00:00What's up guys, today we're going to be talking about the top 5 best $300 old flagships.
00:04I did this video like 5 months ago, so we do have a few price drops.
00:10So I want to start off with the Google Pixel 7 Pro.
00:13So the Pixel 6 Pro was on this list, but now the 7 Pro is on this list.
00:17And I'll go ahead and put a screenshot up.
00:18This phone has fallen in price pretty well.
00:22It's actually around the lower $300 price point.
00:25This is an awesome phone for anybody who really takes a lot of pictures and stuff like
00:31that and you want the best quality at this price point.
00:34I would easily go with pretty much any Pixel phone for just the most consistent stills.
00:40Now again, video is not like crazy, crazy on the Pixel, but yeah, I absolutely love
00:45the stills.
00:46This phone is trending around $335, $329.
00:49I mean it's really an awesome phone.
00:51I really like the design on here as well too.
00:54If you guys have seen the Pixel 9 leaked designs, they kind of are getting away from
00:59this design and it's kind of sad.
01:01But I like this design.
01:02It has a really nice look to it.
01:04It has an aluminum frame.
01:06It's got the glass back.
01:07It's IP68 dust and water resistant.
01:10It's very easy to hold.
01:11It's got the Pixel camera bar on the back.
01:14And yeah, I just absolutely love how this phone looks and feels in the hand.
01:18It's got a 6.7 inch LTPO AMOLED display.
01:21It's HDR10 plus with 1500 nits peak brightness.
01:24It's full of 1440p 512 for the PPI.
01:27Overall, a beautiful display as well.
01:29I don't really have any complaints with it.
01:31It is a curved panel as well too, which again, I like curved panels, but I know quite a few
01:36people don't.
01:37The cool thing about the Pixels is that you do have stock Android on board.
01:41So this phone got the Android 14 update.
01:43You'll be the first to get the beta software when Android 15 comes out.
01:47And yeah, so it's just going to be a very smooth and very Google experience, of course.
01:52So this phone does have the Google Tensor G2 processor on here and just looking at the
01:57Pixel from a couple months ago when I did the video, it's still a fantastic phone when
02:02it comes to performance and it's really not that bad when it comes to gaming.
02:06It's not as well optimized as the Snapdragon processors, but it still does a great job.
02:11You can still play PUBG, HDR Extreme, Call of Duty.
02:14There was nothing that I threw at it that it wouldn't be able to do.
02:16If you're more of a pro gamer, then you would go with another phone.
02:20But yeah, overall, I think the phone is still pretty fast.
02:24It's got 128 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of RAM.
02:27The stereo speakers are actually pretty loud on here.
02:30You do have a fingerprint sensor on here.
02:32It is an under the display optical one.
02:34It works fine.
02:35I don't have any major issues with it.
02:36You can also take advantage of the face unlock as well too.
02:40Now again, the highlight with this phone is going to be the cameras.
02:42A 15 megapixel standard, 48 megapixel telephoto with 5x optical, and then you have a 12 megapixel
02:48ultrawide.
02:50You do have 4K 60 video on the front and back, and a 10.8 megapixel ultrawide selfie.
02:55A lot of people don't know, I film pretty much all my shorts with the Pixel 7 Pro and
03:01the Pixel 8 Pro.
03:03Huge fan of the Pixel video, I just like how the color seems a little bit more natural
03:07for me.
03:08But yeah, typically people will say iPhone, Samsung for the best video.
03:12I do like the Pixel video, so I'm a big fan of the whole camera system.
03:16So this phone, it does have a 5,000 mAh battery, it's got 23 watt wire charging, and 23 watt
03:22wireless charging.
03:23It does have reverse charging.
03:25So for battery life, it's pretty average.
03:27You can get 6 hours of screen on time pretty easily, so not bad at all.
03:31And again, this is probably one of the best phones when it comes to taking photos and
03:35giving you that pure stock Android experience for relatively cheap.
03:40Alright, so the next really amazing price drop is actually the S21 Ultra.
03:45This phone came down to $314 guys, it's pretty amazing.
03:48I'm really, really shocked by that.
03:50I wasn't expecting it to come down this cheap.
03:52I mean, I think by the end of the year, this might be in the upper $200s.
03:57So I mean, that's just insane considering how good the phone is.
04:00I'm not really sure why the price is dropping on this one.
04:04But yeah, this would be my personal favorite on the list.
04:08It's got a beautiful, beautiful design.
04:10It's aluminum frame, it's IP68 dust and water resistant, and you also have the S-Pen support
04:15on this phone.
04:16It's not built in, but you do have it, and you can buy the pen separate.
04:20It's just way easier to hold than any of the Note phones, and I just absolutely love the
04:25design.
04:26It still has that really nice, you know, kind of Terminator look, especially like the black
04:30one.
04:31I just absolutely love how it looks.
04:33And then also, you have a big 6.8 inch dynamic AMOLED display.
04:36It's 120Hz HDR10+, 1500 nits peak brightness.
04:40The thing that I, what I like about this phone is that it's big, but the display is not boxy,
04:44so you can hold it.
04:46You can really enjoy the display on here, it's 1440p, 515 for the PPI.
04:51Just a beautiful panel, really nice and vibrant, and definitely bright outdoors too.
04:56This phone also has Android 14 on it, it's got the One UI 6 update, and this phone also
05:01will be getting the Android 15 update as well too.
05:04This phone does have the Snapdragon 888 processor on here as well.
05:09This processor is really not that bad, it does get a little bit warmer than I would
05:13like.
05:14I haven't had any type of crashes when I've been gaming or anything like that, it's just
05:17one of those processors that, you know, when they put it out, it's always just been kind
05:21of a warm phone.
05:23Most people won't notice because they'll throw a case on it, but again, there's no major
05:26performance problems for me.
05:28So this phone does have 128GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM.
05:33Like I said, the phone is plenty fast, you can play PUBG at 90 frames, you can pretty
05:36much play anything.
05:37And the phone is going to be just, it's crazy fast for the price point.
05:41And you also do have pretty decent speakers on here.
05:44Like I said, you have the S-Pen support, you have the under-the-display fingerprint sensor,
05:48which is an ultrasonic, so that's very fast as well too.
05:51This phone actually has a pretty impressive camera setup.
05:54If you guys saw the Day in the Life video that I did with this phone, then you know
05:58that this phone just killed it when it came to the stills.
06:02And also the zoom photography was still top-notch on this phone.
06:05I was just blown away by how good this phone still was.
06:09It's a 108MP standard, 10MP telephoto, 3x optical, 10MP periscope telephoto, 10x optical,
06:17it has 100x space zoom, 12MP ultra-wide, it shoots in 8K24, and you have a 40MP selfie
06:24that shoots in 4K60.
06:26The shots on here are going to be phenomenal, guys.
06:28Really well-detailed, great color, I mean the pictures really speak for themselves.
06:32Like I said, check out that video that I did.
06:35I was just pretty impressed.
06:36The only thing about these phones is that I think the selfie, you always have to kind
06:41of edit the selfies, the color on them, because it does kind of like the skin-whitening thing,
06:48which I'm not a big fan of, but that can be easily fixed with a little bit of editing.
06:53But yeah, overall, the cameras are just really nice, I really enjoy the image quality.
06:59So this phone does have a 5000mAh battery, it's got 25W charging, wireless and reverse
07:04wireless charging.
07:05Battery life on here is still pretty average for the most part.
07:08Again, you're looking at around like 6 hours of screen on time for a light user.
07:13For a more heavier user, you can expect that you're going to have to charge this phone
07:16a little bit.
07:17But overall, I do think the battery life is fine for the most part.
07:21But just like I said, my favorite pick on the list.
07:23Alright guys, next is the iPhone 12.
07:26This phone actually has gotten a big price drop as well too.
07:30You can find these for around $265 now.
07:34Like I said, it's really looking like one of the best times to buy an old flagship now.
07:38The prices have just really come down a lot.
07:41And yeah, this is an awesome iPhone, I mean, it's just extremely cheap at this point.
07:46So it's aluminum frame, you have IP68 dust and water resistant.
07:50It still has that very modern look to it as well too.
07:53It's got that, you know, kind of boxy look and the cameras pretty much, you know, if
07:57you switch them around, they pretty much look like the latest iPhone as well too.
08:00So it's still got that very nice modern look to it, which I really like.
08:04It's got the Super Retina XDR OLED display, it's HDR10, it's 1200 nits peak brightness.
08:09It is a 1080p plus resolution display at 460 for the PPI.
08:13Overall, a very nice display.
08:16I do think the notch is getting a little bit dated in 2024, but it is Apple so, you
08:21know, I mean, it doesn't matter at this point.
08:24But yeah, the display on here is actually a very nice color accurate display.
08:28I really like the colors on here.
08:31This phone, it does have the latest version of iOS.
08:33So this phone should get a couple more updates as well too.
08:37And it has the Apple A14 chipset on here.
08:39The phone is still blazing, blazing fast.
08:41It's still very fast when it comes to performance, gaming, pretty much anything I threw at it.
08:47It still had really good performance.
08:49It's got 64 gigs of internal storage and 4 gigs of RAM, which I think is a little bit
08:53low in 2024.
08:55So I would opt for the 128 gig and just pay a little bit more money since it is basically
08:59under 300 bucks at this point.
09:02So the stereo speakers are solid on here.
09:04Of course, you got Face ID and all that good stuff.
09:07The cameras on here, I still think this probably takes some of the best video.
09:11I'm a huge fan of iPhone video.
09:12It's got a 12 megapixel standard and a 12 megapixel ultra wide.
09:16It shoots in 4K 60 as well too.
09:19And video just look really natural and really good dynamic range.
09:22So like I said, I'm a big fan of iPhone video.
09:25You've also got the 12 megapixel selfie cam on here.
09:28It shoots in 4K 60 as well.
09:30And overall, just excellent quality cameras on here.
09:34Like I said, if you're an iPhone fan, I would really pick this phone up.
09:37And I know a lot of people at this price range, they're probably looking at like the iPhone
09:4111 and 11 Pro.
09:42I would skip that and just get the iPhone 12.
09:44The cameras are really good.
09:45Video is really good.
09:46The build quality is a little bit more modern as well too.
09:50You also do have on here somewhat decent battery life.
09:53Nothing too crazy.
09:54It's got a 2,815 milliamp hour battery.
09:57It's got wireless charging.
09:58You can use the MagSafe accessories as well too.
10:01You also have wireless charging on here as well.
10:05And yeah, the battery performance is pretty decent on here.
10:08Before you buy, if you buy on eBay, always ask for the battery health.
10:12You want to aim for something in the upper 80s.
10:14If not, you can always just swap it out for I think like 30 bucks or something like that.
10:19But yeah, so battery life on here is going to be solid.
10:22So this is a fantastic buy.
10:24Next is the Note 20 Ultra and this is in the upper $300 price point.
10:28And I don't think the price is going to come down at all.
10:31Even when the phone stops getting security, I still don't think it's going to come down
10:35too much.
10:36I think it's going to come down to like maybe the lower $300 maybe.
10:39But this phone is just holding value like I've never seen before.
10:44But it's an excellent phone.
10:45I understand why a lot of people want this phone.
10:47It's got stainless steel.
10:48It's IP68 dust and water resistant.
10:50It's got the built-in S Pen.
10:52It's got that boxy design that people really like.
10:55And yeah, so I'm not a huge fan of the boxy design because it's sharp, but a lot of people
11:01like that TV screen look.
11:03It's got the dynamic AMOLED display.
11:05It's 120Hz HDR10+.
11:07This phone has a pretty big 6.9-inch display which is kind of unique now because Samsung
11:12really doesn't make the 6.9-inch displays anymore.
11:15It's 1440p.
11:16It's 496 for the PPI.
11:18Again, you can only use 120Hz at 1080p.
11:21And the last update for this phone was Android 13 with One UI 5.
11:26But this phone is blazing fast.
11:27It's still very efficient when it comes to the processor.
11:30It's the Snapdragon 865 chipset on here.
11:33And like I said, it still plays pretty much anything really well.
11:37It's Call of Duty, PUBG at 90 frames.
11:40It's just a beast when it comes to performance.
11:41The phone really has not slowed down pretty much at all.
11:45It's got microSD card support which is a big thing as well too.
11:48A lot of people like.
11:49You've got 128GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM.
11:53So overall, you kind of see why the Note is retaining so much value.
11:57It's because SD card support, massive display.
12:01It's just a thing that people really like.
12:04Now the cameras on here are still pretty decent.
12:06It's 108MP standard, 12MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical, 50x hybrid, 12MP ultra-wide.
12:14It shoots in 8K 24, 10MP selfie that shoots in 4K 60.
12:18You can still get some really great shots out of the Note 20.
12:22But I noticed that in low light, you can get pictures get a little bit soft.
12:28I'm not a big fan of how the selfie does, you know, again the skin lighting stuff.
12:34But the cameras are very good for what you're paying here for sure.
12:38The video is also pretty solid on here as well too.
12:41But again, you can kind of see its age when you take it out of any type of good lighting.
12:45Now the battery life on here is not crazy impressive.
12:49It's got a 4500mAh battery.
12:51I can squeeze almost 6 hours of screen at one time as a light user.
12:56But if you're gaming, you're definitely going to have to charge this one.
12:5925W charging, wireless and reverse wireless charging is on board.
13:04And yeah, the battery experience is just okay.
13:06You got the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on here that works really well.
13:11It's just a fantastic phone to buy.
13:13You kind of see why it's retaining its value so much.
13:16Alright, last is the Galaxy S22+.
13:19This is again another shocker for me.
13:21Looking at the price drop, you can find this on Amazon for $324 now.
13:27Just a crazy price considering how well rounded the phone is.
13:30I mean, this is probably like my second favorite pick on the list.
13:33This phone is extremely good.
13:35Very underrated.
13:36A lot of people, you know, have forgotten about this device.
13:39But there's nothing about this device I don't like.
13:41The design on here is extremely comfortable.
13:44It's got aluminum frames, it's got the glass back, IP68 dust and water resistant.
13:49It also has a very nice looking design on here.
13:51The display is a completely flat display as well too at 6.6 inches.
13:55Dynamic AMOLED, 120Hz HDR10+, 1750 nits peak brightness, so very bright outdoors.
14:02It's 1080p 393 for the PPI.
14:05Like I said, for those who don't like the curved displays of the S21 Ultra and the Note
14:0920, you will like this phone.
14:11And it's not like super, super big as well too.
14:14It's big, but it's not like crazy big.
14:16This phone also has the Android 14 when you watch 6, so this phone has a few more updates
14:20as well too, which is really nice.
14:22You got the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on here as well too.
14:25And this phone is a beast when it comes to performance.
14:28And not only that, but this phone will potentially get the Galaxy AI features as well too.
14:35So if you pick this up for, you know, $300, you're getting basically the same features
14:39of the S24, which is going to be crazy.
14:42It dropped for the S23, so we're just waiting for the S22 series to get it.
14:46But that's going to be big, because that's going to make this phone so much more valuable
14:50in the used refurbished marketplace, I think.
14:52It's going to be very slept on.
14:54But performance-wise, absolutely beast.
14:57You've also got 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM.
15:00Very good speakers on here, fingerprint scanner, excellent on here.
15:05So the cameras are probably my favorite thing about this phone.
15:08It's got a 50-megapixel standard, a 10-megapixel telephoto, 3x optical, 12-megapixel ultra-wide,
15:15shoots in 8K24, 10-megapixel selfie shoots in 4K60.
15:20I absolutely love the cameras on here.
15:22Very good detail, good dynamic range, does pretty decent in low light as well too.
15:27The video is solid.
15:29I like the colors on here.
15:31It is just an awesome camera to take photos on.
15:34It's really, really good.
15:35It's very close to the S23 and S24 in terms of still image quality.
15:40I was really impressed by how close the quality is.
15:44The battery life is also another highlight on here.
15:47This phone has very good standby time and just good battery life in general.
15:524500mAh battery, charges decently fast at 45W.
15:56You also got the wireless and reverse wireless charging.
15:58This is a phone that I get really good battery life on.
16:02So this is, again, my second favorite pick.
16:04I think this is extremely solid.
16:06I think that you guys should really look into this.
