00:00Alright guys, today we've got a super random comparison, the Galaxy Note 9 versus the iPhone
00:0814 Pro.
00:10We got what some people will argue is one of Samsung's best flagships that they've ever
00:15put out, the Note 9, definitely a classic phone.
00:19Even though I will argue I kind of like the S10 Plus a bit more, so I always go back and
00:25forth with people about that.
00:27You guys will be surprised with the Note 9 and how snappy it still is, so let's go ahead
00:32and dive into, get a little speed test going.
00:34I'll show you guys the side-by-side stills as well too, and it will actually surprise
00:39you.
00:40So we're running Android 9, iOS 16, we have the Snapdragon 845 chip on here as well, and
00:46then we have the new A16 chip, and guys, you guys will see, look how fast the Note 9 still
00:51is.
00:52Let's do some light stuff right now, okay, we'll go ahead and do YouTube, and yeah, Note
01:039, boom, look how fast this phone still is, guys.

01:15I have a lot of Note 9 videos as well too, but Note 9's still super fluid, still really
01:20fast when it comes to scrolling.

01:28I mean, it's literally on point with the iPhone, it's absolutely crazy.

01:41A lot of people get surprised, that's why I tell people, keep your older flagship phones
01:45or look into older flagship phones, because they literally can compete.
01:48All right, let's go ahead and get out of that, let's go ahead and try a game, Subway Surf.
01:53We should notice a difference here for sure.
01:56iPhone, actually not too much of a difference there, surprisingly.
02:05Note 9 still runs very smoothly.
02:08All right, and you guys can see the display differences.
02:14With these older phones, kind of back in the day here, you can see they didn't really have
02:19a notch, or really with Samsung, Samsung really didn't want to go the notch path.
02:24They waited until they had the punch hole, but this is still a really good display.
02:27It's 1440p, no notch, yeah you got a little bit of bezel on here, but it's actually a
02:32really bright, vibrant, colorful display here.
02:36It's still a very high quality panel here.
02:39All right, so let's go ahead and try Amazon.
02:46Very fast, both these guys.
02:50So you guys can see the Note 9 is hanging in here with the iPhone, literally blow for
02:55a blow here, even a bit snappier in some case scenarios, right?
03:01Just super smooth, right?
03:04All right, let's go ahead and try PUBG.
03:07Now, this should be very noticeable difference here, the iPhone almost gets into these heavy
03:13games, it feels like almost instant.
03:18It is really fast getting into these big games.
03:22You can see, boom, we're already in.
03:24This is ridiculously fast.
03:26All right, and then it looks like we are in on the Note 9 here.
03:35Now, the Note 9, people ask me about the gaming experience on this phone.
03:39Basically, if you're going to get an older flagship, I would really shoot for a Snapdragon
03:44855 chipset and up.
03:47865 is also great, too.
03:49But those phones, you can play at better settings.
03:53The 855, you can play at the same settings as the iPhones, I can, or this iPhone, HDR
04:01Extreme.
04:02The Note, actually, I wonder what the settings are these days.
04:14But yeah, I'm going to go ahead and try it out.
04:17But yeah, with the iPhone, HDR Extreme, this one does Smooth Extreme, yeah, it does HDR
04:24Ultra, so it doesn't do HDR Extreme, but it can do Smooth Extreme, it plays that really
04:30well, as well, too.
04:31It's able to do that at 60 frames, but if you want a really good gaming experience,
04:37I would go for 855 chip and above, because you will be able to play at the exact same
04:41settings as on an iPhone.
04:44Alright, so let's go ahead and check out how well have the cameras aged on here.
04:48I'll show you guys these side-by-side stills, but let's just go over the specs real quick.
04:52So, on the Note 9, it does have a 12 megapixel standard, and then a 12 megapixel telephoto,
04:58it has 2x optical zoom, and then you have 4K 60 video, and then you have an 8 megapixel
05:03selfie cam on here with a 2 megapixel iris scanner, as well.
05:07Samsung used to do that, and that shoots in 1440p, and then you have a 12 megapixel camera
05:13in 1440p.
05:14With the iPhone, you have their new 48 megapixel standard sensor on here, a 12 megapixel telephoto
05:22lens that does 3x optical zoom on here, and then you have a 12 megapixel ultrawide.
05:28There's a macro mode, it shoots in 4K 60 on the front and back, and that has a 12 megapixel
05:32selfie cam.

06:59Very good bass quality on the Note, very good bass quality on the iPhone.
07:28Yeah, iPhone definitely is slightly louder in terms of bass.
07:39Yeah, but it's just the bass.
07:40The Note 9 is just as loud as the 14 Pro actually.
07:43It just doesn't have as strong as a bass.
07:45You can probably tweak it to kind of get it to sound somewhat similar, but it's still
07:51pretty strong.
07:52Also, one of the cool things with these older phones is that this phone actually still has
07:57a headphone jack as well too, which is really awesome, and also you have SD card support
08:02with these older flagships, which you rarely will find in newer phones.
08:06So that is pretty much it guys.
