00:00What's up guys, today we're going to be taking a look at the Galaxy S21 FE in 2023.
00:06So let's go ahead and dive in.
00:08One of the first things about this phone is the price.
00:12That is the main reason I would consider this phone.
00:14You guys know I love older flagships.
00:17So you can find this phone around $200 on Amazon, eBay.
00:21eBay has deals for a little bit cheaper, but roughly around $200 to $250.
00:26And I actually like the design on this phone.
00:29So this phone, it does have a plastic back, which is pretty much standard.
00:36If you look at the Galaxy S20 FE, that one had a plastic back.
00:39This one has a plastic back.
00:41And most likely the S23 FE will have a plastic back.
00:46What's cool about the plastic backs are that when you're in the used phone market, you
00:50see a lot of phones with cracked backs.
00:51So people tend to crack the back of their phones a lot, and it's hard to do that with
00:56these plastic phones.
00:57So that's one thing that I like.
00:59And also, it is plastic, but it still feels premium because you have metal sides as well.
01:04So it does not feel cheap, and it does not look cheap, and a lot of people like this
01:08camera bump as well on here too.
01:11And not only does it look good, it does have IP68 dust and water resistant as well too,
01:18which is nice.
01:19So you can get this phone wet, no issue.
01:22And also, holding the phone, it's very smooth on the edges, so it fits in the palm really
01:29well.
01:30So I think the design on here is really, really nice, guys.
01:35Next would be the display.
01:36So this phone has a fantastic display.
01:39It's a dynamic AMOLED display.
01:41It's 120Hz HDR10+, at 6.4 inches.
01:44It has pretty slim bezels on here as well too, and it's got 403 for the PPI, so it's
01:50an absolute beast when it comes to the display.
01:54You got the punch hole in the middle, and it's fairly bright outdoors as well too.
01:58So this is a really, really nice looking display in my opinion.
02:02So the phone, like I said, 6.4 inches, so it's not too big.
02:07I can use the phone without a problem with one hand, and that's mostly because, like
02:12I said, it is a little bit easier to hold than the more boxier phones.
02:17But yeah, I absolutely love the display.
02:18I don't think anybody would have any issues with the display.
02:21120Hz on here, very smooth.
02:23And like I said, it looks like a better quality panel than the Galaxy A54 for sure, and the
02:29bezels are slimmer as well.
02:31So I would definitely go with this phone for a viewing experience.
02:35I think it just looks awesome.
02:37It looks basically like a flagship phone.

02:41So like I said, guys, it makes so much more sense to buy this over A54 or a lot of mid-range
02:47phones.
02:48You're saving a ton of money, and you're honestly just getting a better phone for this price.
02:53Now the Galaxy S21 FE is running Android 13, One UI 5.1, and the Snapdragon 888 processor

03:02This phone is an absolute beast when it comes to performance, guys.
03:07It basically is a flagship phone, and it does not...
03:12It's just super fast, guys.
03:14There's no lag.
03:15It's a really fast phone.
03:16Now, you guys know how I feel about these 888 chips.
03:20The A-series chips in general, the 888 and also the 8Gen1, those phones tend to heat
03:25up.
03:26For some reason, this phone does not seem to get as hot, even as...
03:31It seems like it's cooler than the standard S21, one thing that I noticed.
03:35So this one does not get as hot, but even playing Call of Duty right now, it's a little
03:40warm, but it feels like when I use the S21, that phone is much hotter, and also the S22.
03:47This one does not seem to get as hot, so I thought that was pretty interesting.
03:52But as far as performance goes, this thing just flies pretty much through anything.
03:56It feels just as fast as the S23 Ultra, honestly.
04:00It's just bouncing in and out of applications, whether I'm playing games, PUBG, Call of Duty.
04:05I might drop a full gaming test for you guys.
04:08It seems even a little bit cooler than the S21 Ultra as well.
04:13So yeah, this phone does not seem to have that bad of a heating issue.
04:16I know that's probably a concern for a lot of people, but man, I just don't see this
04:21thing just not getting hot like the other phones do.
04:24Yeah, so performance-wise, we're getting really, really good performance.
04:28Now the S21 FE does have stereo speakers.
04:43They actually sound pretty crisp.
04:58The top speaker actually does a pretty good job at giving a good amount of bass, and it's
05:04pretty loud, so that's pretty impressive.
05:07Also, the phone, like I said, guys, really super fast, really speedy, 128 gigs of internal
05:12storage and 6 gigs of RAM on the base model.
05:16And as far as the features go, you pretty much have everything on here for the most
05:21part.
05:22Samsung desktop support is on here as far as your NFC, and then you also have on here
05:29reverse wireless charging, secure folders.
05:33The wireless power share is even here as well, too.
05:35So it pretty much has everything that you would want in a flagship phone, for sure.
05:41So there's pretty much nothing missing besides the S Pen support.
05:46You also have an under-the-display fingerprint sensor on here, which works very fast.
05:51So that's why I said, guys, you're not really missing out on anything, and you're getting
05:54a flagship phone for very, very cheap compared to what's on the market as far as mid-range
06:01phones.
06:02All right, so let's talk about the cameras.
06:03So you do have a 12-megapixel standard, an 8-megapixel telephoto that does 3x optical
06:09zoom, and then you have a 30x hybrid zoom on here, or digital zoom.
06:13And then you also have on here a 12-megapixel ultra-wide.
06:17It shoots in 4K60 on the front and back, and you have a 32-megapixel selfie cam as well.
06:24The photos are basically what you would expect.
06:27You're still getting flagship-quality photos.
06:29It was really hard to tell the difference between this and, like, the S23.
06:34You can notice very slight differences, but it was, like I said, it was very slight.
06:38So you're still getting a world-class flagship camera with this phone as well, too.
06:42I think a lot of you guys would be surprised.
06:44It seems like a lot of people are surprised.
06:46They think the camera jump quality from, like, an S21 Ultra and an S23 Ultra is going to
06:52be massive.
06:53When it comes to just, like, outdoors taking stills, you're still getting excellent detail.
06:59You're still getting really good color signs.
07:01You're still getting really good video, especially if we're in good lighting.
07:04It's really hard to tell the difference.
07:06I think it surprises a lot of people.
07:08I think the only thing about this phone is that it's a 12-megapixel standard, so compare
07:13it to, like, the 50-megapixel phones, the 108-megapixel phones, you know, you can, with
07:19those higher resolutions, you can crop into photos, but again, I don't know how many people
07:23crop into actual photos, but just trust me, the photo quality and video quality is pretty
07:29good.
07:30I think for the average person will be very pleased with the cameras.
07:33Now, the battery life is the one thing that I think was pretty impressive to me, simply
07:38because it has a pretty big battery at 4,500 milliamps, and it has 25-watt wire charging.
07:45You have reverse wireless charging on here as well, too, but the battery life seemed
07:49to be much better than my S22, so that's one thing that I noticed, just much better battery
07:57life than that phone.
07:58I think the battery life, the battery might be bigger on this phone, actually, but yeah,
08:03so it's a pretty interesting phone because it seems to get pretty good battery life.
08:07This phone will definitely last all day, and also, this phone doesn't get as hot, so that's
08:12what I said, it's a pretty interesting experience here with this phone as far as the overall
08:18experience, so I think it has some major benefits, just simply not getting hot and having pretty
08:25good battery life.
08:27Yes, it doesn't have the super high-resolution cameras and zoom quality, but I think this
08:33is a fantastic phone, guys.
08:34I was really impressed with the S21 FE, and like I said, you can get it for very, very
