00:05Then the idols and those who strayed will be hurled into the fire headlong one upon another.
00:17And so too the hosts of Iblis, all of them.
00:27There they will quarrel with one another and the erring ones will say to their deities
00:41By Allah, we were surely in clear error.
00:51When we assigned to you a position equal to that of the Lord of the Universe.
01:04It is none but those steeped in guilt who led us into this error.
01:14And now we have none to intercede on our behalf.
01:22Nor do we have a truly sincere friend.
01:33If only we could return, we would be among the believers.
01:48Surely there's a sign in this, but most of them would not believe.
02:00Verily, your Lord is immensely mighty, ever compassionate.
02:11The people of Noah gave the lie to the messengers.
02:22Recall when their brother Noah said to them,
02:25Do you have no fear?
02:32I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
02:39So fear Allah and obey me.
03:05So fear Allah and obey me.
03:14They answered, Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?
03:27Noah said, What knowledge do I have about their deeds?
03:38It is only for my Lord to take account of them.
03:42Would that you made use of your understanding.
03:51It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe.
04:02I am none but a plain warner.
04:14They said, Oh Noah, if you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed.
04:26He said, My Lord, my people have branded me a liar.
04:41So pass a clear judgment between me and them, and rescue me and the believers with me.
04:56Thereafter, We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden ark.
05:08And drowned the rest.
05:20Surely, there's a sign in this, but most of them would not believe.
05:34Verily, your Lord is immensely mighty, ever compassionate.
05:45The Aad gave the lie to the messengers.
05:54Recall when their brother Hud said to them,
05:58Have you no fear?
06:05I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
06:13So fear Allah and obey me.
06:26I seek of you no reward for this.
06:29My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe.
06:40What? You build a monument on every hill merely for fun?
06:51And erect huge palaces as though you will live forever?
07:01And when you strike, you strike like tyrants?
07:09So fear Allah and obey me.
07:20Have fear of Him who has provided you with all the good things you know.
07:31Who has provided you with flocks and children.
07:40And with gardens and springs.
07:51I fear for you the chastisement of an awesome day.
08:07They replied, it is all the same for us whether you admonish us or not.
08:19This has been happening all along.
08:26We will not be subjected to any chastisement.
08:42Eventually they gave the lie to him and we destroyed them.
08:47Surely there is a sign in this but most of them would not believe.
09:00Verily your Lord is immensely mighty, most compassionate.
09:10The Thamud gave the lie to the messengers.
09:22Recall when their brother Saleh said to them,
09:25Have you no fear?
09:32I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
09:40So fear Allah and obey me.
09:54I ask of you no reward.
09:56My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe.
10:07Do you believe that you will be left here to live securely in the present state?
10:18Amidst gardens and springs?
10:28And cornfields and date palms laden with juicy fruits?
10:40You hew dwellings and mountains and exult in that.
10:48Fear Allah and obey Me.
10:57And do not follow the biddings of those that go to excesses.
11:08And spread mischief in the land rather than set things right.
11:21They replied, You are nothing but one of those who are bewitched.
11:40You are no different from a mortal like us. So produce a sign if you are truthful.
11:57Saleh said, This is a she-camel. There's a day set for her to drink and there's a day set for you to drink.
12:16Do not molest her, lest the chastisement of an awesome day should seize you.
12:28But they hamstrung her and then regretted it.
12:44So the chastisement seized them. Surely there's a sign in this, but most of them would not believe.
12:59Verily, your Lord is immensely mighty, most compassionate.
13:10The people of Lot rejected the messengers, branding them liars.
13:23Recall when their brother Lot said to them,
13:26Have you no fear?
13:33I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
13:41So fear Allah and obey me.
13:54I seek of you no reward.
13:57My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe.
14:06What? A false creation? Will you go to fornicate with the males?
14:24Leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates?
14:29Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits.
14:45They said, O Lot, if you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled from our towns.
14:59He said, I am one of those who abhor your practice.
15:09My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds.
15:20Then we delivered him and all his family.
15:29Except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind.
15:39Thereafter, we utterly destroyed the rest.
15:54And we sent upon them a rain, an evil rain, that fell on those who had been warned.
16:11Surely, there's a sign in this, but most of them would not believe.
16:23Verily, your Lord is immensely mighty, most compassionate.
16:34The people of Aikah also gave the lie to the messengers.
16:44Recall when Shuayb said to them,
17:17My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe.
17:28Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people.
17:38Weigh with an even balance.
17:49And do not deliver short and do not go about creating mischief in the land.
18:02And have fear of Him who created you and the earlier generations.
18:16They said, you are no more than one of those who have been bewitched.
18:34You are only a mortal like us. Indeed, we believe that you are an utter liar.
18:52So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful.
19:04Shuayb said, my lord knows well all what you do.
19:20Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them.
19:27It was the chastisement of a very awesome day.
19:42Surely there's a sign in this, but most of them would not believe.
19:54Verily, your Lord is immensely mighty, most compassionate.
20:07Indeed, this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe.
20:16Which the truthful spirit has carried down.
20:25To your heart, that you might become one of those who warn others on behalf of Allah.
20:37A revelation in clear Arabic language.
20:47A revelation embodied in the scriptures of the ancients.
21:05Is it not a sign to them, to wit the Makkans, that the learned men of the children of Israel know that?
21:19But such is their adamance, that had we revealed it to one of the non-Arabs,
21:25and even if he had recited this clear Arabic discourse to them,
21:37they would still not have believed in it.
21:47Thus have we caused this admonition to penetrate the hearts of the culprits, like a hot rod.
22:02They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement.
22:15But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares,
22:25they say, can we be granted some respite?
22:34Do they really want our chastisement to be expedited?
22:46Did you consider that if we were to let them enjoy life for many years
22:59and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them
23:13of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy
23:29We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners
23:40To admonish them we have never been unjust
23:49The satans did not bring down this clear book
23:59Nor does it behove them nor does it lie in their power
24:11Indeed, they are debarred from even hearing it
24:24So do not call any other god beside Allah
24:27Lest you become of those who will be punished
24:37And warn your nearest kinsmen
24:46And be meek to the believers who follow you
25:00Then if they disobey you, say to them,
25:03I am quit of what you do
25:11And put your trust in Him
25:13Who is immensely mighty, most compassionate
25:22Who observes you when you rise to pray
25:30And observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves
25:40He is all-hearing, all-knowing
25:51O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend?
26:02They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin
26:13On those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people
26:18And most of them are liars
26:28As for poets, only the wayward follow them
26:40Do you not see that they wander about in every valley
26:51And say things which they do not act upon
27:21Except those who believed and acted righteously
27:25And remembered Allah much
27:27And when they themselves were subjected to wrong
27:31They exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong
27:36Soon will the wrongdoers know the end that they shall reach
27:48In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most compassionate
27:54Ta-Seen
28:18A guidance and good tidings for the believers
28:33Who establish prayer and give zakah
28:37And have firm faith in the hereafter
28:52As for those who do not believe in the hereafter
28:56We've made their deeds seem attractive to them
28:59So they stumble around in perplexity
29:16It is they for whom a grievous chastisement lies in store
29:21It is they who shall be the greatest losers in the hereafter
29:35As for you, O Muhammad
29:37You are receiving the Quran from the Most Wise
29:41The All-Knowing
30:04Recount to them when Moses said to his family
30:08I perceive something like fire
30:11Soon will I bring to you some information from there
30:15Or I will bring you a burning brand that you may warm yourselves
30:39But when Moses came to the fire, a call was sounded
30:43Blessed is he who is in the fire and whatever is around it
30:48Glory be to Allah, the Sustainer of all in the universe
31:03O Moses, verily this is me, Allah, the Almighty, the All-Wise
31:33Now cast your rod, but when he saw the rod writhing as though it were a serpent,
31:39he turned his back and retreated, and did not even look behind
31:44O Moses, have no fear, messengers have no fear in my presence
32:04Except he who has committed some wrong, but if he substitutes good in place of evil,
32:11I am most forgiving, most compassionate
32:37Now put your hand into your bosom, and it will come forth shining without any blemish
32:44These are two of the nine signs to be carried to Pharaoh and his people
32:49They are surely a wicked people
33:05But when our clear signs came to them, they said,
33:09This is plain magic
33:28They denied those signs out of iniquity and arrogance
33:33Although their hearts were convinced of their truth
33:37So see how evil was the end of those mischief makers
33:58On the other hand, we granted knowledge to David and Solomon
34:03And they said all praise be to Allah who has exalted us above many of his believing servants
34:34And Solomon succeeded David and said,
34:40O people, we have been taught the speech of birds and we have been endowed with all kinds of things
34:47Surely this is a conspicuous favor from Allah
35:03Hosts of jinn and humans and birds were marshaled for Solomon and were kept under full control
35:35Solomon was once on the move with them, until when they reached a valley of ants.
35:41One of the ants said,
35:43Oh ants, get into your holes, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you under their feet, without even knowing.
36:21Smiling at the ants' utterance, Solomon burst into laughter and said,
36:27My lord, hold me under your control, that I may render thanks for the favor which you have bestowed on me and on my parents,
36:37and that I may act righteously in a manner that would please you.
36:42Include me out of your mercy among your righteous servants.
36:47On another occasion, Solomon inspected the birds and said,
37:06Why is it that I do not see the hoopoe? Is he among the absentees?
37:11I will inflict a severe punishment on him or maybe even slaughter him unless he comes forth with a convincing reason for his absence.
37:40Not before long, the hoopoe came up and said, I have obtained a knowledge which you could not.
38:02I have brought for you sure news about Sheba.
38:06I found there a woman ruling over them, one who has been endowed with all things and has a mighty throne.
38:28I found her and her people prostrating themselves before the sun rather than Allah.
38:56Satan has made their deeds appear attractive to them and has thus debarred them from the right path so they do not find true guidance.
39:19That they would prostrate themselves before Allah who brings to light all that is hidden in the heavens and the earth and knows all that you conceal and all that you reveal.
39:41Allah, none is worthy of worship save He. He is the Lord of the mighty throne.
39:56Solomon said, Soon shall we see whether you have spoken the truth or are one of those that lie.
40:04Take this letter of mine, deliver it to them and then draw back from them and observe what they do.
40:24The queen said, Know, my nobles, that a gracious letter has been delivered to me.
40:52It is from Solomon and it is in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
41:00It says, Do not act towards me with defiance but come to me in submission.
41:12After reading the letter, the queen said, Nobles, let me have your counsel in this matter for I make no firm decision without you.
41:36They said, We are strong and are given to vehement fighting but the decision is yours. Therefore, consider what you would like to command.
42:03The queen said, When the kings enter a country, they cause corruption in it and abase those of its people who are held in honour.
42:31This is what they are wont to do.
42:33I will send them a gift and then see with what answer my envoys return.
42:52When Solomon came, he said, Will you give me wealth? Allah has given me nothing better than what He has given you. You rejoice in your gift.
43:17Now when the envoy of the queen came to Solomon, he said, Do you want to aid me with wealth? Whatever Allah has granted me is much more than what He has given you. Keep for yourselves your gift in which you are exulting.
43:33Envoy, go back to those who sent you, and we shall certainly come upon them with hosts whom they will be unable to resist.
43:58We shall drive them out from there, and they will suffer humiliation and disgrace.
44:22Solomon said, My nobles, which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?
44:46A stalwart of the jinn said, I will bring it to you before you rise from your council. Surely I have the power to do so, and I am trustworthy.
45:16And he who had some knowledge of the book said, I will bring it to you before you rise from your council. Surely I have the power to do so, and I am trustworthy.
45:46When Solomon saw the throne placed firmly beside him, he cried out, This is by the grace of my Lord, so that He may test me whether I give thanks for His bounty or act with ingratitude.
46:04Solomon said, Whoever is grateful is so to his own good, and whoever is ungrateful, let him know that my Lord is immensely resourceful, most bountiful.
46:29Solomon said, Set the throne before her casually, and let us see whether she gets to the truth, or is one of those who are not guided to what is right.
46:40When the queen arrived, she was asked, Is your throne like this one? She said, It seems as if it is the same.
47:08We had already come to know this, and we had submitted ourselves.
47:13What prevented her from accepting the true faith was her worshipping deities other than Allah, for she belonged to an unbelieving people.
47:38It was said to her, Enter the throne. But when she saw it, she thought it was made of clay, and she removed her feet from it.
47:49He said, It is a throne made of clay.
47:57She was told, Enter the palace. But when she saw it, she thought it was a pool of water, and she bared both her calves to enter into it.
48:19Solomon said, This is a slippery floor of crystal.
48:24Thereupon she cried out, My Lord, I have been inflicting much wrong on myself. Now I submit myself with Solomon to Allah, the Lord of the whole universe.
48:38And We sent to Thamud their brother Saleh with the message, Serve Allah. But all of a sudden they became split into two quarrelling factions.
49:03Saleh said, My people, why do you wish to hasten that evil rather than good should come upon you? Why should you not seek pardon from Allah so that mercy be shown to you?
49:31They said, We are pleased with you and those with you. He said, Your pleasure is with Allah. Rather, you are a people being tested.
49:45They said, We augur ill of you and those who are with you. Saleh replied, Your augury is with Allah. The truth is that you are a people who are being tried.
50:00And there was in the city a nine-storied tower, which they destroyed in the ground, and did not repair.
50:10Now there were nine ringleaders in the city who created corruption in the land and never worked to set things right.
50:19They said, Swear to one another in the name of Allah that we shall make a sudden night-soup on Saleh and his family
50:48and will then tell their heirs that we did not witness the destruction of his family. We are indeed truthful.
50:56Thus they planned, and we too planned, the while they did not know.
51:12So see what was the outcome of the plan they made. We utterly destroyed them and their people, all of them.
51:33Now behold their houses that lie in utter ruins because of their wrongdoing. Verily there is a sign in this for the people who know.
51:56And We delivered those who believed and were wont to avoid disobeying Allah.
52:23We also sent Lot, and recall when he told his people, Do you commit shameless acts with your eyes open?
52:47Do you lustfully approach men instead of women? Nay, you engage in acts of sheer ignorance.
53:15But this had only one answer from his people. They said, Expel Lot's folk from your city. They pretend to be absolutely clean.
53:37Eventually, we saved Lot and his family, except his wife. We had decreed that she should be among those who would remain behind.
53:58And We rained down upon them a rain. It was an evil rain for those who had already been warned.
54:22Say, O Muhammad, All praise be to Allah, and peace be on those of His servants whom He has chosen. Ask them, Who is better, Allah or the false gods that they associate with Him as His partners?
