00:00 All the backs are in, Harry Thomas is there.
00:02 He's still on it, he's over, is it grounded?
00:07 Yes it is! Game on in Cardiff!
00:11 It was the classic game of two halves wasn't it?
00:13 We spoke in the changing room at half time about
00:17 working hard to drag the game away from a set piece battle.
00:21 Give credit to Italy, they've got massive strength in that scrum
00:24 and they had dominance there and we challenged a few of the referee calls
00:29 on a few of them but they're a dominant scrum set piece.
00:31 But once we managed to get the game away from a set piece battle
00:35 we showed our ability with the ball and it came out obviously four tries.
00:38 They had dominance in one aspect of the game but we also felt hard dumbbell
00:42 and a few jackal penalties and opportunities that we created in the top end of the field.
00:47 But like I say, it managed to turn itself around a little bit in that second half.
00:52 We started winning collisions in the midfield
00:54 and gave us opportunity to strike into those wide channels.
00:58 Offensively we were outstanding.
01:00 They had opportunities with the scrum but actually when they started moving the ball
01:04 they didn't get past three or four phases due to our line speed and pressure at the breakdown.
01:08 And it was actually, if we could limit those breakdown penalties
01:11 that was our way into the game which we showed in the second half.
01:14 But yeah, we went in confident that if we actually got our game onto the field
01:17 in that second half we'd challenge them.
01:19 It just shows how big momentum is in the game.
01:22 The boys started feeling that momentum and worked hard off the back of it.
01:26 And we had some really good carries in the middle from Jordan Morris when he came on.
01:31 And I thought our halfbacks, both nines, really controlled the speed that we played with.
01:37 And yeah, obviously really great to get those guys.
01:40 Take the scrum out of it.
01:43 We were probably the dominant ball carriers.
01:45 We're definitely the dominant defensive team.
01:47 And it was just about trying to get the ball in play as much as we can.
01:50 Try and keep the ball on the field, run them around a little bit,
01:54 make them tired and they'd make errors.
01:56 Four unanswered tries in that 25-30 minutes after the half-time put us in the driving seat.
02:03 And yeah, also really pleased that we held on at the end and didn't concede right at the death.
