00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel.
00:02In this video, I will explain the ending of Sunrise, so, let's begin.
00:06Sunrise is a 2024 horror film directed by Andrew Baird and written by Ronan Blainey,
00:11starring Guy Pearce and Alex Pettyfer.
00:13The narrative follows Fallon, a former law enforcement officer turned vampire, grappling
00:17with his dark nature in a rural town haunted by a gruesome crime, here is everything you
00:21need to know about the ending, just to let you know this video will contain spoilers.
00:25Reynolds, a staunch nationalist American, has been portrayed as extremely racist and
00:30is seen getting into a conflict with a peasant, Mr. Loy.
00:33Reynolds told Mr. Loy, a mongoloid, that since he was not the same race as him, he did not
00:38have a right to own land in America.
00:40Reynolds believed that only the original inhabitants of the land were capable of holding a piece
00:44of land.
00:45He had been forcing Mr. Loy to give up his piece of land to him, but when Mr. Loy refused
00:49to do so, he was murdered.
00:52The racial prejudice is so strong that Reynolds couldn't take no for an answer from an Asian
00:56man.
00:57Meanwhile, Mr. Loy's family had been struggling to make ends meet since his disappearance.
01:02They knew that Reynolds had murdered the breadwinner of their family but did not have any strong
01:05evidence to prove his crime.
01:08Mr. Loy's son, Edward, was also seen to be bullied at school for having a different origin
01:12than the rest.
01:14The intolerance of the white skin towards the other races rings throughout the film.
01:18When the family was least expecting any help from anywhere, Fallon came into their lives
01:22to help them attain stability.
01:24Edward found a vagrant in the backyard of their house and thought that he could be Reynolds'
01:28man.
01:29He injured the man, but Yen was compassionate enough to keep him in her house for a while
01:32to make sure that he would get better.
01:34They kept Fallon locked in a room and after a few days, when he started getting better,
01:38he told Edward that he needed fresh blood.
01:41This made it possible that Fallon was the actual Red Coat who had come to their house
01:45in disguise to rid them of their woes.
01:48Why was Fallon's family killed?
01:50It was later revealed that Fallon was a cop 10 years ago and was on bad terms with Reynolds.
01:55Once, when Reynolds' neighbor heard his wife screaming, he complained to Fallon, anticipating
02:00that Reynolds could have hurt her.
02:02We get a hint that Reynolds has an incestuous relationship with his mother when he kisses
02:05her and that has driven him to kill his own wife.
02:08When Fallon started investigating this case, Reynolds planned something ominous to stop
02:12the investigation.
02:14Reynolds' men dragged Fallon and his wife out of their house in the middle of the night,
02:18tied them to a tree, and left them to die there at the hands of the A Red Coat.
02:22When the A Red Coat finally arrived, it accepted Fallon's wife as an offering but left Fallon.
02:28On the contrary, the entity slid its own hand and made Fallon drink its blood to impart
02:31some of its energy to him.
02:34It is possible that the entity had seen fear in his wife's eyes and had fed off of it,
02:37while Fallon's fearless eyes caused it to reject him as an offering.
02:41Being unable to bear the pain of losing his wife, Fallon had come back to avenge his loss.
02:46He would now help the Loy family get justice so that another Reynolds would not be able
02:50to uproot a family just based on their race.
02:53Why did Reynolds attack Yen and her children?
02:56Reynolds was hell-bent on snatching away that land owned by the Loy family.
02:59The family knew that he was the real killer of Mr. Loy but was unable to prove it.
03:04Reynolds knew that they would threaten his existence someday so he decided to get rid
03:07of them.
03:08When he realized that the family had been providing shelter to his old enemy, Fallon,
03:12he was furious.
03:14He tried threatening them by killing their pet dog first.
03:18He tried to attack Fallon but he bit him, making him lose his sanity.
03:22It is possible that Fallon had some kind of infection running through his body after he
03:26drank the blood of the A-Red coat.
03:28During Sunrise's ending, Reynolds sent one of his men to kill Edward, but while trying
03:32to save him, Reynolds' daughter, Rachel, was killed.
03:35On hearing the news of his daughter's death, Reynolds lost his mind, kidnapped the Loy
03:39family, and took them to his factory.
03:42When he was about to butcher the entire family, Fallon jumped in, stabbing Reynolds and injuring
03:46him.
03:47He dragged Reynolds underneath the tree where his wife was killed and burned him alive.
03:52What are the symbolic elements in the film?
03:54Sunrise revolves around a fictitious element of the religious faiths of the people from
03:58the Pacific Northwest Forests.
04:00They believed that the forest was a sanctuary for a divine entity who protected the forest
04:04from evil eyes.
04:06It was also said that in the forest, God would also grant an eternal life to anyone who would
04:10make animal sacrifices and offer their blood.
04:13The blood of the offerings was said to nourish the powers of the divine creature, and it
04:17was often referred to as the A-Red coat by the local people.
04:21The entity was said to feed on the fear of the victims.
04:24Antelopes have been a significant symbol in the film, which highlights the spiritual element
04:28and is part of African beliefs.
04:30The antelopes are believed to be symbols of freedom, which is able to find its path even
04:34through harsh terrains.
04:36When Mr. Loy's body is found in the end, the antelope signifies a path of freedom for
04:40Mr. Loy to transcend above the physical world and depart freely into a spiritual world.
04:45The justice that the family had been waiting for had been finally served, helping Mr. Loy
04:49attain moksha.
04:50What will happen next?
04:52Even though Fallon is seen to burn along with Reynolds in the last scene, it is possible
04:56that he would resurrect.
04:58He had gained divine powers after drinking the blood of the A-Red coat.
05:02The other members of the Loy family will now be able to survive in peace after Reynolds'
05:06death.
05:07However, we can expect a sequel to the film, where the family would face new challenges
05:11from other enemies.
05:13That's all for now folks.
05:14I would appreciate it if you could give the video a super thanks with a thumbs up and
05:17subscribe to the channel so you can see more content like this every day, take care, bye!
