00:54On Friday, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro held a video conference with his Russian
00:58counterpart Vladimir Putin to mark the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between
01:03the two countries.
01:04During this video conference, the two leaders strengthened their bonds of brotherhood and
01:09defined a path and a north for the interests of both nations.
01:13The two leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the strategic alliance in
01:19all fields.
01:20A particular emphasis was placed on the political, economic and diplomatic fields.
01:25Both leaders discussed their shared vision of building a more just and multipolar world
01:30order with Venezuela joining the BRICS group.
01:39And now we are entering the phase when our relations, relations between Russia and Venezuela
01:47are growing even more, when we start trusting each other more and more, because our stance
01:55on the strategic vision of the world development, of the global development is coinciding, and
02:01we have a practical understanding that a new world is possible.

02:31And also during the video conference, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro expressed his hope
02:36to sign a strategic partnership agreement that will further strengthen bilateral relations
02:41with the Russian nation.
02:45And I hope that we will have a chance to sign an agreement during the days, an agreement
02:51on strategic partnership between Russia and Venezuela that will help us bring our relations
02:58to the highest level possible, our relations across the board, as we've mentioned, in trade
03:04and economy, in financial matters, in banking matters, our cooperation in energy that is
03:11going to grow even stronger, our cooperation in industry, in public healthcare, in transportation,
03:19in agriculture.
03:23And also in this context, the Russian President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed the search of both
03:28nations for beneficial cooperation without external interference in internal affairs.
03:34Russia and Venezuela adhere in similar positions on many matters of the global agenda,
03:42on many items of the global agenda.
03:45We strive together to establish more just world order.
03:49We promote the principles of the sovereign equality of the states, of mutually beneficial
03:54cooperation without any interference from the outside into the domestic affairs.
03:59And precisely in this context, the Venezuelan government presented a wreath at the historical
04:04monument of the National Pantheon on the occasion of this 80th anniversary of bilateral relations
04:09with Russia.
04:10Venezuelan Vice President Delsi Rodriguez, together with the ambassador of the Russian
04:14Federation in Venezuela, Sergei Melik Bensarov, and Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil laid
04:20a wreath at the sarcophagus of the liberator Simon Bolivar.
04:25This offering is part of the activities that have been taking place since early in the
04:29morning and represents the 80 years of diplomacy and bilateral cooperation between both nations.

09:03Brazil commemorates today seven years since the assassination of Councilwoman Marielle
09:07Franco in Rio de Janeiro.
09:09On this day, relatives and social movements carry out various activities, starting with
09:14an enthusiastic celebration, followed by a march through the city center and asking for
09:21justice for Marielle and Anderson, festival at the Olympic Pyre Square, to commemorate
09:27the human rights defender who was killed on her way home after taking part in a debate
09:33with young Afro-descendants.
09:35Her car was attacked and she was shot several times in the head.
09:39For the murders, former military police officers Rony Leza and Elcio Vieira were tried and
09:45sentenced to up to 78 years in prison for material authorship of this crime.
09:58In other news in Ecuador, the National Electoral Council approved this Thursday the prohibition
10:02of the use of mobile telephones and electronic devices during the voting process, one month
10:07before the second round of national elections.
10:10The prohibition also affects the electoral authorities, whereas only one will be able
10:16to make use of the devices from the closing of the center to count and fill the tally
10:21sheets.
10:22This prohibition will not apply neither to the delegates of the political parties, who
10:26will be able to take photographs of the tally sheets for electoral control, nor to observers
10:32and press.
10:34This decision is taken based on police intelligence reports, which indicated that there were reports
10:40of extortion during the first round of elections.

13:32Among the exhibition was the 1904 treaty, which bears the names of the signatories,
13:37the representative of Cuba, Gonzalo Quesada y Arostegui, and the then Secretary of State

18:09Israeli occupation forces launched an incursion into northern Gaza, which took the life of

18:15Local media identified the child as Amar Hassam, who was hit to death in the Israeli aggression
18:21towards the Shehaiya town.
18:24The further detail that the boy was an orphan and his father had been killed in late 2023.
18:30The edition outlets revealed that the Israeli strike also left a woman seriously injured
18:36in the Israeli strike against northern Gaza.
18:38Overall, the Zionist army has been mounting attacks since the onset of the ceasefire deal
