00:05to Do Next Week.

00:08First up, in central Lancashire, the Brockholes Village Fete takes place on Saturday, August

00:133rd and Sunday, August 4th. Running between 10am and 4pm, the event features artisan market

00:20stalls selling local handmade items, traditional fete games, competitions, Morris dancing,

00:27live music and entertainment, a classic vehicle showcase and street style food. Tickets are

00:33£20 for the day and cover as many people as you can legally fit in your car.

00:37Over on the Fylde Coast, Rebellion Festival returns to Blackpool between Thursday, August

00:431st and Sunday, August 4th. The largest punk and alternative music festival of its kind

00:50will open its door to some 8,000 music enthusiasts for four days of top class music, entertainment,

00:57merchandise and even a literary festival. This family-friendly event sees visitors

01:02from all over the world come together in their shared passion of the punk and alternative

01:06music scene. Tickets are still available, costing £230 for the full festival or £88

01:13for the day.

01:14Up in Morecambe, the town's 1940s Revival Festival is on next Saturday, August 3rd and

01:21Sunday, August 4th. Describing itself as the best little 1940s weekend in the country,

01:28the event sees various music acts perform across the two days, as well as a 1940s DJ,

01:34free dance lessons, a vintage market and a Navy, Army and Air Force Institute's cafe

01:40at the Memorial Hall, offering sandwiches, cream teas, cakes, beverages and soft drinks.

01:46There will also be a Saturday night swing dance ball from 7.30pm at the Memorial Hall,

01:51which features swing lessons, a live DJ and is bring your own booze.

01:57Next up, in East Lancashire, the Hindburn Sound Music Festival 2024 takes place between

02:02Friday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 4th. The free music festival is hosted in 20-plus

02:09pubs, bars and restaurants in Accrington and Baxenden, with over 30 artists performing

02:15across the weekend. You don't have to book any of the events, but organisers would appreciate

02:20it if you would let them know you're attending on the Facebook event.

02:24Finally, just outside of Lancashire and Wigan, the Brick Community Stadium, which is home

02:30to Wigan Athletic FC and Wigan Warriors, will be opening its doors on Friday, August 2nd

02:36to raise awareness of the number of people in the borough experiencing poverty and homelessness

02:41and to raise vital funds for the Brick charity.

02:44So swap your bed for a sleeping bag for the night, with the event promising to be full

02:48of entertainment and fun. Tickets are £5 for kids and £10 for adults, and there's

02:54a family offer available as well.
