00:00What's up guys, today we're going to be comparing the Galaxy S21 FE to the Galaxy A34 and
00:07What's pretty cool is that these phones they're both pretty good phones, but they do have some big differences
00:13you can get the A34 brand new right now on Amazon for like $250 and
00:18The S21 FE you could pretty much find for like $227, but it'll be you know used refurbished
00:25But this one is used refurbished, and it's in excellent condition, so I wouldn't worry about that
00:31But yeah, so you can't get this brand new
00:34So let's talk about the hardware because I think it's kind of the first thing that stood out to me
00:39The S21 FE is a plastic bag. It's got a matte finish
00:43Which it doesn't pick pick up fingerprints and stuff like that, but it has metal sides on it
00:49So it's got the metal sides, and it just feels a little bit more premium
00:55than the A34. The A34 is just all plastic and
00:59You can definitely tell it kind of feels like one of those dummy phones you pick up at like Walmart or something or
01:05That's you know just test out
01:07It's really light and just has a you know a plasticky feel
01:11But the A34 I think looks really really good
01:14I really like this design that they went with and it's pretty consistent with the you know
01:19S23 phone as far as the camera setup and stuff like that you see they got rid of the
01:25camera cutout
01:27Design here, but overall I do like the S21 FE's design a little bit more
01:32It feels a little bit more premium
01:33And you don't get the you know sort of like the smudges and stuff that you see
01:37Right here on this phone as well too, and you also have a difference here
01:41as well with the IP certification the S21 is IP68 and
01:47The A34 is IP67 dust and water resistant. Now there's also a big hardware difference
01:53That could you know be a make-or-break the A34 does have SD card support
01:57But the S21 FE does not so no expandable storage on the S21 FE
02:02All right, so let's talk about the displays on both of these phones the A34 has a 6.6 inch display
02:08It's super AMOLED 120 Hertz. It's a 1000 nits peak brightness
02:121080p 390 for the PPI the S21 FE has a 6.4 inch display
02:18So you can see it's a slightly smaller display
02:20It's the dynamic AMOLED display 120 Hertz HDR 10 plus 1080p
02:26403 for the PPI the screens just looking at them. They pretty much look alike, but
02:32there is a difference when it comes to the overall bezels on here and
02:36you also have just a punch hole on the S21 FE as opposed to sort of the outdated notch on the
02:43A34 and then like I said, you just have these slimmer bezels as you guys can see
02:48Yeah, so the S21 FE screen design as far as like how it looks
02:54It definitely looks better. But as far as like
02:57You know the screen quality they pretty much look the same
03:02But I would say that you know
03:05The S21 if I had to choose a screen to watch content on I'm picking the one with the slimmer bezels and the punch hole
03:10Right, it just gives it a little bit more immersive experience
03:13But as far as like 120 Hertz and colors and all that, you know
03:17It's here. They both pretty much look identical. Alright, so let's talk about these specs a little bit more here
03:22So you have the Snapdragon triple-a processor on the S21 FE and you also have 128 gigs of internal storage 6 gigs of RAM
03:30you have the Dimensity 1080 chip on the
03:34A34 and it also has 128 gigs and 6 gigs of RAM as far as speed goes
03:40You can see that the score is faster on the S21 FE of course since it's running a flagship
03:45You know processor pretty much. Um, but as far as like the overall feeling of both these phones
03:51animation wise
03:53Yeah, they feel pretty much the same
03:56Even when we come to like launching applications, um, I'm sure the S21 FE will be a little bit faster
04:03Yeah, as you can see, it's just like, you know, there's a hair faster
04:08Maybe when it comes to speed but as you guys can see it's nothing too major, which is pretty impressive
04:14I think the chipset on the A34 is actually kind of impressive considering that it's a you know, a budget phone chip
04:22But where you will see sort of like that difference is with probably gaming performance
04:30But as far as like running the actual phone
04:33It pretty much feels on par as far as notifications and stuff and smoothness
04:37Alright, so here's the kind of the difference with gaming performance
04:40So if you're a serious gamer, you're kind of by default going with the S21 FE
04:44you have HDR extreme on the S21 FE and it's very very smooth and
04:51Definitely across most games fortnight quality mobile, you know the latest powerful games
04:58Whatever's in the Play Store. It'll do a really good job with it. You'll be able to play at really good settings
05:03now the gaming performance on the
05:07A34 is really not that bad at all, but you're not gonna get the same settings as you can see HDR ultra
05:13so you're not gonna get that, you know 60 frames at that, you know HDR and
05:18Yeah, so that's just something to take note of if you're a serious gamer if you're a casual gamer
05:23This phone is absolutely fine
05:25It runs fine when it comes to stuff like even pub G here
05:28It's just not gonna play at the best settings, but subway surfer just casually gaming
05:32It does a pretty good job actually both these phones have stereo speakers. Let's go ahead and max amount check out the A34

06:22Do I have Dolby Atmos on this one? No, I don't I don't have it or on either of them
06:29Yeah, the a34 definitely just has way more bass. It just sounds fuller. It just sounds better

06:38Yes, we went at feet it sounds that's 21 FE is fine, but this definitely has a stronger speaker
06:46Yeah, it kind of makes the s21 FE sound a little flat

06:52The both these phones also have an in display fingerprint sensor as well
06:55And that works fine. You can also use face unlock with both of these as well, too
07:00So no issues there
07:01But also what you'll notice software wise is that since this is pretty much a flagship phone the s21 FE
07:07You do have Samsung desktop support and obviously you're not gonna have that on a budget phone
07:13So, you know, I like Samsung desktop support. You may or may not care
07:16I have a video like going over it, but that's something that you know
07:20You're not gonna have and yeah, you pretty much have everything else except for that
07:25I'm gonna let you guys check out these side-by-side stills. I thought like this was probably the biggest difference
07:31With these two phones is the image quality. I think that's what really separates these two phones
07:36So the a34 has a 48 megapixel standard 8 megapixel ultra-wide 5 megapixel macro
07:42No dedicated telephoto lens it shoots in 4k 30 13 megapixel selfie cam that also shoots in 4k 30 the s21 FE
07:51It does have a 12 megapixel standard a 8 megapixel telephoto
07:56That's three times optical and then a 12 megapixel ultra-wide issues in 4k 60 and then a 32 megapixel

09:46All right, so there is a difference with the you know overall battery situation here the s21 FE
09:52It does have a 5,000 milliamp hour or not a 5,000
09:56But it has a 4,500 milliamp hour battery and then it has 25 watt wire charging
10:02Wireless and reverse wireless charging as well. So with the a34 this one has a 5,000 milliamp hour battery
10:09So it does have a bigger battery and then it also has 25 watt wire charging
10:13But there's no wireless and no reverse wireless charging on the a34
10:18You do get slightly better battery life on the a34 from what I'm seeing
10:22So that is something that I like but not not being able to have wireless charging. It's kind of a bummer
10:29But it really depends if you're you know, if you use wireless charging or not
10:33But yeah battery life is just slightly a little bit better
10:36But these both these phones actually do a really good job of battery life. All right

10:48a34 and also, you know, we can talk about software updates as well, too
10:53As well, you know the s21 FE even though it's a older phone. It will get
