00:00Update is out. It was a pretty big one
00:031.6 gigs and let's go over all of the new things that's in this update here and
00:10First off. I want to say it fix a whole bunch of bugs here, especially with like my camera
00:16I couldn't like do 30 times zoom
00:18It was super blurry and you would expect that on a beta stuff and a lot of crashes and stuff like that
00:24But it's overall this one is way way more stable
00:28But like I said, if you're gonna check out the the beta stuff you just you know
00:32You got to expect that right if you don't know how to get the beta
00:36And first off guys check out the the first one because that had a lot of pretty good features in it
00:42You go to the Samsung's members application and you just go to the one UI a program
00:46It'll be in these little cards up here and you'll see it and you just join the program as you can see right here
00:52I'm already in it. Alright, so let's go ahead and
00:55I'll start off with what is actually new with this update. Alright, so the first cool thing is
01:00You're gonna go into your developer options and to enable that you go to software information and type the build number
01:08Just keep tapping it and then it'll open it up. Okay. So once we do that, you'll see this
01:14Developer options and we're gonna tap back
01:19Animation or
01:22Predictive back animation right and then we're gonna go ahead and turn that on
01:25So now you'll see when you swipe back you can actually preview what you're actually seeing so you can see that
01:34It looks pretty cool you guys know I typically use the buttons but I've been using this and I actually really like it
01:40It just looks really cool. It's sleek
01:42So it's something that it's a little feature not not a big one, but I really like it
01:46And also, I don't know if you guys noticed but there's a small visual change here
01:50As you can see the icons of what application I'm using is now popping up here, which I think is really really nice looking
01:57I think all Android phones should do this. It just gives it a really nice look instead of it
02:00Just having like the text right here. Just showing the icon
02:03I think it makes it look really nice to especially if you have like a ton of application stuff
02:08It's a small thing, but definitely I really like the visual look at that
02:11Alright, there's some other little small things in here as well to you and I'll show you guys
02:15So the apparently people don't like this the whole camera flip thing like apparently you can turn this off now
02:21I didn't know people didn't like this, but apparently it's an option. So you go to settings now and you will see
02:27It right here swipe up slash down to switch cameras. You can turn that off
02:33So if you're one of those people that really hate this feature, I I don't know why I keep it on
02:38I actually do use that quite a bit. But um, if you do hate it
02:41I mean Samsung has now given you that option to go ahead and and you know mess with it
02:47Apparently, this is a new feature as well, too
02:49Which I did not know which I thought you could always do this on any Android
02:53But now you can use two hands to you know, put an application on your home screen
02:58Like kind of like on iPhone. So now you can do it like this to put an application on
03:04That's what they said in the menu. I thought I thought you could do this already, but apparently not
03:08So, let me know if you guys can do this, but Samsung said this is a new feature in these settings
03:14All right. So the next thing is the Samsung studio
03:18application is now a separate thing and I
03:21You know foresee them actually making this into like in it like a you know, iMovie competitor
03:26it's a now a separate application here and I'll show you guys you just open it up and
03:32Just open something fresh up here
03:35and
03:36It basically works like I'm there's not a ton of stuff in here
03:40But you can do your basic like cut and add soundtracks add your own music
03:45To it as well to they have stuff in here where you can add text as well
03:50So if you are like a short form creator or something like that
03:53You can just come in here and if you need to add text or like these little emojis and stuff like that
03:58So they have some fun, you know some cool stuff in here
04:01But like I said, it needs it just doesn't have a ton of settings and stuff like that
04:06As you can see not a ton of settings with this editor. But like I said, it's fairly new. So it's not a big deal
04:12But yeah, I absolutely think this is a good move on Samsung's part for sure here
04:17So you can also come in here and you can see you can straighten and do all this stuff mess with the sound
04:25You can add effects and stuff like that. You can mess with the brightness
04:28So you can really tweak it and stuff like that your videos
04:32But like I said it, you know, they're working on it. So I know it doesn't look like it does a ton of stuff
04:37it's not gonna do a ton of advanced stuff like
04:39You know that you cut and stuff like that, but it's definitely good for like a basic editor
04:43Next there's a huge security update here in settings
04:46We go to security and privacy and you see a new auto blocker setting here
04:51So auto blocker keeps your phone safe blocking threats and other suspicious activity
04:56I think this is going to be excellent for me, you know older Samsung flagships when they
05:01You know are not getting updates anymore. Just having these security settings in general is really good. So block apps from unauthorized stores
05:09so basically when you try to install applications from basically anywhere the Galaxy Store the
05:17Chrome web browser, it will not be able to install it. So that's basically, you know, you can see you can you can enable
05:25Or you can't even enable. Yeah, so it just cuts it all off. Yeah, so yeah, you can't even cut them on or off
05:31But it basically blocks anything from being installed from anywhere
05:35Even your files and stuff like that a turn turns on app security check apps installed on your phone will be checked for
05:42Malicious activity as well. So it'll basically scan
05:46Applications on your phone. So I don't scan apps daily. So I really like this feature as well, too
05:51Just in case you you know downloaded something there's always apps in the Play Store that people download that have
05:58Malware and spyware and stuff like that. And then of course you got the scanner on here
06:02You can just self scan it as well, too. And
06:05Then let's go back
06:09Okay blocks commands by USB cable
06:11So a lot of people don't know this it's actually really easy to hack a phone even when it's turned off
06:16And even when there's a pin on it
06:18Malicious chargers computers and other devices won't be able to send commands to your phone when connected to using USB
06:24So a lot of people don't know that but yes, you can like especially for Android just plug it in
06:29You can hack it and run code on it very very easily
06:33Messaging app protection block images suspected of containing malware and messaging applications
06:40um
06:40so this is something that
06:42They have so you have you have the option to turn this on or off because basically is it'll be scanning images
06:47Which I think I don't know. It seems like a privacy concern
06:50So personally I would turn that off but you know
06:53If you're saying, you know, I just I don't know because I don't I don't want like Samsung scanning images
07:00Right that I'm sending to people or stuff like that
07:02But I don't know. What do you guys think a block software updates by USB cable as well, too
07:07So this is just another way to you know
07:09You can probably run some code through a USB cable as well prevent installation system software using a USB cable
07:15This prevents someone with physical access to your phone from stealing from installing malicious software without your knowledge stuff like that
07:22So it's just an extra security measure here. We have on one UI, which I think it's pretty good
07:29Yeah, so overall there's a ton of bug fixes and I'll take you guys to the actual
07:34Page here. So we got the my files thing, which is kind of bored integrated trash can with gallery is kind of bored
07:41And a ton of bug fixes as you guys could see
07:44Copy files with two hands touch and hold the file you want with the other hand and then use the other hand to navigate the
07:50Folder where you want it. Okay, so that now that makes more sense
07:53So if you're trying to move files around then you could do it with two hands. I guess that makes more sense
07:58Um, yeah, we went over all this stuff Samsung pass don't really use but now you can have safer sign-ins with pass keys
08:07What else do we have here?
08:10Yeah, the video editor is fairly new. It doesn't do a ton of stuff and went over that and
08:15Custom water cup sizes you can now custom customize the size of the cups in Samsung health water
08:22Okay, so yeah, they did a big improvement assessment health, which I don't really use at all
08:27But a ton of but I'm gonna tell you that they fixed a lot when it comes to
08:32You guys can see it right here. They fixed a lot when it comes to the overall
08:36Like speed it wasn't really slow
08:38It was just kind of like glitchy and there's a lot of random stuff not working
08:42But they have fixed that and it's like super super smooth now
08:47Yeah, but that's pretty much it. I know not a ton of stuff very, you know, kind of boring, but it was a big update
08:54Mostly to fix a lot of the stuff that was just going crazy on this phone because it was just going crazy
