00:00What's up guys, today we're going to be talking about the 5 best iPhones on a budget.
00:04So let's go ahead and get started here.
00:06We're going to start off with the iPhone 11.
00:08I think this is one of the best deals if you're looking for a cheap iPhone.
00:13This phone is roughly around $300.
00:16I can see this phone coming down in price a little bit, but I think it'll probably stay
00:21around maybe $270.
00:23If it does go down, I think it'll stay around that price, $270, $300.
00:28This is a fantastic phone.
00:29I think this phone has aged extremely well.
00:32Design wise, I think it still looks good.
00:34I actually prefer the design of the iPhone 11 compared to the newer ones because this
00:39one actually fits in the hand better to me.
00:42It's not as boxy, so it doesn't cut into the hand, which is something that I really like.
00:46It has a great weight to it, still feels good in the hand, IP68 dust and water resistant,
00:51and I think it still looks pretty good as well.
00:53Honestly, if you switch the cameras around, you know, it looks like, you know, the newer
00:57iPhone 14, honestly, just with a curve to it.
01:01So I think it still looks really good.
01:03This one has a 6.1 inch IPS panel, it's 625 for the PPI.
01:07It is a 720p display, 326 for the PPI.
01:11Overall the display is fine.
01:13Like I said, it is 720p, so it's not the highest resolution, but it still looks sharp, and
01:17it's still overall a decent IPS panel.
01:20I think most people will find it fine for watching content.
01:24This phone does run iOS 16.2, and I think this phone will get updates for, you know,
01:29a few more years to come, because even the iPhone 8 is running iOS 16, so I think this
01:34phone has definitely a few more years of software updates.
01:37And then you also have the Apple A13 chip.
01:40I think this is the most impressive thing about this phone, is that it's still pretty
01:44smooth.
01:45I compared it to the iPhone 14 Pro, and if you check out that comparison, it's still
01:48very fast when launching applications, and just remaining overall smooth.
01:52It has 64 gigs of internal storage and 4 gigs of RAM on here, so even gaming performance
01:58on here still does a pretty good job, so if you want to game for the cheap, this is still
02:02a really good chip.
02:03You also have on here pretty good stereo speakers, really good bass quality, good mids and highs.
02:09Face ID works perfectly fine on here as well too.
02:12The cameras are actually pretty good on here.
02:15Like I said, check out that 14 Pro comparison.
02:17It's got a 12 megapixel standard and a 12 megapixel ultra-wide.
02:21The only thing that this phone is kind of missing is there's no telephoto lens, but
02:25honestly, you can get the 11 Pro as well too, guys, if you really want that.
02:29But you have 4K60, and then you also have a 12 megapixel selfie that shoots in 4K60.
02:34I think the images still come out pretty good, pretty good dynamic range, very good colors
02:39on here.
02:40Video is still excellent, especially for this price point.
02:43I think this phone takes really good photos.
02:45I don't really see any issues with the image quality with these shots on here.
02:50Now, battery life is actually still pretty decent on this phone.
02:52It's a 3,110 milliamp battery, has wireless charging as well too.
02:58Basically, even though you get these used iPhones or refurbished iPhones, they typically
03:03have battery health above 80, and mine is like 87, and I'm able to get six hours of
03:08screen on time with this phone, so I think the battery life is pretty decent, especially
03:12for the size of this phone.
03:13All right, next, guys, we have the iPhone XS.
03:15Now, you can find this even cheaper.
03:17This phone, roughly around $250, you could probably find it a little bit cheaper as well
03:22too, but this is an awesome phone, guys.
03:25This phone, I think, has a really nice design, pretty much the same as the iPhone 11 when
03:29it comes to the body shape, fits really well in the hand.
03:32It's got a stainless steel frame, actually, on here.
03:34It's IP68, dust and water resistant, and like I said, looks really good.
03:40This is one of my favorite designs.
03:41It just has a very classy look, especially the silver color.
03:46This one has a 5.8 inch display.
03:48It's Super Retina OLED display, so unlike the iPhone 11, this one actually has a better
03:53display.
03:54It's OLED, and it's a higher resolution display because it's a 1080p display, and it's 458
03:59for the PPI as well too, so it's overall just way better with color and just looks overall
04:05better just in general, so I do love the iPhone XS display, especially for this price point.
04:12This phone is also running iOS 16.3, and this one has the Apple A12 chip on it, and
04:18the A12 chip is still pretty fast, guys.
04:21Check out my iPhone XS videos, the gaming tests and stuff like that.
04:25It still runs PUBG really well.
04:27It still flies through applications really well.
04:29It's still overall fast, and I can see this phone, again, getting updates for years to
04:34come as well too, so this is a very fast phone, and like I said, it's extremely comfortable
04:39to hold because it is a little bit smaller than the iPhone 11 at 5.8 inches, so overall
04:44I just really like this phone.
04:45Really the screen, to me, is the selling point.
04:47Again, stereo speakers on here sound great, great bass quality.
04:51Face ID works fine on here.
04:54The camera's on here, so what's interesting is it has a 12 megapixel standard and then
04:58a 12 megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, so unlike the iPhone 11 that has an
05:03ultra wide, this actually has a dedicated telephoto lens, so you get some pretty good
05:07zoom shots on here, so that's pretty sweet.
05:10So you do get 4K 60 video, and then you have a 7 megapixel selfie, but only 1080p 60 video.
05:17Image quality on here, like I said, is pretty good on here.
05:21Like I said, if you really care about photos, I would go for the iPhone 11.
05:24I think it takes slightly better photos, but this will get you a really good shot if you're
05:29in good light and stuff, so I don't have any issues, especially at this price point, and
05:33like I said, video is really solid on this phone as well, too.
05:37Now this phone has a 2658 milliamp battery, also has wireless charging, and again, you
05:43can get pretty good battery life out of this.
05:45I get close to six hours of screen on time with my XS, and all of my XSs are refurbished,
05:50guys.

05:55Yeah, so definitely check out the XS.
05:57I think it's still a really good phone.
05:58Like I said, it's super cheap.
06:00You can find these $250, $200, really easy.
06:03Alright, guys, next is the iPhone XR.
06:05So it's sort of at a strange price as well, too.
06:07So it's around $200, the same as the XS.
06:10I would say get the XS, but this phone does have a slightly bigger display than the XS,
06:16so you might want that instead of the 5.8-inch display.
06:19It just comes down to that, but that's pretty much the trade-off here because this one has
06:25an aluminum frame.
06:26It's IP67.
06:27Like I said, it feels really good in the hand.
06:30It looks kind of like the iPhone 11, just with that single camera.
06:34This one has, again, the 6.1-inch display.
06:36It's IPS display.
06:37It's 720p, 326 for the PPI.
06:41Like I said, the display is fine.
06:42It's basically like the iPhone 11's display.
06:46So you do have on here iOS 16 with the Apple A12 chip.
06:50That's the same chip in the XS, so it pretty much runs just as good as the iPhone XS.
06:56It's very fast, very speedy.
06:58Playing games on it is just as fine as well, too, so I have no issues with performance
07:04on this phone for my testing.
07:06You do have 64 gigs of internal storage and 3 gigs of RAM.
07:09This has stereo speakers on here, basically the same speakers, really good bass, good
07:14mids and highs, NFC, Face ID is on here.
07:17Now, the drawback to this phone is that it's got a 12-megapixel standard.
07:22It shoots in 4K 60 and then a 7-megapixel selfie cam that shoots in 1080p 60.
07:27The drawback is that there's only one camera, right?
07:30There's no ultra-wide, there's no telephoto, so that's sort of the trade-off here.
07:35But the single camera on here does take pretty good shots, so I could not complain about
07:39the shots you guys can see from here.
07:41Good dynamic range, good color.
07:44Overall, for a budget phone, you know, at this price point, I think it's perfectly fine
07:48for just, you know, take your phone out, do a point and click, and get a good shot.
07:52I think it'll do the job for most people.
07:54This phone, I think, has slightly better battery life than the XS as well, too.
07:59So it's got a 2,942 milliamp battery with wireless charging, and I like the battery
08:04life on here.
08:05I'm able to get six hours, surprisingly, with this phone, and again, it'll vary based on
08:10battery health, but I'm a light user, so I'm able to get pretty good battery life on this
08:14phone.
08:15All right, guys, next is the iPhone 12.
08:17So this phone is the most expensive on the list, a little bit pricey, around 400 bucks,
08:23but if you get a locked version of this phone, it comes down dramatically to like 350, that
08:29area.
08:30So if you do get it locked to like Metro or Verizon or something like that, it will, you
08:34know, bring the price down a little bit, but I would say just pay the 400 so you have the
08:38freedom of having an unlocked phone.
08:40You also have aluminum frame on here, IP68 dust and water resistant.
08:44Now this has a more modern iPhone look with a boxy shape, and it looks a little bit more
08:49modern as you guys can see here.
08:51It's got a beautiful display, it's got the XDR OLED display, HDR10, it gets really bright
08:56at 1200 nits peak brightness.
08:58It's also a 6.1 inch display, it's 1080p plus, 460 for the PPI.
09:03So again, beautiful display, very nice slim bezels on here, like I said, the more modern
09:08design as well too.
09:10This phone running iOS 16, the Apple A14 chip is blazing fast still, crazy fast, it still
09:17plays games, top notch, it's still going to give you, in my opinion, flagship performance.
09:23So it's got 64 gigs of internal storage and 4 gigs of RAM on here, again, very good stereo
09:28speakers on here, Face ID, all that good stuff is on here.
09:32The cameras are a big step up as well too, so you'll notice slightly, you know, if you're
09:37into cameras, you'll notice a step up from like the 11 and the 10S for sure.
09:42It's got a 12 megapixel standard and a 12 megapixel ultra wide, it shoots in 4K60, and
09:47a 12 megapixel selfie that also shoots in 4K60.
09:51So image quality, like I said, is really good, if you want a cheaper iPhone that's going
09:54to take some really good photos, and you want to spend that extra money, yeah, I would say
09:59get the iPhone 12, it's going to take pretty good shots.
10:02And battery life is also pretty good on here, 2,815 milliamp battery, it's got wireless
10:08charging and the MagSafe charging as well too, so you can buy those MagSafe accessories
10:13as well.
10:14So you can get pretty good battery life out of the 12, so I think it's overall a very
10:18good, you know, phone to consider.
10:20Now last is the iPhone 8 Plus, this is a pretty interesting phone for people who want the
10:26big iPhone with the home button that's running the latest software basically, so that's a
10:31selling point.
10:32This phone is really cheap, you can find it for around the $200 price point as well.
10:37And like I said, I think it's the last big iPhone with the home button running iOS 16,
10:43so that's, again, the selling point.
10:44Aluminum frame, IP67, it has, again, an older design, but I still like the design on here,
10:50it's still very comfortable to hold, and it's got the 5.5 inch retina IPS display, it's
10:561080p 401 for the PPI, and again, the display on here is fine, you know, nothing special,
11:02it's just, you know, it's a good IPS display.
11:05Like I said, running iOS 16, Apple A11 chip, it does decent with performance, you'd be
11:10surprised I was using it, and it does not lag and stuff like that.
11:14Now, it's not the best phone on this list for gaming, if you're into gaming, I wouldn't
11:18buy it for gaming, it's good for casual gaming, but definitely not as good for gaming anymore.
11:24And then you also have a 64GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM, you also have stereo
11:29speakers which sound good, and the main selling point, the fingerprint scanner, physical fingerprint
11:36scanner, and just having the home button, I know a lot of people just really prefer
11:39having the home button instead of doing the gestures, and the cameras on here surprisingly
11:43are pretty good, I think the cameras are actually, I was like, kind of shocked at how good the
11:47cameras were, it's a 12MP standard, and a 12MP telephoto, it does 2x optical, shoots
11:53in 4K 60 with a 7MP selfie, that shoots in 1080p 30, and like I said, image quality is
11:59pretty good, again, for an old phone like this, man, I was pretty impressed with the
12:03stills that the thing was pumping out, check out my 8 Plus versus 14 Pro, I think you'll
12:08even be more surprised there.
12:12But battery life, again, 2691mAh battery, wireless charging on here, again, this phone
12:19gets pretty decent battery life as well.
12:22So overall, the 8 Plus, really decent phone, so guys, check these phones out, links down
