18 April - National weather forecast
Transcript
00:00Hello there, it's been an exceptionally dry April so far and we'll likely see very little in the way of rain during the coming week.
00:07Perhaps a little bit of rain at first in the far north west due to these weather fronts here, but high pressure will be keeping things settled and dry for the vast majority of the country as we go right the way through this week with plenty of sunshine at times too.
00:20Back to this evening and it's dry and clear for the vast majority of the country, the best of the clear sky further east and here temperatures will fall quite close to freezing to give a frost in the countryside and also some patchy fog developing across East Anglia and the south east.
00:34Cloudier skies across the far north west though keeping temperatures up here and some patchy rain for the far north west of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
00:41The rain continues across the far north west at times through the course of tomorrow but for the vast majority once any early morning fog has cleared it's looking like another dry day.
00:50Plenty of sunshine as well and feeling much warmer I think more widely tomorrow with highs of 17 or 18 degrees expected for many inland areas.
01:01Through the evening and skies generally become clearer and it stays dry for the vast majority of us, still some patchy rain across the far north west and some low cloud perhaps advancing into the far east.
01:12So staying dry through the next few days for the vast majority of us but do watch out for those overnight frosts.
