00:00What's up guys the next phone we're gonna take a look at is the galaxy note 10 plus this was another highly requested phone

00:08Yeah, so let's go ahead and dive in which is pretty interesting when I did this video a couple months ago
00:13A lot of you guys did not seem to care about that. This phone was not getting security patches
00:18So this phone got its last security, you know patch update
00:22I think it was August security patch. And yeah, so it's not getting any more updates
00:29But there's actually still there's actually nothing wrong with the phone. So I see why a lot of people aren't really
00:34That you know pressed on upgrading
00:38Because you are gonna be losing out on the SD card support, which I think is the number one thing
00:42With people in these older flagships is that they really don't want to give up that expandable storage
00:47But it's not only the expandable storage the phone itself still feels and looks
00:53extremely modern in
00:55Now one of the first things I did when I picked this phone up was I actually went and opened up pub G
01:00Just to see how well this phone will handle gaming still now
01:03It is running the snapdragon 855 chipset on here
01:06like I said has micro SD card support and then you also have
01:11256 gigs of internal storage on the base model and you have 12 gigs of RAM and it's still able to play pub G at
01:18HDR extreme
01:20Yeah still able to play pub G at HDR extreme for its best settings and honestly the phone is still
01:25Pretty good at gaming for the most part
01:28So the phone itself does not seem like it's slowing down by any means
01:33Like I said for you know
01:35The money that you get with these ones is just like we saw with the s10e
01:39That phone you can pick up for $100 do some gaming on here. Like these are really good
01:45You know
01:45Phones that you could do like some pretty cheap gaming on it
01:48Even if you don't use it as a main phone just anybody who's trying to get like some cheap gaming
01:53Going on or you want to use as a secondary phone. I
01:57Think it's still fantastic. Like I said, it's still faster than you know
02:01Some mid-range phones and it's better optimized as well, too
02:04Now again, just for reference you guys can see I have a galaxy a 34 here roughly the same price
02:10And this is why I always say, you know
02:13Just go with an older flagship if you really want a game if that's like a top priority
02:18So you guys can see HDR extreme so you can just play at it's much better settings and it the game just looks better
02:24and just feels a smoother on
02:28the
02:29on the note so
02:31You know, I always like to kind of reference against these mid-range or budget phones
02:35now the phone is running Android 12 when you are 4.1 and
02:40What's interesting about this phone is that
02:43You still pretty much have all the same software features that you would have and let's say an s23 ultra
02:49You know once when you eyes once they introduce like I guess the AI stuff is going to be like probably like the biggest change
02:55than one UI with the s24
02:57But for right now, you're really not missing out on anything when it comes to the software
03:02It's still pretty much got all these same features as an s23
03:06For sure, so I thought that was pretty interesting now
03:09I think the number one thing that's making this phone seem like crazy futuristic is
03:16Definitely the display. It's a 6.8 inch dynamic AMOLED display
03:20HDR 10 plus it's 1440p and it is
03:24498 for the PPI. It's got that, you know slight curve to it as well, too
03:28And yeah
03:30This is honestly what makes the phone feel like it came out this year
03:34Is that it pretty much has the same?
03:37Identical design to like something like an s23 s22 still looks very modern from the front now
03:43This does this doesn't have any type of high refresh rate or anything like that
03:47so you could say it's dated in that type of you know area, but
03:51Honestly, the 60 Hertz is pretty smooth on here as well
03:54So like I said the display on here is just it's still a phenomenal display
03:59It's still really good-looking. And like I said, the only thing that honestly that has aged about the display is really the you know
04:06like a high refresh rate, but like I said, it's pretty smooth for 60 Hertz panel and
04:11Yeah, you could say that it's not as bright as the newer phones when it comes to a direct sunlight and stuff like that
04:17But the phone does get fairly bright so I don't have an issue with it even outdoors. It's not, you know, terrible
04:24But yeah, I was just really surprised when you pick this phone up
04:27It just still has that crazy
04:29Modern feel to it now the aura glow color on here is still pretty cool looking all these years later
04:36And remember this phone came out in 2019
04:38And that's why I said this is probably one of my favorite Samsung devices of all time
04:42just because I think Samsung doesn't you know, pretty much nailed it when it comes to the processor the
04:49The the design of this phone. I still think it has a just a really timeless
04:54Design it's a very thin phone has the cool like little shifting effect to it. And
04:59Yeah, the S Pen on here. It's really nice. It's actually this one's actually blue and
05:05Yeah, I just absolutely love the hardware on this phone. And also the S Pen is really nice
05:10I've you know said a ton of times if you really want to do like digital artwork with these phones you can I've seen people
05:16Do it on YouTube
05:18Because the latency on here is actually really well done so it has really a low latency
05:23So if you're drawing and stuff like that, so most people will use it just to take notes and stuff like that
05:29but you know, I can't really draw but if you are somebody who is
05:35You know an artist or something like that like this thing is crazy
05:39Accurate and also it's pretty good for digital content creation as well, too
05:44These S Pens because this is Bluetooth so you can click the button and
05:49Record from a distance or take pictures from a distance as well, too, which is pretty cool
05:54But yeah, absolutely. Love the hardware on here IP 68 dust and water resistant. It has that
06:01Really nice fingerprint scanner on here as well too. Very fast. You can also use face unlock
06:08The stereo speakers on here are still pretty good

06:31Pretty good speakers on here really good amount of bass and pretty nice mids and highs as well, too
06:38So as far as the cameras you can still get a pretty good shot with the note 10 plus especially if you're outdoors
06:45But like I said with a lot of these older phones from 2019
06:49You kind of start to see the age when you take it out of any type of good lighting
06:54Images just kind of appear soft and stuff like that. They're just not detailed
06:59But besides that I still think this takes pretty good photos and videos. It's got a 12 megapixel standard and a 12 megapixel
07:07Telephoto lens it has two times optical and 16 megapixel
07:10Ultra wide it can shoot in 0.3 depth sensor as well, too
07:13and you have a 4k 60 video on the front and back with a 10 megapixel selfie and
07:19Yeah, I didn't have really too many complaints with the photo quality guys
07:23I thought the selfie still took pretty good photos and
07:27Yeah, like I said, it doesn't have like the crazy zoom
07:32Photography that we do have now and the newer phones, but like I said in good lighting
07:37I mean, this is still taking some pretty good shots in my opinion good dynamic range pretty good color on here
07:43Like I said, the cameras aren't crazy like the crazy detailed and stuff like that
07:48I like the newer phones with the higher megapixels, but like I said, this still does a fantastic job
07:53I think in my opinion as far as just giving you a good shot in good lighting now, of course for an older phone
08:01Battery life is actually not as bad as you would think I'm still able to get like
08:05Almost six hours of screen on time out of minds and you know, I've been using this phone for a couple years
08:11But yeah, if you bought one new this phone easily does like six hours of screen on time pretty easily. It's got a
08:194300 milliamp hour battery and this thing actually charges really quickly
08:23Not really quick quickly, but it charges decently fast with 45 watt charging
08:28And then you also have the wireless and reverse wireless charging on board too
08:32So the phone itself is still a fantastic phone. Like it's actually still a really good phone
08:38I couldn't find any faults with it. The processor is still good. The design is still a beautiful screen
08:44You get SD card support you get a crazy good amount of base storage as well to battery life
08:50It's still decent for such an older phone
08:53Yeah, it's just a fantastic device. It's kind of a shame that it's not getting
08:57The you know security patch updates
09:01So the good thing is that Samsung is making these older flagships or flagships last longer
09:07As far as it goes with like the s21s and the newer phones like the s22 s23
09:13Those have a much longer lifespan now
09:16But it kind of sucks because this phone definitely could run the latest version of Android fairly easily
