00:00What's up guys, today we're going to be talking about the Galaxy Note 20 series and the Galaxy
00:05S20 series, the flagships in 2024 here.
00:09I'm going to be talking about, you know, just everything you need to know about these phones,
00:14commonly asked questions about these phones as well too.
00:17So I do have individual videos on this phone, but like always, we get a lot of new people
00:22on the channel.
00:23So I'm going to go ahead and wrap these questions up.
00:25So one, should you even buy, you know, such an older flagship like the Galaxy Note 20
00:30series and the S20 series?
00:32And the answer is, I think yes, but it depends on the person.
00:36And the reason why I'm saying that is because the one main benefit that these phones have
00:41is that they have SD card support, which is a way bigger feature than even I, you know,
00:47expected.
00:48Samsung obviously knows that as well too, because a lot of people are holding on to
00:52their Galaxy Note 20s and, you know, S20s, S20 FE here as well too has SD card support.
01:00So I would say, yes, you could buy one of these phones if SD card support is important
01:05to you and you want, you know, just something a little bit newer.
01:08You don't want to go as far as the Note 10 or the, you know, Note 9 or anything like
01:14that.
01:15You want something that's still getting security patches, at least for right now.
01:18And we'll talk about that a little bit later.
01:20But yeah, so you want something that's still just a little bit newer in terms of specs
01:24and stuff like that.
01:25Yeah, I think that's definitely a good deal.
01:28But I would say if you don't care about SD card support and you don't take a lot of videos
01:33and you don't download a lot of stuff, I would seriously consider getting an S21 series phone
01:39that those phones are actually going to be getting Android 15.
01:42Some of them, like the S21 FE, that'll get Android 16.
01:47You're going to be getting some of the Galaxy AI features.
01:51So there's a lot of benefits to the S21 series if you're in the used flagship marketplace.
01:57So I would definitely consider that because, you know, the one thing that these phones
02:00have is just the SD card support, right?
02:02All right, so another common question I get is, well, what about the security updates?
02:07Will my application stop working?
02:09And absolutely not, guys.
02:11Your applications will not stop working after this phone is done getting security updates.
02:17And as far as the security updates, like the news on it, a good thing about the Note 20
02:22and the S20 is Samsung actually backtracked on giving this phone quarterly updates.
02:27It's now still on monthly security updates.
02:30And I think it's mostly because Samsung has just a massive user base that's still using
02:36the S20s and the Note 20 phones.
02:39So I think that's pretty interesting if you guys want to read this article from 9to5Google
02:44here.
02:46But yeah, I think, you know, this phone would definitely get security updates a bit longer
02:50if they're backtracking already.
02:53So I think that's definitely, you know, exciting news as far as, you know, the lifespan of
02:58the phone.
02:59But again, your applications won't stop working once this phone is done getting security patches.
03:06So that's like a very common question.
03:08Also as far as the price of these phones, again, the price is very good on these phones
03:13right now.
03:14The S20 Ultra finally got a price drop as well too.
03:17It's around $340 to $50.
03:21And that's a really good deal because it was hovering around like $400.
03:26So it's got a pretty nice price drop as well too.
03:28You can find the S20 FE for, you know, less than $200.
03:31The S20 Ultra less than, you know, $300 as well too.
03:36So very, very good prices.
03:37Basically, a common question is, well, what's the big difference between the S20 Ultra and
03:44the Note20 Ultra?
03:46Basically, the big difference between these two flagships, because you might, you know,
03:51you might kind of be confused a little bit on which phone is better.
03:57So it really depends.
03:58So they both have SD card support.
04:00They both have pretty much the same chipset.
04:02The battery life is better on the S20 Ultra.
04:05The Note20 Ultra, a lot of people like the screen more on here.
04:09It has a more boxy kind of shaping.
04:11It has a kind of, I guess you could say, more modern look.
04:14It looks like the S24 from the front.
04:17But the S20, I would say if you have smaller hands, I would get this phone because it's
04:22way easier to hold.
04:23It's not as boxy.
04:24It's just more comfortable.
04:25You don't have the S Pen on here as well.
04:28And yeah, there's not like a massive, you know, massive difference.
04:32And this is also cheaper as well too.
04:34The cameras are essentially the same.
04:36You do have better zooming or higher zooming.
04:38You have the 100x zoom.
04:41But again, the cameras are essentially the same as far as like stills.
04:43It's not like a big difference.
04:46But again, it's very like minor differences basically, you know, it comes down to those
04:51kind of things.
04:52But there's not like a huge difference between these two phones.
04:54Now another question is, well, which one is better for gaming?
04:59So all of these phones are actually really good for gaming because they all have the
05:03same chipset.
05:04Now the S20 Ultra here, my gaming experience has been better on this phone simply because
05:09not necessarily because of performance, but because the battery life is better on the
05:13S20 Ultra.
05:15So that's definitely something that I would think about if you're just strictly buying
05:18like an old flagship for gaming and you want like one of these phones.
05:23You can play PUBG at 90 frames, but not only that, the battery life on the S20 Ultra is
05:27better than the Note, it's better than the S20 FE.
05:31This has the best battery life out of the, you know, out of the bunch.
05:34So I think that's, you know, really important.
05:36So if you do want to game, definitely get this phone.
05:40I've just been really impressed with it.
05:42I really like the screen.
05:43It's very comfortable to hold as well too.
05:45And yeah, so if you're gaming, just get the S20 Ultra.
05:48Lastly, I want to talk about the actual process of buying.
05:52I typically only buy phones on Amazon and eBay.
05:56Why?
05:57Because eBay and Amazon guarantee like if something goes wrong with the device, the
06:01return process is pretty easy and you can get your money back and, you know, buy another
06:07phone or whatever.
06:08But I typically never have issues with sellers because I always buy from a seller that has
06:15a lot of ratings.
06:16So you don't want to just see like right here.
06:19You don't want to see a seller and he has like, you know, he's probably sold like five
06:23things or just has like five ratings and it's 99.
06:27That's not really telling you much, right?
06:30You can't really go as that far as just looking at the seller ratings.
06:35You got to go and look at the actual reviews of the products from, you know, the last,
06:40I would say look at the reviews from the last six months and then you can go ahead and buy
06:45from that guy because you know he has a high sale rate as far as good quality, selling
06:51good quality products and stuff like that.
06:53So I always do that.
06:54A lot of people, they'll buy from just some random, you know, guy, which is fine.
06:59It works out like sometimes, but to be like on the safe side, you know, I would typically
07:04like to buy from bigger sellers with good ratings.
07:07You go and you, you look at the reviews of the sellers and then I've never had like an
07:13issue with that.
07:14Like you can see this guy, very big seller on here as well, been on here since 2001 and
07:19that's what I like to do.
07:20You could do that.
07:21Apply that same principle to Amazon as well too.
07:24And yeah, so that is pretty much it.
07:26I just want to cover those, you know, a couple of questions and yeah, thanks for watching
07:30this video and I'll catch you guys in the next one.
