00:00What's up guys, so in today's video I went ahead and bought a Galaxy S22 because I thought
00:08it was a great price.
00:10They're going on Amazon, these refurbished, renewed versions for $400 guys and I thought
00:16that was a really good deal and I've been using the phone and I'm just really impressed
00:20with the quality of this phone, especially for the price that you get this phone at.
00:25I think it is extremely impressive, so let's go ahead and dive into it here.
00:30Alright, so let's go ahead and jump into one of my favorite things about this phone so
00:34far is actually the size of this phone.
00:36So if you do have smaller hands, this is an excellent size, an extremely comfortable phone.
00:41I think it's much more comfortable, and we'll get into this comparison, than the S22 Ultra.
00:46You guys see those sort of like aggressively squared off edges here, where these have more
00:52smooth edges, and it's just way more comfortable to hold, in my opinion, in addition to this
00:57just being a smaller phone.
00:59So if you have smaller hands, it just feels great.
01:02Not only that, but it is made out of premium materials as well too.
01:05Of course here, we do have Gorilla Glass Victus, we have a glass back, aluminum frame on here
01:10as well too.
01:11It's IP68 dust and water resistant.
01:13This one doesn't pick up really a lot of fingerprints as well too, which is something that I really
01:18like.
01:19I do like that Samsung kept the camera cutout on here.
01:22A lot of people hated that they went with the S22, they wanted to see that again with
01:29this design.
01:30But yeah, I really do like the little cutout from the S21 Ultra still here in the S22.
01:36I think that's pretty nice.
01:37It just is a very nicely well-built phone, screams premium as well too.
01:42It's also pretty light as well too.
01:44It's not a heavy phone at all really.
01:46Now in addition to this phone being so comfortable, it's the same thing with the screen size on
01:52here.
01:53It is a 6.1 inch display.
01:54It is a dynamic AMOLED display at 120Hz.
01:57It is HDR10+, and it is a 1080p panel 425 for the PPI as well.
02:04It gets up to 1300 nits peak brightness.
02:07So outdoors, it gets really bright as well too.
02:10Colors look really vibrant.
02:11And also you get some pretty slim bezels on this phone as well too if you go ahead and
02:15check it out.
02:17Here is something that I really like.
02:18Just a really slim bezel experience.
02:20So you do get a really nice immersive experience, especially when you're watching videos and
02:24stuff like that on here.
02:25It just looks really sweet.
02:28You know on the screen size, I think it looks really great watching videos, content in general
02:34on here.
02:35So the screen overall, the body, it is a really nice premium experience here.
02:41Now what's pretty impressive about this phone is actually the power of this device.
02:46So you are running the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip on here, the Adreno 730 GPU.
02:52This phone does not have any SD card support, and then you have 128 gigs of internal storage
02:56and 8 gigs of RAM on here as well.
02:59So this is going to be a very powerful phone.
03:02Even if you're just gaming and stuff like that, it really doesn't matter what you do
03:05on this device.
03:06It is going to be a very fast and fluid experience.
03:10So I'll drop a gaming test for you guys, but this device stays relatively cool.
03:14It doesn't really heat up that much.
03:16I'm not a hardcore gamer, so we'll go ahead and put it through and play a ton of games
03:21on it and see if we get really bad heating problems.
03:24But this one seems to be a little bit cooler than the S22 Ultra for sure.
03:29And you can see for Call of Duty Mobile, pretty much any game you can run at high settings
03:33on this phone.
03:34So that's what I was saying, for $400, most phones you can get like a mid-ranger and stuff
03:41like that that aren't going to have anywhere near as good as power as this phone is going
03:46to have.
03:47You'd probably get like a mid-range chip.
03:49But you get a very high quality flagship experience with this phone.
03:52I mean, it is phenomenal, dang.
03:59So that's what I always try to tell people in general, guys.
04:02Check out these flagship phones.
04:03A lot of people, they would get a mid-ranger, a very less powerful mid-ranger.
04:10And yeah, you'd be missing out on a ton of power for $400.
04:15You basically can play any game at high settings, guys.
04:18It's pretty crazy.
04:19I gotta get this guy.

04:22All right.
04:23Now, guys, this is a flagship phone, so this will be getting the same software updates
04:32as the S22 Ultra.
04:34So I believe this phone is getting like four or five years of major OS updates, which is
04:38absolutely nuts.
04:39So this phone is going to have extreme longevity as well, too.
04:44As you can see, everything that the S22 Ultra have, you have on this phone besides obviously
04:49the S Pen support.
04:51The reverse wireless power sharing is on here.
04:53Samsung desktop support is on here.
04:55Secure folders, Adobe Atmos is on here as well, too.
04:59And we can tweak our processing speeds and stuff like that as well, too, to get maximum
05:04performance.
05:05So this phone is just blazing fast.
05:06It comes with all of the features and stuff like that as well, too.
05:10So there's just a lot to love about the S22 here.
05:15You're not really missing out on anything.
05:17Also, I do want to show you guys the speakers on here because the speakers are also pretty
05:22good on this device here.
05:25So let's go ahead and check that out.
05:51So as you guys can hear, the speaker quality is pretty good.
05:56On the S22, if you block the bottom speaker, you still get pretty good volume out of the
06:00top speaker as well, too.
06:02So if you're watching Netflix or whatever on here, you will get some really good quality
06:08audio on this thing.
06:09Also, for additional features, you do have NFC.
06:12You do have, like I said, the reverse wireless power sharing.
06:15The Samsung DeX support is on here.
06:18Your standard wireless charging is also on here as well, too.
06:23And then you have that IP68 dust and water resistant as well.
06:26I do want to talk about getting into the phone, the biometrics on here.
06:30It's pretty great.
06:31Samsung has been pretty good at this for a while.
06:33You do have your face unlocked.
06:34And then you also have the fingerprint scanner, which is extremely super fast and silky smooth
06:41on here.
06:42So, yeah.
06:43So this phone, like I said, overall just well-rounded.
06:45It's really hard to find something that's actually bad about this phone at this price
06:49point.
06:50All right, guys.
06:51Let's talk about the camera quality on here.
06:52You get some excellent flagship quality cameras on this device.
06:56It's absolutely insane for $400.
06:58So it is a 50-megapixel standard, so you get some really nice crispy shots if you go ahead
07:03and turn on that full 50-megapixel resolution.
07:06You also have a 10-megapixel telephoto lens.
07:09That does shoot up to 3X telephoto right here, so you can get that really nice zoom.
07:15It has a 30X digital zoom, which is honestly not...
07:18I mean, 10X photos still come out somewhat decent on this phone.
07:22But yeah, excellent zoom quality shots on here.
07:25And then you also have a 12-megapixel ultra-wide on here as well.
07:29This phone is capable of shooting in 8K24, and then you also have 4K60.
07:34And then you have a 10-megapixel selfie that shoots in 4K60 on here.
07:38Image quality looks very good on here.
07:40I was really happy with colors.
07:43I was really happy with the selfie cam on here.
07:45I was really happy with dynamic range.
07:48The telephoto and ultra-wide had great color close to the main lens.
07:54Quality was pretty good.
07:56It just takes some great photos.
07:57Low-light shots on here also are very good as well, too.
08:02Like I said, the zoom shots on here, like the 3X, it's just awesome.
08:06It does such a great job with retaining that great color and detail as well, too.
08:11And yeah, so I was really impressed.
08:14Even though it was kind of rainy today, it still did an impressive job to me.

08:44Now, let's go ahead and discuss the battery life.
08:58So this phone does have a 3,700 milliamp battery.
09:02It does have 25-watt fast charging, so it charges decently fast.
09:06Not the fastest, but like I said, it is decent.
09:09You do have on here the reverse wireless charging and wireless charging, so you're able to charge
09:14up a pair of earbuds or another phone if you want to with this phone, so you can use
09:18it as a wireless charging pad.
09:20So battery life on here, this phone can easily get six hours of screen on time, so it does
09:26count as an all-day phone.
09:28But it is the best battery life that I've experienced in this size phone.
09:33No, they could have made the battery a little bit bigger in this phone, because when I picked
09:37it up, I was like, man, this phone is light.
09:39And it's because the battery is kind of like, it's not small, but it's definitely small
09:44by 2022 standards, right?
09:46I would have think they would have leased on a 4,000 milliamp battery.
09:49I feel like if they put a 4,500 in this phone, you would get some crazy screen on time, maybe
09:55around that seven to eight hours, but six hours, it does qualify this as an all-day
10:00phone for me.
10:01But if you do do more heavy use on this phone, like more intensive applications and stuff
10:05like that, then yes, you can probably squeeze another, maybe you'll get around five hours,
10:12five hours and 30 minutes of screen on time.
10:15But this phone, I've never ran out of battery life, if you're out doing stuff.
10:21So for a normal day's use, it's perfectly fine for that.
10:24So the S22, for this price point, is extremely impressive at 400 bucks.
10:30I absolutely love the build quality.
10:33I love the screen.
10:34I love the cameras on here.
10:36I wish it had SD card support.
10:39The processor is awesome on here.
10:42There's really nothing to not like on here.
10:44This is like Samsung's most well-rounded phone.
10:47Even with the S22 Ultra, I have my little nitpicks and stuff like that.
10:50But even if this phone was like 600 bucks, it's still, for 600 bucks, it's like, it checks
10:55off all the boxes.
10:56It does everything really well.
10:57So I think that's probably one of the most important things here.
