Adding Images and Icons to Your Slides_ A Step-by-Step Guide

00:00 Here, I'll show you how to add images and icons to your slides and make adjustments

00:06 So let's get started.

00:08 So first, select the layout in which you want to insert an image.

00:14 Then just select the placeholder and click on the icon here.

00:19 Clicking it will open a window where you can browse your computer to find the image that

00:24 you want to insert.

00:25 And once you find it, you can select it.

00:27 You can either click the insert button here or double click it to insert it in the page.

00:35 When adding an image, it would be great if the chosen image will reflect the colors of

00:40 the section that you're in to ensure that your presentation stays on trend.

00:44 So here, I chose an image with some green on it since we're in a green section.

00:52 And under the video, you will find a link to the SharePoint folder where you can access

00:56 pre-approved royalty-free images for the brand.

01:01 Once your image is imported, let's say it's not to your liking, you can always resize

01:06 it and move it inside the placeholder box.

01:09 So to do so, simply select the image, go into the picture format contextual menu here, and

01:16 select the crop button on the right.

01:19 Clicking it will enter the image edit mode.

01:23 You can then select the image, you can resize it with its handles, you can move it around,

01:32 you can even flip it by clicking under rotate here.

01:36 And there's a flip, you can rotate it as well.

01:39 Let's say I want the tablet to face the inner side of the slide, so I'll flip it horizontally.

01:49 And when I'm satisfied with it, I can move on to the next thing.

01:56 So you can always play around with these options to get the desired results.

02:00 So let's move on to adding an icon.

02:03 To add an icon, it's the same workflow as an image.

02:05 So you simply click on the icon inside the placeholder, we'll open the window, double

02:12 click on the icon that you want, and that's it.

02:18 If you want to change an image or an icon, you simply select it, hit the backspace, and

02:30 You can repeat the process of resizing and cropping using the handles until you're satisfied

02:41 Just be careful when you're in the crop mode not to play with the placeholder handles here,

02:48 because that would change the image inside the page.
