00:00I'm really sad that Morphine has been eliminated
00:02just because I know how bad she wanted to make it to the end.
00:05But I'm also excited because I made it to the top four.
00:09It's going to be so boring without Mo.
00:11I'm rooting for all of you.
00:13Morphine, love, Dionne.
00:15We love you, Morphine.
00:17How are you feeling, Safira?
00:19This was not a part of my family.
00:21This was not a part of my family.
00:23This was not a part of my family.
00:25This was not a part of my family.
00:27Morphine.
00:29How are you feeling, Safira?
00:31This was not a part of my fantasy.
00:33That lip sync was probably my favorite
00:35of the entire season thus far.
00:37When she said Safira,
00:39I was expecting her to say Morphine.
00:41Shantay, you said.
00:43Because Morphine's a sickness.
00:45It's going to be so different without her.
00:47It is. It's going to be so quiet.
00:49I'm going to get a BBL and I'm going to Morphine's doctor.
00:51Bye, Chrome.
00:53I think the queens are living
00:55in a moment of inevitability.
00:57I've been the juggernaut bitch.
00:59They're like, yay, it's finally,
01:01perfect Safira is not perfect.
01:03But if these queens think that
01:05because I was in the bottom once,
01:07it's going to affect me at all,
01:09they should know me better by now.
01:11First of all, congratulations.
01:15Oh my gosh, thank you so much.
01:17Welcome to the 4 wins club.
01:19Oh, sister, I almost didn't make it.
01:21For the first 3 people that hate leotards,
01:23it's not just about the costume.
01:25It's about the makeover.
01:27It's about the family resemblance.
01:29It's about how we made our makeovers feel.
01:31And your bitch was dressed like a Muppet.
01:33Oh, you're a sickening concept.
01:35A concept.
01:37You wouldn't know anything about it.
01:39Oh, is that so? Okay.
01:41Q and I definitely have sort of like a sibling rivalry
01:43at this point.
01:45We like tormenting each other a little bit.
01:47But, you know, there's always some truth to the jabs.
01:49Breast cups and leotards and shoulder pads, mama.
01:51What's the scoreboard, baby?
01:53Well, there's been plenty of people with high scoreboards
01:55that haven't won this competition.
01:57Not a lot, though.
01:59Speaking of the scoreboard, let's tally it up.
02:01Let's start with the lowest.
02:03That's Nymphia with 1.25.
02:05Well, if I'm 1.25,
02:07technically they only 3 1⁄2 wins.
02:09So 2 wins and 2 wins.
02:11Four and a four.
02:13I don't have as many wins as, like,
02:15Plain or Saphira,
02:17but I definitely think
02:19that maybe some of the wins that they have
02:21should have been mine anyways.
02:23So I'm just gonna count those mentally.
02:25How's everyone feeling
02:27now that we're the top four?
02:29I'm feeling... I'm sickening!
02:31I'm feeling, like, so great.
02:33Just praying to the gods above
02:35that the next challenge
02:37has nothing to do with any comedy writing
02:39or writing of any sort.
02:41Do you watch the show, Tamar?
02:43You made it to the end.
02:45Does that not prove to yourself
02:47that you are sickening
02:49and you are that bitch?
02:51At some point, you guys can start believing that.
02:53Deep down, I know what needs to be done,
02:55but everyone's so good.
02:57It will definitely be a battle and struggle.
02:59Whoo!
03:01Top four!
03:03Top four! Top four!
03:05Top four! Top four!
03:07Booty looking good.
03:09As much as I love my sisters,
03:11it's game time.
03:13It is all about me now.
03:15It seems to be shaking in their boots
03:17that I'm still here.
03:19Shaking your boots while I walk in my biscuit heels.
03:21It's about to go down.
03:23Aah!
03:25Wee-hoo! Wee-hoo!
03:27Wee-hoo! Wee-hoo!
03:29It's a new week in the work room
03:31and we are the top one, two, three, four.
03:33We're definitely not sure
03:35if there's gonna be elimination.
03:37We're hoping it's gonna be a top four,
03:39but, you know, you never know with drag queens.
03:41Where is everybody?
03:43I don't know!
03:45It's like I can breathe.
03:47I feel free to just be me now.
03:49Who have you been the whole time?
03:51Bitch, who knows?
03:53What I mean is the happy version of me.
03:55The happy version?
03:57I feed off of other talented individuals
03:59and I feel like everyone here is very talented
04:01and we kind of got rid
04:03of the rabble and the scraps.
04:05The rabble and the scraps?
04:07She loves to just get her little licks in,
04:09but if you try to lick her, she'd be like...
04:11She'd be like...
04:13Hello, hello, hello!
04:15Yay!
04:17My top four queens.
04:19Yay!
04:21Congratulations on making it to the semifinals.
04:23Now, before we leave these hallowed halls,
04:25I want to share some advice.
04:27Stay kind, stay humble,
04:29and don't be afraid to play the fool.
04:31Oh, pit crew!
04:33Oh!
04:35Oh!
04:37Oh!
04:39Oh!
04:41Oh, no.
04:43I don't like this.
04:45Safety first.
04:47Now, for today's mini challenge,
04:49you'll be lip syncing for your life...
04:51underwater.
04:53Oh!
04:55That's right, aqua boogie.
04:57I am gagged.
04:59I am shook.
05:01I do not want to get in water.
05:03It is too early for this shit.
05:05Now, you've got ten minutes
05:07to do a swimsuit drag,
05:09and then I'll meet you
05:11at the pool.
05:13Let's go.
05:15Go!
05:17Time for a swim.
05:19Well, that doesn't fit.
05:21I don't like the view
05:23that I'm seeing right now.
05:25All right,
05:27my little mermaids.
05:29It's time to play
05:31kiddie pool karaoke.
05:33Now, one at a time,
05:35and deliver a breathtaking lip sync.
05:39Saphira,
05:41assume the position.
05:43Wow, look at those jugs.
05:45My goodness, and they're waterproof, aren't they?
05:47And they're far apart.
05:49Where'd you get those?
05:51We got our ways.
05:53You're not gonna tell.
05:55You got a breastplate connection, girl.
05:57I got a breastplate connection.
05:59All right, come on, Pacoima.
06:01Hey!
06:03Oh, it's hypnotic.
06:05Ho, ho, ho, ho!
06:07Is that what you call
06:09a breaststroke?
06:11Hey, kiddie girl,
06:13it's your world
06:15when you walk the streets
06:17up and to the beat.
06:19Hey, kiddie girl,
06:21get your twirl
06:23in the disco heat.
06:25You're a boogie,
06:27matter of fact, queen.
06:29RuPaul is trying to waterboard us.
06:31RuPaul is your rom-rom queen.
06:33People say that when the dog
06:35is away,
06:37kitty cats are gonna come out
06:39and play. Hey, kiddie girl,
06:41it's your world
06:43when you walk the streets
06:45up and to the beat.
06:47Hey, kiddie girl,
06:49get your twirl
06:51in the disco heat.
06:53You're a boogie, matter of fact, queen.
06:55You're a boogie, matter of fact, queen.
06:57You're watching Adult Swim.
06:59You're a boogie, matter of fact, queen.
07:01You're a boogie, matter of fact, queen.
07:03You're a boogie, matter of fact, queen.
07:05You're a boogie, matter of fact, queen.
07:07You're a boogie, matter of fact, queen.
07:11Well, I guess not everybody
07:13knows the lyrics to my song.
07:17Well, well, well.
07:19Just when you thought it was safe to go back
07:21in the water.
07:23The winner of your final mini challenge
07:25is...
07:27Tafira!
07:29Yeah!
07:31You've won a trip or two to the
07:33Al Mar Resort and
07:35Manta Mar Beach Club in
07:37Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
07:39Ooh!
07:41Airfare included.
07:43Oh, my God!
07:45It makes drowning myself worth it.
07:47Now, ladykins, earlier
07:49this season, we had fun
07:51doing a book cover mini
07:53challenge, but now,
07:55for queens, I want you
07:57to dig deeper.
07:59Inspired by my memoir,
08:01The House of Hidden Meaning,
08:03for your final maxi challenge,
08:05I want you to put pen to
08:07paper and write stories
08:09about your life.
08:11Okay.
08:13We have to, ta-da,
08:15write our own book.
08:17I did say I hope
08:19this week's challenge has nothing
08:21to do with writing, and, um...
08:25Then you need to come up with a catchy title
08:27for your book. Next, you'll
08:29pose the random house down
08:31for a cover shoot with celebrity
08:33photographer Albert Sanchez.
08:35Ooh! Fabulous.
08:37And last but not least, each of you will be
08:39interviewed by the award-winning
08:41podcaster, the co-host
08:43of Los Culturistas,
08:45Matt Rogers.
08:47What?
08:49Now, this will be the first of many interviews
08:51in your drag race career, so keep it fun,
08:53keep it interesting,
08:55and don't forget to plug your book.
08:57Now, will
08:59your charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent
09:01thrust you to the top
09:03of the bestseller list, or
09:05leave you at the bottom of the
09:07dollar bin?
09:09And who will make it through to the grand finale
09:11of RuPaul's Drag Race?
09:13This is turning into a real page-turner.
09:15Racers, start your
09:17engines, and may the best drag queen
09:19win.
09:21Whoo!
09:23We're gonna write.
09:25How the fuck did this happen?
09:27Because you literally said,
09:29I don't want a writing challenge.
09:33The last time I wrote something
09:35was, like, in college, probably,
09:37so it's been a couple years.
09:39First thing I have to do is write some stories
09:41about my life for this memoir.
09:43This challenge is about letting your audience in,
09:45and I'm gonna be vulnerable.
09:47What are you thinking about?
09:49What my situation was growing up, and, you know,
09:51how it led to me, like, where I am now.
09:53More like a serious tone, I guess, to it.
09:55Yeah. Or truthful.
09:57Yeah. I kind of do prefer to keep everything lighthearted
09:59and ha-ha when it comes to drag.
10:01Very Plain Jane-esque. Yeah.
10:03Great writers also have to read books,
10:05and I read social media posts,
10:07so I want to write stories that contextualize
10:09the fun, whorish bitch that
10:11Plain Jane is.
10:13Now's not the time for the dead grandma story.
10:15I don't know it.
10:17You got this.
10:19You're funny. Yeah.
10:21Looking.
10:23Are you comfortable with writing?
10:25I don't like to do it, but I am good at it.
10:27I'm gonna, like, write a little bit about my family
10:29and, like, my spirituality as well.
10:31Oh, my God.
10:33Now I have to dig deep into the depths of my memories.
10:35What kind of book do you want to write?
10:37Something that doesn't land me in the bottom.
10:39I've had a hard time
10:41writing lyrics and jokes,
10:43but this is writing.
10:45I don't necessarily have to be funny.
10:47I just need a good story.
10:49Are you gonna write why you like bananas so much?
10:51The banana.
10:53The banana?
10:55Banana man.
10:57The banana man? Not even the banana woman?
10:59Is that seriously the name of your book?
11:01No!
11:03I was thinking maybe, like,
11:05Breaking Wind, The Art of Letting Go.
11:07Everything's all about farting.
11:09Fart!
11:11Fart!
11:13Can I do a better fart?
11:15Fart!
11:17Fart!
11:19No, I'm not giving up.
11:21Fart!
11:23Nymphia, you in danger, girl.
11:25Fart!
11:27Oh, the last one. That was a good one, the last one.
11:29Fart!
11:31There you go.
11:33You got it.
11:35Nymphia, come on over.
11:37This is my book cover photo shoot.
11:39Even though I do feel very nervous writing,
11:41I do love photo shoots,
11:43and I'm another person in front of a camera,
11:45so I feel very confident for once.
11:49Say hello to celebrity photographer Albert Sanchez.
11:51Hi, Albert Sanchez.
11:53Hello.
11:55So, Nymphia, what's the name of your book?
11:57Breaking Wind, The Art of Letting Go.
11:59This outfit exemplifies that title, doesn't it?
12:01Yes.
12:03So why don't we start
12:05with a little body shot, okay?
12:07Okay.
12:09Can you lift the arms a little so we can get some air in between?
12:11Okay.
12:13Yes, there, perfect, yes.
12:15I'm serving a ferocious catwoman.
12:17Can you show teeth?
12:19A pleasant mouth that is open and inviting.
12:21I thought an inviting mouth looks like this.
12:23laughs
12:25Let's try the Cosmo cover on her.
12:27This is what it looks like, it's like this.
12:29See this arm?
12:31It disappears, it's back here.
12:33Surprisingly, there's no bananas in my book.
12:35I felt like it would be interesting
12:37to show a different side to Nymphia.
12:39I'm serving strength
12:41and also letting go.
12:43You want to do this kind of thing
12:45where you get the silhouette is very delineated, you know?
12:47I'll take that.
12:51Take this foot and put it a little forward
12:53so it doesn't have to bend, like, yes.
12:55Oh, nice, maybe you can lift one leg.
12:57Oh, that's great.
12:59Nice, nice, nice.
13:01It seems very effortless,
13:03but, girl, these shoes are so heavy.
13:05I'm like...
13:07Oh, boy, that's great silhouette.
13:09I think we got it.
13:11Well done.
13:13I know I killed that photo shoot.
13:15One last push of self-confidence, and we're there.
13:17I love photo shoots,
13:19but I'm definitely, like, a little bit nervous
13:21to have this one-on-one time with Ru.
13:23So, Q, what is the title of your book?
13:25Alphabet Soup, Savor Every Bite.
13:27That's a long title.
13:29Do you bite soup?
13:31You know, you take a bite out of life,
13:33whether it's good or bad,
13:35you have to, like, live in it and enjoy it.
13:37So for the cover of your book, what are you thinking?
13:39Head and shoulders, full body?
13:41Um, maybe a head and shoulders,
13:43or, yeah,
13:45the full body, let's do a full body.
13:47Okay, I would like to do, like...
13:49Nice.
13:51Or, like, a...
13:53Let's work on this one. Hold on.
13:55You'll go one, two, three, lock.
13:57It's kind of a branding challenge,
13:59and, you know, my drag brand is fun and joy
14:01and, you know, fashion and camp.
14:03Connect with the camera. Like me, like my book.
14:05So I just really want to sell that
14:07through, like, my book cover.
14:09Chin down, but long neck. I know it sounds weird.
14:11You want to get your lips over your teeth.
14:13Say with your mouth, do you like pussy?
14:15As in Pussycat.
14:17Do you like pussy?
14:19Twist that body. Chin down.
14:21Say it again.
14:23Do you like pussy?
14:25That's pussy.
14:27You can handle it, honey.
14:29Ru and I are connecting.
14:31She's giving me a lot of poses to do.
14:33Put this here. Yeah.
14:35You're sexy. Cosmo cover.
14:37I'm feeling great about how this is turning out.
14:39This is my cookie lion look.
14:41I am the queen of the empire,
14:43serving a 15-foot-long ponytail
14:45and snake skin all over.
14:47So what's the title of your book?
14:49Slewfoot.
14:51Consider your book sold. I'm gonna buy that book.
14:53Do you have any ideas for how you want
14:55the book cover to look?
14:57I had a couple of ideas, mainly this around me.
14:59Here, let me help that.
15:01You want this sort of wrapped around you.
15:03To do a photo shoot with the legendary mother?
15:05Come on, now. Dream.
15:07So you know your shape, don't you?
15:09Yes, ma'am.
15:11Come on, Source Magazine.
15:13Come on, LaToya.
15:15Where your head is, that three-quarter is always your friend.
15:17Oh, she wrapped up all up in his heels.
15:19Yeah.
15:21Come on, Sequoia.
15:23Me and Mama Ru get along like old friends.
15:25I'm so happy to have this experience.
15:27This is something I'll never forget.
15:29Come on, where Lil' Kim and them at?
15:31Yes. Slewfoot, the series.
15:33Coming this fall on BET.
15:35The O Network, honey.
15:37Yes, honey.
15:39We are good.
15:41Very well done.
15:43Thank you so much.
15:45All right, well, we'll call your agency
15:47and send the check right over.
15:49I am walking on sunshine.
15:51I nailed this photo shoot.
15:53Hi.
15:55So Plain Jane, you're missing a shoe.
15:57I am.
15:59So my book title is Plane Crash.
16:01Yes.
16:03An expose, how I walked away from disaster.
16:05I know the premise, but later,
16:07do we have the option to put the shoe on?
16:09Absolutely.
16:11You could look beautiful after a plane crash.
16:13I feel a little intimidated.
16:15Ru knows exactly what she wants.
16:17I just survived a crash,
16:19and I'm going to Disney World.
16:21Relax into this pose.
16:23Make it feel natural and covergirl.
16:25And this hair, can you take it
16:27and make it go all the way on that side
16:29without it falling off?
16:31Yeah.
16:33Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
16:35I'm a top model, and Ru is Tyra in this moment.
16:37Mother is getting me together over here.
16:39Ready? And one, two, three.
16:41Yeah, work the fan.
16:43Connect with the camera.
16:45I'm really feeling my, like,
16:47natural woman fantasy
16:49with my human hair blowing in the wind.
16:53You just survived a crash,
16:55and you look gorgeous.
16:57Ha, ha, ha!
16:59I'm scared to even venture
17:01into that dream of a fifth wind.
17:03We are done.
17:05Awesome. Thank you.
17:09But, hey, I mean, anything is possible,
17:11so we'll see.
17:13Authoress Plain Jane.
17:15It's time to promote my memoir with Matt Rogers.
17:17I feel great about the stories that I've written.
17:19They're funny, they represent
17:21who I am as a drag queen.
17:23I'm ready to tell all and really sell my book.
17:25I am simply thrilled to be here
17:27with top four contestant
17:29on season 16 of RuPaul's Drag Race
17:31and the author of Plain Crash,
17:33How I Walked Away from Disaster,
17:35Plain Jane. How the hell are you?
17:37Well, I walked away unscathed
17:39from disaster, so I...
17:41Oh, thank you.
17:43That's so sweet of you. Well, you haven't seen, you know,
17:45my down south region, you know?
17:47We're here to talk about your book.
17:49Okay, fantastic.
17:51So, in your book, you speak in a chapter called
17:53Being a Bitch Can Be an Act of Kindness.
17:55Yes.
17:57About how one of your good duties
17:59was a bitch to you, and it served you well.
18:01Before, I was this glamorous woman
18:03that you see today. I was just a baby
18:05drag queen, a booger, if you will.
18:07And six months into sort of practicing
18:09my makeup, I thought that I was ready
18:11for the spotlight. Yes.
18:13And my friend said, girl, you look like a clown.
18:15A clown. Girl, you look like a clown.
18:17And this image that I was envisioning
18:19faded away and was replaced with
18:21reality that I looked
18:23insane. But that same friend
18:25who really woke me
18:27for my trance ended up being
18:29the same person who encouraged me to continue.
18:31I followed my friend's advice
18:33and, you know, lo and behold, I became gorgeous
18:35and, you know, completely textureless
18:37and I won't hear otherwise.
18:39So do you find that being a bitch
18:41can be an act of kindness
18:43has been something you've applied in this competition?
18:45You know, throughout this competition,
18:47throughout this process, I've realized that they're sort of
18:49attacked to being bitchy.
18:51You've had to realize that?
18:53I have been bluntly honest
18:55with some girls in this competition
18:57and some of them haven't liked it.
18:59But at the end of the day,
19:01guess where they are sitting? At home.
19:03And I'm right here, so maybe they should have listened
19:05to calling me a bitch. My good friend Amanda,
19:07who I know is watching this,
19:09you know, I still love you, girl,
19:11and I'm rooting for you.
19:13For the other members of the top four,
19:15if you had to be brutally honest in a gift-giving way,
19:17what would you say to them?
19:19Ah!
19:21Okay, you know, for Keua, it would be her makeup.
19:23For Nymphia, it would be her charisma.
19:25And for Sephira, it would be her taste.
19:27Ooh!
19:29Sometimes when an interviewer asks you
19:31to get a little shady, you don't have
19:33to do that.
19:35So, you know, work those out, girls.
19:37Love you so much!
19:39Ah, well, good luck in the top four.
19:41I think that you're amazing. You're so funny.
19:43And the book is Plane Crash,
19:45How I Walked Away from Disaster,
19:47and there's clearly many life lessons in there.
19:49That's right. I'm hoping for that number one spot
19:51on the New York Times bestseller list,
19:53you know, fingers crossed.
19:55Look out, RuPaul.
19:57Not to compete with Mama, so maybe number two.
19:59Maybe number two.
20:01You've been doing great.
20:03So I'm reading in your book,
20:05Slew Foot Embracing All of Me,
20:07which, can you just explain, what is slew foot?
20:09So I have hip dysplasia,
20:11and my foot slews out to the left
20:13whenever I walk,
20:15and so I kind of walk like a pigeon.
20:17I mean, like a penguin.
20:19Like a pigeon penguin.
20:21So there is an amazing chapter of your book
20:23called Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen
20:25that is all about your grandmother, Nona.
20:27My Nona, yeah.
20:29So if you could describe Nona in one word,
20:31what would it be?
20:33Loving.
20:35Why do you think it is that little gay boys
20:37gravitate towards their grandmothers?
20:39Because I have that, too.
20:41I always have a soft spot for my grandmother,
20:43and I do feel like she got me.
20:45Oddly enough, my Nona had a very big problem
20:47with my homosexuality,
20:49and so she kind of was like,
20:51I don't want you to go to hell.
20:53And my mom was like, you know,
20:55that's not what sends you to hell, right?
20:57And also, I have a thing
20:59that if you have a problem with me,
21:01I will give you some space,
21:03and then when I come back,
21:05if you still have the same problem,
21:07I'll give you more space.
21:09But typically...
21:11They missed you.
21:13They miss me.
21:15They always miss me.
21:17I mean, come on.
21:19I'm going to miss you when you leave.
21:21I'm already having separation anxiety.
21:23Just going back to the title of your book,
21:25my friend RuPaul calls me
21:27sleuth foot all the time.
21:29And at first I was a little embarrassed by it.
21:31Really?
21:33But I realized it endeared her toward me,
21:35and it made me just embrace
21:37not only my sleuth foot,
21:39but a lot of things about myself.
21:41I embraced the fact that I was homeless once.
21:43I accept me when I'm happy.
21:45I accept me when I'm sad.
21:47I accept me when I'm being a bitch.
21:49But I always accept me.
21:51It's so easy to talk to Safira.
21:53It's so easy to talk to me.
21:55I actually felt a little bit intimidated.
21:57But when I'm speaking to her,
21:59she's looking me dead in the eyes,
22:01and I'm immediately on her level.
22:03Now I guess everyone reading your book
22:05can accept the sleuth things about themselves.
22:07We're all a little sleuth.
22:09Don't forget, buy my book,
22:11Sleuth Foot, Embracing All of Me.
22:13RuPaul's Drag Race top four contestants.
22:15Has that sunk in yet?
22:17It is absolutely wild.
22:19So were you one of those girls that walked in
22:21and was like, oh, absolutely, absolutely.
22:23You were feeling your fantasy from the beginning.
22:25Yes, you have to.
22:27So here we are, Alphabet Soup,
22:29Savor Every Bite.
22:31I'm guessing that has to do with the cue of it all.
22:33Yes, you know, the cue to soak that all in,
22:35just taste that for a moment.
22:37So from Kansas City, Missouri, to here,
22:39what's the drag journey been like for you?
22:41My mom introduced me to theater,
22:43and I did theater all throughout high school.
22:45And then I started doing drag
22:47like my final year of college.
22:49So I definitely belong somewhere.
22:51You know, a lot of queens that I talk to
22:53say that their mother actually
22:55is in their drag in some way.
22:57Do you feel like your mother
22:59is represented in your drag?
23:01Yeah, I definitely feel like our humor
23:03is like very much the same.
23:05And you know, we did all this artistic stuff together,
23:07and she always was my biggest supporter
23:09in that when other people weren't.
23:11So you know, a lot of her is in my art form.
23:13So speaking of family,
23:15you talk about what it was like to grow up
23:17in a big family household.
23:19I want to know, was there a moment
23:21when you realized that your family
23:23maybe had a little bit less than everyone else,
23:25was in a different situation?
23:27Usually like around Christmas time,
23:29because my mom, I could always tell
23:31my mom got like in a little bit of like a sadder mood.
23:33And that's when I kind of started to realize
23:35there were a lot of times
23:37where our utilities were shut off,
23:39or you know, like we had to go eat at our grandma's.
23:41Your mom was a single mom,
23:43and she raised four children.
23:45So if she's listening to this podcast,
23:47what would you tell mom listening?
23:49I would just want to tell you
23:51that I love you,
23:53and thank you for everything that you've done for me.
23:55And I love you so much.
23:57Just sharing about how she came from very humble beginnings,
23:59that is the kind of thing
24:01that really endears you to people.
24:03That has to be so cool
24:05to be able to look back
24:07and know that there were such humble beginnings,
24:09and now you look around at all this.
24:11Yeah.
24:13That has to be really surreal.
24:15Yeah, that's kind of what my book is about.
24:17It's about savor every bite.
24:19You know, the bad things,
24:21and the good things,
24:23and all the things that happen to you in your life.
24:25You know, you learn something from it,
24:27and it leads you to where you are.
24:29You know, bad things can happen,
24:31but your life can still move on in a very positive way.
24:33Hopefully see me with a crown later on.
24:35Thank you so much.
24:37Nymphia Wind, how are you?
24:39I'm doing great.
24:41Relax.
24:43Well, I got to read a couple stories from your book,
24:45Breaking Wind, The Art of Letting Go.
24:47I think you're so funny.
24:49In one of your stories, you tell a date story,
24:51and you talk of a harrowing experience
24:53of being ghosted by a date.
24:55So we did go out in the park
24:57for our second date.
24:59So I went on the slide on all fours,
25:01because I didn't want my ass to get dirty.
25:03You're on a second date, you're getting on all fours.
25:05I get it.
25:07Yeah.
25:09And I was like,
25:11I think I stepped on shit.
25:13I stepped on dog poo,
25:15and then it somehow traveled upwards onto my hand.
25:17And did he help you clean off?
25:19No.
25:21You know what, I always say,
25:23if you can't accept me at my covered in dog poo,
25:25you do not deserve me at my top four on RuPaul's Drag Race.
25:27Very much that.
25:29You were very honest and candid in this story.
25:31And then you do get a little bit more revealing.
25:33You talk about what it was like growing up in Taiwan
25:35and being inundated with images
25:37of yourself from the West.
25:39Yeah.
25:41Growing up, seeing a white man,
25:43high features, a tall nose and the brow bones
25:45and the thick brows and the beard,
25:47the beauty standard of the world was that.
25:49Looking into the mirror, I was like,
25:51I look nothing like that at all.
25:53It just really created this self-doubting,
25:55like, I don't feel attractive
25:57because I don't look like that.
25:59Do I have the ability to attract anyone
26:01that would like me for just my natural features?
26:03I just never knew
26:05how to escape that, you know?
26:07So I always played with makeup and cross-dressing.
26:09I feel like I could really change up
26:11how I look,
26:13and I can escape my face, in a sense.
26:15It's like drag helped you
26:17bring out a fantasy,
26:19but also helped hide things in a way.
26:21Yeah.
26:23I really hated looking in the mirror in general,
26:25like, growing up, yeah.
26:27Even till now, I don't have the habit
26:29of staring myself into the mirror
26:31unless I have to do makeup.
26:33It's something that I am
26:35building upon, my confidence.
26:37So I feel like drag, even though
26:39I may not be able to solve the problem,
26:41it really did help me to, you know,
26:43build my own self-confidence,
26:45even without the makeup, and still looking in the mirror
26:47and feel like, you know what?
26:49There is something beautiful there.
26:51Nymphia, I can tell, is really opening up to me
26:53the more I talk to her, and I'm excited about that
26:55because she's got a very unique story to tell.
26:57Just because someone appears,
26:59like, they are taking on the world
27:01there is still that insecurity and vulnerability
27:03at the core, which every single person
27:05can identify with.
27:07Hopefully it can help someone out there
27:09who's still struggling and finding themselves
27:11and finding what's beautiful about them.
27:13So, Nymphia Wind, the book is
27:15Breaking Wind, The Art of Letting Go.
27:17Break wind and break legs
27:19in the competition.
27:21In the interview, I just felt really good
27:23because all I had to do was just be myself.
27:25Now walk that stunning ass off this runway.
27:27Oh, you want to see my ass again?
27:29Bye.
27:31There it goes. Oh, wow. Amazing.
27:37I said, these queens can underestimate me,
27:39but the one who's winning is me.
27:51It's a new day in the workroom,
27:53and it's judgment day,
27:55and I am in my self-confident era,
27:57and I am believing in myself
27:59that I am absolutely not going to land in the bottom two.
28:01This has been such a wild ride.
28:03And we made it.
28:05And we made it.
28:07And we made it.
28:09How do y'all feel about the challenge?
28:11I feel really good.
28:13My look was sickening.
28:15My interview went really sickening.
28:17I'm sickening.
28:19Those are some bold claims.
28:21I think I have a great chance of winning this challenge.
28:23I think my stories are insightful
28:25because this challenge was all about
28:27literally being ourselves.
28:29Yeah, literally.
28:31And that's what I kind of excel at.
28:33How do you feel, Nampia?
28:35Oh, I felt really good doing it.
28:37I felt comfortable.
28:39And finally, for once, after a challenge,
28:41I feel confident with what I did.
28:43Good.
28:45Everybody is feeling great about how they did,
28:47so that kind of, you know,
28:49worries me a little bit
28:51because somebody has to be in the top,
28:53What do you think was your
28:55strongest point in the competition
28:57and what do you think was, like, your weakest?
28:59I think my strongest part of the competition
29:01was the competition.
29:03Oh, just the whole thing?
29:05I just think I was strong the whole time.
29:07The weakest part of my competition
29:09was the makeover challenge,
29:11but I felt like I was able to let go
29:13in that lip sync and really have fun.
29:15I want to be in the finale so badly.
29:17So get out of my way.
29:19It's time for me to go get my crown.
29:21I think one of my highest moments
29:23was the outfit I made for the goth challenge
29:25was just, like, beyond anything
29:27I thought I could do, like, in that amount of time.
29:29In a day?
29:31In a day.
29:33The lowest, actually, my lowest is not even
29:35when I was in the bottom two.
29:37I feel like my lowest was, like,
29:39how hard I was being on myself
29:41for, like, the bathroom challenge.
29:43Yeah.
29:45I think my journey here at Drag Race
29:47has been a really, really exciting one.
29:49That says something about America's Next Drag Superstar,
29:51that they are this multidimensional person
29:53that has their up days
29:55and low days.
29:57I will say that bathroom challenge
29:59kind of got to me as well,
30:01just because it happened at the point that it happened at.
30:03Girl, it got to me, too,
30:05because of you.
30:07It got to me through you.
30:09Through me, yeah.
30:11But then you turned it the fuck out.
30:13Exactly, we did.
30:15Yes, I've had a moment of self-doubt
30:17where I've let the pressure crack me a bit,
30:19but I pieced myself together
30:21and, yeah, I just went full steam ahead.
30:23How about you, Nymphia?
30:25What was your lowest?
30:27I think it's similar to Q,
30:29where in the middle of the competition
30:31I was really insecure about myself
30:33and just really not sure.
30:35I could really never tell with you
30:37whether you were actually unsure
30:39or, like, playing a game.
30:41I'm just really struggling.
30:43Nobody believes you, Nymphia.
30:45What kind of game can I play
30:47or, like, gain from if I act like I'm just nervous?
30:49Because you would be saying
30:51that you're, like, you know, not confident,
30:53and then you would come out
30:55in, like, a sickening runway look,
30:57and you would kill the challenge.
30:59No, because that, for me, is when I feel very insecure
31:01is when I'm turned off.
31:03Like, I just feel, like, those are genuine feelings
31:05where I feel very nervous and really in doubt and insecure.
31:07But, like, on the stage,
31:09I, like, instantly have to turn on,
31:11because you don't have any other choice.
31:13I understand how these other queens can see this
31:15as a strategy, but
31:17honestly, this is just how my brain works,
31:19and, like, there's no strategy behind it.
31:21All my struggles and all my self-doubt
31:23are all real, and it's just a process
31:25for me.
31:29What was everybody's, like, first impression
31:31of each other when we, like, first met?
31:33You know, Saphira and Q, I first met
31:35when y'all walked into the workroom,
31:37and Saphira walked in with those really bright
31:39contact lenses. They were very striking.
31:41And her breasts,
31:43they've truly experienced a growth throughout the season.
31:45Ah! Ah!
31:47She said, first Fisher-Price,
31:49now the world!
31:51Yeah, that's right. But yeah, Saphira definitely
31:53had a presence when she first walked into that room.
31:55Q, on the other hand,
31:57was stumbling over her two left feet,
31:59honey. I don't know why you say that. I walked in
32:01just fine. She was wobbling.
32:03Wobbling on those kidney heels.
32:05I think Plain and I are very similar
32:07to, like, my sisters back home. We always read
32:09each other to absolute filth.
32:11And, you know, that's part of what makes us so close.
32:13It's kind of like when everybody says, I'm the only one
32:15that couldn't dance, but then Plain would get up there
32:17and rattle her bones around on the stage.
32:19Oh!
32:21He rattled my bones. Not rattle her bones.
32:23Wibble, wibble, wibble, wibble, wibble.
32:25I'm not saying that she did.
32:27Ah!
32:29Get her ass! Get her ass!
32:31Get her ass!
32:33My rattling bones look far more
32:35graceful, delicate, and
32:37coordinated than anything
32:39that you could ever pull out, Miss Q.
32:41You know, I may be rattling my bones
32:43out of drag, but there's a lot of padding
32:45in drag, and it looks really good.
32:47It did look good. I have the body for it, unlike
32:49my sweet sisters, you know, sitting up here
32:51with me today. You have the oatmeal brows for it.
32:53Shit!
32:55Oh!
32:57Ha ha ha!
32:59God damn it!
33:01Check her!
33:03The love language of a drag queen is
33:05definitely throwing shade. So I feel like
33:07as a group, Season 16 has really bonded
33:09in a way that we're so comfortable with each other.
33:11I need to work on my blending soon if Fia doesn't
33:13read me, so y'all have fun. I mean, you're
33:15kind of a lost cause, in a sense.
33:17You've been trying for many episodes,
33:19and I don't see that blending getting any better.
33:21She said, well, I mean, if I were you,
33:23I would just stop. Sister, just like you've
33:25been trying for a win for many episodes, but it's not gonna
33:27happen. We'll see. Enjoy.
33:29We have one last challenge.
33:31And it's your favorite, a writing challenge.
33:33And a speaking challenge.
33:35It should go really well.
33:37They be shading us,
33:39but, you know. Shading me? They were shading you,
33:41Mama. Don't bring me into that.
33:43Don't! Don't!
33:45Mama, don't bring me
33:47into that! They were getting your ass!
33:49They be
33:51shading you, bitch, not me!
33:53I'm hoping there's a top
33:55four. I really don't want any of these girls to go home.
33:57I kind of want us to just, like,
33:59go into the finale, hand in hand.
34:01And we made it.
34:03All we know is that this is the semifinals.
34:05Which, I don't remember her ever using this term
34:07before, so. But,
34:09I think there's gonna be an elimination tonight.
34:11And that's kind of scary.
34:13Oof.
34:15Welcome to the semifinals of RuPaul's
34:17Drag Race. It's the president
34:19of the Drag Race book club,
34:21Michelle Visage. And that's because
34:23I can judge a book and
34:25its cover.
34:27And the gorgeous T.S.
34:29Madison. Now, Maddie, are you
34:31well-read? I like big books and
34:33I cannot lie.
34:35And welcome
34:37back to the show, author and journalist
34:39Ronan Farrow. Ru,
34:41it is the semifinals! I haven't
34:43been this nervous since I took a paternity test.
34:45Oof!
34:47This week we challenged
34:49our top four queens to
34:51launch their new books.
34:53And tonight on the runway, category is
34:55Fandango.
34:57Racers, start your engines.
34:59And may the best drag queen win.
35:03Up first,
35:05Q.
35:07Fangirling out already.
35:09That is too, too good.
35:11I'm just reveling in this moment.
35:13I'm wearing this really structured
35:15orange fan tutu.
35:17And then it goes into a tight little corset that is
35:19beautifully encrusted. And I have
35:21a huge fan back piece that
35:23is just like framing this ornate
35:25hair. It's giving a little bit ballerina.
35:27It's all screaming fans in like a really
35:29cute, intricate way.
35:31You can find her on OnlyFans.
35:35Saphira. Big fan
35:37of this look.
35:39This is my final runway
35:41and I choose to walk it like an African
35:43queen. I'm giving you African fabrics
35:45and then boom, I'm giving you
35:47these pleated fans
35:49that fall down. Look up
35:51Roberto Cappucci, the fan.
35:53Honey, these titties are nice in space.
35:55I am a winner.
35:57You know what you call that hairstyle? What?
35:59Wagon Wheel Watushi! Yeah!
36:01Nymphia Wynn.
36:03Oh, it's Marine Fantinette.
36:05What the me cake?
36:07This is an Asian version of Marie Antoinette.
36:09So I'm wearing a period dress
36:11with all the clouds and the dragons
36:13and the waves. And I'm
36:15fanning myself and suddenly realize
36:17I'm so hot. And I flip out
36:19my fan skirt and realize it's
36:21my pussy is on fire!
36:27That's what I call a firecracker.
36:31Plain Jane.
36:33Almighty Aphrodite could never.
36:35I'm eloquently floating
36:37down this runway as if I'm
36:39descending from Mount Olympus.
36:41My titties are
36:43glistening and they're being framed
36:45beautifully by this encrusted
36:47armor piece.
36:49I truly feel like a G-O-D-D-D.
36:51Wait, there's not three D's in goddess.
36:53But there will be
36:55in me tonight.
36:57Talk about champagne problems.
36:59Bitch, please.
37:03My top four queens,
37:05welcome! I gotta say, I had a
37:07great time with y'all yesterday
37:09during the photo session. Mother-daughter
37:11time. And it's been an amazing
37:13season. I know how hard
37:15you have all worked, how
37:17I've pushed you to the limit.
37:19You are some strong
37:21queens. Creative,
37:23loving, funny,
37:25wonderful. So keep that
37:27in mind. Not just tonight, but
37:29forever. And now,
37:31it's time for the judges' critiques.
37:33Up first, Q.
37:35Q, this has been so fun
37:37to watch you in this competition. You
37:39have been fighting. You've grown
37:41throughout this competition. You've been
37:43very vulnerable. And in the
37:45podcast, I learned so much
37:47more about you. I was really getting
37:49emotional because I have a very strong
37:51connection with my mother. And I'm so glad
37:53that I learned that about you.
37:55Because it made me understand why
37:57you fight so hard to be, you know,
37:59who you are and where you are.
38:01But I felt in some of the looks
38:03on the book cover out here tonight,
38:05I'm not seeing what is clearly
38:07a life story that has given you a lot
38:09to say. I really wish
38:11that you would have worn this outfit
38:13right here for the cover of your book.
38:15Your book is called Q, Alphabet
38:17Soup, Savor Every Bite. It's cute.
38:19It doesn't really tell me
38:21what it is. I would have
38:23probably chosen something else. Q is
38:25such a great name. You could go James
38:27Bond. Yes, you can
38:29go James Bond. You don't know me.
38:31Oh, I like that, Michelle.
38:33Is there anything else you want to add?
38:35I just want to say thank you so much for
38:37letting me be here on this stage. It's been a
38:39dream of mine for a long time. And I'm
38:41really happy to show what I've shown here.
38:43Well, you've earned your position
38:45on this stage, and I'm so proud of you.
38:49Alright, up next, Saphira.
38:51Saphira, you got a new fan in me.
38:53That reveal was the single
38:55most dramatic moment we got on the runway.
38:57You know, so much of powerful drag
38:59is about being oneself
39:01defiantly.
39:03I think you achieved that.
39:05You're telling stories about your Nona that made me feel
39:07I know you. You have
39:09the ability to put people at ease
39:11and be very forthright.
39:13When I read pieces of your book and watched
39:15you on the podcast, I understood
39:17you more. You're stomping out all
39:19those people who doubted you, and you
39:21counting them up, like one you, two you,
39:23I'm stomping you with this slew foot.
39:25Then when you're talking about you used to be self-conscious
39:27about it, it's so funny how
39:29we see that so differently from this side
39:31of the table. I love that you
39:33grabbed the bull by the horns and called your book
39:35Slew Foot.
39:37Reclaimed it, and made it something
39:39that you could take to tell your
39:41story. That's brilliant. You're there
39:43in that Missy Elliott squat.
39:45You are full of defiance.
39:47Just look him.
39:49Marketing 101.
39:51Show the slew foot.
39:53And that's what you did.
39:55Nymphia wins.
39:57Your book cover photo, as
39:59a single piece of photography, my favorite.
40:01It sells exactly who you are.
40:03This look tonight, adorable. I think my
40:05favorite thing, obviously, the fan nails.
40:07To be completely honest, if I never see
40:09another Marie Antoinette look on this runway,
40:11nobody will be happier than me.
40:13My favorite part of your look
40:15is definitely your hot pussy, girl.
40:17It's just definitely on fire.
40:19Every T
40:21is crossed. Every I
40:23is dotted with you. I don't worry about
40:25that. What I worry about is the
40:27self-love that I want to give to you, because
40:29you deserve it. It tore me
40:31apart hearing the disdain
40:33that you experience when you look in the mirror,
40:35but the fact that you shared it with us was
40:37priceless. Thank you.
40:39Watching your podcast interview, the part of your
40:41story that was about Taiwan and
40:43your self-esteem, I was riveted.
40:45During that podcast, we
40:47fell in love with
40:49you. You revealed
40:51so much of the pain that
40:53you've been through, and by shining
40:55a light of awareness on it, that
40:57is the cure right there. Through the
40:59course of this competition, you know,
41:01a little squirrely with trying to get a
41:03straight answer out of you. I think a lot
41:05of times it's trying to think of what to say,
41:07but with that challenge, it was like, you know what,
41:09just take in a deep breath
41:11and relax, and really just, because
41:13the only thing you have to do is just be yourself, and you're
41:15telling your own story. Please remember that.
41:17That is the answer. That's the right
41:19answer right there. That's it.
41:21Up next, Plain
41:23Jane. Tonight, you
41:25look amazing. This
41:27Aphrodite goddess look,
41:29I love all of it. This looks like a
41:31Bob Mackie. This looks like something that
41:33was on the Cher show
41:35or the Carol Burnett show, but
41:37your book cover, it didn't do
41:39this. That hair
41:41was very small. It was
41:43a human unit, so they tend to be less,
41:45you know, voluminous. You didn't want to tease her?
41:47Um, she had a little
41:49face tease.
41:51We tried to pump up that flat hair.
41:53We put a fan on it.
41:55I had
41:57you flipping that hair, trying to get some volume
41:59up in there. In the podcast interview,
42:01I struggled to see how the
42:03pieces come together. You know, there was the
42:05slightly shadier part of the discussion, but then the other
42:07stories didn't connect to that, nor did they
42:09really connect with the theme of
42:11walking away from disaster or trauma.
42:13I needed to hear you, and I
42:15didn't get that. What I got
42:17from this was, you a shady
42:19bitch. This book
42:21is about you, and I didn't know
42:23who you were. Every time I
42:25go and talk to you in the workroom,
42:27I could see you go into your head
42:29to be very deliberate about what you're
42:31saying. Why do you think
42:33you don't reveal more of
42:35the underbelly?
42:37I feel very, very powerful
42:39and very secure in myself
42:41when I'm in drag, and
42:43I don't necessarily feel like
42:45that very much when I'm out of drag,
42:47so I've kind of built
42:49up this persona, and that's
42:51what I kind of lead with as plain Jane.
42:53No, listen. I understand completely.
42:55In terms of marketing, in terms of show
42:57business, in terms of life, it's
42:59revealing the soft underbelly that
43:01allows people to love you.
43:03Thank you so much.
43:05Thank you,
43:07Queens. I think we've heard enough.
43:09While you untuck backstage,
43:11the judges and I will deliberate.
43:15All right. Just
43:17between us girlfriends, I want to know
43:19what you think. Let's start with Q.
43:21Listen, Q has kind of killed
43:23it throughout the competition, save from a few times.
43:25Right out the box, where we fell in love with her
43:27in the talent show, and then she did that gorgeous
43:29welcome to the dollhouse. She won that
43:31wine. See you next Wednesday, that huge
43:33coat. It was absolutely gorgeous.
43:35And then she did the DragCon 1980.
43:37It had the red ribbon collar where she then
43:39came out to us as positive, and that was very
43:41honest and vulnerable.
43:43I can see that this is an incredibly strong
43:45queen who's capable of really
43:47inventive, interesting looks. I just
43:49can't see that on display in this episode enough.
43:51The look for the book cover,
43:53I want it more. She chose this Belle
43:55A-line design, but it was all frilly and stuff.
43:57So yes, it's beautiful, as is everything
43:59that she makes, but she couldn't do much
44:01with it as far as the shape goes.
44:03And that's what we got. Her standing
44:05in a bowl of alphabet soup, and
44:07I'm not sure that really tells me what the book is about.
44:09I didn't sense who Q
44:11is. In the podcast,
44:13once Q starts opening up about
44:15her mom, there's something real there.
44:17That was quite late in the game.
44:19You know, she wants to win all the time,
44:21and you can kind of see her striving for it.
44:23So when she doesn't do as well, you can also see the
44:25disappointment, and I worry that she's a little
44:27too hard on herself when she doesn't do
44:29as well. Alright, let's talk about
44:31Sephira. The podcast just
44:33made me say, I love you because
44:35I am you, and I love a person
44:37who operates in forgiveness.
44:39Now, in this competition, she started
44:41out a winner, with Reveal Yourself,
44:43and then her James Brown.
44:45And of course, one of our favorite looks in this whole season,
44:47her DragCon 1980 look.
44:49Such a fantastic queen.
44:51I could see Sephira doing
44:53a book tour for real,
44:55and I would buy that book.
44:57I would buy that book, too. I'm gonna buy anything called
44:59Slewfoot.
45:01I want some barbecued Slewfoot.
45:03I want to call someone Slewfoot.
45:05This look that she
45:07had tonight was
45:09sickening, honey.
45:11I mean, I felt completely in love
45:13with the way she painted. I liked the way
45:15the blue was on her. She fixed the breastplate.
45:17She's listening to everything,
45:19and she's putting it into motion.
45:21Nymphia. Now, Nymphia has
45:23really nailed it every single time
45:25she's come out on this runway. She won
45:27the ball, y'all. She had so many
45:29incredible looks. Her faster pussycat wig
45:31wig, the butto, the dancing
45:33that she did was absolutely glorious.
45:35But the thing that I've
45:37struggled with Nymphia is, she's so
45:39uncomfortable in her own skin.
45:41And then, we got the podcast.
45:43And when she stopped doing that
45:45runaround thing that she does all the time
45:47because that's her defense, that
45:49was the death of old Nymphia and the rebirth.
45:51We watched it happen. I felt like
45:53I was seeing a queen discovering
45:55herself in real time. You know, you're
45:57absolutely right. Tonight, she really
45:59came into her own power. That book
46:01cover rule, Grace Jones, yes.
46:03It was everything.
46:05It was perfection.
46:07I think tonight was a massive breakthrough
46:09for Nymphia. Plain Jane.
46:11Plain Jane had us at Burger Fingers.
46:13She has been such
46:15a powerhouse from the beginning. Major
46:17look, the octomom she chose
46:19for the powerful mother, you know.
46:21Snatch game. Snatch game!
46:23It was amazing to watch. What really
46:25turned it for me was the way she
46:27turned out Lazy Susan. It was so
46:29amazing. But the podcast interview
46:31really suggested to me someone
46:33who doesn't know what her story
46:35is or how to sell it yet. She
46:37had the opportunity to make me
46:39feel a warm sensation
46:41deep in a place like the
46:43rest of the girls did. But she didn't.
46:45She took the time to read her
46:47competitors that have already gone home.
46:49It just wasn't as charming as Plain Jane
46:51actually really is. She comes from
46:53a place of kind of hiding out. She came
46:55out of the closet very late for
46:57her and, you know, I think
46:59she's used to sort of hiding. So
47:01I think we got a bit of that.
47:03But at this point in the competition, you have to
47:05be vulnerable. Now this book cover
47:07is not what I'm used to
47:09seeing of her. The pose was very Cosmo.
47:11It was very Scavullo, that pose. But
47:13the hair was too small to balance out the
47:15outfit that she wore. I was surprised
47:17because she understands proportion
47:19better than almost anybody in this competition.
47:21Alright. Silence.
47:23I've made my decision.
47:25Bring back my girls.
47:27Welcome back, Queens. I've made
47:29some decisions.
47:32Nymphia Wynn,
47:34this week, you practiced
47:36the art of letting go.
47:38And it paid off.
47:40Congratulations.
47:42You are the winner of this week's challenge.
47:44Oh, thank you!
47:50I won. I actually made it happen.
47:52You've won a cash prize
47:54of $5,000, presented
47:56by Got2B Color Remix.
47:58And you'll be moving forward
48:00to the grand finale.
48:02You know, coming to America,
48:04a lot of people believe in me.
48:06So it means a lot to be able to
48:08make it to the top.
48:10I just wanted to make everyone proud.
48:12And hopefully I did that.
48:20Zafira, this week,
48:22you didn't come to slay.
48:24You came to slew.
48:26Ah!
48:28You are safe.
48:30And you'll be moving forward
48:32to the grand finale.
48:36You may slew to the back of the stage.
48:38Will do.
48:40It's been 11 years of me auditioning
48:42for this competition, and getting to the finale
48:44is exactly what I saw happening.
48:46It's exactly...
48:48Ah!
48:50I'm so excited.
48:52Q,
48:54I'm sorry, my dears,
48:56but you are both up for elimination.
49:00For the first time in Drag Race
49:02herstory, Plain Jane
49:04has landed in the bottom two.
49:06Q has become a great friend of mine
49:08throughout this competition, a true sister.
49:10But if this has to be my last
49:12push into the final three,
49:14I am going to tear that fucking stage up
49:16when I lip sync.
49:18Two fabulous queens stand before me.
49:20Ladies,
49:22this is your last chance to impress me
49:24and save yourself
49:26from elimination.
49:30The time has come
49:32for you to lip sync
49:34for
49:36your life!
49:42I'm going to turn this shit out like I deserve
49:44to be in the finale.
49:46Good luck, and don't
49:48fuck it up.
49:53This is a Roddy River.
49:55Entangled
49:57in your web.
49:59Cha!
50:02Oh yes, I'm touched
50:04by this show of emotion.
50:06Should I be frightened
50:08by the lack of devotion?
50:10Should I?
50:12Oh, you better be good to me.
50:14You better be good to me.
50:16You better be good to me.
50:18You better make it up to me.
50:22Come on.
50:23Come on.
50:24Be good to me.
50:27I think it's only so bad.
50:31We don't need to fight.
50:33Instead, we face the facts.
50:38You resent your genes.
50:40Because I know you keep telling me that you love me.
50:45And I really do want to leave.
50:48But did you think I'd just accept you and fly away?
50:52Don't you know, baby, anything to please you?
50:55But you're not gonna do it to me.
51:08All right, girl, you better psyche up here.
51:10Be good to me.
51:14I don't have no use, but you know it's the call of truth.
51:17I don't have no time.
51:19You is really fighting for her life.
51:21I'm just hoping none of them go home.
51:23Be good to me.
51:26I don't have no use, but you know it's the call of truth.
51:30I don't have no time for your overloaded life.
51:34You better make it up to me.
51:36Come on.
51:37Come on.
51:38Be good to me.
51:41Be good to me.
51:45Woo!
51:46Woo!
51:47Woo!
51:53Ladies, I've made my decision.
52:04Plain Jane, Shantay, you stay.
52:08You will be moving forward to the grand finale.
52:11Thank you, Mama.
52:12Thank you so much.
52:13You may join the other girls.
52:18Q, thank you for sharing your beauty, brilliance,
52:25and bravery with the world.
52:27Now, sashay away.
52:30I just want to say thank you.
52:32I've worked really hard to get to this stage,
52:34and it's meant so, so much to me.
52:38And I love you guys so much.
52:42We love you, Q.
52:43We love you.
52:44We love you so much.
52:47Quads!
52:48Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
52:52Getting so close to the top three,
52:53it just feels like I've put everything,
52:55all of myself into this competition,
52:57and it just sucks feeling like it wasn't enough in the end.
53:00But I'm going to move forward like I always do.
53:03I'm not going anywhere.
53:04To you top three bitches, fuck you.
53:08But I love you guys so, so much,
53:10and I know you guys are going to kill it in that finale.
53:17Condragulations, my final three queens.
53:21We are two weeks away from the grand finale
53:24of RuPaul's Drag Race, where we will crown ourselves
53:27a winner, baby!
53:29Now, I want to hear from you, our fans.
53:32Are you team Nymphia?
53:34Are you team Plain Jane?
53:37Or are you team Saphira?
53:39Let your voice be heard using hashtag Drag Race.
53:44And tune in next week when all of the eliminated queens
53:47return to compete in a lip sync Lollapalooza.
53:54Now, remember, if you can't love yourself,
53:56how in the hell are you going to love somebody else?
53:58Can I get an amen up in here?
54:01Amen!
54:02All right, now let the music play.
54:09All right, now let the music play.
