13 November - National weather forecast presented by Marco Petagna.
Transcript
00:00Hello, good afternoon. We've got warm southerly winds across the UK just at the moment, but
00:04over the next few days things will start to change. We'll start to see areas of low pressure
00:08moving in from the west, bringing cooler conditions from off the Atlantic and wetter and windier
00:12spells too as we head into the new working week.
00:15Looking at things though in more detail for the rest of today, and it's quite a murky
00:19picture across many central and eastern parts of England, up across the eastern parts of
00:22Scotland. Here we could hold on to some low cloud throughout Sunday afternoon. Elsewhere
00:26though, plenty of sunshine around, but notice out towards the west, the strengthening southerly
00:29breeze and some outbreaks of rain starting to approach Northern Ireland by the end of
00:33the day. Pretty mild though for the time of year, temperatures widely into the low to
00:37mid-teens Celsius. We could actually peak at around about 20 degrees across north Wales
00:41and north-west England, making it the warmest Remembrance Sunday on record.
00:46As we head into the evening and during the overnight period, those murky conditions across
00:49central and eastern parts will tend to reform, quite dense patches of fog forming by Monday
00:54morning across some eastern parts of the UK. As we head out towards the west, those outbreaks
00:58of rain across Northern Ireland start to make inroads across western Scotland and some
01:02other western parts of the UK by Monday morning. A mild night though wherever you are, temperatures
01:06generally near double figures, locally dipping just below though to around about 6 or 7 degrees.
01:12Into Monday itself, and that grotty murky start across the east will give way to quite
01:16a lot of low cloud across some eastern parts during the day on Monday. Those outbreaks
01:20of rain meanwhile out across western parts make further inroads into some central areas
01:24during the day, and during the afternoon we start to see some sunshine building across
01:28Northern Ireland, Wales and the south-west of England, so a better end to the day here.
01:33Temperatures still quite mild for the time of year, but a bit cooler than in recent days,
01:36peaking at 16 degrees there in London, that's 61 in Fahrenheit.
01:40That's pretty much it for me, but of course you can keep tuned to the Met Office forecast
01:43by following us on social media. I'll see you soon, take care, bye bye.
