00:00What's up guys, so a lot of questions on which phone should you get here in
00:052024 here and it's pretty funny because this is like a
00:10wildly popular question should you get the note 20 ultra here or the s22 ultra here and
00:17Yeah, so let's go ahead and go over it
00:19They're both around in the same price point as well, too
00:22Which I think makes it even more interesting as well too because a lot of people would say, you know
00:27Why would anyone pick the note 20 ultra over the s22 ultra?
00:32simply because of the SD card support the s22 ultra does not have SD card support and
00:38Also, there's a few things that the s22 ultra does that, you know, it just does it much better than the note
00:44So I'm gonna go ahead and compare these so you guys can see is it that much better is the SD card really worth?
00:50You know the I guess negatives of the note 20 ultra. So let's go ahead and jump into it
00:56So first off let's talk about this design here. You have two really nice designs. I'm a big fan of both designs
01:03I actually really like the glossy look on the note. I think it's aged really well
01:07I think when this first came out a lot of people were calling it ugly, but here in 2024 still looks pretty good
01:12Yeah, you could say I guess the camera little camera module thing is I guess a little bit outdated
01:18I guess but I think it's still I think it looks cool. I think it still looks really nice
01:22Has a very like kind of classy look to it
01:24Yes, 22 ultra has that matte finish which you can see does not pick up fingerprints
01:29You will get like smudges and stuff all over the note
01:32And they're both ip68 dust and water resistant as well, too
01:35they're both honestly feel about the same weight and they're about the same size as well, too and
01:41Then you have your built-in s-pen on both of these phones as well
01:45And I think the placement might be a little bit. No, this is no
01:49It's the same so you got your s-pen and the same placement the only big hardware difference with these two phones
01:55is that again you have SD card support, so you have expandable storage and
02:01It comes in handy if you do take a lot of videos and download a lot of content
02:06If not, then I think you know, you don't need it. You should probably go with the s22 ultra
02:11Now let's talk about the displays here. So there is a pretty decent display upgrade here
02:17There is a 6.8 inch display on the s22 here
02:20And then it also has the dynamic AMOLED 120 Hertz HDR 10 plus it does have a higher max brightness as well, too
02:27And then you also have a 1440p display 500 for the PPI
02:32The note if you can kind of tell it's just a little bit bigger at 6.9 inches
02:38You can kind of barely tell but 6.9 inch display dynamic AMOLED 120 Hertz HDR 10 plus also 1440p
02:46496 for the PPI
02:48So basically here the big difference is one the note can only do 120 Hertz at 1080p
02:54So that's kind of a negative and then also
02:58I think honestly they look extremely similar in terms of quality and how they feel and look they both have that curve
03:05panel to it the only real benefit to the
03:09S22 ultra display is again the max brightness and direct sunlight and then also you can use the full resolution with 120 Hertz
03:16Besides that I mean color wise they look identical. They work the same as well, too
03:21They look the same. So when it comes to display, it depends on how you know into displays you are
03:27But again, this could be a big or minor thing depending on you know, how much you're into it
03:31Let's talk about these specs a little bit more here. So on the note 20 ultra it does have
03:37Android 13 when you add 5 that was the last majorless update the snapdragon 865 chip micro SD card support
03:45128 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs of RAM the s22 ultra this has Android 14 when you add
03:516.1 and then you also have 128 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of RAM. This is a base model s24
03:59I mean a s22. Alright, so basically here you are gonna be missing
04:05You know kind of an essential thing here and it's the new
04:09AI feature so it and again this depends on if this is something that you would use but Samsung has introduced AI
04:14I'm sure they're going to introduce more AI stuff as well as the you know, software updates keep rolling out
04:20But there's a ton of stuff like the photo editor. There's a lot of translation and transcribing
04:25live interpretations the keyboard real-time
04:28Translation doing voice calls. There's a ton of stuff that you're missing out with the you know
04:33Not having the one you at 6.1 update so that is an advantage software wise
04:38But everything else is essentially the same here software wise and also speed wise
04:43They're essentially the same. So
04:46You have the snapdragon 8g at one verse the a65 chip, but it's really really not different at all
04:53general speed feels identical for the most part and
04:58It's just something that you're not going to notice
05:00So if you're thinking that you're gonna see a big like speed improvement here
05:04Is you're not really gonna see a speed improvement so you can pull up like, you know benchmark scores
05:09But I'm telling you gaming performance like playing PUBG or anything really it just feels just super similar on both of these devices
05:17You can see the note that you got in there first
05:19But when it comes down to speed and gaming and stuff like that, you are pretty much
05:25Getting the same phone so there's no real upgrade in that department here
05:30Even when it comes to the little stuff like animation stuff
05:33It really you really can't really tell the difference here for the most part again when it comes to gaming performance
05:40Roughly the same. I think the snapdragon 865 doesn't heat up as much as the agent one for me
05:46But again, no crashing or anything like that for me personally and you can see we pretty much have the same
05:52Settings on here as well too so you can play at 90 frames. No problem on both of these phones
05:57So I would say, you know for the overall gaming experience, it's gonna be pretty much the same here
06:03They both are really fast and you can pretty much play anything
06:06That you throw at these phones. So our guys we got the speakers at max volume
06:22I
06:45Yeah, so they sound very similar but the note 20 ultra does have a you know
06:50I'll let go up here because it's just louder. It's definitely louder
06:54But they do sound like similar, but I would definitely give it to the note 20 ultra
07:00I think that's my least favorite thing about the s22 ultra here is the speakers just aren't as loud
07:06But besides that the fingerprint scanners are pretty much the same
07:09They're both ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, and then you also can take advantage of the face unlock as well, too
07:16Alright guys, let's talk about the cameras on the note
07:18You do have a hundred eight megapixel standard 12 megapixel periscope telephoto with five times optical and then they have the 50 times
07:26hybrid 12 megapixel ultra wide and a k
07:2924 video 10 megapixel selfie with 4k 60
07:34On the s22 or ultra you do have a hundred eight megapixel standard 10 megapixel telephoto with three times
07:41Then a 10 megapixel periscope with 10 times and then a 12 megapixel ultra wide you also have a k24 in a 40 megapixel
07:49Selfie that shoots in 4k 60 so check out these side-by-side stills and video
07:53Let me know which phone do you think looks good, or do they look way too similar be sure to let me know
08:11I
08:41I
09:11I
09:28All right, so the battery life is going to be better on the s22 ultra it is a
09:335,000 milliamp hour battery 45 watt charging versus the 45 milliamp hour battery or
09:384,500 milliamp hour battery with 25 watt charging they both have wireless charging as well to that pretty much wraps this
09:46Comparison of guys which phone would you pick in?
09:492024 is it worth having the SD card support, or is it worth getting the updates?
09:55And you know the improvements that you see with the s22 ultra let me know and I'll catch you guys in the next one
