Brown.
42:41A small center against DeForest
42:42Buckner. Or Lane Robinson and
42:44pass protection. Because it's a
42:45problem the Patriots need to
42:46have an answer for. And not just
42:47an answer probably plan B and C
42:49and maybe D. Yeah I. You're
42:52preaching to the choir. I can't
42:54argue with any of that. That
42:55those those things were on my
42:57list too. I just wanted to pick
43:01the sexier one. Go ahead. No you
43:03did. Key to the game. Patriots
43:06have to do this one thing. And
43:07it's not score more points. And
43:09you can do the turnover thing
43:10which is fair. But what what's
43:12the one key to this game for
43:13them. Well it it revolves around
43:17what you just said. They have to
43:18protect Drake. Because again as
43:23we've seen. You know him having
43:25to constantly leave the pocket.
43:30Or him having to constantly try
43:32and get away from free rushers.
43:36Has led to mistakes. Right. So
43:39and you know it's kind of the
43:41overall thing. They have to sort
43:42of win the turnover battle. So
43:45you know that's one of them.
43:47They have to stay on side.
43:49That's another one. But you
43:52know ultimately. They the
43:55offensive line has to protect
43:57better. You know let the kid
44:02have a chance to make plays.
44:04You know that aren't these all
44:06worldly plays that he's that
44:08they're forcing him to have to
44:11make. Because I think he can be
44:13pretty darn good if he gets a
44:15few seconds in the pocket. Sits
44:17back there reads the field and
44:18throws the ball. I mean I think
44:21he he has that ability too. We
44:23just haven't been able to see
44:24much of it. Because he's
44:26constantly having to run away.
44:30To avoid sacks. Or just to try
44:33to make a play. It's probably
44:37the most salient point. It's
44:38just going against an average
44:40defense. Against a run in the
44:41past. I've just given up on the
44:43idea that the Patriots can get
44:44to 30 points or 27 or 24. So I
44:45just I just say I've accepted
44:47low 20s. High teens. Which to
44:49me points back to the defense.
44:50Because to to your point. Back
44:52up for a second. I would love to
44:54go hey you gotta go tempo.
44:55Right like you can't block
44:56these guys. You gotta tire them
44:58out. They're gonna play that
44:59same four down front. Like go a
45:00little no huddle. See what
45:01happens. But what happened last
45:03week. At a very normal regular
45:05speed. Was five pre snap
45:07penalties on offense the first
45:08half. Can't go fast. If you
45:10don't know how to go slow.
45:12Can't run. So you learn how to
45:13walk. So I went defense. I've
45:16already said it. GTFB. You
45:18cannot let out Pierce or Michael
45:20Pittman Junior. Beat down the
45:21field. Adonai Mitchell. Also
45:23hanging around. Second round
45:24pick of the Texas. Big fast
45:26dudes. You gotta have answers.
45:28Christian Gonzalez World Race
45:29one. What are you doing the
45:30other side of the field. And.
45:31Are you sure. I saw a whole. I
45:34saw a whole game against the
45:36Rams where. He didn't go
45:38against. Their top two guys.
45:39Well I did say one side of the
45:41field. You know. He'll be.
45:43Whether it's. You know what I
45:44mean. Like. Unless they're
45:45gonna. Put them all in a stack
45:47or a bunch. You know. Which the
45:48Rams also did a ton of them.
45:49I wonder why. You think they're
45:50too negative. I can't. I can't
45:53right now. Anyway. Get the.
45:55Back. That is my key to the
45:56game. Wild card thought. I. I'm
45:59excited to hear what you say on
46:00this. Because you know the rule
46:01for this is it's anything
46:02tangential to the game. It
46:03could be off the field. Could
46:05be historical. As long as you
46:06say Patriots or Colts. It
46:07counts. But one thought we
46:09haven't talked about. About
46:10this game. The coaches. Beyond
46:14Gerard Mayo. I mean I think.
46:17Despite the record. Despite how
46:18it's looked. I. I cannot see.
46:21The crafts. Let him go. After
46:24one year. Right. But. God we
46:28just. Saw what happened in
46:29Chicago. With. A head coach
46:32who. Had no clue. No idea what
46:33clock management was at the end
46:35of a game. But. That being said.
46:40Gerard. I believe has to take a
46:43look at his own staff. As well.
46:46Does. Demarcus Covington need
46:49help. Does. Alex Van is Alex
46:53Van Pelt. The guy he wants
46:56leading Drake May over the next
46:58few years. You know. I think
47:03Gerard has to has to come to
47:05grips with. You know perhaps
47:08some changes being. You know.
47:12Needing to be made. But I think
47:16I mean he said. Earlier in the
47:18week that everyone's being
47:20evaluated. Well I hope that
47:23that means he's evaluating to
47:26his coaching staff. Going
47:29forward in the next five games
47:31let me put it to you like this.
47:33In a very twenty twenty four
47:34sports podcast way over under.
47:37Three and a half assistants gone
47:39heading into next year over
47:40under half a coordinator. Gone
47:44heading into next season. I'm
47:50gonna go. Over now I'm gonna go
47:56under on the assistance. And
48:00over on the coordinator okay
48:03all right. My wild card thought
48:05is completely self indulgent
48:07this is going to be my one
48:08hundredth game covering the
48:10Patriots in person. Underscore
48:12in person regular season or
48:14postseason which I know for you
48:15has a second making you think
48:17how many games it's been- you
48:19don't have to give an answer or
48:21guess but I just- you know in
48:23the spirit of the week and
48:25exceptionally. Grateful and
48:26thankful and that is something I
48:28said to you at the top which you
48:29know that there's nothing I can
48:30say now that I haven't told you.
48:32Off the air or you know in
48:33person and just. How long we
48:35work together but even my star
48:36at mass live with Jim Pignatello
48:38and- you know working with.
48:40Nick O'Malley and that Matt
48:41Vautour and all those guys it's
48:42just been. An incredible ride
48:46and it's one of those numbers
48:46that makes a pause makes a stop
48:48and I had to count and figure it
48:49out because COVID eight into
48:50this number quite a lot twenty
48:51twenty we didn't travel. As you
48:52know with the Herald always in
48:54twenty twenty one. We're back at
48:55in twenty twenty two and twenty
48:56twenty three. You miss a game
48:58here there for a wedding- but it
49:00just. I don't take a whole lot
49:03of time generally to sit and
49:04reflect on anything and- this is
49:06making me do that and- feeling
49:08is overwhelming gratitude so
49:09thank you for being there for
49:10for more than half of those and-
49:12you know just just help along
49:14the way. That's a it's a big
49:15number. It is- and just to add
49:19to that. From my own side- I've
49:23been around a little longer. A
49:25little over under five and a
49:26half five hundred. Well I've
49:30been covering sports for about
49:32forty years for zero. It's my
49:38phone getting very excited to
49:39hear you say that. Is that
49:40applause. I was reminded radio
49:43I'm not supposed to do today
49:44anyway just let me. With more
49:46annoying sounds. I couldn't
49:47have dropped into the Boston
49:50sports scene. Parachuted in at
49:53a during a better forty year
49:56span- and that includes you
50:00know it's almost like book
50:01ending. The bookends were boy
50:04everyone was terrible when I
50:05started in. Boy most of the
50:08teams are bad now. But the time
50:11in between. I mean I literally
50:13covered the entire. Belichick
50:16Brady run for those twenty
50:18years. I all but maybe one or
50:20two games. Out of that twenty
50:22year span that's insane. I was
50:25earning Reese. I yeah maybe
50:27Perlow and- that's it. I was
50:30there I was just watching the
50:32Red Sox series on Netflix. And
50:37I was at all those games when
50:39they came back. To beat the
50:41Yankees and when that first
50:43World Series. I mean so that
50:46you know between that. I was
50:48there for Bruins winnings
50:50Stanley Cup I was there when
50:52the Celtic I was just there
50:53last year. But the Celtics one
50:56can you know covering not a
50:57spectator. Covering these
50:59events. And I feel so
51:04incredibly blessed- to be
51:08doing what I'm doing and forty
51:10years later still loving what
51:12I'm doing. Good we love having
51:15you- I don't know how many
51:16people are sick of hearing us
51:17but- this is the week. The
51:19people and- also blessed for
51:21everyone who's been listening.
51:22The thousands on listeners and-
51:24viewers and just. Really
51:25appreciate it it's a fun form
51:27where you know. Typical fashion
51:29until you are a camera going.
51:30Hard cap thirty five minutes and
51:31whether it's you. Or Ted
51:33Johnson- I draw out the longest
51:35and most hot air. Out of anyone
51:37across from me because we've
51:38gone over fifty one now. So
51:40let's get out on this let's get
51:41out on the game pick. And then
51:43we will not have a long winded
51:44goodbye. It will just be very
51:45quick. So give me who do you
51:47think wins on Sunday. Well I'm
51:50gonna drop my pessimist cap and
51:52I'm gonna have the Patriots
51:54squeaking by. The Colts. Score
52:00out. Twenty three twenty. Nice
52:06I'm with you. And there are
52:08a lot of us last I checked
52:09over two and a half point
52:10underdogs at home. Nineteen
52:11sixteen it is sloppy as hell
52:13but they get to celebrate and
52:15laugh and joke. Much as they
52:16want locker room which they can
52:17always do I'm just gonna.
52:19Port about it. After the game
52:21but I'm sure Mark Daniels and
52:22Greg Bidart and I will get. A
52:24couple cracks or two which
52:25might happen this week as well.
52:27She's Karen Gregan reader as
52:29always reader sooner than I did
