How to Insert an hyperlink into a Keynote File
Transcript
00:00 Hey there, in this video I'm going to show you how to insert an upper link into a keynote file.
00:06 So let's say you have a page looking like this. As you can see in the text box, I wrote here
00:11 "click here to learn more" and here "more on that in the tech chapter". So those will make a bit
00:17 more sense if we add links to them. So to add links, all you have to do is go into the text box
00:23 and highlight the text you want to link. So here I'm going to do that and then right click, do
00:29 "add link" and then you have four choices. Slide, web page, email or phone number. You're most likely
00:36 going to use slide or web page, so let's start with web page. You click on it and then it opens
00:42 a little pop-up like this, where you can change the text that you highlighted. You can also change
00:48 to another thing if you change your mind, so just slide, email. I'm going to keep web page and here
00:53 all you have to do is paste the URL you want to link to. From here you can either click outside
00:59 to validate or you can open link to just check if it's fine. And as you can see here,
01:05 looking pretty good. So you can close it and now there you have it. If you want to add a link to
01:13 a chapter page instead or another slide, you do the same. Highlight, right click and then you can
01:20 do slide instead and then you have various choices. Previous, first, slide or a specific one. Let's
01:26 say I want slide 10. So you can again click outside or go to slide to validate. There you go.
01:33 Links can be formatted differently. So if you want, even though it's underlined, you can do
01:41 some more. You can put it in bold, you could change its color as well if you want, to a little green
01:47 to fit the page, whatever. We just highly encourage you to not change the formatting too much so it
01:53 stays coherent with the rest of the presentation. And that is pretty much it.
