00:00Today I'm going to be updating you guys on my top 5 favorite Samsung smartphones to buy.
00:04I've got a phone here for pretty much everybody for any budget, so let's go ahead and get
00:09started here.
00:10The Samsung Galaxy S22 is really one of my favorite pickups this year.
00:15I picked it up refurbished, renewed for 400 bucks.
00:18I'll have the link down below.
00:19And I've just been extremely impressed with this device.
00:22I absolutely love the size of the device and how comfortable it is.
00:26And Samsung went back to premium materials on the back of the phone.
00:29So it just overall feels just like an excellent, you know, premium device here.
00:34So it is a dynamic AMOLED display.
00:37It is 6.1 inches, so like I said, somewhat compact, 120Hz HDR10+.
00:43It gets up to 1300 nits peak brightness, so very bright display.
00:46It's 1080p, 425 for the PPI.
00:49Just a beautiful display here with the punch hole in the middle, very slim bezels on here
00:54as well.
00:55And it overall just has a really nice premium feel to it.
01:00Also, you are running the Android 12 with One UI.
01:03And then you have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which is really the main selling point at
01:07this price.
01:08For 400 bucks, it's sort of competing with other mid-range phones and it just blows those
01:13phones out of the water as far as, you know, what you're getting for power.
01:17So gaming performance on here is top notch.
01:19You can pretty much play any game you want at high settings and it just goes through
01:23it like a blast.
01:26It does have 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM on here.
01:29So multitasking and performance in general is going to be very good.
01:33The stereo speakers on here sound excellent, so I had no issues with that.
01:38And you also have on here all the little bells and whistles like NFC, fingerprint scanner
01:43under the display works really well, face unlock, Samsung desktop support, and wireless
01:47DeX.
01:48You just have pretty much everything that you would find on most flagships these days.
01:54This phone also has a phenomenal camera setup and that was one of the things I was really
01:58impressed with.
01:59If you guys check out my camera comparisons, it has a 50-megapixel standard, a 10-megapixel
02:03telephoto lens that does 3x, and then a 12-megapixel ultra-wide.
02:07It also shoots in 8K 24 with a 10-megapixel selfie cam that shoots in 4K 60.
02:13You guys can see the shots for yourself.
02:15Absolutely beautiful photos in terms of color science, just gives you really bright, vibrant,
02:20lively shots, and just great detail overall.
02:23All the lenses are very nice, very close to the main lens, so you're just getting good
02:27quality out of all these lenses, and video is excellent as well, too.
02:31Battery life is also pretty good on this phone.
02:34I'm actually able to get around six hours of screen-on time, and this phone has really
02:38great standby time as well, too, with 3,700 milliamp battery, 25-watt fast charging, which
02:43is decent, and you have wireless and reverse wireless charging, so for $400, this is really
02:48a steal.
02:49All right, guys, next is going to be the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra here.
02:53I'm actually using this phone as my daily dropper right now.
02:55Absolutely love it.
02:56There are some things I don't like about it, which I will mention, but in general, it's
03:00an excellent phone.
03:02I think the only thing is that it's just big and boxy, and I wish they made a smaller version
03:06of this phone like they did with the Note 10 series.
03:09They had a smaller one and a big one, but yeah, the experience has been really great
03:14with this phone.
03:16display.
03:17It's 6.8 inches, 120 hertz, HDR10+, 1,750 nits peak brightness.
03:23It's just a really bright display outdoors, really vibrant, beautiful to look at, really
03:26slim bezels, full 1440p, 540 PPI.
03:30It's a beautiful display to watch content on.
03:33Again, just an excellent experience when it comes to that.
03:37The hardware on here has grown on me.
03:39It's really nice-looking.
03:40A lot of people didn't like it, but like I said, it's grown on me.
03:44You do have the built-in stylus on here this year, and that works great, so anybody in
03:50digital artwork or you just want to navigate with a stylus, it does an excellent job at
03:55that.
03:56It's IP68, dust and water resistant.
03:58Of course, we have Android with the upcoming One UI 5 is going to be on here soon with
04:04a ton of more features.
04:05The Snapdragon 8Gen1 on this phone is excellent.
04:09I haven't had any issues performance-wise.
04:11I haven't had the phone heating up or anything like that.
04:13Even though I'm not a huge gamer, but just daily performance has been just super fast
04:19on this phone.
04:20The base model is 128 gigs and 8 gigs of RAM, which is the one I have.
04:24If you take a lot of pictures and video, you will fill it up, so do note that.
04:28You might want to get the 256 version.
04:30Also, the speakers are actually, they're meh compared to other smartphones that I've been
04:35testing.
04:36The speakers are fine, but definitely Samsung's not their best speakers that they've had,
04:41especially compared to their previous flagships.
04:44Does have NFC, fingerprint scanner, all the little bells and whistles, Samsung desktop
04:48support.
04:49The main selling point with this phone is the crazy camera setup.
04:52Honestly, if you're into zoom photography, this is probably one of the best phones that
04:55you can get right now.
04:57It has a 108 megapixel standard, so extremely detailed shots, 10 megapixel periscope telephoto
05:03does 10x, and then a 10 megapixel telephoto does 3x, and then you also have a 12 megapixel
05:08ultrawide.
05:09It shoots in 8K 24, with a 40 megapixel selfie that shoots in 4K 60.
05:14Photos on here are absolutely beautiful.
05:16It's my second favorite phone to take pictures on, besides the Pixel, because it just gives
05:21you really vibrant shots.
05:22I don't have to do a lot of image editing with this phone.
05:24It's something that I really, really like, because the image processing comes out exactly
05:29how I would want it to look in most cases.
05:32Also, battery life is pretty good on this phone.
05:35Mine lasts for about a day, I get six hours of screen on time pretty easily.
05:40You do have 5,000 milliamp battery, 45 watt charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless
05:45charging.
05:46Everything on here has been a great experience since I bought it.
05:49I had it day one, and I've been using it ever since.
05:51It's just an excellent experience.
05:54Next is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.
05:55This phone has held up so well, and it's just getting cheaper and cheaper, and it just feels
06:02so awesome for an older flagship.
06:04I think the design on here is absolutely beautiful.
06:07It's one of my favorite designs of all time, and yeah, it just feels very modern still.
06:12Even for today, it's got a 6.8 inch dynamic AMOLED display.
06:16It's 1440p, 498 for the PPI.
06:20It's still a beautiful display.
06:22Really all it's missing is any type of high refresh rate, because it still looks extremely
06:26modern compared to even the S22 Ultra, or even the new iPhones or whatever.
06:31It's still a top notch display.
06:33Like I said, hardware premium quality on here, IP68.
06:37You have the built-in S Pen, so if you want an S Pen for cheap, I would definitely go
06:42for one of these phones.
06:44This phone is still shockingly impressive when it comes to performance.
06:47The Snapdragon 855 chip is no joke.
06:50You guys saw my comparison even against the A16.
06:53Opens applications fast.
06:55Just general performance is fast.
06:57Gaming performance.
06:58I have a gaming test.
06:59Check that out.
07:00Excellent.
07:01It does a crazy good job for such an older phone.
07:04On top of that, you have SD card support, 256 gigs of internal storage on the base model,
07:09and 12 gigs of RAM.
07:12That's just awesome.
07:13You get all that storage for cheap, and just so much performance.
07:18You guys see why I like this phone so much.
07:20Speaker quality, excellent on this guy as well.
07:24Top notch speakers, NFC, a fingerprint scanner on the display, fast.
07:28All bells and whistles are still here.
07:30Desktop support, reverse wireless charging.
07:32All of that.
07:33The only thing with this phone is that Android 12 was its last update.
07:36It's only getting security patches.
07:38It'll get security patches for the next three years.
07:41Also, this phone does have pretty good camera setup.
07:44I compared it to the 14, and it did a pretty good job.
07:47A 12 megapixel standard, a 12 megapixel telephoto, and then a 16 megapixel ultra wide.
07:53She's in 4K 60 on the front and back with a 10 megapixel selfie.
07:57It does a pretty good job, especially in good lighting.
08:00It does a phenomenal job.
08:01I don't think the cameras suck at all.
08:03I think they, like I said, do a very good job.
08:05Honestly, I think it beats a lot of mid-rangers as well.
08:08All right, so let's talk about the battery life.
08:11This is another phone where battery life is pretty much still pretty good on here.
08:14It's 4,300 milliamp battery, 45 watt charging with wireless and reverse wireless charging.
08:20Easily can get around six hours of screen on time with this phone as well.
08:24In general, if you're looking for a cheap phone with a S Pen that's going to give you
08:28good performance, this is easily a great recommendation.
08:31All right, next is the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
08:34This is the sort of last Note with SD card support, and this phone is still fairly modern.
08:39You can get it for a really good price.
08:41The price is coming down on this phone every year.
08:44Yeah, I really do like the display on here as well too.
08:47It's actually massive display at 6.9 inches, and it actually has 120 hertz, but you can
08:52only use it at 1080p.
08:54It's HDR10+, it's 1440p, 496 for the PPI.
08:58It's a beautiful, like I said, massive display, so if you really like big displays, you'll
09:03love this phone.
09:04The hardware, I think, still looks really good on here as well, and then you also have,
09:08again, the built-in S Pen, so digital artists, people who just want to navigate with a pen,
09:14you'll really like this.
09:15This one actually gets Android 13 as well too, which is really nice.
09:20This phone does have the Snapdragon 865.
09:22I did a gaming test.
09:23It still flies through games, and just general performance is going to be excellent on this
09:28device as well too.
09:30This one actually, like I said, has SD card support, 128 gigs of internal storage, 12
09:35gigs of RAM on here, so you have plenty of storage, plenty of power on this phone.
09:39I think one of the big selling points with this phone is that it still has a crazy good
09:46camera system, so it's got the same 108 megapixel standard that you would find on an S22 as
09:52far as resolution, 12 megapixel periscope telephoto, that's 50x hybrid zoom, 12 megapixel
09:58ultra-wide, it can shoot in 8K.
10:00You also have 10 megapixel selfie cam that shoots in 4K60.
10:04It's going to give you some beautiful shots on here, just top-notch quality shots.
10:09I have a comparison with the S22 Ultra.
10:11You guys can see how kind of close they are.
10:13That phone does do better zoom, but this is still an impressive camera.
10:17Also, this phone has excellent, super loud speakers on here.
10:22As far as software support, all the bells and whistles are here under the display fingerprint
10:28sensor, Samsung desktop support, all the bells and whistles still here.
10:32It also has, on here, fairly good battery life as well, too.
10:36We have 4,500 milliamp battery, 25-watt charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging
10:43as well, so you get, again, around six hours of screen-on time with this phone, and everything
10:49is just awesome on here.
10:51It's got a built-in scanner, super fast.
10:52I have zero complaints with this phone at this price point.
10:55It's just an amazing buy.

10:57The last phone on the list is the Galaxy S10 Plus, and honestly, you can go with any of
11:01the S10 series phones.
11:04They all do a phenomenal job.
11:06This phone is super cheap.
11:07You can find it for, like, 200 bucks these days, and it's really a great phone for anybody
11:12who still wants, like, the headphone jack and stuff like that.
11:15This is an awesome phone for that.
11:17It still has a very nice premium design.
11:20It also is IP68 dust and water resistant, has a 6.4-inch dynamic AMOLED display.
11:25It's HDR10+, and it is 1440p, 522 for the PPI.
11:31Again, actually, it's still a really nice, vibrant, beautiful display, and like I said,
11:35super high resolution as well, too.
11:38This phone, last update was Android 12, and it's currently getting security patches.
11:43Snapdragon 855.
11:44This phone is blazing fast when it comes to gaming performance.
11:47I do have a full gaming test if you guys want to check that out.
11:50This phone has microSD card support, 128 gigs of internal storage, 8 gigs of RAM.
11:55You also have really nice-sounding stereo speakers, and like I said, for those headphone
11:59jack lovers, this does have a headphone jack.
12:02You also have NFC on board under the display fingerprint sensor.
12:05It's super fast as well, too, and then you also have on here pretty good cameras.
12:10It's a 12-megapixel standard, 12-megapixel telephoto, 16-megapixel ultra-wide.
12:15It's pretty much on par with the Note 10+, shoots in 4K 60 on the front and back, and
12:20then you actually have a 10-megapixel selfie cam, and then an 8-megapixel depth sensor
12:25up there as well, too, so that dual-camera setup is very nice to have, and overall, images
12:30look pretty good on the S10+.
12:33Battery life is also pretty good on this phone.
12:35You have a 4100 milliamp battery, 15-watt charging, and then you also have wireless
12:40charging and reverse wireless charging, so it's one of the more complete older flagship
12:44phones.
12:45It has everything, SD card support, headphone jack, great display, powerful chip, so it's
12:50really more complete choice on the list for people who really want that.
