00:00The word sami' comes from the root word sa-mi-a and it means to hear.
00:08All creatures may have different grades of hearing.
00:11For example, humans can hear to a certain distance and can hear certain sounds.
00:17Cats can hear a lot more than humans and detect different sounds.
00:22Bats can hear at high frequencies and fish can also hear underwater.
00:27As you can see, all of the creatures have a limitation with hearing.
00:32Some are higher than others and some are lower than others.
00:36Some can only hear underwater and so on.
00:39Allah is called al-sami'a.
00:42He hears all sounds and voices without any limitations, whatever language you say it in.
00:49He hears everything and understands everything.
00:52He hears an ant chewing food under the ground even if there is a lot of noise in the environment.
00:58He hears the fish even if they are so deep in the ocean.
01:02He hears your cry in the middle of the night and listens to every voice perfectly without any limitations.
01:09Have you ever tried to listen to multiple people at the same time?
01:14We can't do it.
01:15Allah al-sami'a can listen, hear and understand everyone and everything at the same time without any limitations.
01:24As creatures, we also need ears and other material things to help us hear.
01:29Allah doesn't need ears.
01:31He has perfect hearing.
01:33He hears without the use of any parts or instruments for hearing.
01:37Al-sami'a even hears your inner voice, your thoughts, your intentions and your motives.
01:44Al-sami'a, he is the one that prays to him and supplicates.
01:49We say in our daily prayers all the time,
01:52سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَةٍ
01:55which means Allah definitely hears the one who praises him.
01:59Nothing on earth or in the heavens can ever be hidden from him.
02:04The Holy Quran says,
02:06وَهُوَ السَّمِعُ الْعَلِيمُ
02:09He is the all-hearing and the all-knowing.
02:12How should we live by this name?
02:141. Allah gave each and every one of us the blessing of hearing.
02:20Use it in the right manner to get closer to Allah.
02:23Don't use it to listen to haram music.
02:26Don't listen to gossip and backbiting.
02:29Don't listen to lying and swearing.
02:322. Use your hearing for good things and good words.
02:36Listen to Quran, dhikr, good advice and kind words from others.
02:413. Sometimes we ask Allah for something but it doesn't happen quickly.
02:47Allah definitely heard you and nothing is missed.
02:50So don't lose hope. You have not been forgotten.
02:534. Allah doesn't just hear what you say outwardly.
02:58He hears your inner thoughts and secrets too.
03:01So think of positive things as nothing is hidden from Allah al-Sami'ah.
