00:00Hello, it's another very warm if not hot day across much of England and Wales and we do
00:05have an Aberyxtreme heat warning in effect covering much of the country. Now the origins
00:11of that hot weather originate well to the south of the country and that hot air is being
00:16drawn northwards across the UK as high pressure slowly moves eastwards into the continent
00:21with temperatures rising progressively over the next couple of days. So back to this afternoon,
00:27so good to have dry and fine weather across much of the country, although we are seeing
00:31a little bit more on the way of cloud across parts of northern Scotland and with that strong
00:36sunshine across much of England and Wales, temperatures rising rapidly during the course
00:41of the afternoon, rising into the low 30s across much of England and Wales, even parts
00:47of Scotland seeing temperatures into the mid-20s and those temperatures still well above average
00:52for the time of year. So after a very warm and hot afternoon, a warm evening is to come
00:58with a lot of clear skies across the country and for midnight we do have a red weather
01:05warning for extreme heat valid for parts of central England. Overnight temperatures failing
01:10to dip much below 20 degrees, so an uncomfortable night to come for many of us, although further
01:16north those temperatures dipping into the high teens. So after a very warm start on
01:22Monday, another fine and dry day right the way across the country, although we are seeing
01:28a little bit of high level and medium level cloud around at times and that just limiting
01:33the temperatures, but we are still talking about another very warm day, if anything those
01:38temperatures rising up into the mid to high 30s across parts of eastern England. Even
01:44across parts of Scotland temperatures starting to reach into the 30s, so a very warm and
01:48hot day for many of us. And those very mild and hot conditions continue into Tuesday,
01:55if anything temperatures climbing a little bit higher, reaching 40 degrees across parts
01:59of London. A change is coming down the line later in the week with fresher conditions
02:04arriving from the west. Thank you for listening and please check our social media channels
02:08for the latest updates. Bye for now.
