00:00Doing a price update for the best $300 old flagships to buy.
00:05I think I got one mid-ranger in here as well too.
00:08But yeah, so I did the best 200 to $250 one,

00:14So the price drops on these aren't super dramatic
00:17and I wanna start off with the Note20 Ultra.
00:21I don't think we're gonna see a price drop on this phone
00:23anymore in the used refurbished marketplaces.
00:25It looks like it's just staying still
00:27at this $370, $380 price point.
00:32And I think it's because it's the last Note
00:34that's getting security patches with SD card support.
00:38And it is still a fantastic phone.
00:41If you checked out my videos, I have on it.
00:43The design on the Note still looks great.
00:45It still has that boxy design,
00:47stainless steel frame, glass back.
00:49It's IP68 dust and water resistant.
00:51And of course you have the built-in S-Pen on here as well too
00:54that you can take advantage of.
00:56And like I said, one of the main things with this phone
00:58is you do have SD card support on this device.
01:02This is a very big phone.
01:03It comes in at 6.9 inches.
01:05It's a dynamic AMOLED display, 120 Hertz, HDR10+.
01:10It's 1440p, 496 for the PPI.
01:13Overall, a beautiful display.
01:14But again, remember if you're gonna get this phone,
01:16you can only use the 120 Hertz at 1080p.
01:20This phone got its last major OS update
01:23with Android 13, One UI 5.
01:25So this phone is currently getting security patches
01:28right now, so it'll still be up to date
01:31as far as security-wise.
01:32And then it's running the Snapdragon 865 chip on here.
01:35And honestly, this chip is still blazing fast.
01:39There's really nothing this phone can't do.
01:41It can play PUBG at 90 frames.
01:43It pretty much blows through anything you put on it
01:46as far as game-wise, application-wise.
01:48It's still a very, very fast phone.
01:50And like I said, it beats a lot of mid-rangers
01:53when it comes to the price-to-spec ratio as well, too.
01:57Again, SD card support, 128 gigs of internal storage,
02:00and 12 gigs of RAM is on board.
02:02You have pretty good-sounding stereo speakers,
02:04a good amount of bass here.
02:06And then you also have on here
02:08the under-the-display fingerprint sensor.
02:10It's ultrasonic, it's very fast.
02:12And the cameras, I think, are still doing pretty well.
02:15If you saw my S23 Ultra comparison to this phone,
02:19it still takes pretty good shots.
02:21It has a 108-megapixel standard,
02:22a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto,
02:24does five times optical zoom,
02:26then you have the 50 times hybrid zoom.
02:28You have a 12-megapixel ultra-wide with 8K24 video
02:31with a 10-megapixel selfie that also shoots in 4K60.
02:35Overall, like I said, compared to the newest phone,
02:37yeah, it doesn't do as good in low light,
02:39but if we're outdoors and stuff like that,
02:42it still takes fantastic shots.
02:43You get really good shots,
02:45and you get a good amount of zoom out of this phone,
02:47which you can get really good shots
02:49with the five times, even the 10 times shots on here.
02:52It still look pretty good.
02:54Also, the battery life on here is just okay.
02:57Like I said, I got mine refurbished,
03:00and I can squeeze about six hours of screen-on time
03:02out of it as a light user.
03:04It has a 4,500 milliamp hour battery,
03:0625-watt wired charging,
03:08wireless and reverse wireless charging is on board.
03:10So overall, it's just a solid phone
03:12for anybody who wants a flagship phone, powerful,
03:15and you don't wanna spend a ton of money.
03:17Next on the list is the Pixel 6 Pro.
03:19This is another great phone coming in at around 370, 380,
03:24and it's a very good phone.
03:26I only see this phone actually coming down in price
03:29as the year goes on,
03:30but what you'll find pretty interesting,
03:32if you watch my Pixel 6 Pro versus Pixel 8 Pro,
03:35you will find that a lot of people in the comments
03:38were like, hey, man, I'm just gonna stick
03:39with my Pixel 6 Pro because it's still a really good phone,
03:42even compared to the newest phone out right now.
03:44So this phone still has pretty much
03:46the same design aluminum frame.
03:48You have the Pixel camera bar design.
03:50It's IP68 dust and water resistant.
03:53Has the LTPO AMOLED display at 120 Hertz, HDR10+.
03:57It's 1440p, 6.7 inches,
04:00and it has a kind of like a boxy feel,
04:02but it's not too boxy to where it's uncomfortable.
04:04It's 512 for the PPI,
04:06and overall, just a beautiful display, honestly.
04:08No complaints.
04:09It is a curved panel,
04:11but honestly, very, very nice display.
04:13It's upgradable to Android 14,
04:15and then you also have the original Google Tensor chip,
04:18which is fine.
04:19I think for most people, it still does a pretty good job.
04:22You're able to play games,
04:23and again, it's not going to be like the best device
04:26on the list as far as like, you know,
04:27for my hardcore gamers on a budget,
04:30but you can casually play games.
04:32You can play PUBG on here, Call of Duty.
04:34It does a fantastic job at that,
04:36and like I said, it's running stock Android,
04:38so it's a super, super smooth device.
04:41You also have 128 gigs of internal storage
04:43and 12 gigs of RAM.
04:44Pretty good sounding stereo speakers.
04:46Lots of bass on here.
04:48Under the display, fingerprint sensor is optical.
04:51Only issue with unlocking on this phone
04:53is that you don't have face unlock, honestly.
04:56The best thing about this phone
04:58is that it still takes really good pictures.
05:00Honestly, the best photo taken on this list as far as stills
05:04even when you compare it to the Pixel 8 Pro,
05:06it's still taking just as good photos.
05:08It's got a 15 megapixel standard,
05:10a 48 megapixel telephoto, four times optical zoom,
05:13and a 12 megapixel ultrawide.
05:15It shoots in 4K 60, 11.1 ultrawide selfie camera on here.
05:20It shoots in 4K 30.
05:21Like I said, excellent cameras on here.
05:24Even compared to the newest phone,
05:25it's still taking excellent stills.
05:27So honestly, if you are looking for, you know,
05:29just the best camera phone on a budget as far as stills go,
05:33you can't really get much better than this phone.
05:35It's absolutely phenomenal when it comes to photography.
05:39The battery life on here is okay.
05:40It's a 5,000 milliamp hour battery,
05:4323 watt wire charging, 23 watt wireless charging.
05:46It also has reverse wireless charging
05:48and battery life on here, it's okay.
05:50You can squeeze about six hours out of this phone
05:52as well too.
05:53Overall, just an excellent pick for anybody on a budget
05:56who wants to take the best photos.
05:59Next is the S21 Ultra.
06:00And this phone is pretty interesting
06:02because this phone you can find actually
06:04just a little bit cheaper than the Note 20 Ultra.
06:07And like I said, it's because of the SD card support.
06:09This phone does not have it
06:11and it doesn't have the built-in S Pen support
06:13even though it supports it.
06:14But I think that's why.
06:15So I probably see this phone dropping in price
06:17faster than the Note, honestly.
06:19But this is still one of my favorite phones of this year.
06:23And, you know, to recommend to people
06:25who want an old flagship, I just absolutely love it.
06:27There's a lot to love about this phone.
06:28First off is the design.
06:30I still think this is one of Samsung's best designs
06:33unless we're talking about like the Note 10.
06:36But this is a fantastic design.
06:38It's such a cool, sort of like a sci-fi looking design.
06:42Especially the black color.
06:43It's IP68 dust and water resistant.
06:45And it has a really, really nice feel in the hand.
06:47It's not super boxy and it's very comfortable to hold
06:51even for a big phone that is, you know, at 6.8 inches.
06:54And it's Dynamic AMOLED, 120 Hertz, HDR10 Plus
06:58at 1500 nits peak brightness.
07:00Full 1440p, 515 for the PPI.
07:04It's a beautiful panel.
07:05Like I said, so easy to hold.
07:07I absolutely love this display.
07:09One of my favorite all time displays.
07:11And this phone is upgradable to Android 13
07:15and it will get Android 14 as well too,
07:17which is really nice.
07:19This phone is running the Snapdragon 888 processor.
07:21And then you also have, again, no SD card support,
07:24128 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs of RAM
07:27on the base model.
07:28You can honestly find the 256 for, you know,
07:31pretty cheap as well too.
07:33And performance wise on here, it's still a very fast phone.
07:36It pretty much blows through any applications,
07:38but it's not just this phone.
07:40It's a lot of the 888 phones.
07:42They kind of seem to get a little bit warmer
07:44than I would like.
07:45If you're doing like really intense stuff,
07:47video recording at high res,
07:49or just gaming for a long period of time.
07:51I've never had this phone actually crash on me
07:53or do anything like that or overheat
07:56or give any type of overheat signals,
07:57but that's just something I noticed.
07:59It's just not as efficient with heat as a 855 or 865.
08:04As far as the speakers go, the speakers are okay.
08:09It has a good amount of bass, pretty good sound quality,
08:10great fingerprint scanner.
08:12And then you get all your bells and whistles,
08:13Samsung desktop support.
08:15And like I said, it does support S Pen support as well too,
08:17which is pretty cool.
08:18You can buy that case for it.
08:20This phone has a fantastic camera.
08:22It's 108 megapixel standard,
08:2410 megapixel periscope telephoto,
08:2610 times optical, 10 megapixel telephoto,
08:29three times, and then a 12 megapixel ultra wide.
08:32It shoots in 8K 24 with a 40 megapixel selfie.
08:35That shoots in 4K 60.
08:37Fantastic cameras.
08:38I compared it to the S23 Ultra and it does a fantastic job.
08:42I think still takes excellent, excellent shots,
08:44great dynamic range, great color,
08:46really good zoom quality on here.
08:49And yeah, it's just the cameras are fantastic on this phone.
08:535,000 milliamp hour battery, 25 watt wire charging,
08:57and then you have wireless and reverse wireless.
08:59Basically, as far as the battery life goes,
09:02it's still pretty much the same
09:03as something like on the Note or most Samsung flagships.
09:07Samsung just made a big improvement with battery life,
09:10but this is still averaging around six hours as well too.
09:13All right, so next is the iPhone 12.
09:15Again, this phone is in the upper $300 price point.
09:19A really good phone to buy.
09:20I think if you buy this phone,
09:21you really won't have to upgrade
09:23for a couple of years, honestly.
09:26This phone is an aluminum frame, glass back,
09:29and it still has a really nice modern design.
09:31Honestly, it looks exactly like the,
09:34what was it, the iPhone 14,
09:36just with the camera switch around.
09:38So it's still got a really nice modern design.
09:41IP68 dust and water resistant.
09:44And you also do have on here a really nice screen.
09:47It's the XDR OLED display, it's HDR10.
09:50And you also have 1,200 nits peak brightness at 6.1 inches.
09:54It's 1170 by 2532, 460 for the PPI.
09:59Overall, a very nice and sharp display.
10:02No issues at all.
10:03And again, somewhat fairly decent
10:05when it comes to direct sunlight as well too.
10:08You can still see it.
10:10This phone, it has iOS 17 on it with the Apple A14 chip.
10:15Honestly, it's still blazing fast.
10:17I did a little speed test with this in the 15 Pro Max.
10:20And honestly, it's pretty much on par with the 15 Pro Max.
10:24So you're not really missing out
10:26when it comes to speed and stuff.
10:28And that same thing goes for gaming.
10:30The average person playing PUBG, Call of Duty,
10:32is still gonna be a beast when it comes to performance.
10:35So no issues at all with this phone when it comes to speed.
10:38It's still very, very fast.
10:4064 gigs of internal storage
10:41and four gigs of RAM on the base model.
10:44You can get the 128 gig for a pretty good price as well.
10:48Speakers on here sound really great.
10:50Really good amount of bass on here.
10:53You also have, again, Face ID, of course.
10:55The cameras and stuff.
10:57The cameras are still pretty good.
10:59Like I said, I did a comparison with the 15 Pro Max.
11:02And you have a 12 megapixel standard,
11:04a 12 megapixel ultra wide.
11:06It shoots in 4K 60.
11:0812 megapixel selfie shoots in 4K 60.
11:10Honestly, the stills look really good still on the iPhone 12.
11:15If you check out that video,
11:16still great dynamic range, great colors.
11:19I think the average person is still gonna be really happy
11:22with the photography on here.
11:24And also the video is still really solid
11:26on this phone as well too.
11:29So honestly, no complaints
11:30when it comes to image quality with this phone.
11:32This phone does have a 2,815 milliamp hour battery,
11:36wireless charging with MagSafe,
11:37so you can do the whole MagSafe accessory thing.
11:40And you also have wireless charging.
11:42Battery life on here is pretty decent.
11:44It gets somewhere around that six hour range.
11:46And I think mine has 87% battery health.
11:50So it's still a pretty good phone to check out.
11:53I think, honestly, one of the best phones you can get
11:56if you want an iPhone.
11:57All right, so I wanna throw the POCO F5 in here.
11:59I know it's not an old flagship,
12:00but you can get it for around the same price
12:02as a lot of these phones.
12:04And you can get it brand new as well.
12:06And this is a phone that I really liked.
12:07It had a all plastic design,
12:09which I think was the only kind of negative thing
12:13about this phone.
12:14But again, it's not too bad.
12:16It still looks very nice.
12:18It's IP53 dust and splash proof,
12:20so you can see where they kind of cut the cost
12:22with this phone.
12:24But yeah, so this phone has a pretty nice display.
12:26It's a 6.67 inch display.
12:28It's HDR10+, AMOLED, 120 hertz,
12:311000 nits peak brightness, 1080p, 395 for the PPI.
12:35So it's just an overall very nice display to look at.
12:38No issues there.
12:39This phone is running Android 13.
12:42It will get Android 14.
12:44And it does have the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 processor,
12:48which is a pretty nice chip.
12:50So it was very, very fast.
12:52And I think that was the highlight with this phone.
12:53It was pretty fast.
12:54I was able to play PUBG at 90 frames.
12:56And it was just a very speedy and fast phone
12:59for this price point.
13:00Pretty much gives you kind of like flagship quality
13:03performance on here.
13:04So you have 256 gigs of internal storage
13:07and eight gigs of RAM.
13:08Pretty nice stereo speakers on here.
13:10And what was really cool about this phone
13:12is this phone actually does have a headphone jack.
13:14So if you're somebody that's looking for a phone
13:15with a headphone jack, this one does have that.
13:18You also have an infrared port on here,
13:20which is pretty nice.
13:21So I really like these Xiaomi phones for that reason
13:25because you can pretty much control TVs, air conditioners
13:29with this infrared port, which is pretty cool.
13:31So you kind of have like a universal remote.
13:34And you also have pretty good cameras.
13:36A lot of you guys were impressed when I compared it
13:38to the S21 Ultra.
13:40It has a 64 megapixel standard, eight megapixel ultra wide,
13:44and a two megapixel macro.
13:45Shoots in only 4K 30 though.
13:47And a 16 megapixel selfie that only shoots in 1080p 60.
13:52So not super impressive camera specs.
13:54But as far as still photography,
13:56I was actually pretty impressed with the photo quality
13:58I was getting out of the POCO F5 for sure.
14:01And also another highlight with this phone
14:03is that it does have a 5,000 milliamp hour battery
14:06and with a 67 watt fast charging brick in the box,
14:10which was pretty awesome.
14:12So you get a really, really nice fast charging speed.
14:15It charges very, very fast.
14:17So yeah, overall, I really like this phone.
14:19Like I said, it has a couple of cutbacks to it.
14:22It's not a flagship phone,
14:24but overall I really enjoyed it for the price.
14:26And I think that it has some pretty nice stuff with it.
