Recipe to prepare "Kachche Tamatar ki Chutney":
Ingredients:
4-5 raw, green tomatoes
1 tbsp refined oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 pinch asafoetida
2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp grated jaggery
3-4 tbsp mint leaves
Method:
Take tomatoes, chop into medium pieces and deseed those.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add cumin seeds, and let crackle.
Add asafoetida and green chillies; toss well.
Add tomatoes, and toss again. Cook for a while by tossing in between.
Add salt; toss and stir well.
Cover the pan, and cook for around 1 minute until tomatoes soften.
Uncover, and toss well.
Add coriander leaves, and mix well.
Add jaggery, and mix again.
Add mint leaves, and mix well.
Put off the flame, and let it cool to room temperature.
Grind into a fine paste, in a mixer/grinder.
Kachche Tamatar ki Chutney is ready to serve.
Note: Store the chutney in refrigerator.
